FM/prog/table to check weather a request is deleted or not

Hi Experts,
I am looking for a way to check weather a data load request is deleted from the target or not.
Is there any FM/Program/Table to acheive this?

Hi Purvang,
In table RSICPROT the filed ACTION tells you what activity is going on for the Data target.
ACTION = DSHIE is for when ever the data target is updated
1) In case of ODS it could be data load to new data table or data activation/addition data to active table or removal of data from ODS. For each there is a unique record
2) In case of InfoCube its addition of deletion of data.
ACTION = ODSACTIVAT is for when ever the data/request is activated in a DSO
ACTION = REQU_DEL is for when ever the data/request is deleted
There are other actions as well specific to InfoCubes like :-
ACTION = ROLL_UP is for when ever the InfoCube data is Rolled Up
ACTION = COMPRIMIER is for when ever the InfoCube data is Compressed
ACTION = AGGR2 is for when ever the InfoCube has a aggregates created

Concurrent request got deleted from a request group

Hi,
Somehow a concurrent request got deleted from a request group. Is there any way so that we can determine the person from whose login it happened.

You can try using PSA if that request it's still there.
Otherwise, you will need to regenerate that request in source system (by filling setup tables with parameters) and update BW with a full load.

Hello,
You can delete the request by deleting the respective entries in tables RSODSACTREQ and RSODSACTUPDTYPE through debugging options.
Check also fm RSDRO_SETSTATUS_FOR_REQUEST_20.
If your request is not activated delete that request from that tables and no further procedure is needed.

Do you mean to delete the activated requests ?
If yes then if you delete the inbetween request then the request that had the higher number will also be deleted.
If its not activated then you can delete any one you wish.
If your request is activated in the ODS, You know the range of records you need to delte irrespective of the request you should go for selective deletion.
If you require to delete the complete request then its obvious to go with the request deletion.

Request Got Deleted From 0PP_C01(Planned/Actual Comparison Order/Material)

Hi experts,
I am a newbie in the BW area.
We have 0PP_C01(Planned/Actual Comparison Order/Material View) , 0PP_C03(Plan/Actual Comparison Operation/Work Center View) and 0PP_C05(Plan/Actual Comparison Material Consumption) activated in our production system.
Few days before one data error happened during data load and accidentially, that particular request got deleted from the system.
When we tried to load data again, it is not allowing since the request is missing and the update mode is delta update.
Can any one guide me to retrieve the data back to the system??

Can we add a cube to BIA if the requests are deleted daily

Hello gurus,
We are facing a question with what cubes should be the candidates for BIA.
We have few infocubes where the data is loaded for the current period daily and the previous request is deleted. This is how this cube handles the delta. Can we add this type of a cube to BIA without having to re-index the whole cube every day?
Most forums and experts say we need to re-index the cube once you delete data out of the cube selectively. Is this procedure considered selective deletion and does it not work like a regular delta and if we roll up BIA after the load, does the BIA automatically load the delta indexes?
Please let me know your views on this.

Yes, you can do the rollup and it will take care of filling the indexes.
We have a similar scenario, where we are using "Delete Overlapping Request " for Budget and Target Data for few cubes. We have indexed the cubes and use rollup to fill the BWA Indexes in our daily process chains.So , i would suggest you that there is no harm in this process.
But over the time , depending on the data volume, you need to delete unused BWA index data as a part of maintainance activities.
And as you mentioned in your case, you have few cubes , it would be best if you automate the process of deleting,creating and filling the BWA indexes of the cubes using a process chain that can be scheduled to run on a weekly/required frequency depending on the data volume.This will save a lot of manual effort.

Transport request containing deleted entries.

I am facing an issue regarding transport handling and TADIR.
Steps:
1. I create few objects which are added to a transport request.
2. Later I delete these objects.
3. I release the transport request. It works fine. The objects CAN be seen in the Transport request.
4. I create a new transport request and call the Function Module TRINT_COPY_COMM to copy the
old transport into the new one(All objects can be seen in this new transport request).
5. When I try to release the new transport request. I get an error.
The issue is that those entries which were deleted are now not existing in TADIR. Hence a lock on those entries could not be obtained and release fails. I am able to proceed by manually deleting these entries from the transport.
Let me know if there exists some function module
1. To copy the transport request into another but while copying it removes the deleted entries.
or
2. Some function module to find which objects from the transport request are TADIR relevant, then another one to check
if its in TADIR, and one to delete entries from transport request.

Hi,
It is not problem it normal behavior of TMS. It will not effect on any of but you should delete such type of object manually from request.
Goto transaction se01 and expand your request and delete object from the request which all ready deleted.
Then only you can release the request.

Issue with ESS Leave request workflow - Deleting a leave request

This is my scenario: An employee has created a leave request from ESS - Leave Request Workflow(Copy of WS12300111) gets triggered and work item gets created in manager's UWL. After that the employee realizes he has created a wrong leave request so he deletes that leave request from ESS. In this case the workflow instance which got triggered when he created the leave request is under process and the work item stays in the Manager's UWL( there is no terminating event or wait for event step in the approval step of workflow WS12300111), when the Manger opens that work item it shows a blank column, ideally speaking when the leave request is deleted by the employee the work item in the manger's UWL should be logically deleted and the workflow should complete, but this part is not handled in the standard workflow WS12300111as well. How to handle this case. I can put a wait for event or a condition to complete a work item at the approval step but i would like to know how the standard ESS leave request framework works in this case. Please advice.

This is not handled in std. You have clear the next processor in your in method then only the work item will get vanished from the UWL. For clearting the next processor either you can create a method in your BOR and get the request id. For the request id get the max version and clear the next processor or in the BADI you have wirte your own logic when the change happens what you have to do. This logic has to be written in you BADI. I thing BADI will start with PT_ check with that name in se18
You cannot use wait for event or terminating event since its not R/3 workflow its ESS workflow you cannot use ternminating event or wait step.

If you want to delete queries and transport them you can go to BEx->open Query->search for the query you want do delete->press the trash button->add to transport
Now you can transport it to QA and PROD and that query will be deleted in all the systems where the transport went with success.
You can do that to whatever queries you want.

I am not sure what you are trying to do but try following:
An object can be deleted from the request only if the request is not released.
Go to SE10 and click on display at the bottom of the screen (make sure modifiable is selected)
Now look for the request, expand it, select the component you want to delete and delete it (either right click delete or click on trash can from the menu)
If an request is released than object from it cannot be deleted. Create a new request assign required objects to it.
If you want you may not import the earlier released request.

Data not received in PSA Table - Data of request already deleted

I'm running a delta load on a BI 7.0 system and get this error Data not received in PSA Table.
And when I click on the PSA table it telling me that Data of request XXXXXX already deleted.
I have tried to do a consistency check in RSRV. See if there's any IDOCs in pb87.
And the short dump analysis just say:
A RAISE statement in the program "SAPLRSSM" raised the exception
condition "NOT_EXIST".
Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior
program, processing was terminated.
I've also tried to repeat the load but with no luck.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Hi,
Delete the bad requests in 3 targets and delete the data mart status in Source DSO.
Also delete the green request in the Source DSO and repeat it.
Once it loads successfully then load the data to other 3 targets.

No commitment line item in Purchase requestion after deletion .

User created a line item 20 in the purchase requestion with account assignment u2018Fu2019 (orders ) and deleted this Item 20, usually when deleted ,the line item will be there with deleted symbol, but the line item was not there in the PR
But commitment values for item 20 are shown in PR menu (Environment -> AC Commitment documents ) and in T.code KOB2 (Commitment line items for orders )and in report S_ALR_87013019 (budget/actual commitments)
So user was not able to process new PR with reference to their own budget.so i want to make the commitment value to zero .
one more thing our client has upgraded to ECC6.0 ,will it be the problem for this .

In most of the cases Problem with Commitments are expected for no valid reason. I suggest you to run Program RKANBU01 to fix incorrect commitment. If this is not solved check If you have program ZKAOIDE0 in your system. You can run this program to solve the issue.

Overlapping requests not deleted from Infocube

Hi gurus,
I have included a delete overlapping requests process as the final step in one of my process chain.
I am using the infopackage selection options to delete the request, but it appears not to be working, the log chain gives OK status, but requests are not deleted. Am I missing any step???
We are using BI 7.0.

Have you enabled deletion ?
In planning view just double click on "Delete overlapping request" variant.
At top you should see your infopackage or DTP.
At bottom you have "Deletion Selections" here check here if you have ticked "Delete Existing requests" and chosen overlapping or same or more comprehensive.

How to create a deletion transport request without deleting the object.

Hi Experts,
I got a very strange requirement in which i want to delete a object from QA envirement. One way to delete it is delete the object in developement and save it in a transport request. And transport that request to QA.
But can't delete the object from Dev environment. So is there any other way by which i can do this.

Hi,
You need not worry about deleting the objects in QA now.
Have the set of objects which you will not be tranporting to PROD.
After your project is live and during support before handholding to the customer, clean your system DEV,QUA.

Can we create Transport request for deleting a package?

Hi all,
We have few customised programs and tables developed in a package. Normally we create a transport request, include the objects for this package, then generate the FTP files and send it to user. Now the user wants us to create a FTP files for deletiing the package. Can this be possible without effecting the package in our system?( For this we have only dev sys)

You have to ask the user to delete the package locally. Moreover please educate him about the CTS mechanism in SAP, i don't think ABAPers are here to hack the SAP system
