Request Tracker

Hello All,
I have configured RT on my machine it was working fine at the begining later on when the size of the DB is growing there seems to be a performance problem ie the login page for checking the tickets is very slow its taking time
can any one help me out to improve the performance of the machine
waiting for a early help

Have you checked the overall database performance by running a STATSPACK or AWR report?
Also please provide some more details on your configuration such as OS/platform, database version, etc. so that we can help you out better.

  • OIM 10g: Requests Track Doesn't show any requests status

    Hello,
    OIM 10g BP15:
    I've created a group "oim-admin-group" ("admuser" is the member of this group).
    I've assigned quite a few "Menu Items" access required for "oim-admin-group" group including:
    * Track Requests menu item
    Also, assigned "permissions" on all objects to this group.
    However, when "admuser" logs in and perform a search on Requests > Track > Search:
    he don't see any results but the message:
    "Your search did not return any results. Try again. "
    I added "oim-admin-group" with "read" permissions to
    * Organization > Xellerate User > Administrative Group >
    * Organization > ABC (User's org) > Administrative Group >
    Also, in (with "read" permissions)
    * Resource > "Request" > Resource Administrators
    * Resource > "Xellerate users" > Resource Administrators
    * Resource > "Xellerate Organizations" > Resource Administrators
    However, "admuser" still not able to track requests and sees same response.
    Any suggestions ?

    Looks like the "Administrative queues" implementation could have been planned around design time. Then the requests could be assigned and managed by different roles(groups) member with different access levels in OIM.
    However, in my current setup - all workflows follows this rule 1) Route the request for manager approval 2) After successful manager approval, route it for application group approval (2nd step of approval). Implementation of "Administrative queues" in this setup looks difficult to me.
    Any comment?

  • Assign Menu Item of Request Track to a group

    Hi ,
    I am assigning a group the menu item named "Request Track" . And assigning a User to this menu item. When I login with this User I am not able to see all the request that are visible when i login as xelsysadm. How can this be done ??? ... I want the USER to see all the request that are visible to xelsysadm.

  • Bug / Feature request tracker for ROME.

    here i hava one requirement regarding transport request .
    How to know request target when we released it .
    I.e when we released the request , it should be transport either testing , quality or
    production . or both .
    where should sap maintaining these details .
    is there any data base table ? .please help me .
    In the table E070 it is maintainig some details .
    The table contains only one target details .
    if a particular request is transported to more than one server ,
    still the table contains only about one server .
    where can i get the remaning details .

    in the table E070 it is not showing the requests
    are transported to both servers .
    but in SE09 transaction it showing as
    the particular request is successfully transported to
    both systems .

    Hi Srinivas,
    Am not a 100% sure however how I think it works is
    When you view the transport details in Development server in E070, the  E070-TARSYSTEM  for the request will point to QA server.
    Then when the request is transported to QA, the same transport entry in E070 would be updated with  E070-TARSYSTEM  as Production server.
    Can you check this and confirm.

  • Mod_perl/Installing RT Request Tracker

    Hi,
    I'm trying to install RT Tracker on Mac OS X 10.5 following these instructions:

    I don't want to build apache, I just want to install mod_perl running side by side w/ mod_php, is there any way to do that with out having to rebuild apache2?
    If I do have to build apache2 where can I find the correct instructions for Mac OS X 10.5 with mod_perl and mod_php? --prefix=Darwin?
    I would like to replace the existing installs if I have to rebuild, not too sure how to uninstall.

    We are attempting to install RT as well. Have you had any success? We are in the final stages, but cannot get the web server to run RT's mod_perl handler. Maybe between the two of us we can figure this out.

  • Ignore certain requests for Request Tracking

    Is it possible to ignore request data for requests matching a certain pattern? For example, we don't want any SignalR requests to get logged to App Insights because it is skewing the server request/response time metrics in our application.

    I'm not aware of the way to cancel the certain kind of the requests from being sent. Let's see if someone else knows the way to do it (e.g. somehow cancel request from custom telemetry initializer if it matches the certain pattern...)
    There is a way for you to filter out the view, however, to exclude the request you do not want to look at. Metric Explorer allows to configure the metrics you'd like to see and apply several filters (in the menu on top) and groupings (in the menu when you
    click a chart) followed by moving this to the favorites/pinning on the start blade.
    So, if there is property to filter out SignalR in Metric Explorer, that would be a workaround. If no such property exists, you can create one via custom
    telemetry initializer to distinguish between SignaR and other requests.

    Dear Gurus,
    When I copy PRD to DEV this process is overwriting the transport request history.
    Is there any way I can prevent this from being overwritten?

    Hi Rachel,
    Is not a good practice to copy production into development. By doing that you won't only overwrite TMS but also version management.

    what a beast of garguntuan proportions! I attempted to make a package, but since I cant even get all the perl modules installed  :oops: I'll give up.
    Ubuntu has a package. Its a very good system (even NASA use it apparently). Unfortunately my ubuntu VM freaks out when I move it to another host, even though my arch VM does not 

    yeah, I've nearly got it installed now. it comes with a script to automate the cpan module install (theres about 50 dependant modules!!) but it seems to get confused.

    When doing a demo of the Total Care portal, two questions were asked that I need details on.
    1. When the customer begins working with Total Care will the prior SR's opened by the customer on a device be shown, or only the ones created after the Total Care contract is active.
    2. How long will the information on the SR's be maintained for viewing in the portal?  As long as the device is active on the network or do they drop off after a prescribed period.

    Answer: Prior SRs created by the customer for a particular device will be shown as long as same customer who created the SRs is logged into the portal and contract for the that device is active.
    2. How long will the information on the SR's be maintained for viewing in the portal?  As long as the device is active on the network or do they drop off after a prescribed period.
    Answer : The information on SRs for a particular device will be maintained and can be viewed as long as contract for that device is active.The SR will continue to be shown even if the device is not on the network.

  • REQUEST: Track locations and characters

    Hi, first off, congratulations on Adobe Story again.  I just accidentally realized you use all of the same CTRL + Number shortcuts as Final Draft to switch between Action, Dialogue etc.  Nice!!!
    If it's not already in the planning, I would love it if Characters and Locations could be carried over between scripts within the same project... so the characters preserve the same colour coding, and the locations and names don't have to be re-entered into each script, for hose of us doing series work.
    Again, Thank-you.  I haven't had a single hang up or inconvenience yet... I wish I could say the same for Final Draft 8 LOL.  Everyone on the team... even some non TV types like educational consultants are using it and loving it.

    You should pass "UTF-8". That means your parameter value will first UTF-8 encoded and afterwards URL-encoded as described in the API doc of that method. With UTF-8 you will be able to handle all kind of languages by using Unicode.
    When retrieving the parameter using getParameter(), the method will only URL-decode the parameter. That means you have to UTF-8-decode the value yourself to get the original. I would be not surprised if Sun will enhance the getParameter() in the near future also for automatic UTF-8 decoding.

    I have a group that should track all the requests.
    How should I configure that group? Which permissions should I give to it?
    I have given the Track request menu item as well as all the permission with the word Request, but it doesn't work.

    No need for custom menu item. You'll have to add that group in Administrative Queue. See the thread:

    Hi experts,
    is there any way we give permissions to ALL Users to track requests in OIM.
    Now only xelsysadm can see all requests means requests which are approved and completed.

  • Move Tracks Up/Down in Timeline?

    Currently I have 2 Audio Tracks(A5a & A5b) that I would like to move up a few Tracks(A2a & A2b). Granted this is only for visuals sake but it helps me to keep my edits organized and in line if I continue to build my Timeline the way I'm accustomed to seeing it. In other NLE's I can just Click the Track and Drag it to the position I'd like to see it in. For some reason, I am unable to do that in FCP.
    Naturally, I'm wanting to keep all other tracks intact. How do I select Tracks A5a & A5b so I can move them up to become Tracks A2a & A2b?
    I imagine the answer will also work for Video Tracks which will also be VERY useful knowledge as I start to build & experiment with compositing in FCP as I do in other NLE's.

    Yes, Track A5a & A5b would normally be Tracks 5 & 6. I go into User Preferences-Timeline Options-Audio Track Labels - & choose 'Paired'. This names your Tracks in Stereo Pairs(A1a-A1b). <-- helps me to visualize they are actually L&R of the same Track/Media.

    Your info was exactly what I was looking for. Looks like in FCP I have to Add Audio Tracks to facilitate the Media I'd like to shuffle.
    Add tracks-Shuffle media to get it where I'd like-Delete unused tracks.

    That's what I had been using was the 'T' tool. I was sitting editing a project with a friend and when he tried to move the Tracks as we normally would have... FCP wouldn't let us. I showed him the 'T' tool but then wanted to find a way to do it that was more similar to what we are used to. (Moving the entire Track) Not exactly the same... but gets the job done.

    - Instead of having to add FX directly to the Media... having the option to add the FX to the entire TRACK. This would especially be useful when doing VoiceOver work. I end up with @10sections of Vocals on the same track. Instead of having to add FX to each individual Media Clip... it would be nice to just add it to the TRACK.
    - Instead of having to Add Tracks & Shuffle your Media then Delete Unused Tracks... it would be nice to be able to Select an Entire Track and Place it higher/lower in your timeline hierarchy.
    (These are features of another NLE that I find VERY Useful)

  • Outbound E-Mail when creating a Service Request

    Hi.
    I am trying to set up a scenario where an outbound notification email is sent out when a Service Request is created. I have created the email FORM in WEB UI but was wondering how to trigger the email sending process (I am looking for the best practice).
    A possible option could be to create an action that is triggered when the Service Request is saved but does the standard action work with a "email form" created from WEB UI (as far as I know it works with SMARTFORM) or do i have to code the whole logic myself:
    -Get the template.
    -Convert it to html.
    -Populate data.
    -Build email body and so on and finally send email and attach it to the Service Request.
    I wonder if there is standard functionality for this.
    Any help is highly appreciated.

    If you are on CRM 7.0 sending e-mail when service request is saved is a standard functionality. Use Rule policy with Intent Driven Interaction context.
    1.  Create New policy and add your Business Role at the header.
    2. Add IC Events 'OrderSaved' at the header.
    3. Create Rule as follows:
                                   Condition  -    If Current Event Equals Order was saved
                                   Action      -    Send Out-Going E-Mail Using Mail Form  
                                                         E-Mail Subject 'xxxxx'
                                                         Sender's E-Mail Adress 'email id'
                                                         Mail Form 'ZMailform'
    Note:1. Make sure that your mail form has the attribute service request tracking text is inserted.You can see the service request tracking text attribute when you create the mail form in the Attribute Context 'ERMS
            2. Make sure that your service manager profile has the your IDI policy assigned.
            3. Your CRM 7.0 is on SP04 or above.
