[Request] UEFI Bios for Radeon HD7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC
Hello folks, new member here. I'd like to open by thanking this community for the great level of education and support provided here. I have always been an EVGA guy, and I have been quite impressed with my MSI experience so far and this forum just validates that experience...It's going to be a tough choice where my dollars go moving forward and that's saying a lot about how good MSI has been!!
Onward and upward, I need a UEFI/SECUREBOOT/GOP/VBIOS for my card.
S/N: 602-V273-050B1301146609
Also, once I receive this bios, can someone please clarify the proper procedure for flashing it to the card, I have searched and I have seen a few different methods referenced, I just wanted to know what the officially accepted way of doing it is. I assume it's good practice to backup the current vbios that is on the card just in case as well and if there is a procedure for that as well.
Finally being new to all this UEFI stuff, after flashing the card, if I decide to pull it and place it in a non UEFI system, will I have to flash back to the old BIOS or will it be backwards compatible with non-uefi systems?
I'm new to the whole UEFI environment and am still figuring this all out, thanks for the patience and help.
Nateyou can use this one: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=181106.msg1301663#msg1301663
instructions are included there

[REQUEST] UEFI Bios for GTX 770
Can you please send me the latest bios that will allow me to boot MSI GTX 770 Twin Frozr 2GB o/c with UEFI in Win 8.1 64bit using SSD.
I have looked at the MSI website and the bios files for my card are not available for download. Apparently only via MSI Live update?
My PC will not boot into Win 8.1 64 bit so this option is useless for me.
Even when I state in bios to use CPU graphics it halts saying windows 8 graphics card not detected and requests that I disable Win 8.1 support? Thus leaving me having to physically remove card to boot.
This must be a bios error surely? I thought the point of being able to choose graphics output methods is so you don't have to remove card?
My PC is:
Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 7 Motherboard Bios MS-7916 version 1.90
Video Card: MSI GTX 770 O/C 2GB Twin Frozr Gaming Serial : 602-V282-20SB1307057588
To be honest the reason I bought an MSI motherboard AND an MSI video card was so I did not have these type of issues?????
Thank you.Quote from: jasonlangley007 on 14-April-15, 20:01:10
Well I thought this was run by MSI so calm down there fella!
It is actually you who should calm down

First question:
80.06.58.00.54 (2H1) is newer than 80.06.58.00.55 (2H2) ? :O
Second question:
Why I can't update bios by MSI Live Update?
Third question:
How can I install this bios?
I always made it like that
Quote
1.Download the attached rar file and extract it on your USB flash disk ;
2.Open a command prompt in Windows (shortcut key: windows+R) go to the folder(cd filename);
3.Type: nvflash.exe NV287MS.2H2.rom -A -6
4.Press enter;
5.When it prompts you reboot,please type:reboot and press enter to reboot your systerm.
What is the diffrence beetwen this method and You method - I mean Quote
