Can MSI Radeon 7850 twin frozr III be used on MCP73M01H1 (Napa) ?
Hi guys,
I just bought new graphic card (msi radeon hd 7850 twin frozr 2gb) and seasonic 650W power supply today.
And when I put them together with other hardwares and turn on the power, the monitor doesn't not detect any signal (dvi).
so I switched the dvi cable to the on-board graphic card then the monitor can display but the device manager only detects ob board graphic card.
then I put back gt 130 and it works perfectly as before.
then I tried putting 7850 back then same issue (monitor doesn't detect anything)
I can see the fans are running on 7850. My friend tested it with his computer and it's working fine...
Help pls?
My current specs are :
Monitor: HP 2309m (1920x1080)
Motherboard: MCP73M01H1 (Napa)
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 2.66 GHz
Memory: 4 GB PC2-6400
Graphic card: msi radeon 7850 twin frozr III oc 2gb (previous one: GT 130 768MB)
PSU: seasonic 650W (previous one: 350W)Yea. I've posted on their forum as well. But I was hoping the graphic card manufacturer will have info about the list of motherboards that support Radeon 7850 ??

Information about the Radeon HD 7950 Twin Frozr III
Hi, I want to change my R5770 to a Radeon HD 7950. I came across a lot of review and found the Twin Frozr III model from MSI really interesting. But, it seems that I can't buy it as no store as them.
Does anyone know when they'll be available (in US / Canada)? I'm looking forward to buy one as the cooler seems to be a great quality one.
Thank for your time!My advice is wait till you see them at newegg. Nobody here can tell you when they will be available as nobody here has that kind of information. We don' have anything at all to do with MSI marketing.

[REQUEST] GOP/UEFI Bios for N680GTX Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC
Hi Guys,
can somebody point me to an UEFI Bios please ? I cant enter Bios setup on my Windows 8.1 UEFI machine.
And why cant Liveupdate recognize my card and let me flash the Bios ?Quote
Its not provided on the photo, because its not provided on the card.
there is no such options, every VGA has such sticker for S/N for ID
seems your sticker is left on and lost somehow
Quote
Lets guess i can download the current ROM in dos with NVflash or with disabling the driver. Is the Information which vbios you in the file ?
no its different information but also can help to give you correct file
Quote
Will this show the information about S/N you need : nvflash /v >rep.txt ?
no its different information but also can help to give you correct file
Quote
Or can we stop here because we cant match the correct vbios without the sticker ?
current vbios can also helps to give you the right vbios -

MSI HD 7950 Twin Frozr III New Vbios Request
Hello,
I have some problems with my system, which no one seems to know how to fix, and one of the things I haven't tried yet is a new vbios.
I've never done nothing of the sort previously, so can you leave me a brief explanation of what to do?
I also don't know what GOP / UEFI means...
GPU Model: MSI R7950 TF 3GD5/OC BE
Serial Number: 602-V276-18SB1211086192
Current BIOS Version (according to GPU-Z): 015.024.000.001.001496 (113-C3864000-X00)
Edit: Current vbios dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/de7hg0u2eg4sbvi/Tahiti.romNever again bump a thread please: >>Please read and comply with the Forum Rules.<<
A GOP/UEFI vbios allows UEFI Fastboot with Win8. You are currently using an up to date legacy vbios (without GOP support). You can try the GOP version but I doubt that it will help with your problem. Most likely card is or psu is faulty like Svet already told you. Also OC/voltage abilities depend on the individual sample. No magic vbios can make your card perform like you read in some reviews if it proves to be not such lucky draw.
Use the attached.
Create a bootable usb stick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0).
Then unpack the previously provided archive (1a0.rar) and put the included file (TV276MH.1A0) on that stick.
Rename TV276MH.1A0 to 1A0.rom. Put the atiflash.exe also included in the archive on the USB stick too. Now boot from the stick.
Type atiflash -p -f -noaper 0 1A0.rom [ENTER] and let it flash the vbios. -
REQUEST GOP / UEFI BIOS for MSI Twin Frozr GTX760 Gaming
Hi, have been having a weird problem with my PC where GPU seems to crash to a black screen upon exiting a game or ONLY AFTER GPU load. (i.e. Alt-Tab during game, 5-15 seconds after a stress test) Read in a few places that a BIOS update or flash might help.
S/N: 602-V284-46SB1306013920
edit - current bios: -http://www.filedropper.com/gk104_1-
Could you please also include detailed instructions on how to best do this.
Thanks. Here is latest vbios for your card, attached below
for flash guide:
Quote
Use the attached.
Decompress the provided .rar archive with Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Then flash the included file with Nvflash for dos: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/nvflash_download.html
To do so rename the included file to .rom and create a dos bootstick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0)
Put nvflash and the vbios file on it and boot from the stick. Then type nvflash -4 -5 -6 gop.rom (if renamed vbios that way) and hit enter. Confirm the questions and let the tool flash -
I am having weird issues with my card and hoping a the latest BIOS will fix it. My card is refusing to run at stock clock speeds. When I run a game it is choppy. Upon logging it with Afterburner the clock speed will ramp to 960 then the screen will flash black and it will clock down to 300 mhz. I have tried the latest Catalyst drivers both beta and non-beta and it still refuses to play.
S/N 602-V277-17SB1305094806Thanks for the quick reply. It didn't seem to fix the problem so I am going to RMA it.
