I've never flashed before, so i'd really appreciate some detailed instructions!

Is my current VBIOS version compatible with UEFI GOP or do i need to update?

the version above is for windows.
you have to run an "cmd" with admin permission,
then to navigate to folder who contain extracted flasher and vbios inside and to type:
nvflash -4 -5 -6 201.rom [ENTER]
