Help request - GTX 750 (N750-1GD5/OC) BIOS needed

Hello.
A few days ago I've installed and run Live Update 6. After checking for updates, it announced that a new BIOS for my graphics card was available:
Unfortunately, that's when everything went astray.
I've downloaded the archive and installed the new BIOS. The result was a not-so-nice black screen, since the Device ID was wrong (1380 instead of 1381, which is 750 Ti's Device ID). Unfortunately, the update script (batch) doesn't save a copy of the current BIOS, so one can restore it if necessary:
Luckily, my card is not completely bricked. Since a BIOS for my card was nowhere to be found, I've tried a Palit BIOS (for their GTX 750 StormX, which has the same Device ID). The card started working, but the fan's noise was unbearable. I've tried two more BIOSes (ASUS and MSI Gaming), but the fan was still way too loud.
I've managed to tame it eventually using a Gigabyte BIOS (for their GTX 750 2GB), but it just doesn't feel right.
Since MSI support (via Online Customer Service) was close to non-existent (they've recommended to RMA the card, and it's been five days now since I've posted a second comment that still remains "Processed", but unanswered), I've decided to ask the community for help.
So, if you have an identical graphics card (not v1, 2GB, Gaming or Twin Frozr), please save a copy of your card's BIOS and PM me so I can give you an email address where you can send it.
Saving the BIOS can be done easily via GPU-Z:

MSI GTX 750 ti Gaming vBios

I was reading a review for this card on techpowerup and it shows the card comes with dual vbios, one uefi (GOP?) and one legacy. Is this unique to the new Maxwell cards? I see people here requesting vbios updates for other kepler based 700 series and below. Will upgrading the vbios no longer be necessary for this card (assuming Win8 features the main reason for GOP vbios requests) ?

PS: I am in the process of building a new rig from scratch. Because of the apparent great support here in the forums, I am developing a MSI brand loyalty for motherboards and graphics cards. I have only seen similar support from EVGA (but they are limited Nvidia) and MSI. Also TwinFrozr gets a lot of praise. Lastly, the card mentioned above has been reviewed as the best of the crop for the 750 ti chip. I have been a ATI/AMD Radeon guy for a long long time due to their price/performance combined with power/heat/performance , but this maxwell card looks very interesting.

Here is the model made by EVGA. Look in the tab titled "Details" for the full specs. It says that the card is 9" in length. I suggest making a template the size of the card to see if it will fit into the space with good airflow. When gaming or doing video intensive tasks a lot of heat is developed. It is a PCI Express 3.0 x16 and the slot in the motherboard is PCI Express 2.0 x16. The 3.0 is backward compatible. If it will fit properly into the space, it should work without any problems.

MSI GTX 750 TI OC 2GB Compatibility

Hello. Today i decided to update my GPU to a GTX 750 TI OC 2 GB from MSI. I checked it's requirements. I fulfill them, except the MB. My MB is a BIOSTAR G31-M7 TE with a G31 chipset (compatible only with PCIe X16 1.1). Is there any chance to run this GPU with my MB or i need to upgrade it? Here are the rest of my PC specs:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93 @ 2.92 GHz;
GPU(current): Intel G33/G31 256 MB;
PSU: custom, from my PC vendor (maybe Logitech) ATX-450W
MB: Biostar G31-M7 TE (BIOS update from 2010);
RAM: 4 GB DDR2 800 MHz;
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate Edition SP1.

Stock cooler is fine if not overclocking, dual core CPU is also good enough (could upgrade to Intel Pentium K for OC if would like to). That's the parts set I suggest.
And add some GTX650Ti or 750Ti. And new PSU: Corsair/Seasonic/Antec 400W or above and good to go.

Hi I was reading this thread https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=184043.0 and the problems with compatibility this guy is having are the same problems I am worried I will have as I had them previously with my Asus nvidia gtx 750 Ti which I have sent back. My motherboard is the same as his and apparently doesn't have UEFI capabilities as dell didn't start using UEFI motherboards until 2012 which was after I got my pc. Without UEFI on my motherboard would this card even work? Also my bios is only version 7.12 does that matter or can you provide a bios to fix that and make the card work? Sorry if I'm being a pain or asking the same things again in just a bit concerned ill buy the card and it won't work. Also someone on another thread said that if you have tried a different gtx750TI and it didn't work they doubt any of the gtx 750 TI's would work is that the case? Sorry again for the silly questions just want to make sure.

MSI GTX 750 Ti 2gb overclocking help

I just installed a MSI GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2 gb into my computer. The card comes with 3 different modes: Silent mode, Gaming mode (default), and OC mode. I believe the OC mode overclocks the card. My question is.. Can i for long periods of the day almost everyday use the OC mode, or will it destroy my card? Thanks in advance

You can use OC mode for sure. Though before you use for 24/7, enable OC mode, run some benchmarking/test stress tool and see how are the temps to make sure that they stay below 80C on 100% card usage with around 50-80% fan speed.

GOP /UEFI bios request for GTX N770 TF 2GD5/OC

Symptoms: System will not POST after ASUS Z9PE-D8 WD mobo update to latest BIOS. Worked fine previous. System will POST and run fine with other graphics cards.
The card will POST and run fine in ASUS MAXIMUS V GENE mobo with not current bios. With which I have pulled GPU-Z info as required for a BIOS request.

I guess you mean ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS and not WD. That is a dual cpu socket XEON workstation board not meant for gaming (hardware). The NV282MS.352 vbios the vga uses is a current one. Contact Asus and report the compatibility issue and maybe they can help you with.
My use of my system is video editing. It uses gpu heavily for encoding. Hence, the hot GFX card I just purchased. I have been in contact several times with Asus, since they also produce an N770 card, and they do not have any known compatibility issues with their own products, at least. The card worked perfectly with this N770 card when it had the previous BIOS. It was when I upped the BIOS to the latest version that I had the issue. Other GFX cards do work. The N770 wont finish POST. 100% fail. I ended up purchaseing a new BIOS chip with the previous bios flashed, since they could not produce a procedure for me to downgrade. However, I will not be able to use new CPUs with the later micro-codes until I find a way to update the BIOS. Otherwise, I would be FD&H with the old one.

The reason people are having problems with the "GTX 750 Ti" model is because it requires UEFI Firmware in the motherboard. HP didn't begin using full UEFI Firmware until mid-October, 2012. Your computer was introduced in December, 2011.
Depending on the maunufacturer of the video card, they may have a VBIOS update to make your card work with your computer. I know the EVGA, for example, has updates for specific cards. You have to contact their Tech Support for help. Also, you may have to upgrade the power supply unit (PSU) in the computer, if you haven't already done so. It is 300W.

3D in CS6 extended is not showing up on my computer with a geforce gtx 750 ti on windows 7 home premium

Like I said the 3d menu is not showing up on photoshop cs6 extended edition my specs are the following:

Update your graphics driver or use an older version that does not use CUDA 6.0 and uses 5.0 so PS can detect it properly...

Is the GeForce GTX 960 worth the extra cost over the GTX 750 Ti?

Today I acquired an eVGA GeForce 960 FTW card with 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM to test against my main PC's existing GeForce GTX 750 Ti (also with 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM).
But first, here's my impetus:
Despite the fact that the GTX 750 Ti was newer than my now-sold GTX 660, I felt that the GTX 750 Ti was a sizable downgrade from the GTX 660 in some ways, and equal to the GTX 660 in others. In particular, the results of the GTX 750 Ti during the encoding test from the PPBM8 MPEG-2 DVD timeline was nearly 30 percent slower than the GTX 660 (50 seconds versus 36 seconds) - but in the encoding test from the H.264 Blu-ray timeline, the two cards were practically equal in performance (at about 135 seconds).
And today, when I shopped for an eVGA GTX 960, I found four different models: The Superclocked edition (slightly overclocked but with the reference NVidia blower-type cooler), the ACX 2.0 (upgraded cooler but only reference GPU and memory clocks), the SSC edition (overclocked to 1279 MHz on the GPU, with the ACX 2.0 cooler) and the FTW edition (ACX 2.0 cooler, overclocked to 1304 MHz). All the listed clock speeds are the non-Turbo clocks.
Back to my purchase:
At my local chain big-box store, the FTW edition sells for $220 - but another big-box store wants $230 for the SSC edition.
I brought home the FTW edition, and installed it into my i7-4790K main rig. The CPU is set to its default Turbo clocks while the system's DDR3-1600 RAM is set to run at its XMP profile.
Here are the MPEG-2 DVD and H.264 Blu-ray scores with both cards:
MPEG-2 DVD (MPE On)
MSI GTX 750 Ti OC Edition: 50 seconds
eVGA GTX 960 FTW Edition: 44 seconds
H.264 Blu-ray (MPE On)
MSI GTX 750 Ti OC Edition: 135 seconds
eVGA GTX 960 FTW Edition: 114 seconds
As one can see, the GTX 960 is 13.6 to 18.4 percent faster than the GTX 750 Ti. However, while my GTX 750 Ti cost $155 (and still costs that much at the big box store I went to earlier in the day - the one that sells the GTX 960 SSC for $230), is the FTW edition of the GTX 960 worth the extra $65? Well, that depends on which GTX 750 Ti and which GTX 960 that you might be considering for a PC based on a mainstream quad-core Intel platform.
So, based on the particular results that I posted in this post, do you think that the GTX 960 is worth the extra bucks over the GTX 750 Ti? I would love to hear/see your opinion(s).

While I certainly value the PPBM6 benchmark to compare various hardware and configuration settings, the GPU performance that is most important to me is simply playing back timelines smoothly with playback set for full resolution (vs. 1/2, 1/4, etc.) and scrubbing with the upmost in responsiveness. It may be difficult to measure playback smoothness, but you can use the dropped frame counter to compare various hardware.
If playback is smooth and I can scrub my timelines effortlessly, then how fast it takes to render a finished project out just really doesn't matter that much.
Even though you are mostly working with 1080 resolution media now, it may not hurt to try some more difficult media as well (aka RED 4k, PPBM H.264 timeline, etc.)
