Requesting New BIOS for N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II

Hello, forgive me if i'm a bit slow, but this stuff is all a bit new to me. I've read that a lot of crash issues with this card (the ones i seem to be having) are video BIOS related?
So I figured I'd give this a try.
Card Serial Number: 602 - V238 - 370B1203014155
GPUZ info:
My current BIOS i have a mediafire link, but it wont allow me to post it, if you have another way for me to do so I'll get right on it.
EDIT: nvm i found it here when i tried to upload it from GPUZ: http: //www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/120003/msi-gtx560ti-1024-120222.html
Thank you in advance for any assistance

how do you know that's your vbios?
opposite. in very rare cases the vbios can help with such.
is this a new card? or used one? if yes does it worked before?
what are your computer specifications? list full PC specifications , see >>Posting Guide<<
I only mention that i thought it was a vbios thing because i read a thread that had multiple people having problems with the same card (although it really does seem to have problems with the nvidia drivers). I have tried all number of different freshly installed driver versions, but to no avail.
I know its my vbios because when i tried to upload it to the GPUZ database it said it already existed and gave me that exact name.
the card was new when i got it about a year ago, these problems have been occuring since then (mostly with the driver updates) and I've permitted it up till now, I'm sick of my pc rebooting and getting no video output.
System specs:
Board: Gigabyte Z77-D3H
Bios:1.0
VGA: N560GTX Ti Twin Frozr II 1024
PSU: (this info will come later when i have time to check)

no the new vbios is not related to the temp.

you can try to reseat the VGA heatsink and to reapply the new thermal paste,
to check if this will help to drop it a bit.

  • [Request] UEFI Bios for Radeon HD7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC

Hello folks, new member here. I'd like to open by thanking this community for the great level of education and support provided here. I have always been an EVGA guy, and I have been quite impressed with my MSI experience so far and this forum just validates that experience...It's going to be a tough choice where my dollars go moving forward and that's saying a lot about how good MSI has been!!
Onward and upward, I need a UEFI/SECUREBOOT/GOP/VBIOS for my card.
    S/N: 602-V273-050B1301146609
Also, once I receive this bios, can someone please clarify the proper procedure for flashing it to the card, I have searched and I have seen a few different methods referenced, I just wanted to know what the officially accepted way of doing it is.  I assume it's good practice to backup the current vbios that is on the card just in case as well and if there is a procedure for that as well.
Finally being new to all this UEFI stuff, after flashing the card, if I decide to pull it and place it in a non UEFI system, will I have to flash back to the old BIOS or will it be backwards compatible with non-uefi systems?
I'm new to the whole UEFI environment and am still figuring this all out, thanks for the patience and help.

  • Driver for N560GTX-448 Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC -l- split

I bought the card about four weeks ago and just now I had the opportunity to test it.
When I installed the video card in my PC, the device manager appears only a standard VGA video card. When I installed the driver, Device Manager showed a yellow exclamation on Nvidia's GeForce GTX 560 Ti saying "Windows has stopped this device becouse encounter some problems (error 43). I tried running some games but I could not open them, and with some drivers the screen was filled with artifacts
I tried various drivers on my two PCs, from one that comes with the video card to the 295.73 driver, and each time the same warning on device manager. Can anyone help solve this or may I do a RMA to MSI?

You sure your PSU has enough amps on the 12V rail and you connected the PCIE power connectors properly ?
Have you checked your Motherboard's BIOS revisions for updates regarding the later video cards ?
Your PCIE Bus interface should be 2.0 X 16. Have you reseated the card properly and disabled the on board graphics in your BIOS ?
My PSU is a SevenTeam 750ZAF with 750W. I used it to do SLI of my 9800GTX+ in the other computer and never had problems with it. I doubt that this could be my problem.
The GA-EP43-DS3L already has the ultimate BIOS and I did the update on the GA-A75M-D2H BIOS. Nothing new, the problem persist.
Anyone of my boards does not support PCI-Express 2.0 but this is not a requisites for  work of the video board like said the MSI page:
    http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N560GTX-448-Twin-Frozr-III-Power-Edition-OC.html#?div=Feature
"PCI Express 2.0 doubles the bandwidth of previous generations of PCI express up to an astonishing 16Gb/s. This maximizes the performance of current graphics cards in today's most demanding games and applications. PCI Express 2.0 products are fully compatible with mainboards with other versions of PCI Express."

     Card #1
    sn: 602-v255-01sb1101008767
    dafault: 823/1645/2138 1.000v

    sn: 602-v255-01sb1101008737
    dafault: 823/1645/2138 1.013v
target (use it now with ab) 822/1645/2138 1.025v or 1.038v
The reason I put 1.025v or 1.038 is because both those volts are stable on both cards individually and in sli so I'm not sure which is better to use.
Also , I have a problem with heat on the #1 card while they are in sli (no problems what so ever with heat while by themselves) but in sli the #1 card gets up to 97c so I'm hoping it's just because the cards sit right next to each other on my Gigabyte ex58-UD3R which I will be getting another MB that I can do sli with a gap in between or could the heat be from something else like my evga sli bridge ?
I also have problems with the screen becoming all fuzzy and red from Stalker COP and it also happened when playing Metro 2033 but that went away after I reinstalled the nvid 266.58 drivers.
I haven't been able to test Stalker cop again in sli because the heat is scaring me.(the red fuzzy thing has never happened while in single mode)
Could this also be the sli bridge I'm using ?

Got my 1155 set up going now msi p67a gd65 b3 and the two 580oc twin frozrs and it's running nice and cool (70c load 38 idle) and thats the highest card.
I'm using the msi sli bridge that cam with the gd65 b3 and the temps are great and 3dMark 11 adv ran like butter and so did the Heaven 2 benchmark, Lost Planet 2 and GTA4 gay tony both ran fine all the way through with no problems but lower fps than with only one card.
Stalker COP bench mark is still turning my screen green though ? had the same problem before with Metro 2033 but haven't tried it on the new board.
Running both cards at 1.000v 800 1600 2048 via AB and everything else is at default for now.
Just ran Dirt2 bench in ultra got 61fps but when I quit and it went to the desk top it was all static looking but not green this time and I opened up the display panel and changed my res which made the static go away than I just put it back to 1920x1080 and all is good but I have to figure out how to stop the static krap, I thought it might just be dx11 but Lost Planet 2 dx11 bench had no problem ? ... the search continues.
Temp finally went up to 81c with Dirt2 on ultra , but it played just fine the couple of races I did in normal single player mode but when going back to the desktop it's always static looking which seems to change colors. ?

If you want to ask if you can use TV273MH.150 then no you need TV273MH.111. Neither the gpu-z readout nor screenshot would be helpful without the S/N by the way as those do NOT readout the actual bios version.

  • Request new BIOS for MSI R9 270 GAMING 2GB

Hi there, I use W7SP1 with a Gigabyte GA-H87-HD3 mobo and the 13.12 drivers(14.4 suffer from very high OpenCL to Direct3D interop lag unfortunately, which is a showstopper with madVR) and I just bought this board with the exact same BIOS version number as on this link: techpowerup (.com)/vgabios/149707/msi-r9270-2048-131106.html
It's fairly silent under load and I'm happy with that, but when idle the fans seem hardlocked to 1040 rpm
Whatever fan percentage higher than 18% does increase the fan rpm speed, but anything lower still gives 1040 rpm.......what is the point to cool the GPU down to 28°C when its TJmax is 95°C? I would like to drop the fans speed when idle to maybe 700/800rpm and get the GPU to reach 40°C or so?
I run a SSD with a 350rpm oversized CPU fan, a passive PSU and several oversized case fans that also run very slowly, those 1040rpm are killing me....I used to own a VTX3D Vchamp HD7850 that allowed me to make my own custom fan speed curve in Afterburner: dead-silent when idle and slowly ramped up under load, perfect
Of course its cooler was a joke compared to your TF4 but you can see that Asus are now releasing graphic cards that are semi-passive with their fans shutting off until the GPU reaches 65°C, it makes no sense to me to use the TF4 at 1040 rpm when idle(and even more so on the 70W TDP GTX750Ti).
Long story short, I would really appreciate an unlocked BIOS please so I could build my own fan speed curve in Afterburner as I used to. I do plan on buying the future Maxwell's(a twice faster 750Ti would be awesome), I dearly hope that you will reevaluate your TF4 fan speed curves because otherwise I would more than likely buy a semi-passive Asus next time. Talk about wasted potential
I guess you hardlocked it so dumb ppl wouldn't set the fans to a fixed very low speed and toast the board, but posting an unlocked BIOS on your forum that's aimed at power users is just showing that you care. I know EVGA did post this kind of BIOS updates recently and you polished the TF4 cooler to such extents that it's truly a crying shame to be stuck at 1040 rpm and 28°C when idle
There is no question that TF4 is extremely effective under load with a 150W TDP GPU, but you can see that the 270X Powercolor board is quieter when idle in this comparison: tomshardware (.com)/reviews/radeon-r9-270-benchmark-review,3769-5.html
Hope you can help, I will gladly spread the word on HTPC forums because this board is close to perfection when using madVR.
Thank you very much in advance

OK thanks for the reply, but the 18% cap seems BIOS based...I have a hard time believing that they can't run any lower than 1040 rpm
Are you a mod? Working for MSI? This looks like a wild guess more than an official reply if you don't mind me saying.
For the record, that VTX3D board I mentioned in my previous PM was able to go down to 1%.
I would fix it myself but there are no BIOS editors for the R9 serie apparently....MSI simply capped the lowest PWM value: tpucdn dot com/rbe/RBE_Fan.png
Whatever way their speed's being throttled(PWM or voltage), they must be able to go slower than that. I could provide you links but EVGA did make clear that they capped the lowest speed of the fans on some of their boards so dumb users wouldn't fry them but they were entirely able to release unlocked BIOS binaries.
At this point I could either return it or unplug its fans and slap a 600rpm 140mm fan onto the board using zip ties.......it's just amazing that MSI managed to ultimately fail on such a detail. All the work put into the TF4 cooler goes down the drain
flobelix seems able to help, I hope he'll chime in: forum-en.msi dot com/index.php?topic=180521
