Require a Firefox 4.x download link

I am a front end design technologist at the Wall Street Journal. Today I absentmindedly upgraded from Firefox 4.x to 5.0 without taking the usual steps of preserving my old profile and application file so I can test on multiple versions of Firefox. I see that you offer FF version 3.6.18... it would be nice (for web developers like myself) if you also offered the last version of FF 4 so that we can be sure that users of our products are getting the best experience on your product(s). Can you provide a downlink for Firefox 4.x for web developers? Thanks much.

Thanks for the heads up on the fixpack. I tried looking at the note # you sent, but a search of SAP Notes says that the note has not been released. However, reviewing the Fixed Issues in fixpack 6 shows the following item:

Link to a WebIntelligence report using syntax OpenDocument fails when target document contains a prompt
based on a BEx variable of type Interval. Error message is "An internal error occurred while calling
'answerPromptEx' API. (Error: ERR_WIS_30270)".
Behavior is now correct and refresh operation takes into account interval answer passed in OpenDocument URL.
Now we just need to upgrade to fp 2.6 to see if it resolves this issue. I've also opened a ticket with support, so I'll see what they say.

Download Links To Older Versions Of Firefox

Hi there,
I work for a company called 4Projects in which we have an online application. I work as a test analyst and would like to know if you could provide me with download links to older versions of firefox.
The versions which we require are Version 4 & 5 as some of our users have those versions installed. We require these so we can test fixes which we put in place in a test server before releasing to the live servers.

Everything you want for current Firefox 3.6 is on the FTP server here:

There's two big files for all MD5 and SHA1 sums of everything. Solaris is under the contrib dir.
The current version of Firefox 3.x is 3.6.23. Firefox 3.5 is no longer supported and Firefox 3.6 is considered a direct update (aka minor update) to Firefox 3.5; when Firefox 3.5 users check for updates they go directly to 3.6 for security and stability fixes.
If you really need an old version for testing purposes, you can get any version of Firefox that ever existed off of the FTP server:
* ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/

Trying to download firefox on new computer there is not a download link on the firefox browser page

I have a new Dell computer using explorer to access firefox browser page to download firefox ... there is NOT a link to download firefox.

When I click on download link, Firefox don't pop-up window where i could select open with or to save file, it just pop-up window where to save, why?

Before update, when i clicked on download link pop-up window would come up asking me if i wnat to open file with program or just save it, but after update i dont get that pop-up window, insted i get window asking me where to save it, how can i fix this problem, because i want sertain files to be opened with a program like it was before update? I have tried every solution i could find, and nothing helped. I use Firefox 16.0.2 on win7 ultimate x64bit

Thank you, it helped alot. I found that my problem was that all programs in applications panel was set to "save file" option and when i changed them to "always ask" it was back to normal, like i used to :D many thanks

When I try to click on a download link for a .pdf file Firefox does not recognize the MIME type and tries to download the file as "index.php"

When visiting a site I frequent I tried to download a linked .pdf file. Previously I've used Firefox 7.0.1 to download the link with no problem. Using Firefox 8 however I the browser does not recognize the .pdf link's mime type. Instead of recognizing the download link as a .pdf file Firefox 8 tries to download it as "index.php". Firefox 8 does this with .doc files and .txt files as well. When I downgrade to 7.0.1 again the problem disappears.

I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.

Download link for Android version of Firefox Mobile Beta seems to be dead

Didn't know where else to to write this: The download link on http://firefox.com/m/beta seems to be dead. I have tried both the /da and the /en-US version.
I'm on Android 2.1-update1 on a Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro . All other downloads and apps work fine, so I think this might be a simple 404 (Btw.: I tried a couple of days ago as well with the same result).)
Let me know if I can help troubleshoot it further.

Visited download links don't change color (but do in FireFox)

I have a mass amount of files to download listed on a Web page. When I click the link, the file downloads, but the link on my downloads page never changes colors to note that the link has been visited.
Is this a bug and is there a work around for my HTML page? Currently I'm using javascript to change link colors.

Thanks for the input. I tried that, and it didn't work. It appears to work for everything else - just not download links.

Something is blocking the download. Prabably because this is an exe file. There is a Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition installated, but I cannot find where the restriction is defined.
I am not that familiar with whether there is a some Windows configuration effecting this restriction
Also I am using Verizon FIOS, I do not suppose this is a source of the problem.

as far as i know you don't need the migration assistant when goind from 9i to 11g. its just a recompile.

Which means, that the installer will be available at Adobe Volume Licensing website, provided you own them within your account. They wouldn't be available at Adobe website or cfinstal mailbox.

Download links, like it says. Thre are no partial updates for Java.

Safari and Firefox will not download anything.

Whenever I click on a link to download anything, Safari crashes. Funnily enough, the only thing I have managed to download is Firefox. In Firefox, there is the same problem, but Firefox doesn't crash when I try to download, it just does nothing. I tried the Disk First Aid thing that was mentioned in other topics, and resetting safari. I don't think it's the download links that are wrong, because I've tried 5 or so downloads and they all crash safari. Could someone test and see if this downloads:

Exactly which files did you delete? Some programs, such as, but not limited to, Speed Download, require that you use their provided uninstaller. Dragging the app to the trash will only lead to problems. Some plugins, such as PithHelmet, only work with specific browsers (Safari & Shiira for PithHelmet) so they would not affect behavior in other programs.
Have you tried using a new user account? If not, do so to see if your problem is account or system related. To create a new account, open System Preferences and click on Accounts. You may have to click on the padlock and give your admin name and password to create an account. Click on the plus sign in the lower right corner to create the new account. I see no reason to give it a password. You can delete this account later using using the minus key, although I have kept my second account to use for testing (the user folder only takes up 32 kb).
