Require MAC (Media Access Control) address for my ...

Hi
I recently bought the Nokia C6.
I want to connect to my WiFi network in my office.
My network administrator require the MAC (Media Access Control) address of my set to give me access to the network.
How can I find this address for my set?
Solved!
Go to Solution.

On home screen:
Open the number keypad (button in the middle in bottom row) and then dial *#62209526# (equals *#MAC0WLAN#) => Device will show your WLAN MAC address.

  • Display MAC (media access control) address of connected access point.

    Hi all! Sorry if this is already posted somewhere but I tried searching and was having difficulty because of the word MAC having multiple meanings here.
    Anyways I want to be able to view the MAC (media access control) address of the access point I am connected to. Is this possible? I can't find it in System Preferences. Is there a terminal command that would allow me to see it? Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks!

    I'm looking at it right now. In the top portion, next to the active graph, it has the SSID of my access point. In the table beneath that, my access point is the first on the list, and the MAC address is clearly visible.
    Second if I click on my access point in the list, the MAC address appears, temporarily at the bottom of the window.
    For comparison, in the iStumbler preferences, on the AirPort tab, I have only "Auto-Select Best Network" & "Keep on Top" selected.

  • MAC (Media Access Control)Addreess, Network Card address.

    Hi ,
    Could you please tell me
    how to read computer's MAC Address using Java programme.
    its urgent !
    Thanks
    ramesh

    You can get the mac address by running ipconfig in a
    DOS prompt and parsing out the data.
    //First run ipconfig
    Process conf =
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("c:/windows/ipconfig.exe
    /all");
    // then parse out the response
    DataInputStream ds = new
    DataInputStream(conf.getInputStream());
    while ((String lineItem = ds.readLine()) != null) {
    // look for index of "Physical Address" and you have
    e it
    There is a lot more information returned here as well
    you might find usefull.This solution seems platform specific. Do you have a solution that is more portable?

  • Cisco Secure Access Control Server for Windows 3.0

    I have to rebuild a server using Cisco Secure Access Control Server for Windows 3.0 ... I cannot locate this software under "download software" in cisco.com ..
    where can I download a copy for Cisco Secure Access Control Server for Windows 3.0 ?

    Hi,
    You can not download the ACS windows Solution engines softwares from the cisco.com > download pages as these s/w are not available there. You can only download patches and remote agent software.
    In order to get any ACS software/ upgrade assistance you need to open up a TAC case.
    Also, ACS 3.0 is not supported by Cisco anymore..getting support for this version or any 3.x is not possible.

  • WRT 120 Internet Access Control Problem for itouch

    I've just set up my router. Cannot seem to control access to the internet for my son's itouch. The router recognizes it on the map as a wireless device part of the network, but it will not show up in the menu that allows for internet access control. My lap top shows up, but no itouch. I'm running Windows XP home premium edition - not sure if this makes a difference.

    Open the linksys setup page...Under the Wireless tab,Change the Channel Width to 20MHz only,Channel to 11 and click on save settings...Under the Advanced Wireless Settings,Change the Beacon Interval to 75,Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304,Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 and Click on Save Settings...
    On the I-Touch..Go to Settings>>>General>>>Reset>>>Now select Reset Network Settings.This will now reboot and restore you network connections.

  • I need to find a mac media set or files for cs3 production premium

    My school bought a site license for production premium cs3 and we think a student stole the mac media set. I contacted customer support and they said that they couldn't help us because the version is to old, they instructed me to ask on this forum. Does anyone have a Mac media set of cs3 production premium they could burn and send me or can someone ftp me the files.

    If Adobe Customer Support cannot help you, then there is little that we users can do. It would be illegal to copy any of our Adobe programs to disc and send them out.
    You might want to look at ProDesign Tools, and see if they have perhaps a download version of PrPro CS3 in their links (think they are all the "trial versions," and those would not help before CS 5, IIRC, as it can be upgraded from trial to full-paid with the insertion of the S/N).
    If you only talked to Technical Support, I would contact Customer Support, which is more geared to sales aspects, than T/S.
    Good luck,

  • ADF Authorization for ADF Mobile:Configuring Access Control URL for ADF App

    Can someone explain, how to expose weblogic user roles as a Rest Json Api? Basically I want to set up Access Control URL to authorize users on adf mobile.

    Hi Frank,
    This is what I did. Could you please let me know if I am doing it right.
    1. Created an adf application with a simple page and applied security basic http authentication.
    2. Added a rest service implementation in the same application, changed the adf application web.xml as below
    <servlet-mapping>
       <servlet-name>jersey</servlet-name>
       <url-pattern>/jersey/*</url-pattern>
      </servlet-mapping>
    3. When I test the rest service in browser, it asks to log in and returns the user roles. Below is my rest implementation
    @POST
    @Produces(MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON)
    public User getMessag3() throws Exception {
    return new User();}
    the rest service returns the logged in user roles in below json format.
    {"userid":"susant","roles":["SSBAccessGroup","authenticated-role","SSBAccessApp","anonymous-role"],"priviledges":[]}
    Do I need to implement anything on the ADF mobile side or I can just add the rest service url to the authorization tab. Will adf mobile automatically handle sending the http request.
    Actually I just added the rest service url to adfm-applications connections authorization tab and I am getting ACS failed error after log in.
    Thanks

  • How do I find the Mac address for my 8900?

    I have a wireless network and can't connect to it at all. I have looked and typed in Blackberries search engine and came up with nothing, only answers are about a MAC computer, not what I am looking for.
    I have to add the Mac address to the wireless network in order to get past the firewall and this is not working for me, any ideas.

  • Access control for a noob

    SurveillanceWizard wrote: ...Cat5 or any cat cable is only good for the main controller most of local "door" controllers use RS232 or something similar back to one or two main controllers. so you may have just wasted cat cable although I would use that cable for cameras since its there....and if you use a lanyard be careful where you punch the hole though the card.Yeah it's RS-485, depending on the distance you can run it over a CAT5 cabling but shielded RS-485 purpose made cable will provide better performance and reliability. Unless you plan to integrate ID cards with the access cards, I'd use the key fob style, they already have a hole in them and are much more durable and you can still put them on a lanyard if you want to.

    I have been tasked with building a ground up access control system for a new 63,000 sq ft building my company is moving to. I have no experience in this field whatsoever. I have been given the following requirements by the company owner:1.) The card readers will need to be proximity based, that is he would like the door to unlock when a user with an access card passes within a few feet of the card reader.2.) 13 access points will need to be controlled by card reader with an additional being controlled by a button behind a desk that a receptionist can press to grant entry. 3.) The system needs to log data for times/dates of individual employees entering/exiting each access point. At the moment I have a CAT5e cable run to each door that will need card reader access. I assume the first step is to determine the system that can handle those...

    I am trying to send email in APEX but all the emails are in APEX mail queue with error status,

    I already configured smtp server in manage instance. Please suggest me why the error is happening.

    Probably you need to add the SMTP server address to the ACL list. There are numerous resources showing how to do that. Google on "how to create acl in oracle" and you will get many links showing up. This one is explaining a how to quite good:
