Hi,,
Copy your descriptions of ur Posted Info Objects to a file and hence import that to the Info object list in RSDIOBJ table,
Hence forth u vll get the field name as well as the Info Object Name
FRGDT- 0FRE_RELDT
BADAT0- 0DF_REQ_DAT
LFDAT-0SHIP_DATE
CPUDT-0CREATEDON
AUGDT-0CLEAR_DATE

Authorization with standard info objects

Hi Guys,
I want a small clarification.
Is it true that Authorization cannot be done for the Standard Infobject, we need to create reference objecs to the standard objects, and the master data of the standard object would be passed to the reference object
When i went to the standard object, this option is actually available for them too.

Making Authorization relevant to the Standard Info-objects are not recommendable.
Make these standard info-objects as references and create info-objects with Z or Y.
you could see the bussiness explorer tab in the info object properties. There is one option called Authorization relevant.
you should enable the authorization relevant tab. Once it done then it will reflect while creating authorization object.
Hope this would help you in understanding.

Go to RSA1 and Go to Business Content Tab->In Object Type->Infoobject and Search there and transfer that and install.

Replacing Info Object In Infocube

Hi,
     I am working in development for Purchasing and I am using standard Info objects, transfer rules, Update Rules, and Infocube.Data already contains in Infocube and queries are executing.
      Now we want to add 0GN_VENDOR TO 0VENDOR in update rules so that Vendor values will global.
      I tried to map in update rules but I cant find 0GN_VENDOR in UR, I already included 0GN_VENDOR in the infocube under 0VENDOR dimension.
       Please some tell me wht I am trying to do is right or wrong, if so please give me the idea to solve this issue. Let me know if you need some more help.

                                  Thanks for quick reply, Here our requirement is like we want to keep the attributes of 0GN_VENDOR and 0VENDOR values globally. For example in the reporting we can use attributes of 0GN_VENDOR as well.
                                    Here I want two vendors attributes values in the reporting. One vendor I can directly map to 0VENDOR and other to use UPDATE ROUTINE and START ROUTINE which just brings Vendor values using select statement so that I can use attributes of both Vendors.
                                      If I remove 0VENDOR value than I wont get the data of vendor so .
                                 Please let me know if you any more information.

Issue in info object creation

Hi All,
While creating info object under info object catalog (for characteristics only but i can able to create for key figure with out any issue)i am getting below error
InfoObject 0LANGU does not exist in version A
Message no. R7245
Pls update me how to solve this issue.

I think you are getting the issue with Language conversion.
In case you are creating info object for characteristics , always use the SAP standard info object as reference. This will help to avoid this issue. Is it possible to share which reference SAP standard Info object which you are using. ??

I am unable to get 9AMATNR, 9ALOCNO etc
Any solution how to activate these standard info objects? I already ran SE38 & executed /sapapo/ts_d_objects_copy.
But after running this program, system is giving "Message D0054" Writing error
Any solution to activate standard MPOS ie 9ASNPBAS & also 9AMATRN, 9ALOCNO etc??

Install info object from D version to A version

HI,
I am trying to install the infl objects from D version to A version. I have selected Grouping mode(Only necessary obects0 B default, Collection mode (Collect automatically) Didsplay (Hierarchy mode) and dragged the in fo objects from left side to right side into collected obects and selected install mode (Install and transport) , i gave the trsport also and installed, but ater install if i see in RSD1 still it is in D version only, not in active version only.
Do i need to any other steps required to install info object from D version to A version. Please suggest me if i mssing some thing.

if you want to install only the info objects, follow the steps
click the source system icon on the top
click on objects type under bi content
select collection mode automatically
select only necessary objects, under grouping
expand your info object and select your info object and transfer
check the box , in front of info object
install in in back ground.
by default display is hierarchy.
check the job in sm37, when the status is finished only you can check the info object,
if still it is D version then goto rsd1 , give the info object name and make it active.

Error : Not all info objects trasferred successfully

First of all why you want move 0calmonth from one catalog to another one.
0calmonth is standard info object and it might be installed along with standard catalog.
What is the problem your facing if 0calmonth under old catalog.

What are the standards to write info objects

i appended one structure in BSEG table in r/3 for data source 0FI_GL_4 and through that structure i added some z fields to it . now in bw i have to create info objects for those fields .i created data source in which all fiels are populating correctly only i have to create new info objects for new fileds .i am very new to BI please tell me what standards to follow to create info objects. and also tell me which field fell under char field catalog and which field under key field catalog

for your second doubt, the all fields you have mentioned here is Char and DAT data types. So all will be in Character field catelog.
Since mostly keyfigures will have the following data types only.
Amount, Number, Date, Quantity, Integer, Time.
You can use DAT fields as keyfigures but you have to decide that.

Goods receipt number and purchase invoice nubember info objects

i have the requirement to build the report with the info objects of goods receipt number(document) , purchase invoice numbers and purchase document numbers from standard cubes or ods.i have checked in inventory management and purchasing cubes&ods i am not success got the purchase document number it is from ods (0PUR_O02) the InfoObject is 0OI_EBELN(purchasing document number),like this i want InfoObject for Goods receipt number and purchase invoices from where can i get these fields.

An InfoCube describes (from an analysis point of view) a self-contained dataset, for example, for a business-orientated area. You analyze this dataset in a BEx query.
An InfoCube is a set of relational tables arranged according to the star schema: A large fact table in the middle surrounded by several dimension tables.
Use
InfoCubes are filled with data from one or more InfoSources or other InfoProviders. They are available as InfoProviders for analysis and reporting purposes.
Structure
The data is stored physically in an InfoCube. It consists of a number of InfoObjects that are filled with data from staging. It has the structure of a star schema.
The real-time characteristic can be assigned to an InfoCube. Real-time InfoCubes are used differently to standard InfoCubes.

Master Data load from Info Object

Hello,
Iam tryting to load masterdata from info object using the standard package in 7.5 NW. My requirement is similar to the scenario 3b in the How to load masterdata doc(to prefix and strip the Compounding obj). This is the ssue i am currently facing.
1. When i validate the transformation file , I get an error saying "Duplicate member id'12345'
2. I have spaces in my node name. How am i supposed to give the technical name in the Member id field of the hiererchy tab in the data manager set selection options.
3. text nodes not getting converted to member values.
note: I am able to get past this with out giving the seletion for the hierarchy in the DM package and running the package succesfully ,but i dont see the text nodes getting converted to member values.
Please provide me some useful insights. had anyone had a similar issue??

Did you checked YES to import the Text Nodes ... and even the Short Text in Language Tab under the SET SELCTION of the info object.

To switch on the Navigational attribute feature in the info object

Hi there,
I have a sceanario where I created an info-object to extract the KNKK table information.
I am using the datasource 0fi_ar_9 to do flexible update to this info-object.
The issue is that: I am adding the required infoobects as attributes to this infoobject.
I want to switch on these attributes as navigational attributes.
But to some of them I am getting the option to switch it on as Nav and not all. Like 0C_CTR_AREA has got the icon Navigational attr on/off. Also 0CRED_GROUP has got this icon across it.
But objects like
0LST_INT_RV -Last Internal Review
0LST_REVIEW -Last Review (external)
0REPR_GROUP -Credit management representatives group
0NXT_REVIEW-Next Review
do not have the Navigational attribute on/off icon across them. So I am unable to change them to Nav.
Any advise why is the behaviour different for different objects ?

Do we transport 0LOGSYS (Source System) Info Object?

We are transporting the info objects first time to the quality. when we selected the necessarry objects for the required info objects in transport Organization it also picked 0LOGSYS info object.
My question is do we transport 0LOGSYS info Object?
And also it has created a Task number which is a type of repair (Yello color if you see in the main screen of SE09).
why it has created a repair task?
Can anybody please explain this?

Yes, you can transport 0LOGSYS InfoObject.
If the current system is not the original system of the object, the object will be assigned to a task of the type repair.
Repair in Change & Transport System
The modifications of SAP standard objects.
Repository objects that are changed in a system other than their original system are entered in repairs. Objects can be transferred from their original system by transports.

TCT* Info objects and Authorization objects

When defining an authorisation object do I need to include TCT* info objects as fields in the authorisation object and if so why and which ones are required - if this is different for different scenario could someone elaborate? Thanks

yes... you need to include the TCT fields as you would like to restrict the users based on the infoproviders and the time duration.
Since in any organozation you have many type of users like the super users who can access anything...end users who have access to areas related to them only and may be some other kind as well.
Suppose if a user is beloging to FICO department and he is only suppose to use the reports based on GL cubes then you will create an authorization object where you will give the values for authorization relavent objects like company codes,sales org and additionally you will maintain the value for the cube in 0TCAIPROV field.
when you assign the user to this object he will only see the data in the queries based on the FICO cube and that too for the company codes specified in the authorization object.
Now if there is another user who can see the data for all the company codes and all the areas but only for certain duration then you will create a new authorization object where you will not give any values for any object but will keep it as * but will maintain 0TCAVALID objects and give the validity period here.
