I bought this pdf from SABS South Africa, the file contains the electrical unit standards and I cant walk around with my laptop all the time. The PDF has a username and password field on page 6, which connects directly to SABS website to be able to unlock from page 6 to 397. Why cant i type into the username and password fields on my mobile??

Is the PDF document "protectedPDF" by Vitrium?
Currently, Acrobat DC mobile products (for iOS and Android) do not support PDF documents with DRM (Digital Rights Management) by third-parties.
I am not aware of any other free mobile apps that support "protectedPDF" documents.
I'd recommend using the desktop version of Reader on a Windows or Mac computer to view the PDF documents. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Command to temporarily change login window to require username and password

Is there a command to temporarily change the login in window from the little bubble where you select your user to having you type in both the username and password? If not, is there a way to switch user accounts, like in fast user switching, through terminal?

I picked up the incident you set up with this question, and responded there, but just saw that you had asked the question here as well (which is a good idea).
This is the feedback I provided in the incident, so I'm not sure if you want to get feedback from someone else, but the answer is:
In order to change the ID's and Passwords for those service accounts you will have to uninstall and reinstall BPC with the new accounts. There is really no way to make that kind of change maunually in our system as there are too many backend pieces that use those accounts.
Also, you'll need to make sure before reinstalling that the new accounts have the correct permissions per the installation document.

CFCHART asks for username and password

I have a page with cfchart on it that is throwing up a server "Authentication required" username and password box. Taking out the cfchart tag stops it from happening and the rest of the page loads fine. It is an ajax get request to the page, but navigating directly to it in the browser has exactly the same results.
Any suggestions on how to stop this? I'm using ColdFusion MX7.

Permissions is permissions. You could try Owain's suggestion, which will certainly work. Or, you could take a look at the URL generated by CFCHART, and make sure that this URL can be requested anonymously. It points to a nonexistent directory by default, so you could probably create the directory and make it anonymously readable.

Run Crystal Report from URL includes username and password

I've downloaded CR 2008, and CR Server 2008 demo's.
I'm trying to use a feature I've used with CR10 enterprise, and XI report server, where I can run a report direct from the URL.
Something like:

I've noticed that there were subtle syntax differences between CR10 Enterprise and XI report server in the past, and expect that similar differences exist with CR server 2008.
Could someone show me the syntax for CR Server 2008 to run a report from a URL, and pass the required username and password, without having to go through the infoview logon screen

Thanks for the reply. I admit I did see that thread when I was looking for a solution.
My hesitance is that for a non programmer it looks very difficult, and a lot of settings.
I liked the URL reporting because of its simplicity - one line.
I know that it advertises the username and password, but for our requirement (intranet reporting, LAN separated from IT), its not a big risk.
My further investigations indicate that for CRS 2008 something like the following should work:
http://192.168.207.156/CrystalReports/view.aspx?id=1102&apsuser=administrator&apspassword=admin1&apsauthtype=secEnterprise&init=java
However I get
404 - File or Directory not found.
I'm running on Windows7 with IIS7, so I think it must be an IIS configuration issue

To export metadata "BRIDGE" from OWB to OLAP required username and password, these are the sys, system? or for OLAP_DBA Role? so my usrer OLAPSYS are looked? what I have to make to export data? now still doen't export just ask to make shure that I make a correct thing.

thanks for answer.server is running. Analyzer and spreadsheet add_in can connectted to the server correctly.I installed the EAS not as as a Windows service,and i cann't even login to the EAS console,and check the EAS log i remember there is some wrong with connect the Mysql services.yesterday i installed the EAS as as a Windows service,and have connect to the server correctly mannually.I don't know why I can't install the EAS not as as a Windows service now.

OSS Username and Password

it is required username and password while using OSS on Service.sap.com. I save my username and password after first login, but while advancing it again requires username and password:( Is there anyone knowing the reason of this? and what is the solution? thanks in advance...

Just one extra thing not mentioned in here - bear in mind that SAP.COM runs on multiple servers and you have to have your ID saved for each server if you do not use the passport method as the other replies recommend (I agree - best method!) .
However eventually if you continue to enter in your userid and password each time and save each time, all the servers will recognise you and it will prefill them for you!!
BUT use the passport method - much easier...

Dial to a modem with username and password using serial modem

Hi, currently i am doing an application which use external modem to communicate with another modem. I am facing a problem that how to communicate with the modem which require username and password. The step i had tested was created a dial-up connection in first modem. The dial-up connection require me to insert the username, password and phone number. So i inserted all the parameters and can be connected with the second modem. The second modem was set an incoming call which is waiting an call with the correct username and password then only establish the connection. So how i started to do this application in labview ? i have search all the web but very less information about this. Can anyone help me ? I have attached the Incoming call setting photo.Thank you

I cant get my iphone 4 tolog in to my company wifi. i updated to ios 6 and now it just goes to my companies login screen. i enter my username and password and it just sticks. however it will logon to wifi without a requirement for a user name and password

I have to log onto my companies wifi by first going thru a log on page that equires a username and password. before i updated to ios 6. it worked fine now it just goes to the login page and when i hit enter it doesnt do anything just stays stuck on that page. however the phone will log onto a regular wifi router that doesnt require any kind of username or password. any ideas on how to fix it. i have tried everything including reseting all network settings.

2. Use "Forget This Network"

How do I connect to an SMTP server that requires a username and password?

I am currently working on a project for university which requires me to send and receive email. I was until this week able to send mail no problem, but now the SMTP server has been upgraded so that each time a mail is sent it requires the username and password.
Ideally the connection should be made using TLS/SSL, and not use the Authenticator method. I want to pass the username and password directly if possible.
I've been trying to use the following but have been getting handshake, and other exceptions:

Was there some example you saw that suggested that instantiating
an SMTPSSLTransport was the correct approach? I hope not.
See the smtpsend.java demo program for how to use SMTP
authentication. If you need to use SSL, see the SSLNOTES.txt
file for hints on using the "smtps" protocol. smtpsend.java also
illustrates use of SSL, but you'll need to fix a bug in it to use the

I'm trying to access a forum that requires a user name and password. When I do it on my mac it tells me the password is incorrect but when I do it on my iPad, I can access it without any problem. I can confirm the username and password are the same

I am trying to access a forum for which you need a username and password but it keeps telling me the username/password i've entered are incorrect. Bizarrely, when I enter the same username/password combination on my iPad, it grants access without any problem.
What could be causing this, is it an issue with cookies, caches or similar. How can I resolve it? The forum administrator is at a loss as to what the problem is.

Try the following steps in Safari to see if they help:
1) First try clearing the Safari cache. To do this pull down the Safari menu and select 'Empty cache...', then try logging into the site again.
2) If the issue continues then reset Safari by pulling down the Safari menu and select'Reset Safari...'. You will be presented with a list of items that can be reset. I suggest selecting the 'Reset saved names and passwords', and 'Remove all website data' options at a minimum.
Here is a list of the options and what they do. I pulled it from the Safari help page.

Reset Top Sites:
Clears any changes you made to Top Sites, such as adding or pinning sites. If you also clear your history, your Top Sites page reverts to showing the webpage previews displayed when you first installed Safari.

Close all Safari windows:
If you don’t close all Safari windows, someone could use the Back and Forward buttons to view the webpages you visited.
Reset all location warnings:
Clears any information websites saved about your location.
Remove all website data:
Removes cookies, tracking information, and other data that websites stored on your computer.
