Required capacity calculation in cProjects automatically

Hi
For a project, in the structure tab tasks have been created and role/responsible person has been allocated with duration.
In the resoruces->staffing tab, the requried capacity is still shown as zero.Also in resoruce->tasks tab, tasks assigned to project role is not getting popualted automatically even though these details are alsready in the structure.
Should we have to redo the task/capacity assignment manually again or does cProjects do automatically from structure? Any help?

Hi,
The capacity requirements & scheduling is done as per the formula given in the capacity & scheduling tab page in the work center (cr02).
In work center the standar value is maintained , this contains the parameters (eg: setup, machine time etc.) to be used in the formulas.
You can define the parameters using t.code op17,
Standard value key using op19 & Formula using op21.
Then when you create a routing, when you enter the corresponding work center in the opetation details, the system will ask for setup,machine time etc.
Here you can enter 10 min as setup time & no. pcs which can be machined/processed in one minute.
Then when you create a production order & if it forward scheduling, then the system will start scheduling from 6.00 am say the start of the shift.
6.00 to 6.10 am setup will take place & then from 6.10 machining will start. Then end time is determined by the Order quantity.

I need a FM that export the requirement capacity of a Work center.
Report CM01 has the same functionallity, however, by debugging it I coudn't find any useful function, morever, I have found a thread in the forum with the same issue but it wasn't helpful.
an example for my needs is as followed:
Function: CAPACITY_REQUIREMENT_FOR_WORK_CENTER
IMPORT:
                        1. Work Center = MG1602
                        2. Plant = 1000
                        3.date from = 01.04.2011
                        4. date to     = 01.05.2011
EXPORT:
                        1. Capacity Requirment (Total) = 240 [Hours]
                        2. Capacity Requirment (period) = 22 [hours]

Interest calculated not posting automatically in to respective gl accounts

I have made all the required configuration for Interest calculation on G/L .while running through f.52 it is used to calculate interest correctly but it failes to post to the respective ledgers I have also made required configuration for automatic posting in OBV2.Kindly guide me to solve this problem

Hi,
Please check the t.code OBV2 where we actually assign the GL accounts against which we want the interest to be posted. Also check the GL account in FS00, if the interest indicator created is mentioned or not.

CM01 / capacity planning / generate graphic automatically ?

Hello experts,
we have implemented the capacity planning for our production.
The processes are working fine.
But I've got the following requirement to solve:
Is it possible to generate the graphical views from CM01 every day automatically in background jobs and send them to printers or email-accounts (nice to have)?

Set factory calender and user requirement date calculation

Hi Gurus,
I've requirement to do calculation for start user requirement & end user requirement. The calculation must exclude public holiday and weekend. Therefore factory calender need to be maintained.
Please guide me into doing this.

Based on your business requirement , you should have the following set up :
1.One Factory Calender with Work Days Monday-to-Friday Let say FC1 .This will be used on all the organisational level starting from Materials Planning to Sales .But will not be assinge to Capacity Requirement Planning Purpose or Any Production Activity in Work Centre .
2.You should have one more Factory Calander with work Days Monday to Monday ( 7 days week ) with some special rule like Plan Shutdown Days , Breakdown Maintainnece etc and this should be assinged to all the work centres -CR02-Capacity Tab -Capacity Header -Factory Calader ID -Let say it is FC2.
You need to ceate Calander in OP03/SCAL .It does nto have any transport and it will be a Cleinet level changes which requires proper approval .Please rememeber , you need to assing only FC1 to Plant assingement in OP03 where as FC2 will be asisnged only in Work Centre level .
Steps : Goto -OP03
1.Identify all those Public Holidays frist with Fixed or moveable as per business requirement
2.Goto Holiday Calander -Hit the pencil -Hit Create option -Enter ID , Description , Valid To/From Year ( shd be 20 yrs differnce )
Add all those holidays as per Public holidays as applicable in your business with proper valididty and finally SAVE
3.Goto Factory Calander -Hit the pencil -Hit Create option -Enter ID , Description , Valid To/From Year ( shd be 20 yrs differnce )
Asisng Hioliday Calander . In case of FC2-Work centre Calander , here you can hit the Special Rules .Include Special Activity like Plan Shut down of factory with Validity etc and SAVE .
4.Come back to OP03 main screen -Assing the factory Calender in plant .
5.Goto -CR02-Capacity -Capacity Header -Available Capacity Header -Factory Calander-Assing FC2
I do not think you should have planning calander seperately if you do not have any specific reason .

Creation of cProjects automatically from creation of Portfolio Item in xRPM

If we check out the box for the automatic creation of cProject along with creation of Portfolio item then the cProject as well as an internal order is created in the system.
While I am creating an item and selecting for automatic creation, I am not able to get the internal order and not even the corresponding cProjects.

Capacity calculation in PM module

Dear all gurus,
Inspite maintaining settings in workcenter,shifts and controlkey , when i make order PM01 type and try to check capacity it is giving message
No reqmts/caps exists or not relevant to finite scheduling.
Along with this alarm what ever help message settings mentioned I have maintained still the message is coming and when I click OK it says
All capacities are available.
Inspite of that I could not find load on work center in CM01 T-code
Kindly help me.

What is the workcenter category you have used? Looks like here is the problem.. generally formulas for PM will have to be assigned in Other forumla as rightly pointed out by Thyagaraj.
Also you need to check the scheduling parameters for PM order, there also you need to activate check box for Generate Capacity Requirements for the order type/plant combination. I dont remember the transaction also will not be able to say as I dont have access to system now.

If confirmed delivery date is 22/07/2014 then Route A must be determined and if confirmed delivery date is 29/07/2014 then Route B must be selected

Actually I misunderstood requirement yesterday, here is the complete detail and hoping you are anybody can help.
When SO gets created system gives us confirmed schedule line and that schedule line date gets forwarded to our Third party carrier through EDI and he arranges transport based on that date.
Now the problem is, suppose Customer Requested Delivery date is 09/07/2014 and confirmed schedule line date is 14/07/2014 because transit time is 5 days.
This 14/07/2014 date will go to carrier and he will arrange transport accordingly but customer is expecting good on 09/07/2014.
Our requirement is:
1) at sales order level if customer expected Price can't be met, system should generate a warning.
2) at delivery level system should automatically determine available route which can help us meet customer requested date and if that date can't met system should put a block on delivery.
Remember we have three types of routes for same connection points from 15 days to 2 days and we want system to pick any one of them or block if not possible.

Event definition and capacity calculation

Hi,
Due to the implementation of a CSM, there are a couple of things that I need to clarify in order to be sure about the Server requirements.
1. What is the definition of an event in a security device? Is it a violation to rules? Is it a connection fail??
2. How could I posibbly know the storage capacity required to handle the events send by an ASA? Is there an especific size for this logs/packets???

The events from the ASA are simply the syslogs that are generated by the firewall. However, certain syslogs are "deeply parsed" by CSM to provide additional details. Here is a list of syslogs that are deeply parsed (the rest are displayed as raw syslog data):

As for the storage requirements, this will depend on the amount/level of logs that are generated by your ASA.

Capacity calculation

Hi Gurus,
Question related to process industry.
I have different resoures. I used 5 resources in one product Recipe.
The same resources will be used for other product manufacturing with different time length.
But two product will not be processed at time. Manufacturing will be one after one only.
The suitable demand for one month Product- A is 2000 Kg (It requires 20 Days) and Product B is 500 Kg requires 10 days.
Now question is,
I have given demand for -A is 3000 in MD61 and ran MRP. Planned orders and dependents created accordingly.
Now I given demand for -B as 500 Kg, and ran MRP,
Planned orders and dependents created accordingly.
According to monthly plan, available capacity is 2000 Kg- A and 500 Kg- B,
But we have given excess demand.No ware system restricted and warned regarding capacity.
Is there any solution for this?
can any body give me solution.

Please note that MRP is only plans material and schedules as per the routing or material data maintained. Once you run MRP, you need to goto capacity planning table and there it will show the excess load with red line.
Run MRP with folloiwng setting
Scheduling = 2-Lead time scheduling and capacity planning.
Then goto CM01, give the work center and execiute the report it will show overload.
In capacity planning table like MF50 or CM21/CM22, you need to dispath the requirement in such a way that there is no overload.
I hope you got some idea.

Require to change Person Type Automatically

Require to change Person Type in Employee form automatically by changing of Assignment status, currently HR is changing manually through Person Type Usage. I would like to know that is possible without customization and through personalization can it be done?

Doing this on a automatic basis might be difficult but you can schedule some concurrent program which will perform this action on a daily basis.
The program will first pick all the records for which the require change has happen in assignment on that day.
Then it will perform a bulk-update using API to change the user person type.

MTD Logic Required for Calculation

I have Month and year field in my DSO. Values Year(2009) and Month(4)
I want below logic to calculate -
MTD qty % = (qty * elapse days) / no of days in month
so from the above, I want to know,
1. How can we get the no of days from the above 2 objects (year and month).
2. Elapse days are the days that are over from current date to Ist day of that month.
eg: current date - 04.03.2009 , 1st day of the month - 04.01.2009,
elapse days = 2. (you need to consider all days in the month, not only working days)
so my questions is how can we get, # of days n a month from above 2 fields and elapse days based on the above condition.
Also let me know, where in I need to put in my calculations at transformation level or at query level
please provide your suggestions.

you can do this in both levels. But in this szenarion I would prefer a customer exit on query level. Otherwise you have to load data on daily basis.
There are several function modules to implement this logic. Take a look at e.g. FIMA_DAYS_AND_MONTHS_AND_YEARS. This FM expects 2 import dates. You can fill in 2 dates like 1st day of month & last day of month. You can use this FM two times. First for calcualting all days of the month, second with last day sy-datum.
I would use a calcualted key figure with formula variable of type customer exit. This variable will read the input date from an input ready date variable of type intervall based on 0CALMONTH.

Is there a calculation that will automatically turn a whole number into a percentage or decimal poin

For example I have a formula where I need to input the sales tax. Currently they only way it works is if I input it in decimal form. Is there a formula that will calculate that for me? So rather then inputting .06 I can just type 6%.

Actually you could add an additional item
Sales Tax Percentage (could be place anywhere on the Form)
then change tax formula to Tax = (Subtotal * (Sales Tax*0.01))

I'm sure someone else will come along and suggest a simplified method. I choose this method so that a number for the Sales Tax per could be entered per area. It could be renamed VAT for Europe. and if it uses 1/2 percentages change format for 1 decimal place.
OH Command+D (Mac) Is Properties for entire form. Not individual cells to do that In Form Fomatting click on Item with Control key pressed down. When Context menu pops up choose Properties. Then you can set properties for individual form fields.
I've updated the test form now all calculation work as they should. (had to rename some field names)

Error while calculating download files automatically

I have configured Maintenance Optimizer for Solution Manager 7.0 Ehp1. When i created a new Maintenance Transaction, it is displaying an error "System is not assigned to a host, There are no operating system/database-dependent files for your selection." after choosing the stack level.
Can anyone say what might be the problem?

as per the workarround this error got resolved after the proper maintaining Java technical system details for Java product instance and the port details.
hence please check and enter the dispatcher, port number, & database schema on the Header tab, and the J2EE-Server on the Instances tab,
