How to find out the info regarding Solaris, server hang or shutdown.

Hi
As I am handling the Solaris 9 Server remotely.
As in last week the server has stopped to respond suddenly, we have tried to ping, ssh which was not working. As ultimately we have asked the Data Centre Team to hard reboot the same, to resolve the issue.
In the same ref I would like to know how we come to know the reason, what caused to reboot the same, i.e . any log file, etc..
I have check /var/adm/messages, but not found any detail for the same.

To get such corefiles analyzed,
you would need to use your service contract and log a support case with Sun.
They have the special software tools to do that.

HT201974 What Key combo is used to see extended info regarding my airport signal?

Can someone tell me the key combinations used to allow me to see extended info regarding my airport signal when I click on airport icon in menubar? things like security key, transmit rate, etc.
I remmeber it being a combination of keys using command button and then left clicking on the aiport icon in the menubar.

Requirement in regards with MRP

Hi,
One of our clients has the following requirement -
MRP will be done based on MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) i.e. SAP will consider, while MRP, that if an item is repeated 20 times, with qty sum = 43 nos, and its MOQ is 10 nos, then PRN (Purchase Requisition Note) 50 nos will be released.
The client is using SAP 2007 SP01 PL09 and he is ready to upgrade the SAP version to the latest.
I believe that this can be possible, so please let me know, in which version of SAP, is this possible ?

I am new to this forum, belated new year wishes to you all.
Well I have a requirement to display data in a drill down tree format where data comes from backend (dynamic not static).
I searched the web and found some of the tags like from : http://www.jenkov.dk/prizetags/index.html#tree, this tag works fine on normal browser, but we need to run application in mobile device, where code of JDK1.1 will work. so this tag is not user ful for our application.
We got another tag lib from: http://www.servletsuite.com/servlets/treetag.htm, the tag works ine if the data is static but when we try to add childs dyanmically it gives some runtime errors.
We got another tag lib from Apache Beehive project but those tags are to run on JDK1.5.
Can some body help us with JSP tag lib which runs on JDK1.1 and tree nodes added dynamically.

well, the answer is unfortunally a NO in the first place.
MI is based on standard JSP and AWT functionality - up to Version 7.0 - and both runtime environments do not support that stuff on PDA.
If you run the APP on Lapop only, you could build something like that with Java Script in HTML or extend the functionality there with some Add ons externally available that can be filled by normal XML. But this is outside the usual MI scope, it depends on your creative level. WebDynpro on the other side supports you with a tree view as I remember, so this could be an option - but again, only on Laptop.
The question is: why do you not split the tree view to several pages? I have no idea about the amount of data you need to carry with you, just in the first place already. Usually tree view could mean a lot of data and this could end up in a long waiting time just to display the first page. Perhaps it is an option to show the actual level of the tree and if the user selects on item, then this item is added to the path (how has he got there) and the next level is displayed in the screen. Pretty much like the Windows Workplace, where every klick on a folder opens a new window with just the info of that window. Performance wise tis could perhaps be the better option.

Required info on tree structure.

Hi All,
Can any body help me in displaying data in a tree structure in PDA.
We have a requirement where the data comes with parent & child relationship, each child may or may not be a parent and the tree may drill more than 10 levels.
when user clicks on the node all the subsequent childs need to be displayed and on the second click the tree need to be collapsed to that node level.(this should be similar to some of the data in sap ex: functional locations)
IS there a component in MI / MAM application to acheive the same else what is the possible way for this.

Urgent help required: Query regarding LC Variables

Hi All
Sometime earlier I was working on a performance issue raised by a customer. It was shell script that was taking almost 8-9 hrs to complete. During my research I came across a fact that there were some variables which were not set, the LC variables were impacting the sort funnel operations because of which the script was taking a long time to execute.
I asked them to export the following commands, after which the program went on smoothly and finished in a couple of mins:
export LC_COLLATE=en_US.ISO8859-1
export LC_MESSAGES=C
export LC_MONETARY=en_US.ISO8859-1
export LC_MONETARY=en_US.ISO8859-1
export HZ=100
export LC_CTYPE=en_US.ISO8859-1
export LANG=en_US.UTF-8
Later I did recover that setting the LC_COLLATE to C, is not helping and the program was again taking a lot of time. Few questions that I want to ask are:
1. Can someone please tell me, what each of these variable mean and how these values make a difference.
2. When I exported LC_COLLATE=en_US.ISO8859-1, it worked fine, but when i tried with the defalut value LC_COLLATE=C, then why the program didnt work.
As this issue is still going on, hence I would request All to provide their valuable inputs and let me know as much as possible.

Hi All
A new development in this regard. The customer has send us a screen shot in which they were trying to export the locale variable using the commands which I have pasted above. I can see in the screen shot that while exporting LC_COLLATE and LC_TYPE, they get a message that ""ksh: export: couldn't set locale correctly"".
Request everyone to please give their inputs as it's a bit urgent.

LC_CTYPE
Controls the behavior of character handling functions.
LC_TIME
Specifies date and time formats, including month names, days of the week, and common full and abbreviated representations.
LC_MONETARY
Specifies monetary formats, including the currency symbol for the locale, thousands separator, sign position, the number of fractional digits, and so forth.
LC_NUMERIC
Specifies the decimal delimiter (or radix character), the thousands separator, and the grouping.
LC_COLLATE
Specifies a collation order and regular expression definition for the locale.
LC_MESSAGES
Specifies the language in which the localized messages are written, and affirmative and negative responses of the locale (yes and no strings and expressions).
You can use command
# locale -k LC_CTYPE
to see more detail about each type.

Help required URGENTLY regarding 9iASWE - logged in Username

I have installed Oracle 9iASWE. I have been able to create services and access it through ptg/rm.
One of my service needs to access the username through which the user has logged in. I have tried creating the bind variable :_User as a input parameter in my service. But i have not been able to get the user name . Can anybody tell me how do i exactly get the user name.
Please reply if more details are required to get the solution.

Thanks for the reply. But we are not using URL Adapter.
We are using a SQL Adapter and calling a stored procedure from it.
We are using the :_User variable to get the username, but cannot figure out a way to pass it from the SQL Adapter to the procedure.

today saturday the 20th feb I recived my Bt bill (TOTAL SHOCK )
both my husband & myself Tried desperatly to contact Bt customer services only to be put through to Indian call centers 7 times
sorry I am not a rascist but for one thing they sometimes have real difficulty in understanding us no matter how well they get trained
to deal with quearys from a english Number
any how to cut it short
my husband lost his temper and was rather heated after much gnashing of teeth he finaly gave up and canceled our direct debit due to be taken 23rd of this month hence the URGENCY of this mail
the reason
Last november I contacted Bt I spoke to a lovley lady in scotland called Rose and explained
that due to major finacial difficultys we had aproached the CAB (citizans advice center )to be put on a debt management program
they worked out how much we could afford to pay certain companys Including Bt
and even though our Bill was £76.50 Direct debit each month we with help increased it to £80.00 a month now
today without any prior Notice Bt want to Increase our Direct Debit to £135.00 per month starting from on or just after the 23 march
sorry but we just cant afford it
and we really dont understand why the bill has suddenly Increase so much by £55 ,00
we dont want special things on our bill
everytime we take somthing of BT seem to put somthing on eventualy got through to a person In england
who told me a caroline lawson a manager at the tyneside bt offices would call me back within the hour
this was at 12pm midday and no one has called its now14.31 so much for customer reations
but it needs sorting my phone number is .....I have removed this bit for this post
please can you either get someone from english call center to call asap or do I actualy have to resort to contacting Ian Livingstone via mail

Need info regarding BADI CRM_COND_COM_BADI.

Hello experts,
My requirement is to calculate the value of a specific condition type based on a custom attribute that is maintained in Item Master.
I added a new field in Condition Field catalog for this and implemented BADI CRM_COND_COM_BADI to pass the new attribute value to Pricing. This works fine till creation of Billing Due List.
The issue is that we are redeterming the automatic condition entries during Billing document creation. It seems that the BADI is not getting triggered beacuse of which the Condition entry is not present in Bill Doc anymore.
Any inputs in this regard will be appreciated.

The BADI CRM_COND_COM_BADI is used for filling the pricing communication structure.
If you have added any field at header level of the field catelog that will available in the changing parameter of the method HEADER_COMMUNICATION_STRUCTURE.
If you have added any field at item level of the field catelog that will available in the changing parameter of the method ITEM_COMMUNICATION_STRUCTURE.
Additional fields added at catelog can be filled with the values using this BADI.
