Required New Password Dialog Erro

Well, this seem simple enough.
I requested to change my main login password to APEX and received the new password just fine. I then logged into my workspace using the new password, whereupon the system required me to enter a new password, exactly like it's supposed to do!!
So, i enter the existing password along with my new password and get an error saying that the exisitn password in Invalid.
With as many issues as I am having with APEX it's a wonder anyone can learn it.

Have you copied and pasted the password? You may have copied a non-printable character from the end.
Also, have you checked the base tables (or logged in as ADMIN) to verify your account is not locked?

Well....I bit the bullet and called Apple tech support this morning and agreed to pay my $49 for the tech support. I ended up talking to a Boot Camp specialist. In the end his position was that "they didn't support Windows" and my particular problem was a "Windows problem". I countered with the fact that they advertise that one of their selling points was that Windows could run on an Intel Mac and that I ought to at least be able to install Windows. They said that most people were able to install Windows with no problems. I agreed, but told them that, after searching the Internet, I had read numerous posts from folks that had the same problem and that Apple really should address it. They were very polite and even agreed not to charge me the $49, but their final position was that it was a "Windows problem."
I guess that at this point I'll try to return the Windows disk to Amazon and see if they'll give me a replacement.

Require New Password

We purchased a new computer and had to re-install Adobe Reader. We requested a link to the Adobe Reader password change and upon receipt of your email, went there to change the password. Upon being notified that the password was changed, we went to put Adobe Reader on our computer, but came up with an error message: code: E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED......
with the line on the bottom of the error message stating Digital Editions encountered an error on the activation Server.
Can you help us install Adobe Reader on our new computer. P.S. Windows 8.1 any problem

The free Reader does not need a password.

I changed laptops and went from Vista to Windows 8. It requires icloud. I did icloud setup but it will not allow me access and wants to give me a new password. That is OK but it will not send me the promised password

This has been posted for almost 2 weeks and not one reply. Thanks a bunch! As a newbie to OOo and Mozilla, I am not impressed with responsiveness to support needs with either. So, the future of my new experiment with going non-Microsoft remains an open question.
Oddly enough, the problem mysteriously went away. I have followed the same routine and changed no settings. Suddenly all of the downloaded spreadsheets were no longer read-only. So I consider the matter resolved.

recently my iPod is requireing a new password to sign-on. It is not the 4 digit password of the past. I have tried everything and if you get it wrong it makes you wait 60 minutes before you can try again. any help?

Connect the iPod to the computer and restore via iTunes. If necessary, which I think is necessary in your case, place the iPod in Recovery Mode to allow the restore.

Another person had asked this question and you should see if you can select
to Always Allow the function you've had to add a password in order to perform
as a default action, so you won't have to enter it each time... See this discussion:

Hopefully this helps. You may also wish to use disk utility and choose First Aid
and run 'repair disk permissions' to see if that helps, if the above does not. And
there may also be a need for additional user maintenance should it not work.
{The easiest would be to see if a SafeBoot on startup helps, as it can check
and attempt to repair some system files; then restart normally. It won't hurt.}

1 hour with customer service just now wasted 1 hour for a cancer cure as this is a 1984 Era why do this to me.... now I have no mobil email as after a hour he your employee gave up...

If you have the Mac that you used to configure the AirPort Extreme originally, you may be able to retrieve the password from KeyChain Access.

Looks like adobe messed up. Unable to install the 'required" upgrade required because it won't let you view any videos until you upgrade. Doesn't recognize new password that I changed because it didn't recognize my old one!

I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.

I changed a password to a frequesntly used site. Firefox has not asked me if I want to save this new password and I have to keep changing the saved one to the correct one. How do I get it to save the new password?

I have websites I use for my employer that require a password. The employer requires these be changed periodically. Always before, if I changed the password, about the second or third time I tried to log in and changed the saved password to the correct one, Firefox would ask if I wanted to save the new password. It is not doing this now. How can I get it to save a new password? It keeps putting in the old one.

Log in does not prompt enter new password for first time login

I have created a new client and conducted a client copy for its data. Upon creation of new user for that client, I've provided the initial password. When the user tried to log in, it did not prompt him with the "Enter new password:". Also when trying to change password in the log in screen, it says. "You can no longer change password". How can I fix this one? im using ecc6.

Check what kind of user you are creating first i.e dialog (or) service.
second check if you are having permissions to change the password (or) not.
For service user it will not prompt and for dialog it will prompt automatically.

I am locked out of my computer (macbook air) I just got it back from the apple store and they reset it. I put in a new password, and now it doesnt let me log in anymore. Command R doesnt work, all i hear is a sound, but nothing happens.

(I don't know if this is because it doesnt accpet my password, or I forgot my password in less than 5 minutes, or because when i typed in my new password, i typed it in wrong twice)
Command R doesnt work, all i hear is a sound, but nothing happens.

What I don't understand is why it is rejecting a password I am creating.
Perhaps the password you are creating is too short, or has characters that are not allowed, or is not secure enough because it is a word in a dictionary.
FileVault may have standards for what it considers an acceptable password. If the password is part of the 128-bit encryption scheme, it might have to be 16 characters, for example. (Don't know if that is true, but it's a possibility.) Check your documentation for password requirements.

How can I reset new password in .mac system preferences?

...so that I can upgrade to MobileMe. When I type in my new password and hit Enter, or click over to Sync, it insists on remembering the old password, and then I can't sync. The odd thing is, when I enter the new password into .Mac preferences I get "thanks for being a member" and the days remaining on my account. The new password also works to log me in online, but I can't change system preferences to perform the upgrade to MobileMe. The old .Mac link to iCal works--the info is up to date--but the MobileMe calendar, contacts, bookmarks, etc have no data.. Any ideas?

Reset Password starting from Recovery HD
Start the computer,then press and hold down command and R keys to start into recovery partition.
When you see the Apple logo, release the keys.
Wait until OS X Utilities window shows up.
Move the mouse to the menubar at the top and click "Utilities", then select "Terminal"
from the drop down.
Terminal window will appear.
Type in resetpassword and press enter on the keyboard.
Leave the Terminal window open.
Reset Password Utility window will open with Macintosh HD selected.
Select the user account from the popup menu box.
Enter a new password.
Reenter the new password for the user.
Enter a hint.
Click the "Save" button.
Click  in the menubar and select Restart.
Log in.
If Keychain dialog box appears, select “Create New Keychain”.

How do you allow a user to create a new password?

The way i have it set up right now the users are registered by the admin and a random password is provided for them to log in. When they login they're instructed to create a new password.
They click to update their information. Included in this form is an "Old Password" field and a "New Password" field. They can choose if they want to create a new one or not. So I don't want to make it a requirement.
1 - How do I validate the old password.
2 - When they type the new password and submit the update info form. It inserts the new record over the old. But only after confirming that that old password is correct. How is this done?
Or should they just type in a new password with no validation that they know the old. ? Hm.

if the user choose a name where already exist, the error throws out, but it clears all the register fields (all the users entrys, and i have a few fields)
humm, that´s not cool -- however...
how can i prevent this?
In this case I suggest providing a separate "check username availabilty" procedure in a blank window
(or a popup window, if you prefer) which ...
a) on page 1 has a form with one "check_username" text field, and on...
b) page 2 queries the login table´s "username" column against the textfield´s value and returns "username available" when no matching records were found, respectively "username already allocated" in case of a match.
That´s something I´d do without using ADDT, means DW´s native database related functionality are absolutely sufficient for such simple stuff

How to force a new password in portal with LDAP user? external users

With an external portal (used by agents that do not work for you or reside in your office), company policy is for password to be changed every qtr.
If the users are creating as LDAP users how to force them to change their password when required?
Is this a custom application that needs to be written so when they log into the portal if the qtr has expired the portal ask them to enter a new password that becomes valid for the next qtr.
Versus internally deleting and emailing all the users a new password?

We are getting one problem when we are creating user in LDAP and login with that user in Portal that time we are getting Password change screen , but when we create a user in LDAP and change the password of that user in LDAP then when the user tries to Login to portal that time we are not able to see the password change screen.
But again if we change the password of that user through Portal we are able to see change password screen.
can you help on this how we can force the user to change password when we are changing password in LDAP or in SAP System.
