"required support files missing"

I have the CS4 Suite on my Macbook - Purchased about 4 years ago, the license seems to have expired and none of them will open so I'm trying to get rid of them. The apps were migrated from a previous macbook although I haven't used them in a few years, apparently.
Ive tried several tacks:
When using any of the application uninstallers, I get a message saying "required support files missing."
When I go to Utilities/Adobe Installers/ and run the installer app, same error.
The directions on the Adobe Cleaner seem to say that you have to use AFTER the suite is uninstalled. So that doesn't seem applicable; am I correct?
It looks like I'm not supposed to drag the applications to the trash bin. "In order to remove safely, do not drag ..."
Any ideas?

If you read further down the page for the Cleaner tool I believe instructions are provided for uninstalling. If you haven't tried those steps it's worth a shot:

Installation of required support files for previous version in 8.1.7

Hello, can anyone please help me?
I have upgraded to Oracle 8.1.7 and I need
to install required support files for
Oracle 7.3.4 (to keep some applications running).
The only way I know how to do it, is to reinstall
Oracle 8.0.5 add required support files for Oracle 7.3.4 and
then upgrade to Oracle 8.1.7.
Is there any quicker way of doing it, directly in Oracle 8.1.7?
I could not find option similar to Oracle 8.0.5 to add files.
Please help!

Thanks Frederick, Oracle 8.1.7 is backward compatible and it's
not a problem w/co-existing, however, I need to install required
support filles through the installer process, so it is registered.

Required supporting files for distribution of .chm

I am using X5 to generate a .chm. I know that there are
required system files I must give to my developer inaddition to the
.chm. What are they and where are they located? I

OK. So I was confident but wrong - where do we go from here?
You are sure you are not attempting to view over a network and the
properties dialog does not have n "Unblock" button. And you are not
using archaic versions of Windows...
Could the problem be in the .chm itself? I think I heard that
it was possible in X5 to not use relative paths. That would
certainly cause problems if you moved it about. I don't have X5
available to check that out.
Feel free to email me a copy of your .chm file (if it is less
than 10MB - our firewall spits out large attachments) if you'd like
me to take a look at it. You can look at the path it is trying to
access by right clicking in the TOC and selecting "Jump to URL."
BTW, I think I was wrong about the error messages differing.
I think they may be the same in both cases (network or downloaded
file) "Action canceled" may have to do with it opening the default
topic, while "Page cannot be displayed" appears when a TOC item or
the application tries to open a topic. I have just run into the
errors in different scenarios. A little research showed me they
also came from the same Microsoft security patch. I just found one
much later.

I get this error message when I start up Photoshop
"One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop, are missing. Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop." I used my Creative Cloud membership to get Photoshop. How do I re-install it?

I'm using Mac Lion. I was able to uninstall Photoshop and install it again. I'm not getting that message anymore so I think the problem is resolved. Thank you.

Is ociw32.dll all I need? Do I have to include anything else in $ORACLE_HOME\bin? There are simply too many DLL's, such as oraclient10.dll, oracommon10.dll, oracore10.dll, orageneric10.dll...

Not too sure... Is your installer supposed to create any keys in the registry?
Anyway, open your installer's build specification and check all the sections, I would suggest to bring specific attention to the following sections :
- "Source Files", because here, all the "extra files you want you installer to place in specific format have to be included/referenced in the project (.lvproj)
- "Registry", that's only if the installer is supposed to create keys in the registry
- "Additional installers", make sure you only tick the boyes corresponding to drivers/module that are required for you application and also make sure that when building, the installer you used to install those drivers/modules on your computer are still available.

I was at Starbuck's today trying to install new software for my new wireless internet card and when I finished I could no longer access any of my applications that require java... I have a macbook pro dual platform computer. When I try to access www.bayphoto.com to download my application it says: (see below) (which I think is strange because it's all about Starbuck's and it should be my java code- I think...). Files in Adobe support folder missing?

I've suddenly had a message appear when I open Photoshop CS6 saying "one or more files in the Adobe support folder, necessary for running Photoshop are missing. Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop". When I press o.k. button I can continue to use Photoshop mostly without issue. This message only comes up on initial opening the application. Any ideas?

There was a file missing in my Scripting Editions Library folder. I just copied from a previous back up and pasted in current library and message has now gone when I open up Photoshop.

Although you used the new USB 3.0 port, the actual connection speed is still USB2.0, as the iPod Dock connector, does not have the 10 times faster USB3.0 signal pins, the connection speed is still 480Mbits/s
I assumed that you have tried the other USB 2.0 port to no success..
Can you do the iPod Disk diagnostic as posted earlier by tt2, it wont fix your problem, but helps in troubleshooting.

Combine supported files context menu missing

After upgrading a Citrix server environment from 32 to 64 bit users have noticed that the "combine supported files" option is missing from the context menu. Both servers use the same version of Acrobat
I tried this command from an administrator login at the console.
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat Elements\ContextMenu64.dll"
Still no luck. Anyone have any suggestions?

The open with & share with options are gone too when I right click files. My computer crashed & I had to have the motherboard replaced. I'm having the same issue. I got a new PC, insalled Acrobat X pro and when I right click on an Office file, I could not combine or convert Office files to PDF. I upgraded to Acrobat XI and still no fix. I triled to convert or combine office files to PDF from within Acrobat and I get an error message saying "Acrobat does not support the conversion of one or more of your files to PDF. Please remove these files or go to Settings and choose the PDF Portfolio option".
I've tried to convert or combine Office 2003, 2007, 2010 and 2013 files and none work. The weird thing is that the option shows up for Excel .csv files. Even more werid is that I have the PDF tabs showing in the Office applications.
I contacted Adobe support via chat and they were unable to help. I was directed here, so any help would be great.
