Is it possible to show data from two different sql tables?

Is it possible to show data from two different sql tables? Either to show combined data by using a join on a foreign key or showing a typical master detail view?
I have one table With data about a house, and another table With URL's to images in the blob. Could these two be combined in the same Gallery?

If you only have one image per house, you can use LookUp:

Getting the output of two different sqls in analysis

Please consider the scenario:
I have to get the division value of two diffrent sqls in my analysis. The sqls will look like:
1st SQL: SELECT DISTINCT <alias name1>.<col1>
,<alias name1>.<col2>,<alias name1>.<col3>,<alias name1>.<col4>
FROM Table1 <alias name1>, Table2 <alias name2>, Table 3<alias name3>
WHERE
<alias name3>.<col2>= <alias name2>.<col2>    // joining condition
AND <alias name3>.<col3>= <alias name1>.<col1>    // joining condition
AND <alias name2>.<col1>= 'value1'
AND <alias name2>.<col4>= 'value2'
2nd sql: SELECT DISTINCT <alias name1>.<col1> FROM Table1 <alias name1>
WHERE <alias name1>.<col4>= 'value2'
The 1st sql has joining between 3 tables. and the 2nd SQL has no joining. whenever I drag and drop the columns with respect to the two sqls separately. it gives correct output. But it does not give me correct output when i try to do it together as all the tables are joined.
The sql which works as 2nd sql is:
SELECT DISTINCT <alias name1>.<col1>
FROM Table1 <alias name1>, Table2 <alias name2>, Table 3<alias name3>
WHERE
<alias name3>.<col2>= <alias name2>.<col2>    // joining condition
AND <alias name3>.<col3>= <alias name1>.<col1>    // joining condition
AND <alias name2>.<col4>= 'value2'
I need my 2nd sql to give me output without the join conditions of 1st sqls. how can I achieve this?
Please help. I need it urgently.

I have tried by creating a separate alias for table1. But that is not working. alias is giving me joined output..

These forums are barely usable, but a bright spot is the color-managed photo attachment capability (i.e., you can upload an image with a non-sRGB color profile and the server will convert it). I suppose if anything Adobe could have been expected to get that part right.

I don't get the point.
Listener don't hold connection but only redirect it to Instance, is the instance which create a session/process.
The use of listener is so small it's only for incoming connection, so after connection is established it is handled by Oracle Database process.
If you stop listener only incoming connection are affected, all current connection still alive on database.
1) ASM Connection is done only when someone try to connect at ASM remotely. It's pretty rare the use of it.
2) Does not matter if you are using ASM or DB Listener, ff you have a storm of connection incoming on its listener it should be avoided, in setting up the clients in a manner they don't open 100rds of connections at the same time - and with some listener.ora parameters.
Still see no reason to have two listener.

Streaming requires two files per video?

A client is requesting QT MP4 videos for streaming on a Mac server. He is telling me each movie must have two files, a short file to start paying back quickly and a separate file for the rest of the movie, so it can load while the first clip is playing. He can't give me any more explaination than this.
Can anybody explain this to me? I have never heard of it.

He says true streaming through a QuickTime Streaming Server.
But the file I gave him for a test is a 1 min QT file, hinted for streaming. It takes about 10 seconds to come up on his site over my 3mbs connection. It looks to me like it is downloading.
He says this is because streaming requires two files and I haven't given him two files, a start file and the rest of the movie.
I have never heard of this "two files" thing. Have you? Isn't hinted for streaming always embeded?

Linking two PL/SQL queries in 10G reports builder

Hi,
I have two complex SQL queries and I want to link one to the other.
ie. I have a class of applicants and I want to retrieve their information, I do this with query one. Then for each applicant I have a number of checks all of which must be held in a cursor, so I have query two. But for each entry in query one I want to link it to the entry in query two.
Data links dont seem to work for PL SQL queries, so any suggestions on how I would do it?

Dropdown widget requires two clicks?

I'm just becoming familiar with the dropdown widget, and have noticed that it requires two clicks in order to display the list. The first click doesn't do anything, and the second displays the choices. Is there some way around this? I looked in the properties but didn't see anything related to this issue. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I reported this behaviour, don't have a workaround. Can only recommend that you report it as well.

T60P CD-rom requires two open/close to recognize a CD

Every time I place a CD in my T60p it spins and sounds like it finds the CD but then when i click the CD-ROM in WinXP it tells me to insert a disc. All I have to do is open and close the CD-ROM and it finds the CD. This happens with every single CD I have ever used, DVD included. It requires two times to recognize. I have had a replacement CD-rom drive but it did not fix the issue.

Which Edition of Windows is required for using SQL 2012 Always On Availability Groups

I want to use the new feature of having 2 secondary mirror replicas. the first secondary replica will be sync the second one will be async.
Currently I have SQL Enterprise license and Windows 2008 R2 Standard license.
Will I be required to upgrade to Windows Enterprise license to use Always On? (since this feature depends on Windows clustering?)
Can you please confirm if SQL Always On feature can be used on Windows 2008 R2 standard or not?

Always On is available with Standard Edition but it supports only 2 nodes.
AlwaysOn is a bigger umbrella which covers two features. AlwaysOn Availability Groups (AG) and AlwaysOn Failover Cluster Instance (FCI).
FCI for 2 node is supported. You can't use AG feature in SQL Server Standard Edition

Smart forms--In different pages i require two different main windows

In one smartform, I am having two pages. and two pages are having different formats
First page will print repeatedly till the completion of main window1.
Now i want to add another main window(2) to second page, it will also should print repeatedly till the completeion of main window(2).
But in first page main window contains 5 coloumns with subtotal
in second page main window contains 3 columns without subtotal
Both main windows are using same internal table.
can anybody help me in this issue.
If i copy first page main window into second page as main window with diferrent name, then it is showing blank window with out any text why?

Try to do it like this, separate the data in internal table to two different tables, since data should be printed on two different formats...
Design two page in your smartform according to the requirment. now goto first page and set the next page as FIRST
now goto second page that you have created and set the next page as SECOND.
loop the first internal table in first page and once all the entries are finished, try to goto second page for doing this place command and tick the check box in command, goto next page and select the page as Second...
I guess this will solve your issue.

Help required in developing SQL developer extension

Hi,
We have a requirement to develop an extension for Sql Developer. The requirement matches the Reports framework in Sql Developer.
We need to have a separate dock as in reports where we can navigate through the tree and execute some predefined queries.
I implemented this using the Docking Sample of Sql Developer extensions. I am able to show a separate dock with the tree hieararchy of the nodes and adding context menus to the nodes.
But , the problem is how do we integrate this UI with the queries and how do we prompt the user to select the connections and other bind variables.
We can do this by using an XML file and importing it in the reports. But, we need a separate dock for our functionality.
I tried modifying the reports API by obtaining the code from the oracle.sqldeveloper.report.jar . But , facing problems while compiling the modified code to a jar.
Any help in this regard is appreciated.

Create a variable for posting period
Put posting period in column.
Create 2 selections for the KF.
Restrict 1st sel from Jan Variable-1
Restrict 2nd sel from Variable Dec

I need to write
1.the DDL to create the following three tables and the DML to insert the data into the table. Create a sequence for the ID field on all three tables and use the sequence in the DML. The DDL to create the tables should include the logical referential integrity.
2.the PL/SQL to create two stored procedures in a package. The first procedure will take in an department ID and will return both the current timestamp and a list of the different distinct tiers belonging to that department ID. These will be returned as two separate parameters.
3.The second stored procedure will take in a tier ID and provide back the second highest salary for that tier.
4. the syntax to add a modified_time field to all three tables as a timestamp, and populate this field with the current timestamp.
4.the syntax to drop all three tables, sequences and the package as commented out in the script.
