when i click on check for update, the iTunes wants me to provide me a file or something from my computer, instead, it should check and suggest for an update

    Demo,
I'm not sure how I'm supposed to do that the instruction says since i am not familiar with Apple at all what are quick links even? Am i supposed to do this on Itunes on my Ipad or on the computer?
this was that reply you mentioned.
I spoke with Apple Tech Support and they guided me through this.  I was trying to get the App Store working on a new iPad mini using a new, but existing Apple ID.  To get it to work, I had to go onto iTunes on my main computer (not on the iPad).  I had been trying to use the Sign In button, and I was having the issue of being "forced" to enter a credit card, which I did not want to do.  Here was the solution I was given, which worked for me.
Log out of iTunes, if you are not already.  (Or hit Cancel if you're on the Review Payment screen.)
Instead of going into Sign In, go to Redeem under the Quick Links, on the right-hand side, down a bit.
Go through the screens, accepting the EULA, etc.  You will get to a Review Payment screen, similar to the one you saw before, but it will have a None button.
You can enter an iTunes card here if you want, but I was able to leave that field blank and still successfully get the account set up, ready to use on the iPad.

Wanting to move to single-click publishing (supported by MobileMe), I now find it is not supported by iCloud and Mountain Lion. I feel cheated, having bought it mainly for this purpose! The other thing they don't tell you is that Mountain Lion disables OfficeMac, and I am considering uninstalling it for that reason - do I get my money back?!

You stated; "Mountain Lion disables OfficeMac"
    That is not true.
Mountain Lion does not have Rosetta so it is not capable of executing PowerPC code. If you have MS Office 2004 that is coded in PowerPC code and will not run in Mountain Lion. What you need to do is upgrade to an Intel version of Office.

I have been using Photoshop and Lightroom for years, purchasing upgrades. If I join CC do I have to pay the same as someone new to PS and Lightroom?

Adobe usually offers discounts on the full Creative Cloud (all apps) for customers with CS3 or later. However the Photography plan (Photoshop and LR) Is $9.99 pm (or local currency) and the initial benefits for CS customers who took what was then called The Photography Program (larger cloud storage) has now ended.

  • I just used a firewire connection to transfer files from an older MAC to a newer MAC. My newer MAC has lost all that was on it, and all the applications are opening like they have never been used before and asking for Rosetta. Help!!!

I just used a firewire connection to transfer files from a PowerBook G4 to a MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro has lost all that was on it, and all the applications are opening like they have never been used before and asking for Rosetta. How do I find all my files on the MacBook Pro, or undo what I have done???

IGNORE the last post: he thought you are using Lion or Mountain Lion.
Since you are using Snow Leopard, you need to install Rosetta.  It can be found on your Snow Leopard Install DVD in the Options section.
Once installed all should be well again.
Also, if your computer is connected to the internet when the Dialog Box about PowerPC applications comes up, it MIGHT allow you to download Rosetta from the internet.  There has been some discussion that Apple has discontined internet download of Rosetta into Snow Leopard.
Someone else will have to address your lost files problem.

    This is regarding CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN fm
Currently we are using function module crm_order_maintain outside Loop i.e calling once for all the contracts as sap crm performance standard ,
Is there any standard documentation where we can find that states CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN should be only used outside loop,
As some are telling us to use in Loop Endloop because of timeout error in background job with contract having 180 line items,Which i feel that this create unneccessary load on execution (Not Recommendable)
Please share any comments and suggestion this and also provide me the SAP Help Link on this

    Hi,

  • Outlook 2013 - cannot use RoomLists and Suggested Times

    Hi,
maybe someone has a clue on what is wrong here.
In OWA, we can use the new features RoomList and Suggested Rooms when using the Calendar Assistant to plan a new meeting. The room list can be first be chosen, and the fields for the rooms are then populated as expected, you can choose one of the rooms.
The following is true for every Outlook Session on PCs/virtual Clients, they are configured to use Online Mode: In Outlook 2013, when using: New Meeting - Scheduling Assistant, the feature "Choose an available room" stays complete empty and
does not show the room list. Also the box below that, labeled "suggested Times", does not load or display content. Instead, an error message is displayed in it: "Suggestions cannot be provided because free/busy data could not be retrieved."
Laptops use the exact same Outlook version, but run in cached mode. Here, if you deconfigure "Communication using http" in the OL profile, the lookup for suggested times works _once_ until Restart, then the button is automatically added, the
profile automatically made good again, and the suggestion function is broken again.
If you deconfigure the button "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using http" in the Outlook Profile under the connection tab on an _online mode PC_, the profile is broken and not automatically made good again. So no temporary workaround is possible
    here.
We do not run policies that may keep Outlook 2013 from using the functions. In fact we do only rule cached or online mode.
Our Room List is free of special characters and short enough, so no problems that other people have found in their environments.
We have found some older articles reporting broken functionality, when applying or not applying hotfixes. We have checked several of that and it is not the source of our problem.
Also, we are currently within one domain, so no complicated setup using one or more forests or even other domains, configuration of free/busy accounts should not be an issue here.
Our best guess is it may have to do with using Exchange webservices or MAPI for the connection, see both ways described communicating over http or not above, but we have not found an error or wrong configuration here.
Can you please advise on where to search next?

    Hi,
Which version of Exchange server are you using?
Does the free/busy information display correctly if we click the Rooms button and select a room from GAL?
Are you trying to start a meeting in which either the Start time or the
End time is outside your working hours? If this is the case, this issue may happen. Please have a look at the following KB article and check if it applies:

  • Why use link-local addressing for HSRP in IPv6?

I have scoured the internet for an answer to this question, and am no closer to having it answered.  Am hoping someone here can help!
    * Why do we use link-local (or autoconfig) addresses for the standby IP in FHRPs?  If you are forwarding a packet towards a link-local destination address, wouldn't the source address then have to be a link-local address from the same prefix, which according to scope, should not route beyond the local link?  How do you route an IP packet that has a link-local address for a source address?
Any insight would be much appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

    Dougles,
next hop is used for reaching "gateway" that know where to send packets farther (read it as "next hop to the destination")... routing in IPvX is hopping between nodes where every hop is closer to destination... This is theory behind.
So as machine that needs to send packet to "not directly connected destination" you only need to send packet to gateway leading to this destination...
so you need to send packet so, that "gateway" will recieve this packet and gateway then send this packet farther... it is not important what IP address this gateway has.
On ethernet you only need to know MAC address of this gateway and you send packet (with your source IPv6 address and intended destination IPv6 address) encapsulated with "destination MAC address" of gateway. When gateway recieve ethernet frame, and this frame is for it (destination MAC address is its MAC address), the gateway will proceed IP header (inside IP header the gateway see IT is not final destination for this packet, and gateway will route this packet).
So configuring IP address as next hop is just "hleper for simpler administration".. MAC address of gateway is important. In IPv4 address resolution protocol (ARP) is used to automaticly get MAC address of gateway if you configure next hop as IP address. In IPv6 there is neighbor discovery protocol(ND) used for this task.
conclusion: you can use link local address as nex hop address for addresses from any scope ... next hop is just next hop, it is not used just for the same scope communication.
And question is... if we need just information about MAC address of gateway, why to ask using global address?
We need to get MAC address... that is information important just "locally"... so to ask for local information, why not use link local address ?
HSRP is the same case... really just need MAC address to send packets correctly.

  • Problems and suggestions for N5901 Mini Wireless Keyboard.

I really like the mini keyboard I use on my mini-PC as a set top box for Windows 7 Media Center applications on my TV  but I have some  problems with it and have a few suggestions if they are going to update or design a replacement for it.
    1.  PROBLEM: The Question Mark "?" which is labeled in orange on the "K" key but when you use Fn + K sometimes  gives the forward slash "/" character.
    2.  PROBLEM: On the top row of regular keys below the media keys where the numbers are, the characters on the upper part of each of the keys is shown in orange, indicated they are accessed using the "Fn" button but they aren't they are accessed using the "Shift" key.  SUGGESTIONS: Change the color to either white or a different color, possibly blue and also change the color for "Shift" to the same color.
    3. PROBLEM: No real standard Fx (F1 to F12) keys.  SUGGESTION: Since the problem listed in item 2 doesn't use the Fn key, label (in orange) and use the same row for Fn + 1 through Fn + 0 as F1 to F10,  Fn + - (minus) as F11 and Fn + = (equal sign) as F12.
4: PROBLEM: No Home, End, Page Up and Page Down keys.  SUGGESTION: Label (in orange) and use Fn + Left Arrow for Home, Fn + Right Arrow for End, Fn + Up Arrow for Page Up and Fn + Down Arrow for Page Down.

Hi, i found a solution for the media keyboard, try download this http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=037D3424-B217-42E4-BC90-45B4882D8CD2&displa...
it is IntelliType pro, it is generic driver and it's work with N9501 keyboard. You choose any keyboard on the list and the media bouton work exept the volume...

If you're able to contact the person who set the lock, send them this link and tell them to follow its instructions.
If not, you can't activate the device but may be able to get it refunded. Apple won't remove the lock for anyone other than the original owner(assuming they're alive.)

  • Can I use classes and methods for a maintenance view events?

    Hello experts,
Instead of perform/form, can I instead use classes and methods, etc for a given maintenance view event, lets say for example I want to use event '01' which is before saving records in the database. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot guys!

    Hi viraylab,
    1. The architecture provided by maintenance view
for using EVENTS and our own code inside it -
       It is provided using FORM/PERFORM
       concept only.
    2. At this stage,we cannot use classes.
    3. However, inside the FORM routine,
we can write what ever we want.
We can aswell use any abap code, including
       classes and methods.
(But this classes and methods won't have any
effect on the EVENT provided by maintenance view)
    regards,
    amit m.

  • About using categories and perspectives for new user

We are just beginning a conversion and upgrade project to convert our Web site to Oracle Portal. I'm trying to get a good handle on some different things we need to resolve as part of the project. One of the first decisions is using Categories and Perspectives.
I'd like to ask users about how they have used categories and perspectives and some real-world examples of how these work and improve the site and user experience.
    About us
We're a big nonprofit river authority and wholesale electric provider in Austin, Texas. Currently, we offer very limited online transaction capabilities. However, we are diverse organization and users come to us looking for every specific information, so these elements may be very helpful. I'm evaluating how we can use these and other elements to make recommendations. Some real-world examples and best practices would help a lot.
    Thank you, Charles Boisseau
    Web editor
    Lower Colorado River Authority
    [email protected]

    Continuing the thread...
Perspectives and categories may be leveraged in custom search portlets, so that you can enter the content one time, in one place, and have selected content display in multiple places.
Re: our "news" concept: our central communications group posts news stories tagged with one or more perspectives, such as which school is related to the story. This allows us to keep all of our news stories in one page group, but reuse the content elsewhere. For example, for the School of Nursing intranet, we can use a custom search portlet that automatically displays only that school's stories.
You'll want to do some up-front planning regarding your classification scheme. One significant limitation of both categories and perspectives is the inability to change the hierarchy. Oracle Portal product team, if you're reading this, this is a serious pain! I might also recommend leaving your classification scheme relatively flat. Tagging content with perspectives becomes more difficult if the content contributor has to visually traverse a deep hierarchy of perspectives.
Categories work similarly, but we mainly use them to visually sort items on a page using the "Group By" feature of a region.
Hope this gets some gears turning.

  • Timeouts while using LDAP and TNSNAMES for names resolving

I use an OID for Oracle Names resolving at the client-side.
I tested some errorcases because there are no HA-features implemented for the OID.
So i have an LDAP.ORA with the adress and the ports of the OID.
    My SQLNET.ORA has this content:
    NAMES.DEFAULT_DOMAIN = <my_company_domian>
    SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS)
NAMES.DIRECTORY_PATH= (LDAP, TNSNAMES)So actually there is no problem. But when i turn off the OID-Server there iss a timeout of about 20 second to resolve the name.
So my problem is not the resolving. I only want to know if there is a possibility to minimize the timeout to switch between LDAP-name-resolving to tnsnames.ora-name-resolving?

thanks Oviwan but i think this problem couldn't be solved with a parameter.
    @rgoogld:
I already feared that i have to live with that timeout.
But your options are interesting. In the future i will have 2 OIDs and in the first time the TNSNAMES.ORA-names-resolving as backup.
I already can test this because i have a productive OID and one for test-purposes. So at the moment i have two OIDs listet in my LDAP.ORA.
    example:
    DIRECTORY_SERVERS = (<server_name_oid1>:<Port1>:<Port2>, <server_name_oid2>:<Port1>:<Port2>)
    DEFAULT_ADMIN_CONTEXT = ""
DIRECTORY_SERVER_TYPE = OIDThere is already a (about 20 seconds) timeout, when the OID1 is powered down or the services are stopped. The client honestly ask the second OID after the "timeout" and resolve the name.
2 OIDs+TNSNAMS or 1 OID+TNSNAMES in both cases your options could perhaps prevent the timeout. I'm not really a system administrator, but i can discuss it with my colleagues here.
Do you know a smart way to remove or repoint an DNS-entry in a windows enviroment. For such actions i have also to monitor the status of the OID-services or the servers and make the dns-changes if something is crashed.
At this moment i have no idea how to do this but perhaps you or someone else here have some tips for me.
