Requirements Gateway TS-Intermidiate File

Hi,
I would like to know if there is change to modify the Intermidiate File Genenerator for TestStand?
or is there a way to implement user defined generators?

Hi Al,
I have decided to try it with the report.
But combining ID and Limit in the XML Report will fail.
I opended a new thread to discuss:
http://forums.ni.com/t5/NI-TestStand/Requirements-Gateway-Identifier-Format/td-p/2338498
btw i have looked on the NI-RG code. It seems most stuff is done in ot-scripts.
I suppose TeststandSequenceFile generator is done in ot, too. But this script is complied.
i have no change to look inside. Is there a reason why the compiled one is shipped while the
Microsoft one's like Word,Excel and Access are non complied ?

  • E-Commerce Gateway Question about Interface File Definition.

    Hello Gurus,
Does anyone know if Oracle e-Commerce Gateway (11.5.10.2) deliver the Interface File Definition for Inbound Purchase Orders (850/ORDERS) - _'IN: Purchase Orders (850/ORDERS)'_ out of the box?
I see Interface File Definition for OPM Purchase Order along with a bunch of other trx sets (like ASNI, INI, INO) but not Purchase Orders (850/ORDERS) in the instance that I am working... so just wanted to verify.
    Thanks

Following are some of the pros of using XML Gateway:
    1) XML is being accepted and more and more technologies are moving towards XML, so that "seems" to a future ready solution
    2) XML processing is real-time.
    3) Most of the maps for universally accepted standards are seeded in Oracle.
    4) You can use Oracle Supplier Network(Free service provided by Oracle) with your XML gateway to transmit/receive xml documents to a supplier who may or may not be accepting the format you are generating(e.g. if your PO is in OAG standard and your supplier is accepting cXML format, OSN takes care of translating your document)
You might want to consider these points while deciding the technology.

  • Requirements Gateway and TS-Intermidiate File II

    Hi
I have asked in this thread about the TestStand Intermidiate file.
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/NI-TestStand/Requirements-Gateway-TS-Intermidiate-File/m-p/2288998/highlight...
At the moment I am writing my own intermidiate file generator. To keep it simple as possible i have tried to derive it from the NI's one's. One Attribute i could not explain is: "canGenerateResults" in the step element tag.
Is it possible to tell me how this flag value is created?

    Hi Daniel,
what you have descriped is the attribute: recordResult.
but the word "sequence" pointed me to the right flag.
The attribute: canGenerateResults ist created by.

  • Requirements Gateway 1.1 terminates docx processing when encountering a symbol

My Word (*.docx) test procedure includes a symbol to denote margin around an expected value such as: "Each motor current reads 45 ±1 degree C"
When Requirements Gateway creates the intermediate document, it terminates the creation just before the "±" symbol, so the rest of my document is not included in the file. Obviously this means my remaining covering statements are not included in the coverage analysis. Removing the above symbol is the workaround.
    Is this known behaviour?

Maybe it makes a difference that it's contained in a table. Here's an example docx file and the intermediate file that was generated. Note the intermediate file stopped at the noted symbol.

  • Requirements Gateway OT-Script example

    Hi,
I have written my own TestStand NIRG intermidiate file generator as a COM compontent.
Now i would like to integrate it in NIRG via the OT-Script.
I have created a new .br file placed a new Method inside there.
Well at the moment i see my Teststand convert tool in the convert tool's drop-down list in types editor panel.
Of course i am not famous with this kind of scripts.
In the other br files there is a lot of code, but there are no comments.
Is there a suitable example or documentation on OT-Scripts ?

  • Requirements Gateway nested requirements

    Hello,
I'm new requirements gateway user and I wonder if I'm using it correctly.
I'm trying to define a requirement in a doc file covered in a child document and also by child of this child.
    Example
    Top File : REQ_1
    Child file : { Cover REQ_1
                           REQ_11
                           REQ_12
Child child file : Cover REQ_11
Of course the syntax is wrong but the principle is there. I'm trying to have a REQ_1 coverage of 50% (or 66%).
I've tryed  macro requirements but it does not seem to fit my needs. I do not want to have all low level requirements in the top level document.
    Thanks
    JF

    Hi JF,
Unfortunately, there is no way to have a percentage of a specific requirement covered. In Requirements Gateway, either a requirement is covered or it is not. The percentage of the overall requirements covered is then displayed.
If you don't want to have low-level requirements in the same file as the high-level requirements, you can use the MultiWord Type to specify a directory of requirement files to read in as a single Requirements Gateway document. This way you can spread your requirements amongst multiple files.

  • Requirements Gateway and TestStand

    Hello,
This one is more of a RG question but there is no RG area to post.
I have a Word Document that defines the requirements for a test sequence.
The requirements are covered by both
    1) LabVIEW VI's
    2) TestStand sequence.
What I want to do is see what my coverage of the Word Documents Coverage is.
I've noticed that when I've added the TestStand sequence to my Req Gateway project, every entry in the TS document spawns a "derived requirement".
Is there a way to switch this off?
I want to link my word document to a place in the test sequence and say this is where I cover i.e. Saving the Data. I do not intend to link my TS Sequence with a Results File.
The annoying bit is when I look at the analisys view even though my Word Document is covered 100% there still is a number of uncovered derived requirements comming fromthe TS Sequence.
    Thanks for any advice!.
    Maciej
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I re - read my post and it is clear as mud...So I'll try to be clearer.
    Two issues I'm facing:
    1) Linking a TestStand sequence to a Word Document causes RG to generate additional "derived' requirement for each of the TS items ( steps or sequences ).
I would like to switch this fuctionality off. I'm not interested in the Derived Requirements in this scenario.
    2) Please see the desired structure linkage:
If I set up my project this way and I for example Cover 1 requirement in the word document in 3 places in the Test stanad sequence only I see the following message.
    Requirement 'REQ_ControlMotorRPM' is not covered.
    Error: Uncovered requirement
( Please see the Desired Structure png )
It would seem to me that Requirements Gateway ONLY allows me to Bind One Document to One LV Project or TS Sequence.
If I remove my LV projects from the covers dependency the requirements are covered fine and no error occures.
In my case I have One requirements document that is adressed by a TS Sequence and 2 LabVIEW Driver Projects ... I can't seem to configure this right.
So my requirements document has 100% of the requirements.
Some of them will be sorted out by  the TestStand Sequence , and some of them will be sorted out by my Driver Projects , how do I configure RG so that one Spec is solved by 3 software items?
    Thanks,
    Maciej

  • Requirements Gateway and Doors Types

No Requirements Gateway board but am working with TestStand also..
I am pulling requirements from DOORS and I need to filter out a column but I cannot find a way to check that a column is NOT empty. I already made a DOORS advanced type and I am trying to edit the requirement field to filter out a column called Interface Name. I want to only pull in the rows where Interface Name is populated. I am currently pulling in useless information where the column is empty. I tried leaving the value blank and negating it to mimic a 'not empty' concept and that did not work. Any suggestions?

    Hey cframe,
You should be able to do this by specifying that the object should have an attribute of a certain name. For example, this is the DOORS module for the basic DOORS example we provide with Requirements Gateway:
And here is an example of how you could configure the Requirement field to only pull requirements which have a Priority specified:
By specifying that each requirement must have an Attribute with the name "Priority", you are configuring the type to only recognize requirements which have a Priority defined.
I hope this helps, and please let me know if you run into any trouble with it--I'd be happy to help further if this doesn't solve it.

  • Exporting LabViiew vi documentation from requirements gateway to Telelogic DOORS.

    1) I have entered documentation information in to my vi and can see it in requirements gateway. When I export it ot DOORS, it gets added to the bottom of the objects in DOORS. I am useing a company template in DOORS and need my vi documentation to come into DOORS at a specific paragraph and not at the bottom of the document. Is it possible to do this?
    2) When I export to DOORS all the information from a vi "Documents" property wends up in one single object. Can I split this to two or more objects?

    Hi percy,
Unfortunately, the export tool does not have the features you are looking for.  The tool is intended to provide a way to easily move your requirements data into DOORS with the intent that you will customize the order and organization of the data within the DOORS environment.

  • Requirements Gateway Identifier Format

    Hi,

    http://forums.ni.com/t5/forums/replypage/board-id/330/message-id/39779
by using the identifier format i should be able to create my ID for requirements and references as well.
For text files it is working well, but when i am using xml files in the reference pane it seems not working.
It attaches only the \1  and \2 is empty and the reference is created twice. One has the nodevalue for <Low>
the other one has the <Element> Value.
Is there a way to fix this ?
