Requirement date for 3 level  Component in BOM

Iam having Multilevel  Sales order bom
Header material requirement date and receipt date given by system is 23.04.2009
first level assembly requirement date and receipt date given by system is  is 07.04.2009
second level assembly is phantom
Third level componant requirement date is 31.03.2009 and receipt date given by system is 19 June 2009 .
Gr proceesing time of 2 days is maintained and no planned delivery time is maintained.
Why Third level componant receipt date given by system is 19 June 2009 ?
Edited by: mayuresh  bhurke on Jan 19, 2009 6:31 PM

Mayuresh,
It seems the 3rd level component has a long planned delivery time in material master. Hence the system  has pushed the receipt date forward to 19 June 2009  from 31.03.2009. Please check material master time for the 3rd level component.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Ram

  • Capture ERFMG - Requirement quantity for a component

    Hi All,
I have a requirement where in i need to capture the requirement quantity for a component(ERFMG).
The problem is the value exists only at runtime in the following structure MDPM.
I am writing the code in an exit   EXIT_SAPMM06E_013 where in i cannot capture this value from this structure. It is not storing in a database table also . how can i get this value  ?
    Kindly help.
    Priya.

    Hi,
    Thank you for your post!
It is exactly what I have done but as I above mentioned:
    Subsequent problem
The system schedules the dates correctly on the component level, but re-schedules the dates for the project the day you schedule and erase the complete old scheduling dates except for the activities with constraints.
If I have an "old" scheduled project and I add some new components anywhere in the complete project structure additional needs. I go then to the project definition level and schedule the complete project. My result is that on project definition and WBS elements no changes but on all activities (without confirmation) the system put the start date the day which I re-schedule the project.
That what I want  to avoid and let the initial planned schedule date on activity level the same as before re-scheduling the project.
Do you have any further advices?
Thank you in advance for your input
    Best regards

  • Settings for a component of BOM

    Dear guru ,
For a component of bom with material type quantity and value updating I want to make these settings :
    -     relevant for costing
    -     not relevant for mrp dependent requirements
    -     only for information purpose for production order
    -     not a non-stock item
How can I make these setting for a component of bom ?
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear
Please find the answer of your question :
    - relevant for costing : In BOM  Select the component line item and double click .Goto Status Tab , you  have un-check the Check Box -Relevent for Costing
    - not relevant for mrp dependent requirements  :- Goto MM02 with item code  and select MRP4 view -Keep the seting 1 -Dependent Reuirement not relevent for planning in MRP
At the same time u can keep the MRP Type : ND  in MRP1 View in case if u do not want to plan through MRP .
    - only for information purpose for production order : The will be copied with this item automatically or manually based on the configuration u have kept in OPL8-Order Type dependent parameters for your Production Order Type (pp01) .Here in BOM Selection -Automatic -1/Manual -2  should be kept in order type dependent parameters.
    - not a non-stock item  : Keep the item categoery in BOM as N  while creation of BOM in CS01.
Hope this will fullfill your requirement .
    Regards
    JH

  • Is it possible to change the requirement date of a component?

    Hello Gurus,
When a non stock material is defined as a component of service order a requirement date is automatically determinded (RESBD-BDTER) on the current date. Does someone knows if one can be able to influence this field?
It means that I would like to be able to fill it by myself.
    Kind regards
    Chris

    Hi Paul,
    As you said "
The requirement date is calculated as follows:
    1. The start date (earliest scheduled start) of the operation minus
    2. The goods receipt processing time of the component and minus or plus
    3. The lead time offset for the component in the order
The above values (point 2 and 3) can be adjusted to manipulate the
    delivery date."
I have checked for stock & non stock item, but this calculation is not working for work orders. only i can change the date with offset. i checked material master record and change the GR processing time and planned delivery time but its not working. Do you have any idea why its not working?
    Thanks.

  • Requirements date for VSF "backdating" itself in two months

Please help me understand this peculiar system behavior.
MD04 routinely displays the plant/materialu2019s planned independent requirement as a u201CVSFu201D having a requirements date of the first work-day of the period.  What I cannot explain is why the October 2012 VSF has a requirements date of September 21, 2012. Why would the date not be October 1, 2012? The factory calendar assigned to the plant has October 1, 2012 as a work-day.
Same situation for December 2012. The VSF for December has a requirements date of November 21, 2012.
For the rest of 2012, and for the first three months of 2013, the VSF elements are dated on the first work-day of the month. What would cause the requirements to fall a week and a half early for October and December 2012?
I should add that this peculiarity is not limited to one material. It happens over many materials and across all plants. The common thread among the materials is that we plan them into info structure S608 and then disaggregate among the active warehouses / shipping points.
By the way, I am not very fluent in MRP, so please do not assume that I have ruled out something obvious.

Well, we figured it out.  The problem was the fiscal year variant.
A few years ago, we were a nine-to-five, Monday-thru Friday kind of company.  As such, the accounting periods were carefully managed so that a period never ended over a weekend or on a holiday.  Nowadays, we are a 24-7 operation, and accounting periods correspond to calendar months.
But when we changed over the fiscal year variant, it was only set up thru 2011.  2012 still had the old period strategy.
On the MRP3 tab of the material master record, material/plants are assigned the period indicator u201CPu201D, Period according to fiscal year variant.  We forecast by periods in S608.
MRP was just doing its thing and determining requirements according to our accounting periods and setting the requirements date accordingly.
Solution:  correct the fiscal year variant out for a few more years.  Transport, reload the forecast data, transfer to demand management, and run MRP.
All is well in the stock/requirements list.

  • How to get committed date for each component after availability check

    Hi,
When I use CO02 to check material availability, I can see committed date in missing part list and missing part overview for each component in production order. I save it and use CO03 to read missing part list again. The committed date is blank?! How to get the committed date for each missing part in production order?
Another question, committed date can be displayed in CO24(missing parts info system)? Thanks in advance!!

    Rita,
Please check that the PP avail. check has replensh lead time turned on. If RLT is turned off & there is no sufficient stock of material, then system can only committ date of 12/31/9999.
Once you turn on RLT, it will give you some date based on your configured avail check ( that looks at stock or purchase order or production order). That way if there is no sufficient stock of material to satisfy your order system will committ the worst case date which is the RLT.
On CO24 unfortunately there is no field for Committ date. Hence is it not possible to view commit date. You can only view Committ quantity.
i am sure this will help you. Else please come back.
    thanks,
    Ram

  • Update required quantity for material component in Process Order.

    Hello.
I need update component qty from Z dialog program.
The famous BAPI_PROCORD_CHANGE doesn't deal with COMPONENT structure but only HEADER. Then I tried to combine it with an enhancement.
    I see that in WORKORDER_UPDATE~BEFORE_UPDATE I can't change values in IT_COMPONENT.
Anybody have used enhancement for this purpose and how can I transfer my calculated values to order?
In addition I check ENHANCEMENT-SECTION   CO_BT_ORDER_POST_02 SPOTS ES_SAPLCOBT  to do it.
What syntax our developers should write if it's possible?
    Thanks
    Alex Davidov

    Kumar.
What should be copied? The header batch or some/all of the characteristics of the header batch to a new batch for the component?

  • Requirement date for PIR

    Hi Everyone,
We we create PIR in MD61 by weeks, say plan qty 25 in W38, 2008, the system will automatically assign the requirement date as 2008-09-15 (Monday) in MD04.
Is it possible to change the date to the last day of the week 38... in this case, 2008-09-21..?
    Thanks,
    Bin

    Hi,
It is not possible to set the date to the last day of the week as the requirement date.
If you want every Saturday to be your requirement day, create planning calender with the week starting day as Saturday and assign it in your material master and check up whether it suits with your requirement.

  • Material requirement date...please clarify

    Hello friends,
Whenever we create a SUBCONTRACTING PO for 1 quantity  of finished product....the system proposes a REQUIREMENT DATE for the component item. I am unable to understand what drives the calculation of this requirement date. I mean how is this calculated. Please clarify
    Regards,
    Sanjay

    Hi,
The planned delivery time (in calendar days) is deducted from the delivery date, the resulting date is converted to the last workday before it (if necessary) and afterwards the purchasing processing time (in workdays) is deducted. Consequently, the purchasing processing time is used as a float for the provision of components.

  • Component requirement date in subcontracting PO

    Hello All,
I have subcontracting PR having delivery date as 26.11.2010 and release date as 17.10.2010 and planned delivery time as 40 days. I change the PR release date to 10.10.2010 and it shows the requirement date for the components as same as 10.10.2010 which is my requirement. But when I convert PR to PO it is showing the component requirement date as 19.09.2010 and release and delivery date same as in PR.
How system is showing requirement date in PO as 19.09.2010? Is some one has any idea?

    Hi,
Can you upload screenshots of what you see in ME53N & ME23N with details as seen in component list & the dates to picasaweb or some portal?

  • Component requirement date in subcontracting case

How system is showing requirement date in PO as 19.09.2010? Is some one has any idea?
    Mayur Phalak

    Hi Mayur
The requirement date for component in subcontract is Delivery date of the item minus planned delivery time -This is what SAP library says. But in your case I see a huge difference. Is your PR manually created or MRP generated?
Have you maintained info record? Is planned delivery time is copied from info record? You can see planned delivery time in PO delivery tab. (find out which value has been copied).
As per SAP standard when you press enter button in PO requirement date is redetermined based on planned delivery time in the PO delivery tab. So try giving Planned delivery time in PR or info record to adjust requirement date
Write to me if you are not clear.

  • Req date for an activity based on planned delivery time of component

    Hi Experts
I wish to create activities for purchase and install an equipment.
The procurement activity is assigned with the component.
the planned delivery time is specifed (ex: 100 days)
Based on this value, can i get calculated the requirement date for the activity (Ex: today+100days) in stead of manual specification of date for the corresponding activity?
    warm regards
    ramSiva

    Hi Ahmed
Thanks for your response. This seems to be good feature.
However, i could not get the date corrected for my activity after applying this function.
I have created an activity with normal duration 1day. For the same activity, i have assigned a compnent which has 100days planned del time.
Then i have used 'Transfer Del time --> duration'. But no change.
Could you suggest me right approach?

    Hello Friends,
    I have the following scenario:
For non stock items, I am generating material requirement in network with item category.  Based on my project requirement, I am putting requirement date for the material on "General Data" tab of component overview. However, while releasing PO, delivery date for this material will be based on date agreed by vendor.
I need my material requirement date on "General Data" tab of component overview  in network activity to be overwritten by date mentioned in PO.
