  • Looking for CMM Level -5 and onsite openings

    Dear Professionals,
Greetings for the day. Looking for the CMM Level - 5 or onsite oppertunities?
Here are the perfect match to you. So why late Just send us your updated profiles to this Email ID: [email protected]
Also do let us know if any of your friends intrested for this oppertunity.
    Regards,
    Swathi Khivsara.

BTW, I too preferred the Application Manager to EAS...^^^Have you worked with 11.1.2.1? Oracle has made a few, seemingly minor changes that have really made me like it more (and this is coming from a guy that can almost remember every keystroke in AppMan -- I never touched the mouse and was way more productive -- Don't even get me started on Excel 2007+):
    1) Black text on a white background -- or at least dark blue on a white background. When I bounce between 11.1.2.1 in the cloud and the 11.1.1.3 VM I have it's uncanny how much easier it is to read in 11.1.2.1.
    2) HBRs now have REAL tabs instead of those brain-dead spaces they used to put in. Actually, you could tab, but on save, close, and reopen they would revert to spaces. No more. In fact the tabs work BETTER in HBRs than they do in calc scripts.
I guess that's about it, but those were two real pain points for me. The colors make a huge difference in readability. Thank goodness someone in product support looked at a book and noticed the default color scheme.

  • Russian Federation Lync Requirements for Encryption Levels

Anyone know of any Russian Federation restrictions on operating Lync in Russia?  Any concerns on encryption?  Any there any Lync security setting to be aware of for supporting Lync clients in Russia.  Configuration is a Hosted solution with
and Enterprise Pool outside the country of Russia and Clients in Russia.  I can only think of restrictions on Voice where we need local break to the local telco for PSTN.   I am mostly concerned with Russian federation requirements
for lower Encyption levels that Lync 2013 does not support.   Any thoughts??

Im sorry I should have left the word "Federation" out of the questions.  It was confusing.   My question has to do with Encryption Levels running in Russia?  For Encyption do you have to minimize the Encryption Levels in Lync to be
allowed to operation Lync in Russia?  Or is Microsoft a licensed vendor to run full 128 bit encryption in russia?  Anyone know of any limitations of running Lync in Russia?  Do you have to turn off Encryption using the Set CSMediaConfiguration
    cmdlet:
    If the
EncryptionLevel setting in Lync Server (Set-CsMediaConfiguration) is manually configured to
DoNotSupportEncryption then media will not be encrypted (SRTP will not be used).
    Thanks,

I think you have to activate the below workflows in the system which automatically  identifies the number of levels that it should cross.

WS14000134 ---> This Sub workflow determines,  is there any next approver or not?.

  • FMS required for Row Level in Marketing document for Dimensions vs BP

    Dear All,
I need some help in regards to the FMS in SAP Business One. I am trying to use Dimension in the row level of my marketing document. In Dimension 2 and Dimension 3 I have named them as Dimension 2 whose description is Regions and in Dimension 3 whose descrption is Area.
Now in Cost Accounting I have setup the Profit Centers in Dimension 2 Region as under :
    Factor Code  Factor Description
    CD0201         Region 1_Asia
    CD0202         Region 2_Middle East
Also I have setup the Profit Centers in Dimension 3 Area as under :
    Factor Code   Factor Description
    CD0201A       India
    CD0201B       Pakistan
    CD0201C       China
    CD0202A       Syria
    CD0202B       Saudi Arabia
I have created a udf in the Business Partner Header as U_DCostRegion wherein I have set Valid Values for Field as under which the user will put
    Value            Description
    CD0201         Region 1_Asia
    CD0202         Region 2_Middle East
In the Business Business Partner Territory the BP has been defined as per the Dimension 3 Area. In which for e.g C0001 territory is India, C0002 territory is Pakistan and so on
    Now my requirement :
I want that if the user is doing a Sales Quotation or Sales Order from the Sales Quotation then in the Row level Dimensions column of Regions and Area automatically through FMS it should populate the data accordingly as to what is put in the BP master Data. For Example user is doing Sales Quotation for C0001 whose Area ( U_DCostRegion) is set as CD0201 Region 1_Asia and Territory is set as India then automatically in the Sales Quotation row columns of Region and Area values of CD0201 Region 1_Asia and CD0201A India should come.
I think this requirement can be fullfilled by FMS but I am not able to do it from my end. Please advise what should be the FMS for it.
    Regards,
    Depika

    Dear Rahul,
I am able to put the Region from the Business Partner UDF to the document Row of Region column with the FMS as SELECT $[OCRD.U_DCostRegion] as in the U_DCostRegion I had set Valid Values for Field as
    Value    Description
    CD0201 Region 1_Asia
    CD0202 Region 2_Middle East
As in the Dimension in Marketing document it takes the Factor Code e.g CD0201 so I am able to handle it with the above FMS.
But for the Area dimension I am not able to make the FMS because in the marketing document it takes the Factor Code means the Factor Code e.g CD0201A and its not linked to the BP Territory Table of OTER.
I want a FMS which is linked with the OTER Table also as such if in the BP the territory ( avaliable in base product BP > General Tab > Territory ( where its defined as India for BP C0001) should link to CD0201A which is the Factor Code wherein the Factor Description is India.
    please advise in this regard.
    Regards,
    depika

  • Dependent requirements for Top level materials planned in MRP

    Hey Gurus,
A top level material 20350 has a component 30397 and both of these materials are planned in APO.  We have another top level material 30399 (but this material is planned in MRP) and the component 30397 (is planned in APO) will the dependent requirements from material 30399 be populated in APO for material 30397?
    Sincerely,
    Kris

    Kris
As Datta has mentioned the dependent demand will not reflect for the component material in APO. We had the same scenario as yours and this is what we did
We modified the Planned order integration model filter criteria by adding custom logic in the BAdI CIF_INT_MODEL. The logic was to query the BOM tables in R/3 and find out all parents that have SNP relevant materials as components and include these parents in the list of materials for which planned orders are to be CIF'ed from R/3 . The BAdI will be invoked when you run the IM generation .
You also have to CIF the BOM to APO . Once the PDS and planned orders are available in APO , the dependent demand will be created automatically. ( If you do not want to modify the BAdI then you can write a query and identify the parents and add them to the integration model manually)
    Thanks
    Saradha

  • Hands On Course Requirement for OCP Level

    Dear friends,
I'm planning to join in Oracle datawarehouse-related training. Since there's no schedule for "*Oracle Database 11g: Data Warehousing Fundamentals*" yet in my country, I alternatively decide to take "*Oracle Database 11g: OLAP Essentials*".
Based on official info here , I know that course is no longer being scheduled. But I was searching in education.oracle.com and found there's a training schedule on Monday, November 14th, 2011 in Oracle company in my country for that course.
My question is : Is it still eligible to complete my OCP requirement?
Of course if "*Oracle Database 11g: Data Warehousing Fundamentals*" is scheduled before November 14th,2011. I'll take it instead of "*Oracle Database 11g: OLAP Essentials*".
    Need your advice.
    Thank you.

What exactly is "your OCP requirement"?
Perhaps you should get confirmation that the specific course (and maybe course number) is actually going to be held.
You may also want to post a request or show of interest for DW Fundamentals to your local office because they may want to know of potential attendees before they can schedule a course.

  • Purpose of instructor led training requirement for OCP?

What is the purpose of requiring OCP candidates to take an instructor led course? It all seems a bit random / superfluous. Costly too if one does not have an employer willing to pay for the training.
My Oracle Press "OCA/OCP Oracle Database 11g All-in-One Exam Guide" doesn't even hint that classes are a requirement for the OCP; the most said is: "The OCA qualification is based on two examinations; the OCP qualification requires passing a third examination." (pg. XXIX). An incomplete characterization, correct?
And "To prepare for the OCA/OCP examinations, you can attend Oracle University instructor-led training courses, you can study Oracle University online learning material, or you can read this book." (pg. XXIX). Prepare for the exams, sure. But why would such a book omit the not insignificant detail that a perhaps expensive course is required to get the OCP? Seems discourteous to the reader.
    From http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=244#5 via http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=198&p_org_id=&lang=
I say it seems random and superfluous because of the following list:
"These foundation courses meet the Hands On Course Requirement for OCP-Level certification:
    * Oracle Database 11g: Introduction to SQL
    * Oracle Database 11g: Introduction to SQL Ed 1 LVC
    * Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals I
    * Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals l Ed 1 LVC
    * Oracle Database 11g: SQL and PL/SQL Fundamentals
    * Oracle Database 11g: SQL and PL/SQL Fundamentals Ed 1 LVC
    * Oracle Database 11g: Develop PL/SQL Program Units
    * Oracle Database 11g: Administration Workshop I
    * Oracle Database 11g: Administration Workshop I Ed 1.1 LVC
    * Oracle Database 11g: Administration Workshop II
    * Oracle Database 11g: Data Warehousing Fundamentals"
A modest Intro to SQL course will count? But an OCA will already have that knowledge. Obviously, one should choose a course with higher-level content. But I'm not sure I understand the logic of the OCA-grade courses being eligible. And for those funding certification without financial assistance from an employer, the question that suggests is this: what is the least expensive way to satisfy the "instructor led" course requirement? I cheapest price I see from Oracle is a 3 day class costing $1,800. It would also cost 3 days of vacation time, or unpaid leave, if an employer is not supportive of certification.

    Dana N wrote:
Thanks for your thoughtful reply Hans.
TO expose the candidate to techniques related to the new features rather than traditional techniques that are commonplace in the industry. That makes sense to me. But many of us like to tinker with new features on our own.In my experience, many, many more people want the OCP without doing any work. Some will use pure memorization or out and cheating to get there.
It's unfortunate that you and I get penalized by those.
    >
And to ensure that the has had at least some hands-on time, instead of only pure theory. While some people may get hands-on at work, many others do not
have that opportunityh, especially in the are of new features. Then it might make sense for OCP certification to allow submission of proof of work experience in place of the HOC, as is the case with other professional certifications.
    Yes, that would be nice.
But difficult to verify. and you would be surprised how many organizations have very narrow definitions of the job. Experimenting not allowed in some places.
It all seems a bit random / superfluous. Sad, from an instructors and OCP's point of view, to hear you think of it that way.I don't mean to say there isn't anything new any of us couldn't pick up, say, even from an Intro to SQL course. There's a vastness to most technology topics and we can't master every facet. But the cost/benefit ratio may be terribly low for those who are already Oracle professionals with many years of on the job experience. The reality as well is that some instructors are duds--that's the case anywhere. And for my learning style, I prefer self-guided / on-my-own study.
Costly too if one does not have an employer willing to pay for the training. No doubt.
My Oracle Press "OCA/OCP Oracle Database 11g All-in-One Exam Guide" doesn't even hint that classes are a requirement for the OCP; the most said is: "The
OCA qualification is based on two examinations; the OCP qualification requires passing a third examination." (pg. XXIX). An incomplete characterization, correct?A topic to discuss with the authors, and publisher. We (the user community with whom you are talking) have little to no control over this.Wonder if the authors participate in these forums. I realize you, as a user, have no control over this. But a book blessed by Oracle via Oracle Press, I respectfully submit, can and should do better--by including details about the HOC requirement.
Some do. But much more effetive would be to lodge a formal complaint or inquiry.
"These foundation courses meet the Hands On Course Requirement for OCP-Level certification:
...All of which will ensure you have had time becoming acquainted with SQLPLus, DBControl, and perhaps SQLDeveloper.I already use all 3 tools. Would love to take all the courses listed; but I'm not independently wealthy or otherwise.
    So would I. ;-)
As well as logging in (you would be surprised how many OCA candidates do not know how), these all give you an opportunity to issue SQL and PL/SQL
commands. Scary, but seems beside the point. The HOC requirement is one solution to this problem, but it seems like a sub-optimal one. Again, this punishes Oracle professionals already working in the field who'd like to become certified. Why is there no regard for them? One way to correct this, if this is a genuine concern on Oracle's part, is to include a "live" aspect to the exams. Then, if this causes a fail, those who flunk might be interested in taking HOCs to remedy this. In this day and age, I'm certain training could involve interactive SQL*PLUS sessions, etc. Only a failure of imagination and will could prevent I suspect; particularly in a world of virtualization. I'd consider a redesign of exams before I'd require people to pay for classes they may be unable to pay for. It's a bit of an insult to working Oracle professionals who want to add certification.
I agree to some extent. Again, the issue is the consistency in experience. I have met people with 10 years of experience, and others with 10 times 1 year of experience.
A modest Intro to SQL course will count? But an OCA will already have that knowledge. I wish this was consistently true. Then I mispoke. But the HOC still punishes existing Oracle professionals.
I sympathize. I'm an independent, and all exams and certification costs come out of my own (corporate=me) pocket. But life in the professional fast lane is not
cheap. This topic has been the source of some contention for quite some time.
Unfortunately a number of people have been unscrupulous in their method of getting certification - cheating, using gunners, and so on - and I see this as one of
the few ways to combat the issue. If the cheating issue is just left alone, the value of OCP (and any other certification) is effectively lost. The unscrupulous, I'm afraid, will always be with us. This problem is not solved, I'm also afraid, by requiring a costly HOC. It is in my opinion one potential solution of many, and not at all the best one. I wonder how other vendors with certifications handle this. I do know that some industry-generic certifications require proof of X years of work in the field (e.g. GISPs), as well as providing proof of various contributions to the field. This could be gamed as well I suppose. But the honest should not be punished along with the dishonest.Basically I agree with the sentiment. Implementation is the issue.
    >
Bottom line: in my view, a few alternate solutions to the HOC are:
    1) Allow submission of work credentials to substitute for the HOC
    2) Incorporate hands-on aspects to the exam, e.g. a SQL*PLUS simulator.
I'm sure the brilliant minds at Oracle, or a suitable contractor, could easily accomplish #2. And #1 might be a true bar-raiser. It seems highly unlikely to me that, say, requiring an Intro to SQL HOC course raises the bar more than a few millimeters. There have been many discussions around this. Several of us have even considered non-vendor certifications as a route to accomplish this.
It is an imperfect world. But hopefully the steps will correct some of the deficiencies.
I am sure Paul and the rest of the Certification team would be happy to hear more feedback on how to implement practical verifiable real-world experience alternatives to the HOC that do not increase Oracle's costs.
    >
Since both are unlikely to happen any time soon, what is the least expensive option for the HOC and where do I find a list of courses and institutions that offer them? In my view, Oracle should provide this information as a courtesy. No reason not to unless there is a revenue motive; and the author of the blog posts you sent me assures us the addition of the HOC is not a revenue enhancement maneuver. I'd be more inclined to believe it if those words were backed-up with helpful actions like the one I've proposed--since such a thing seems not to exist. All courses and course locations are available through http://education.oracle.com (and have been available for years) as well as the price. Oracle's policy does not allow for much price variation for education. The exception is when bulk purchased are negotiated, which is outside what you and I can talk with them about.

  • Certification Required for India

    Hi All,
Is the certification required for consultant level positions in India.
    Regards,
    M

    Hi Manisha,
Certification is not necessary for consultant positions in India, but if you are certified then this will be an added advantage for you.
Companies doesnot look for certified people only, the first criteria for consultant is how good domain knowledge do you have? Do you have experience in that field or not, if yes then how good you have worked in earlier project. When you have certification then its an added advantage for you than the others who are appearing for the position for interview.
In short certification is not must, but having is always an extra edge over others.

  • Requirement for getting the Inventory at a daily level (Non-cumulatvev KF)

    Hello All,
Kindly provide ur suggesstions on the issue mentioned below:
We require the Inventory data at a daily level. Also we require that the non-cumulatve Key Figures such as 0TOTALSTOCK, etc. be available to us in the BW itself, since this is required for further processing.
PS: Right now we are using RSCRM_BAPI to execute the qurey and store the data into a table, but it fails for non-cumulative keyfigures. Kindly suggest if ther are other ways which can suffice the requirement mentioned above.
    Thank you.

    Hi Kunal,
I've just answered your other post about the same issue. You shouldn't open 3 threads with the same question.
If there is something that is not clear, you can just reply there.

  • High level description of why an Enterprise Admin account is required for DirSync config

    Hi all,
I understand that as part of the Azure AD Sync tool config wizard you are required to enter the credentials of an Enterprise Admin account.  These credentials are required for the creation of the MSOL_AD_Sync service account within the Users OU of Active
Directory.  This account is granted read and synchronization permissions to the local Active Directory.
Is someone able to provide a high-level description of what this actually means i.e exactly which permissions are granted and on which objects.  Are we talking about having to modify the permissions of every single object within Active Directory?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Graham

    Hi,
To start with, I guess you would know that this is a Kind of a Temporary.
I have some details from previous conversations and blogs
Hope this puts some light on your query.
When configuring the Microsoft Online Services Directory Synchronization Tool, you are asked to provide the credentials for an account that has
Enterprise Admin permissions on your organization's local Active Directory directory service. It accepts credentials in either of the following forms:
    [email protected]
    Example\someone
These Enterprise Administrator credentials are not saved. They are erased from the computer's memory after the service account is created.
How the Active Directory Credentials Are Used
The Microsoft Online Services Directory Synchronization Tool Configuration Wizard uses the Enterprise Admin credentials to create the directory
synchronization service account, MSOL_AD_Sync. This service account is created as a domain account with directory replication permissions on your local Active Directory and with a randomly generated complex password that never expires.
    Note:
Changing the password associated with the service account is not recommended.
How the Service Account Is Used
When the directory synchronization service runs, it uses the service account credentials to read from your local Active Directory and write to the
synchronization database. The contents of the synchronization database are written to Microsoft Online Services using the Microsoft Online Services credentials requested on the
Microsoft Online Services Credentialspage of the Microsoft Online Services Directory
    Synchronization Tool Configuration Wizard.
    Note:
If you add a domain to your Active Directory forest, you must run the Microsoft Online Services Directory Synchronization Tool Configuration Wizard
again to add the new domain to the list of domains to be synchronized.

  • ECC patch level requirement for SNC 7.0 eph1

We are running ECC SR3 (w/o ehp) now and want to implement SNC 7.0 eph1.
Is there any official docuemnt to which I can refer regarding ECC hot package level requirement for SNC 7.0 eph1? We definately do NOT want to upgrade ECC patch level during SNC project.
If we must switch back to a lower version, such as SNC 7.0, is there a similar document?
    Thanks in advance.
