(1) Why only SAP BW?
BW supports heterogeneous systems, where as other erp's and sap R/3 supports only homogeneous systems. Performance is also very much good. We can say BW a Decision Support System or Environment. History of data will be nearly 8 to 10ys. It records the data analytically where as the others or just transaction recordings.
(2)Advantages of BW reports
BW reports we can generate on internet, mobile and excel sheets. Where as the other erp's we can generate reports max on excel sheets only.
Its performance is good since, BW concentrates only on reporting.
(3)Multi dimensional analysis of data in BW
Infocubes have a max of 16 dimensions out of which 3 are predefined.
More data will be stored in dimensions,compared to flat structures. We can generate mini cubes(aggregates), specialising particular characteristics.
(4)BW implementation
There are 5 stages in implementation
one is collection of datan or preparation of data
second is identifying the end user (client's) requirements ie., defining the landscape
third is preparation of blue print
fourth is realisation
and last one is testing the entire implementation
Develop evaluation criteria and test plan(testing the entire implementation)

Identify the business requirements with the help of existing documents and business needs.
Basing on the requirements, determine which pre-delivered SD functional areas to be included.
Technical Requirements Planning like frequency of data uploads, events to be triggered (Process chains)

Establish System Landscape and Transport Strategy (Basis).

Set up of the Development environment .
Business Content Check : Finalize a list of pre delivered business content to be activated by functional components, data sources, info cubes, objects, queries, workbook and roles.

  • Deploying only Acrobat XI Pro CC package w/ Enterprise Serial # - Still getting "Sign In Required"

    Downloaded Creative Cloud Packager to create a serialized package of only Acrobat XI Pro.  I further customize the deployment via Adobe Customization Wizard XI, but did not re-enter the serial number (as suggested).  I am able to deploy from the Exceptions folder with the following cmd, msiexec /i "%inst%AcroPro.msi" PATCH="%inst%Updates\AcrobatUpd11006.msp" TRANSFORMS="%inst%Transforms\en_US.mst" /qn.  Upon launching Acrobat, I receive the a pop-up message, "Sign In Required.  Siging in with an Adobe ID and registering Creative Cloud Membership Enterprise is required within 32767 days otherwise it will stop working."  I don't understand why the serial number and Adobe ID I enterred when packaging did not carry over.  Any insight would be appreciated.

  • New to HD Editing and CS, building a PC to suit requirements of HD edit. Experienced help wanted :-)

    Firstly let me say hi and thanks in advance to all that read and assist with my questions
    A Bit about me..
    I have recently acquired the need for video editing at a much higher level with both having a family now (baby daughter) and a very active hobby (rc heli flying at a sponsored level).  With this in mind I bought a HD video camera some time back without the realisation that, to effectively edit such footage requires horsepower!!.... so i have saved up for a new computer and ended up here after much reading on various forums (toms hardware, video guys etc etc).
    Where I am up too....
    I have started by firstly implementing a NAS into my Home network which is primarily used to store and stream media (Gigabit LAN) around the home. It is setup in RAID 5 with 5 x 2TB disks (so about 7TB of storage).  I have done this so there is some backup of photos, movies, home video etc (if I lose a disk , hopefully i will not lose the lot).  I have also acquired adobe Premiere Pro CS 5 and now need a workstation that will allow me to edit in confort ( the one I have will not even run it!! .
    My aim is to store original files and completed work on the NAS (or burn to Bluray etc).
    I am looking at a PC solution, as I can obviously get more horsepower for less $$ than a laptop solution. 
    I have built PC's in the past but not with high frequency and this will be the biggest budget one I will have attempted. I have been researching alot over the last few weeks about sytems and components and found this forum to be very good in dealing with hardware specs and requiremnts in a very proffesional way.
    I am now at the point where I getting a little muddled with which way to go and still have a lot of research to complete.  My approach is to tackle each of the components needed one at a time in a fairly hierarchial manner.
    What the PC will be used for..
    This PC will be used primarily for the video editing and some gaming (when I have time).  AlLso any other horsepower intensive apps if needed (I have a laptop and other comps for general duties).
    Budget
    My budget is fairly rigid at $2500 AUD (so I am not looking at a Zeon solution LOL). The budget is to include:

    Questions
         Motherboard
    I guess my issues with MOBO slection revolve firstly around which chipset to go with Z68 (newer) or the P67?  It seems the Z68 is feature rich, however I also seem to feel that the Quick sync and SRT would be better disabled with what I am setting the machine up for? So therefore what advantage is there with going with Z68 if any? or am I better off getting a more established P67 chipset based board?
    I also see that some boards have the Nvidia NF200 for expanding bandwidth on the restrictive 16 PCIe lanes available on the 1155 socket boards given I am only looking at one decent Graphics card is this a chip I should avoid (as I have read this can cause latency with only one graphics card)?
    Another thing I have noticed is some boards have a PLX PEX8608 chip which seems to manage the limited PCIe lanes better if other cards are plugged in?
    I also see some boards have the Marvell Sata 3 controller on them that does not seem to perform as well as the native Intel Sata 3 controller on the Southbridge in tests.  I guess I have no real idea of when I would be looking at stretching the bandwidth and wonder whether I need to concern myself with 4 x sata 3 connections (2 intel and 2 Marvell)?
    One last question I see there is now MOBO's available with PCIe 3.0 available (even though there are no devices that can utilize it) is this even worth being a consideration or is it not really of any importance to the slection process?
    In summary it appears there is lots of goodies on offer with different chipsets and boards, however I do not want to waste budget on things I have no use for or gimmicks.
         CPU Cooler
    It is my intent to start with the factory supplied Intel bundled cooler and invest the money not spent on this item on better graphics card etc. For moderate Overclocking it seems to perform ok.... am hoping this will be ok?
        HDD Storage
    At this stage I am not up to speed with the exact storage devices I need, I am initially looking at whether my ideas for a storage system have merit? Please bear in mind I am not a CSpro user as of yet and so some of this is just based on research with no base knowledge....?
    1 x ~120Gb SSD                                    for OS and Programs
    1 x ??Gb/TB HDD 7200 rpm                    for Media Projects
    2 x ?? Gb/TB HDD 7200 rpm in raid "0"    for Media Cache and Preview Files
    Will the onboard Raid controller accommadate the above adequately?

    I am looking at Nvidia as far as I can tell so that I may make use of the CUDA threads and as far as type I assume I pick the best one of the approved list (adobe approved list)?  I am still confused ast to whether there is any benefit from a using a twin GPU card, its unclear to me whether the CUDA can tap into both of the GPU's on such a card? Of course budget restraint will come into play here.

    I am looking at 4 x 4gb dual channel Ram cards to give a total of 16Gb total (DDR 3)  as for brands, types and frequencies I have no idea yet and need to cover off some of the above first before my research gets too wide?
         PSU and Case
    I am hoping for a modular device for this, however I was thinking this and the case are a low priority at this stage (until some of the other solutions are verified).
         Blur Ray writer /reader
    With me using my NAS for media streaming I will not be burngin to many Blu ray disks, however I will be reading a few so that I can upload them onto the NAS via this unit.  I have no idea what is a good or bad unit or what to look for in this area?
         Monitor
    I have found some cheap solutions in the 23" sizing for a main screen (~160 AUD) supported by my existing 17' monitor, however is there anything I should be looking for in particular with the monitor I choose?
    I will update each section with what is decided on so that it may help others who are having the same tough decisions to make?
    Even if we just tackle the Motherboard first I would be greatfull...

  • I am locked out of IMAP for want of a password and I don't know what password is required.

    I had an unauthorized attempt to login to my Gmail account which was blocked. Gmail wanted me to change my Google password, which I did. Gmail now works fine, but Thunderbird now asks for:

    1. Put in the new password several times and gets rejected each time, and

I deleted the old password, as well as the new password, that Thunderbird recorded, several times (The only way to change a password saved by the password manager is to delete it, get prompted for the new password the next time it needs it, and then tell it again to save that password. You can delete the password using Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Passwords -> View Saved Passwords by selecting the password and then pressing the Remove button). I have been prompted for the new

                 I have got a requirement to develop a report similiar to 'FBL5N' . I am getting the details of open and cleared items of a customer from BSID and BSAD tables respectively. My requirement is also to fetch the corresponding PO number of the LINE items displayed in the report.
                Can any one suggest how can I fetch PO number with Accounting document number(BSID-BELNR)  or (BSAD-BELNR).

    If you have fields BSID-VBEL2 and BSID-VPOS2 are populated with the sales order, than access VBKD with the Sales Order to get the Customer PO (VBKD-BSTKD)
    Or
    First, You need to get the Billing document. Access BKPF with the BSID-BELNR to get the AWKEY where AWTYP = 'VBRK'
    Now, you can go to SD document flow with the billing document to find out the Sales Document. Access VBKD with the Sales document to get the Customer PO

    With reference to the sales order. we are generating Billing Document.
    But, when I am trying to create "Excise invoice" (J1IIN), it says "Reference document of 12193268 is not delivery document". Error message number is 8I68.
    Kindly clarify whether "Excise invoice" is required for "Services"

    No.  Only if any product physically moves out of a manufacturing industry, an excise invoice is required.  For service, you should levy service tax.

    Hi All,
    Just wondering to see if any of you have encountered the following business requirement and if so how we can address it.
    Business Requirement:
    (1) Distribution Centers(DC Plant) maintains a relationship with the Factory(Production Plant) that can allow for the swapping of planned production of one product with the planned production of another product. This relation can allow for the partial or complete swapping of one unit of planned production with another in the group.
    Example: Product Group1 has 2 products underneath it- Product A and Product B
    n= Current period (Month)
    n+1= Next period.........
    After n+4 periods, the production qty are as follows:
    Prod qty@ Product A = 10
    Prod qty@ Product B = 30
    Hence the Production Qty@ Product Group 1 = 20+20 = 40 ( Aggregation of the prod qty from products to product group level)
    The swap of production can be btw Product A and Product B and should not exceed the total Production Qty for the product group
    Some examples can be:
    Prod qty@ Product A = 15
    Prod qty@ Product B = 25
    Total Prod Qty@ Product group 1= 40
    Prod qty@ Product A = 20
    Prod qty@ Product B = 20
    Total Prod Qty@ Product group 1= 40
    Prod qty@ Product A = 30
    Prod qty@ Product B = 10
    Total Prod Qty@ Product group 1= 40
    etc etc........lot of combinationsu2014The above examples are for understanding the requirement.
    However let us say the business determines a planned % of swap btw the products:

    Then the new Production Qty with the Swap% are as follows:
    Prod qty@ Product A = 10 + (10*10/100) = 11
    Prod qty@ Product B = 30  + ( 30*10/100) = 33
    (2) The other requirement is that the ATP check of the Sales Orders should take into account the Production qty with swap% at the individual product level and also constrain it with the total production qty for the Product group
    Example: Let us say we have a
    SALES ORDER for Product A for Requested Qty=40
    SALES ORDER for Product B for Requested Qty=40
    The confirmation for the above 2 sales orders should be as follows:
    Confirmation for SALES ORDER for Product A =11 qty
    Confirmation for SALES ORDER for Product B =29 Qty
    The total confirmation is still equal to the original production qty for the Product Group= 40 qty

    I dont know what flexibility you have in building the solution - are you looking at a greenfield from-scratch solution or do you already have a ltechnical andscape that you need to work with ?
    If its the former then here is what might work -
    1. Using APO DP, you generate a 'Sales' Forecast (based on statistical models + adjustments). This is a statement of unconstrained independent demand, for the products they actually expect to sell.
    2. Using SNP, you (optionally) check the sales forecast for capacity.
    3. As part of the S&OP process, you make any adjustments in DP to develop a 'Consensus' (and optionally constrained) Demand Plan.
    4. Within DP, in the very near term you disallow any changes to the Consensus Demand Plan ('Frozen' Horizon) since it would be too late for manufacturing to react to changes. In the medium term ('Slushy' horizon), you allow changes only within the Product Group, using the swapping process you describe. Further out (Liquid horizon), you follow steps 1 through 3, with any changes acceptable.
    5. Usng GATP, you can use the same forecast created within step 1 or 4 to limit what can be ordered using Product Allocation.If the products within the product group are interchangeable from a customers perspective, then you can use Rules Based ATP to switch products.

I just finished a project, had saved it, and then had switched over to Adobe Encoder to create a finished flash video (which worked perfectly). I shut down CS4, went home, tried to restart the main project to create a video from the same project (wanted to make an mpeg version as well) and got the following error message:
    Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premier Pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project. Then the system shuts down.
    Not only can I not open the project I was working on, I cannot open any of my prior projects without receiving the same error.
    Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this issue and how to resolve it?
    Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
    By the way, is everyone else having the same amount of problems with this software? I've never had any software that has had so many problems from the beginning. My opinion of this software and Adobe in general has gone down substantially.

    Diagnosis
    The value for field "Pers.No." in the interface to Financial Accounting is an initial value but you are required to make an entry in the field selection for G/L account "504566872" in company code "2275" linked to the field selection for posting key "50".
    Procedure
    It might be an error in the configuration of the G/L account field selection. The initial application, used to call up the interface must otherwise define a value for field "Pers.No.". If this is the case, contact the consultant responsible for the application used to call up the interface or get in contact with SAP directly.
    Please help.

    First of all did you required to post with personnel number or not....if it is not required then goto FS00 enter your GL account 504566872....find Field Staus Group under tab Create/Bank/Interest........then goto t code OBVV and select your field status group then click on field status and select Additional account assignments and check personnel number status and change as per your requirement optional or required.
    If personnel number required then create symbolic a/c with account type Q and assign gl account to this symbolic a/c.

  • Field Refkey-3 is required for G/L--error while posting

    Hi All
    Please suggest for the following.
    When I do posting to Accounting after Payroll, I get one error....'Field RefKey 3 is a required field for G/L account 1000 107020'.
    I have to inform FI every month & they in return change some settings for this. Then it works fine.
    The reason we are getting this error was explained by FI, but we are trying to find out some solution as this setting can not be handed over to Super Users when Consultants leave the project.
    FI reply on this-----'Reference Key-For employee advances, We did Reference key as mandatory field. So while entering transactions against Employee advance GL accounts in FI, we are entering employee number in Reference key field because it is a mandatory field. When we are processing against employee advances in HR payroll, this field is mandatory. So we have to change the settings means we changed that field as optional then we are running the payroll. Instead of moving one request for this setting, We have to post directly in Payroll with out filling up that field.If there is any way to fill some constant in that field while running payroll please guide us.'
    Please suggest if there is any way to achieve the desired result.

    Instead of Ref Key in FI, there is a field for Personnel Number to enter while making transactions.
    We can post to GL Employee Number wise using Characteristic type of Symbolic Account to Q,
    this mean, Employee Number will be displayed in GL fin Personnel Number field.
    So, ask Finance Team, instead of making Ref Key as mandatory, use Personnel Number field.
    So, when you post entries from HR, the results will be posted without any issues.
    But, make sure the entries from HR should always be Credit for this, for Dr. entries no Personnel Number will be displayed.

    iTunes U video files no longer work on my computer since i update to Mavericks. The following message appears on the screen "This movie requires QuickTime, which is not supported by this version of iTunes." I followed a tutorial that suggested to go to Applications/iTunes/Get Info and change to 32 bit. Now my iTunes does not open at all, it says it requires 64 bit. I am a bit confused and disappointed. What should I do to get it fixed? Buy a new MacBook?

    Marcello, I am having the same problem.  When following the advice of many in the community to start iTunes in 32-bit mode, I get the following error after I have done so:
    I am running 10.9.2 on a mac mini. 
    I am hoping this will be fixed or at least a solid answer could be given that iTunes will no longer support certain types of media going foward.
