Requirement Tracking Number in SRM

Hi All,
We have created Req. Tracking No. field on basic data screen of shopping cart, requirement that when user creates shopping cart, system should filled this field with user ID of the user who is creating the shopping cart irrespective on whose behalf shopping cart is being created.
Can you please tell me how to do this.

Thanks for your reply. I already tried this, but when Shopping Cart gets replicated in R/3, the field Req. Tracking No. in PR is getting filled with user WF-BATCH.

I need help from you all. I need a single exit or badi which will trigger before saving any PO or PR while creating.
For PO, it should handle 3 possible cases.
1. Tcode : ME21
2. Tcode : ME21N
3. BAPI function module (Ex: BAPI_PO_CREATE1)
For PR, it should also handle 3 possible cases
1. Tcode : ME51

At runtime, you will get the GUID in the BADI Interface.
Incase this BADI does not help, go for another BADI
1) BBP_SEND_MEDIUM_MODE
(Determines the Default Settings for the Send Medium)
2) 'BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF'.

Authorization object for requirement tracking number

I want authorization object for requirement tracking number in PR ME51N.
I have to make control over User against requirement tracking number that particular user can use this tracking number only while using ME51N.

Check the t code su21 whether your requirement is fullfill or not.
If not make a authorization object with the help of abaper and assign this object to the particular user in their profile.

Requirement Tracking Number - Lower Case Letters

Hi Experts,
Generally, Requirement Tracking Number can be saved as Upper case. But i have an issue that in one PR, Requirement Tracking no was saved as lower case.

Try this code which may be helpful.
DATA : lv_string TYPE string VALUE 'ABCdWE1@#F',
lv_string_temp TYPE string.
lv_string_temp = lv_string.
TRANSLATE lv_string_temp TO UPPER CASE.
IF lv_string_temp = lv_string.
WRITE : / 'All caps'.
ELSE.
WRITE : / 'At least one small letters'.
ENDIF.

In PO item tab this field shown as Reqmt. No (field just before requisitioner )
assuming you have activated this field as optional entry in screen layout for PO in Reference data, item tab for
FSel. ME21N as well as for NBF ( or what ever field selection you assigned to your PO document type) **

Requirement Tracking Number Not Transferring to Backend

SRM 5.0 SP 7 - ECS
We've configured our system to allow users to enter the tracking number withing the Basic Data section of the cart, however when the PO is created in the backend the tracking number details are not transferred.
I assumed that this would be standard functionality but obvisouly it's not.
Any ideas / sample code would be gratefully received.

Requirement Tracking numbers - Lower case Letters

Hi Experts,
Normally Requirement Tracking numbers are saved in both PR and PO as Upper Case Letters eventhough we have entered lower case letters. I have a checked in QA Client, that is true.
But i have a issue that one PR has invalid lower case letters in Requirement Tracking Number.
Can you suggest the various possibilities, that how it will be?? and how can we change?

In wat way it is usefull in PR release and further PO creation
How can we make this as default in PR release

this number is used for the tracking purpose , suppose ur requesting few materials for a perticular machine
so for that u can have a common tracking no for all items
now u create different pos using that PR
now after a year u want to see the POs for the machine then just goto ME2B POs by Requirement Tracking Number
and here u will get list of POs

We created a new company code in system and need to assign new tracking numbers when creating PR to this company code.
Can you please advise where I can find customizing for creating these new tracking no ??? The best would be path in SPRO
Are there any other setting which needs to be customized when want to use PR for new company code??

Selecet ME51N, click Details, you will find Requirement tracking number in Reference data, item selection group.
Mark tracking number as required entry.

Delivery Tracking Number

Hi,
I have the following requirement,
1. The haulage firm RIDER shipping tracking number is maintained in the transaction VL02N in the backend system. Follow the menu path GOTO->HEADER->SHIPMENT. We have a field called BillOfLad ( Bill of Lading ) where the tracking number is placed.
2. Because it is necessary to display the tracking number in the web shop we need to find where the tracking number is stored in the CRM. Based on the tracking number Dealer is routed to RIDERu2019s website to check the details of the delivery.
I am not sure whether the tracking number is maintained in the CRM system or is replicated to the CRM system from ECC.
Any idea guys?

Parcel tracking number

Dear friends,
We have requirement where we need to type in the parcel tracking number in the delivery note. At the moment we are writing it manually on the delivery note.
I have checked in VL02N and there is no field for this.We have thought of alternative like putting this number in text tab, but this would make it searcing process really difficult in case if we want to identify this particular parcel number and delivery related to this.
what could be an ideal solution.

Handling unit,DOCNO,TOtal weight,Frieght cost and Tracking NUmber,,,This data i have to update in THE EWM,,,,Could any body can help me in this,,,,,I know the tables to be updated,,,,
/SCWM/HUHDR-----Is for update -Weight-with the handling unit(HUIDENT),,,,
/SCWM/HU_IDENT----Is for upate the Tracking number (HUIDENT) under the Type "T" with GUI id
and Frieght cost also should be update in the SAME TABLE SAME filed but the TYPE is "R".........Here HANDLING unit,,,and Tracking NUMBER Field names are same but Tracking Number is (Alternative Handling Unit Identification),,,I guess it is clear,,,pls help me in this,,,,

Hello Diogo,
currently there is no EWM-EM connection and Business Process Type available.
Only chance would be that you create the connction by yourself.
But this would require not only create a BPT but also coding for the connection to EM.

we are implementing some tracking number scenario for Purchase order. filed length of tracking number is of 10 digit can it be expandable to 14 to 15 digit ?
