Requirements for import a Elements Catalog

I learned, that a option to import a Elements Catalog appears in the File Menu, if LR find a Elements Catalog on the PC.
But on my System (Win 8.1) it doesn't.
I setup a new system. Not installed PSE 12 anymore, but LR.
Copied the PSE catalog and want to import them in LR.
But the command doesn't appear in the file menu
What have I to do, to force LR showing this item?

As far as I know, Elements must be installed on computer for this menu item to appear. (It may also be that you have to have Elements installed before Lightroom, in other words you may have to uninstall Lightroom first, then install Elements, then install Lightroom)

following is a process for import PO
1)Create Vendor and give Order Currency(USD,JPY Etc) in XK01.
2)Create Material Master and give appropriate Description Because Users shoud Identify Correct Mtrl Or Activate Split valuation.
3)Create Import Purchase order for Import Vendor ( U can create separete Document type and Purchasing group.but not necessary )
4)Mention Duty rates (CVD,Customs,Cess on CVD,cess on Customs,HSC on CVD,HSC on Customs and ADC) and Don't forget to mention Custom Vendor In Duty rates condition type.
5)MIRO Customs Invoice,U can Invoice in Vendor Currency as well as Indian Currency.
6)Recieve the Material Through MIGO,If you Currectly maintaining Customizing of Excise Duties at the Time of MIGO u can take credit for CVD,Cess on CVD,HSC on CVD and ADC and rest of all add to ur material cost.
7)In MIGO u can Capture the Excise invoice and in J1IEX post the Excise invoice.
8)After Recieving the goods and Payment to the Customs raise a Invoice for Main Vendor.

Is TREX required for the customer specific catalog views in SAP ERP E-com

Hi gurus,
I see there are few ramp-up sap notes for enabling the customer specific catalog views of Product catalog in SAP ERP E-commerce scenario.
Any one who has already implemented them know if TREX is mandatory for having catalog views?
specifically for XECOM 5.0 and ECC 6.0

See the first line in the Reasons and Prerequisites:
Important: The catalog views functionality is only available from ISA 4.0 SP4 on, we recommend to use the latest SP. It is also only available with TREX as catalog engine
This is true for recent versions too.
The requirement is behind how the solution is implemented. VIEWS_ID is actually published to TREX for optimized extraction of customer views.

I am trying to import a repository data file with the delivery-channel element
and attributes as below.

I have modified the WLC.dtd present in the lib\dtd subdirectory of the WebLogic
Integration installation directory to add the syncReplyMode attribute.
When i import the xml file,i get the following error

Unable to set state to 'required' for RadioButtonGroupByKey UI element

Hi all,
I'm using RadioButtonGroupByKey UI element that is bounded to a simple type.
Simple type looks like this:
0 -- Sunday
1 -- Monday
2 -- ...
The selectedKey property is bounded to the simple type.
The state property is set to 'required'
Although I'm using a radio button I don't want to set default selection.
I cannot set label for RadioButtonGroupByKey (unlike inputField).
I'm expecting to see a red asterisk near the radio button but I don't.
What else do I need to set in order to see the red asterisk?
I'm using 7.00.14

Avchd files not showing in windows 7 for import to elements

Hi I just bought elements 9. I am using windows 7 and a panasonic lumix g3 camera which records in AVCHD lite.
If I try to to lets load some video files - open the organizer click file> get photos and videos>from files and folders with my sd card in the computer and select and view the files in a folder none of the video files are shown. All the photos files are there JPEG and raw but not the video, no thumbnails, no list, no nothing. the files are there I just cant see them so i cant import them so I can't use Premier elements. I cant find much about this anywhere either and am really hoping someone can help. Ideally I need to see a thumb nail to seletc files. thanks

First, make sure you have the latest version of Quicktime.
Then, instead of using the Organizer to get the video from the camera, set up a Premiere Elements project using the settings for AVCHD Lite 720p60 (720p50 if PAL) and then use Premiere Elements' Get Media/From Flip AVCHD and Hard Disk Camcorder tool to get the video from the camera.

I currently use premiere elements 7 on Vista. I am upgrading my PC; probably windows 7, possibly windows 8. Not sure if I will continue with PE version 7 or upgrade to 11.
Can you tell me what hardware components are the most important to run PE. Cost is a factor. I am trying to decide on the Intel I5-3570 vs. I7-3770 vs. upgrading other components, such as going from 8gb ram to 16gb ram, or upgrading the Intel SSD from 180gb to 240gb.

I've been using PrE10 for 1080p60 AVCHD on a Toshiba laptop for a year. It has an i5, 8 gigs of ram, no graphics card and one slow HDD. It worked.
I wanted a better and still portable video and photo editing machine. Two weeks ago I upgraded to a ASUS "gamer" laptop with a bigger screen, an i7, graphics card, fast HDD, 16 gigs of ram, an SSD and BD burner. PrE11 is installed. I spent the weekend working on a couple videos with the new system. Video editing is now more pleasant.
For the OP's questions, I think the three biggest factors in the new system are the "official" PrE 11 support of 1080p60, the i7 and the large memory. I can't tell if the graphics card is making a difference or not. The SSD seems to help, but I think the large ram is more importat. That said, I'm experimenting with putting the project, with all the assets, in a single temporary work folder on the SSD. To preserve space on the SSD, I move the project folder and contens to the HDD or an external HDD for storage when the project is complete.

How to correctly import PhotoShop Elements catalog?

I have a PhotoShop Elements with >12,000 images. I have keywords assigned and some are rated.
My computer has gone from WinXP to Win7. I have also had several different hard drive upgrades.
I currently have C:, D:, E: as available hard drives and F: and G: as Optical drives.
When I import, it has the correct number of photos, but thinks that everything is on F:. I believe that the E: drive used to be a different volume number previously.
I can manually refind every folder, but that will be very time consuming as I have around 100 folders.
Is there some way to say "Use E: instead of F:"?

Why not backup the PSE catalog and then reimport it into a single drive/folder. then you shoudl have a clean process

HDMI cable required for importing?

I'm using FCE4.
iMac's don't have HDMI inputs. If I use a Canon HV20 and I shoot in HD does that mean that I cannot capture the footage at full quality using a firewire cable?
Does it matter if I use firewire 400 or 800?

What license is required for import/export AcroForms and Submit button

I want to know what kind of license do I need to programmatically interact with AcroForms and AcroFields for a asp.net web application.
I use a third party software (Aspose) to import/export AcroField data value and also dynamically modify some of the fields.
I also want to place a Submit button on the PDF so users can submit field data to a web server with free PDF readers.
Have anyone done this before?

Here are the steps I'm invisioning:
1. The PDF form template is created with Acrobat Pro and Reader Rights is DISABLED.
2. The user logins in to a web page and then clicks on a link to download the PDF template.
3. Before the PDF is streamed to the client browser, the PDF template is modified with Aspose to fill in some personalized user data.
4. User downloads a PDF with his/her data pre-filled.
5. User saves and opens the PDF with PDF reader, fill in some more data and clicks on the Submit button on PDF.
6. Submit button sends all the AcroFields that has data filled in back to a web server.
7. Server processes the data accordingly.
So, will a regular Acrobat Pro license be enough for this use?

Settings required for importing a QT Screen recording into FCP

I have just recorded a screen recording using QT and need to import it into FCP. I have tried, but an error message comes up saying FCP can not read the format. File error 1 - What do I need to do when exporting out of QT so I can import and edit in FCP??

QuickTime Player's Screen recording function makes H264 video clips You can't use those in FCP.
Convert to ProRes LT using either Compressor or MPEG Streamclip.

Import Elements catalog into Lightroom

Hi everybody,
I used PSE on my notebook for a couple of years now. As i bougth a new pc recently I want to upgrade to Photoshop CC / Lightroom. So here is my question:
Is it possible to import my elements catalog into Lightroom including my tags?
I still have got my copy of Elements 11 installed on my notebook, I´ve got a trial copy of PSE 13 on my new pc and already imported my catalog. I also installed Lightroom 5.6 on the pc.
I already looked on the internet but I only found one video which shows the solution I need but on Lightroom 3 and the function used in the video isn´t avalible in 5.6 any more.
If you need any more information please feel free to ask.

Roy, I am 99% certain that importing PSE 7 catalog to LR 2 is not possible at this time. The release cycles of the products did not coincide for that to happen. However you can import from PSE 6 I believe.
I feel sure that this will be addressed soon........... but don't know when.

Import a 2nd Photoshop Elements Catalog into Lightroom 2.1?

Okay Lightroom Gurus ...
On my old computer (Windows XP), I had several Photoshop Elements 5 catalogs, one of which was my main catalog, and the others were photos I hardly ever used. I imported the main catalog into Lightroom 2 just fine and have been running with it ever since.
Then, my old computer crapped out, I bought a new Windows Vista 64 computer, installed Lightroom 2.1, transferred the Lightroom catalog and continued along just fine.
But now, on my new computer, I want to import one of the other Photoshop Elements 5 catalogs (which still exists and still runs in PSE5 on the Vista 64 computer), but the command in Lightroom to do the import seems to have disappeared! I can't find it! Where did it go and how can I get it back? Is this a Vista 64 or Lightroom 2.1 issue (or is it me)?

Unable to import PS Elements 5 catalog

PSE-5 catalog does not appear in the import catalog dialog box. It only has "Choose custom" as an option.
Any ideas?
I went in to File menue and chose "import elements catalog.

Yes, that is the problem. Lightroom does not support psb. It only really supports tiff and psd outside of the raw, jpg, and png formats. Even with tiff and psd, it will not work if your files are more than 65000 pixels on a side, or when the entire file is more than 512 MP.
