Requirements nV Satellite on ASR9k

I have a question regarding requirements for nV Satellite with ASR 9000;
- Does nV Satellite works with RSP2 (RSP-4G)?
- Does nV Satellite works with Trident Line Cards? or only with Typhoon Line Cards?
- Typhoon Line Cards (e.g. Mod80) working with RSP2 true?
- Trident and Typhoon Line Cards can coexist on the same Chassis?
Many, many thanks for clarification

Not having the license is not an issue in terms of satellite functionality, but the license should be bought.
Thanks,

  • Authorization Required in satellite system to create RFC

    Dears,
In Solman 7.0 tcode SMSY i am adding satellite system(ECC6).As while creating RFCs
    SM_<SID>CLNT<client>_READ
    SM_<SID>CLNT<client>_TRUSTED
    SM_<SID>CLNT<client>_TMW
in SMSY it askes for three times satellite system user name and password.
Now Issue is that with what authorization i should enter in satellite system so that RFCs can be created successfully as SAP_ALL can be assigned due to policy.I gave almost all basis tcodes to my user in satellite system but still RFC are generating error.
    Please suggest.
    Deepak

    Hi,
You need to have these authorization objects. Along with your BASIS authorization add the following objects.
    S_RFC
    S_RFCACL
    This should solve your problem.
    Feel free to revert back.

  • What Win 7 drivers are required for Satellite L750

    Excuse me...
I'm a new Toshiba L750 owner. I can see this (huge) drivers' list, but here there ara ALL TOSHIBA's utilities aswell.
I believe, the fellow asked (as I am), which are the NECCESSARY drivers for a good/working new W7x64 instalation. Personally, I don't want ANY of the Toshiba's utilities. All I want is a "fresh" W7x64 instalation and my laptop running fine. That's all...
So, I don't think we need no more than 10-14 drivers, to set-up fine our laptops.
    So, WHICH drivers are needed?

    Fellas, listen to me...
When I bought the L750-1LU last Monday, I almost was one step before... throw it out of my window!
The battery didn't last more than... 1 hr - just fooling around the system/utilities and surfing on the Net, nothing extreme - and my boot time was OVER... 30-40 sec (without installing ANYTHING! I had only the official MSW7 and Toshiba's applications)...
Before... throw it out of my window, I chose to collect all the neccessary drivers from the Net and FORMAT the damn thing, re-install a "fresh" MSW7 and "play" with the power settings...
I did it... the laptop now runs like a charm for OVER 3 hrs, the boot time is about... 10 sec and I don't remember when I needed any Toshiba application and I don't have it installed any more!
I don't need an ECO app, I don't want any "Face ID recognize", or any pop-up message from the MILLIONS I had in few minutes, before I formated the laptop.
The following drivers, are those I chose to install. Please, reply me if I'm good:
    * Atheros LAN-ETHERNET Driver v1.0.0.46_W7x64_TC70095400D
    * Atheros Wireless LAN Driver v9.2.0.206.0.s3264_W7x65_wCAT_TC00346200E

    * TOSHIBA Bluetooth Stack_W7x64_TC00354000J (the system saying is fine, but I notised a "yellow triangle" in "My computer" Devices list. I'm keep trying to update or fix but all messages saying "it's fine")
    * TOSHIBA Realtek Card Reader v.1.0.0.12_W7x64_TC70098500J
    * TOSHIBA Web Camera v1.1.6.3_W7x64_TC30271000C
    * USB3.0 Driver v2.0.32.0_W7x64_TC70102900D
So far, I think the laptop "rocks"... All I need from you is to tell me, if I need any other drivers and if I'll be fine with the 3D GRAPHICS & DOBLY ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY of the laptop (if not, which apps I need to install too)?

  • Satellite Systems - How far back can SolMan 4.0 go ?

    Hi,
Can you please let me know the SAP Note which talks about the BASIS  Release requirements of Satellite Systems, in order for SolMan 4.0 to be connected to them ?
I came across SAP Note 661949 - Solution Manager Component systems with Basis Release 4.6B which mentions a few facts, but I am still not clear.
In other words, if someone would like to make use of SolMan to connect to very old SAP systems (3.1H or I for instance), is it still feasible? If so, does it go by Scenario of SolMan to be implemented.
Is it a case where, for Implementation Scenario, Basis Release 4.6B is required whereas for Service Desk, it can go lower (?)
Any pointers will be gratefully acknowledged.
    Thanks.
    Srini

    Hi Ruben,
Thanks for your reply. I was already in that section, somehow, this information was not very clear from Config Guides since it differed by Scenario.
It confirms the data I have tried to compile from a Config Guide PDF and SAP Note:
Satellite System's Requirements for Implementation scenario, using SolMan 4.0, as of SP15
    Satellite Systems (Basis Release)
    • 4.6C: SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA: SP 56 (SP 58, if ChaRM is required)
    • 4.6D: SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA: SP 29 (SP42, -
    • 6.10: SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA: SP 18 (SP43,  -
    • 6.20: SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA: SP 00 (SP51,  -
    • 6.40: SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA: SP 00 (SP12,  -
    • 7.00: SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA: SP 00 (SP06,  -
Also, for those with SolMan SP below 15, SAP Note 907768 mentions a few other SP levels required in Satellite Systems.
    Many thanks again.
    Best wishes,
    Srini

  • Google maps in israel?

i've had the software upgrape fo a while now, and knew that the maps app didn't show the streets in israel, but i thought that it just didnt have the streets for many small countries. but i was looking a little closer today and realized that there it shows streets just about everywhere, even Lebanon which is even smaller than Israel! does anyone know why Israel is not supported or/and/if how I can somehow get maps to show Israeli streets?

+"Google has agreed to make changes to the resolution of images of sites in Israel, after concerns about security against terrorism surfaced.+
+Photos of sensitive sites in Israel, like military and nuclear facilities, created enough concern that Google has limited resolution of those photos. A report at Israel National News said images of Israel will be reduced to two-meter resolution.+
+If those images were not at two-meter resolution already, Google may have been in violation of federal law. The Kyl-Bingaman amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act of 1997 requires commercial satellite companies to degrade images of Israel to two-meter resolution.+
+The article noted eight sites in Israel appear in Google Earth. Along with Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, images of the nuclear weapons base at Sdot Micha and of the Dimona Nuclear Research Center can be found in the utility.+

  • Playing music & using non-communication functions with international travel

I'd like to be able to play music and access my contact list on my iPhone while traveling internationally, while temporarily disabling the phone, voice mail, and all incoming and outgoing communications. The roaming fees are just too high while out of the U.S.A.
But does this mean sacrificing being able to use the iPhone's music, contact list, and other functions that don't require a satellite signal? Right now, I'm just turning off the phone when out of the country, for fear of excess charges with receiving voice mails and internet data transfers. It seems like a waste that I can't even turn the phone on to listen to music when I'm traveling.

It does not. Simply activate Airplane mode. This will disable the cellular antenna only (you can even reactivate WiFi). Deactivating the cell antenna will prevent all phone calls, text messages and EDGE/3G data usage.
All functionality that does not require cell service will remain active.

  • Re: Satellite L70-A-13E and Win 8: Twain driver for built-in webcam required

    Hi,
My application require TWAIN DRIVER for Web Camera of Satellite L70-A-13E on Windows 8.1.
Would you please tell me how can I get it?
    regards
    Nevzat

The TWAIN driver is a software.
For example you want to take a picture from built-in web camera by using your application.
Your application accesses to web camera via twain driver.
Just like printer driver. With printer driver you can send your documents to printer via printer driver.
With the TWAIN driver you can access to WEB CAM and capture the picture and save the picture image
    yo your application.
Almost all of the external web cameras have TWAIN drivers. Twain driver is become defacto.
I asked the TWAIN driver here because my note book has built-in web camera.
I may access to built-in web camera via TWAIN drivers. Is the any way you know?
I have been using these TWAIN drivers over 20 years in my application.
For getting picture from camera or from scanner.
    Best regards

  • The minimum required hardware drivers for Satellite L755

The minimum required hardware drivers satellite L755 m1du order by installation
Since the installation of all drivers My laptop is too heavy.
And order Installing the drivers do not know .

I guess you’re asking for common, most essential drivers which you would need to install on this Satellite L755 unit…
    Well, in my opinion you need definitely drivers for;
LAN, WLan, chipset, graphic card, touchpad
Other drivers and tools are necessary to control additional notebook devices and features.
If you want to use the notebook with all available and supported features, you should install all drivers and tools available on Toshiba driver website.

  • Roles required to create support message from satellite system

    Hi Team,
I am trying to create support message from satellite system. i have assigned S_RFC and S_RFCACL to the Zrole. Apart from that, is there any other roles to be assined in satelite system to create support message?
    Regards

    I think that's it.
Of course they roles in the central system too: SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_ADMIN and SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE (or copies thereof).

  • Satellite P870 - simple image backup & restore software required

Does anyone know of simple disk imaging software to back up and restore C: drive including the OS and every file.
I used to use BartPE which had the shell of Windows XP on the CD and booted from the CD and allowed an image to be made or restored. It didn't matter if the PC's OS was broken was a simple OS on the CD plus Norton Ghost 8.
My Satellite P870 can only boot from a USB (selected in the BIOS) and I've been unsuccessful getting my BartPE to boot from a USB. Similarly I installed Odin Imaging software but it doesn't boot from the USB either, though I can run it from Explorer (but relies on Windows 8 loading properly).
I also downloaded Paragon Free Data Recovery but it wants to install the program on the laptop. I want a purely portable drive/image copying program.

Firstly, I have to correct where I said the P870 does not boot from the optical drive. Both USB and ODD are options. In the process I managed to create a bootable USB with EaseUS and a bootable CD with Paragon Backup & Data Recovery 2013 (free version). However the laptop would not boot from the USB or CD despite setting USB or ODD at the number 1 position in the BIOS.
The following changes to the BIOS (version 2.30) does cause the laptop to boot from the USB or CD as the case may be, however it is not a permanent solution as the laptop will not boot into Windows even if there is no USB device attached or a CD/DVD in the ODD.
Set Secure Boot to disable. Set Advanced System Configuration Boot Mode to CSM Boot.
When the job is done Boot Mode will need to be put back to UEFI Boot. If there is a better way whereby the settings do not have to constantly be changed, Id be interested but its not important for my needs.
On using EaseUS to back up C: drive, I could not see the 2 partitions I had created from splitting C drive so I put it aside and tried Paragon Backup & Data Recovery 2013 (free version). I had to download the install the program on the laptop and from there, create a bootable CD (or USB).
That all worked smoothly as did running the program.
There is no need to keep the program on the laptop once the bootable USB/CD is created though I have not reviewed it for other useful operations.
The commands are relatively intuitive and the help answered one question I had along the way.
The only confusing thing I found was when restoring the data and being confronted with a string of drives to copy the data back to. Following the process of elimination I chose F drive in my case based on the drive size. The only odd thing was the cursor; each time I touched the track pad with a second finger, the cursor flew to the left or right.
That might be peculiar to the P870 and Windows 8 its pretty much straight out of the box with virtually no software installed by myself (yet).
As for my old BartPE, it caused the blue screen of death twice in succession so it is relegated to use only with my old XP laptop.

  • Re: Satellite U400 - Is a graphic card required to play DVDs?

I have a Toshiba U400 Satellite notebook which has shared graphics with the CPU, not a dedicated graphics card. Will the notebook play DVDs ok without pausing and/or freezing up? I guess the dedicated graphics card assists with DVD playback? I realise that dedicated graphics cards are good for games and necessary to run some demanding games but is the shared graphics more than capable of DVD movie play?
    Look forward to your response,
    Thanks.

    Hi
You can play DVDs using a notebook which was equipped with an simply and common graphic card. You dont need any powerful graphic chips in order to watch DVDs.
Ive got a U400 with an Intel graphic chip and guess what; I can watch movies from HDD, DVD or internet stream!

  • Satellite A200: error message - minimum requirements to install software

    Then there is another problem.
I tried to install it but it shows error:
This computer does not meet a minimum requirements for installing the software. Setup will exit.
Can you please tell me why.
I have already installed new BIOS and OS is Vista.

The Vista needs more computer resources as another Windows OS.
Possibly the OS needs all the computer resources like RAM, etc.. and therefore the 3rd party software cannot be installed.
