Hi, i am using SAP by Design in india. I am trying to get GL entry report in which i require a field "Approved by" but unable to find - please suggest.

    Hi hanmant,
You could find GL Line item report under General ledger WOC => Reports => List=> G/L Line Item Report, but this report does not have filter parameter "Approved by".
May I know what was the use case behind "Approved by" field?

  • Drill in feature in SAP BOBj Design Studio to Webi Report

    Hello Guru's ,
do you know if one can drill in to Webi report from Sap BOBJ design studio ..just like dashboard to webi.
i cant seem to find it anywhere.
P.s: moderator can you move this thread to the right discussion if i posted it in the wrong form.

    Hi Veronika,
First you have to identify what are your variables on the WEBI prompt. If you have created the WEBI report based on a BEX Query, the variable names would be the BEX variable technical names.
Then you just have to add &lsS<VARIABLENAME>=<VALUE> at the end of the URL string.
    For example:
    &lsSENTITY= VALUE
    &lsSTIME = VALUE
    &lsSACCOUNT = VALUE
So the test URL would be: http://servername:8080/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sIDType=CUID&iDocID=Afkcg9PzltNKtz7LEzNGHdY&NAII=N&lsSENTITY=VALUE&lsSTIME=VALUE
    &lsSACCOUNT=VALUE
To get BPC configured you have to follow these steps:
Go to the Administration Client -> Application -> Drill Throughs -> Add Drill Through
Name your new Drill Throug and on the second screen type in:
    URL: http://servername:8080/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sIDType=CUID&iDocID=Afkcg9PzltNKtz7LEzNGHdY&NAII=N
    URL Parameters  //  Mapping Source  //  Property/Value
    lsSENTITY           //  ENTITY                 // ID
    lsSTIME               //  TIME                     //  ID
    lsSACCOUNT      //  ACCOUNT           //  ID
    Hope it helps!

  • SAP MII & Design Studio

Today SAP MII and SBOP Dashboards can be integrated using the MII Connector. Taken into account the roadmap for Dashboards, are there plans to foresee the integration with Design Studio?
    Thanks.
    Best regards,
        Ann

Excellent question Ann, and this is something that we already have coming as part of our MII 15.0 release via the HANA Smart Data Access (SDA) interface to MII 15.0.
    Sam
PS:  Inside of Lumira today there is already a SQL interface to the MII 14.0 and newer releases.

  • Requirements for using SAP Kernel 7.20_EXT, e.g. with ERP 6.0 EhP 6

    Dear community,
we want to bring your attention to the important fact that upcoming SAP product releases and Enhancement Packages, like SAP ERP 6.0 EhP 6 and other members of the BS7i2011 release of SAP Business Suite 7, will use the new 7.20_EXT kernel. As we are using fully supported third party software when building this version of the 7.20 kernel, kernel 7.20_EXT allows us to safely support our customers in the upcoming years. Our updated build environments make SLES 11 Service Pack 1 and RHEL 6 the minimum Linux versions allowing you to run SAP Kernel 7.20_EXT. Please take this prerequisite into account when implementing projects that require or allow you to use SAP Kernel 7.20_EXT.

  • Using BPC with Design Studio 1.4

    Hello,
We have recently upgraded to Design Studio 1.4, and are running BPC NW 10.0. I am trying to create a simple dashboard in Design Studio that will allow for dynamic filtering (based on the selected value of a radio button). Below is the script I have created that would be run on selection of a time period:
    if (RADIOBUTTONGROUP_1.getSelectedValue()=="2014.TOTAL") {
      DS_2.setFilter("/CPMB/RSDIEQ7","HIERARCHY_NODE/\/CPMB\/RSDIEQ7/2014.TOTAL")
I removed the backslashes (in red above) and received a warning message:
Value "HIERARCHY_NODE/CPMB/RSDIEQ7/2014.TOTAL" does not exist for "/CPMB/RSDIEQ7" in connection "cuid:AQV3Qrc3W5lJuDTpLd4PrpU".
    My question -
1 - Is it possible to filter BPC dimensions in Design Studio 1.4?
2 - If it is possible, how do I apply the filter so that the filter value is recognized?
    Thank you for your help!
    Beth

    Hi Beth,
please try "setFilterExt" instead of "setFilter" and it will works.
The syntax should be like this: DS_2.setFilterExt("/CPMB/RSDIEQ7","2014.TOTAL")
    I hope it works.

  • Extension fields in forms using Adobe LiveCycle Designer and SAP Cloud Application Studio.

    Hello everyone,
I am new to using SAP Cloud Application Studio and am currently working on forms.
I have created some extension fields in the dunning letter form message type : FormDunning Notification.
Upon activating, the extension fields do show up in backend form data type structure.
However i am unable to find the fields in the front end form under Form Template Maintenance.
I have tried opening form with open editor as well as downloading template and opening in Adobe LiveCycle Designer .
After creating the data connection in adobe ,the first field (ProjNumDun ) do appear in correct place in data view. But i cant find the rest of the fields.
Any help, guidance and suggestion will be really appriciated.
    Thanking in advance,
    Kamakshi

    Kamakshi,
First, any extension fields added must be explicitly assigned to appear on the forms. Through Front-end Adaptation, this would be via the "Further Usage" link. Within the SDK, you'd right-click the XBO and select "Enhance Forms" (which would take you to the same screen as you'd end up at in through front-end").
You must select "Add Field and Edit..." to actually assign it to the Form Template schema.
Once this step is done, re-download the Form Template, and make sure to reload the Data Connection within LiveCycle. Through there, you should see your fields. You'll likely have to dig for them - they appear at the very end of the child elements.
Note that, while fields added through the front-end have a long string appended to the end (for example, it would appear as "ExtensionField_1234AISU897234HJA" if added via front-end adaptation), the fields added via the SDK do NOT have the suffix (you'll be looking for an element with JUST the field name, i.e. "ExtensionField")

  • SAP Design Studio SDK Editing

    Hi,
I am an SAP BIBO consultant. One month before I started using Design Studio 1.2.
Is there any document that will help in BIAL coding???.
Can anyone please show me from the scratch how I can edit the existing standard components in the Design Studio through SDK. I have tried up the addition of Custom components(Colored Box, Google Maps) in Design Studio. That worked fine. But my issue in modifying or editing existing components. How I can import those standard components to Eclipse and how to start editing???
Also one more thing, please show me from where I can download the UI Development Kit (SAP UI5) for Design Studio 1.2. and how to install the same.
    I am using,
    Eclipse Helios
    JDK 1.6
    Please help me in this........
    Regards,
    Arun Krishnan.G

    Hi Arun,
    In answer to your questions:
    1.  You can learn about BIAL scripting through the following resources:
    Design Studio Application Designer Guide
    Design Studio Tutorials
Getting Started with SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio
    Design Studio e-book
    2.  It is not possible to modify the functionality of the standard Design Studio components via the SDK.  You can however modify the appearance of standard components by applying CSS as shown in this tutorial video.
    3.  You do not need to download the UI5 Development Kit to incorporate UI5 controls into SDK components.  To access a UI5 control you need to develop the component using Handler Type "sapui5".  The approach is described in Section 6 SDK Extensions Using SAPUI5 Controls of the Developer Guide.  You can also download the SDK Templates and Samples which include UI5 examples.
    Regards,
    Mustafa.

  • Design Studio - Dashboards/webi Mobile compatibilty

    Dear friends,
I have got a requirement of deploying few webi reports and Dashboards in mobile devices which could be of IOS/Android/Windows. I got to know about design studio where in we can develop the dashboards and reports and deploy it to any mobile devices(Tablets/Phones). Can you please let me know about the feasibilty of this design studio in accordance with my requirement.

    Thanks,

    Hi GK,
Creating the dashboard which is mobile compatible is very much possible without using design studio. But if your looking for the futuristic then the answer is may be. SAP says that "Design Studio is the future of dashboarding for SAP". Please find the below links to get some fair idea on this.

  • Design Studio Standard Content in HANA Live Package

    Hi,
Is there any documentation available for the list of SAP BO Design Studio Apps (also on how to install/integrate) that comes along with HANA Live Package
Is yes, please point us to the resources.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ram

    Hi,
On BW it does, but I'm afraid on Hana not.  But if it is the same view (copied view, it does)
    . So workarounds:
put everything in one view (if this is possible and is not influencing the perfomancy)
    or use scripting:
            Global script varibale
                 var_vendor string false false
            on startup
                 var_vendor=DS_1.getVariableValueExt("HANA_VARIABLE_VENDOR");
                 APPLICATION.doBackgroundProcessing();
            on background
                 DS_3.setFilterExt("Vendor", var_vendor);

  • Odata services in Design studio 1.2 ?

    Hello All,
I am exploring Design studio at the moment and I know that we can do scripting along with drag and drop functionalities.
But I would like to know if it also possible to consume Odata services or send Odata requests to HANA database to get data back and display on charts or tables and so on.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Sangamesh,
Based on what you've described, I'd say it's most likely you will need to create a Calculation View.  For more general information about using HANA with Design Studio you may find the following posts useful:
