Requisitioner Field in Task List

HI,
Is there any possibility to maintain Purchase Requisitioner Field in the Task LIst?
here this field is Mandatory in PR, i want to run Service Maint.Order Scheduling in Back Ground. and system is showing error.
Pls suggest the best possible solution

I have one suggestion, i know there is no mandatory in requisitioner field in PR, if you want remove mandatory field in PR in OMF2.
This requisitioner field is not mandatary in MM, only this field is used for reports or name ference purpose, so you can change mndatory to optional

User defined fields in task list

What is the significance of adding user defined fields in task list operation?

We have used user fields in task list to capture quantity in terms of nos & its weight for each operation. This we used as a work around to capture the repair jobs quantity & tonnage. While mapping repair of a particular machine with out any reference to material(that is we have not created them as serialised material as in the case of refurbishment) we have created task list for its repair and user wanted to capture the quantity of repair (say how many & also its weight) so we have maintained the tonnage per 1 no in these fields. later when order is being created user selects the task list & changes the quantity field then we have developed report where we calculate the total tonnage of that job & also no of items repaired.

Use of user define field in Task list

Hi,
Please give the solution for the strange requirement of the client as:
My client wants to define the operation for preventive maintenace in two parts like
check temperature : 45 deg celcius.
check temperature should be like operation and rest what he has to check to be defined in other field i.e. both should not be together.
so i find the solution as user defined fields in the task list where i can define this second parameter.
But the problem is that system is not proposing this second field in the preventive order, only operation field is proposed.
Please suggest some solution, how can this requirement can be mapped.

Both operations of the inspection lot will need to be completed at some point. They are in the same lot so they belong together. Both operations should be available to the user. (Unless you used workcenters and security to limit users to specific workcenters).
Once set up, it will only be available to new inspection lots. Few things in SAP are retroactive.

Above link to add field in task form but if you want to create lookup column so modify your form in infopath. Then add field to get emp name from emp list

External Identification field in Task List

I need to activate the External Identification ( TL EXTID ) field in the Task list..
Could anyone assist me how to activate this 40 character field ? Is there any enhancement which requires activation of this field..

How to fin the Workcenter after getting Task list type

Hi all ,
I got the fields PLNTY(Task List Type ) , PLNNR(Key for Task List Group) , ZAEHL(Internal counter ) and VORNR (Operation/Activity Number) from PLPO table .
I need to get the work centers names . I saw the work centers are in CRHD table .
May i know how to get the name of the work centers after getting the task list type details .
I found the routing details of a give finished/semi finished material .
my next step is to find the work centers.
Any suggetions from you are appreciated .

Yes, sa38 makes it possible indeed to execute in background into immediate mode a job but
the user have to know the name of the program to be carried out ...
The user knows only the name of these transactions trade. For example, IW38.
In the menu of this transaction, SAP gives the possibility to execute in background :
Program --> Execute in Background --> display of Start Time screen for the type of start condition :
Immediate, Date/Time, After job, After event, or At operation mode).
It is at this time there that we want that the user can only choose the "immediate" mode.
We must thus prohibit the other choices (Date/Time, After job, After event, or At operation mode) ... and
and we don't know how to restrict these other options in this screen "Start Time screen for the type of start condition".

Validation setting in task list

Hi
I have Project Manager and Project Approver fields in task list. I want to add validation so that Project Approver = Project Manager. Other wise user should not able to save the record.
When I go to Validation settings, I don't see Project Manager and Project Approvers in the column list. Can anyone give suggestions on this?

It looks like the fields Project Manager and Approver Manager are Person type fields. These fields are not listed in List validation column settings. An alternative for you is to override SharePoint JavaScript function "PreSaveAction". You can
use JavaScript code to comapre the values in these two fields and perform validation.

As you know task list is ued for easy uplaoding of operation and materials ,in tak list you can maintain internal and external operation ,hence for both the operation you will give the appropiate necessary fields.like for PM02 you will assingn the purchasing grp,cost element,material grp

Need 2 metadata fields from item I am running a approval workflow on to show up on the task list

I have document library "A" that contains many documents with 6 columns of metadata. I have a simple approval workflow for the library that works as it should in functionality. My users would like it if 2 fields of metadata from the items in library
"A" would show up in the Task list so they could track the tasks by the 2 fields. Can anyone point me in the right direction here to make this happen? Working in SP2010 with Designer 2010 and IP 2010.

Hi Ross,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to display two managed metadata fields in the associated tasks created in the approval workflow.
I recommend to edit the approval workflow in SharePoint Designer and new two task fields to display the two managed metadata fields.
Here are the detailed steps:
Open the approval workflow in SharePoint Designer and click Approval in Start Approval Process step.
Click New to create two task form fields in single line of text type.
Click Change the behavior of a single task under Customization.
In Before a Task is Assigned step, select Set Task Field under Task Behavior Actions and then set the newly created task form fields to get the values in the managed metadata fields of current item.
Please refer to the picture below(create a task form field called Managed Metadata for example and mm is the managed metadata column in the list):

Have to add a popup list containing the list of employee vendors in the requisitioner field of Purchase Requisitioner. As client is in need of adding the employee vendor list so that it will be easier for them to locate the correct employee for whom the material to be ordered.

Setting Profile Value as default in Task List Initial Screen Profile Field

I have created a profile for enabling Network Graphic view for operation relationship in PM task list. Whenever i want to create task list i have to enter profile in initial screen to activate Network Graphic view. Can this profile be set as default, i mean whenever i create task list, profile field be filled automatically with predefined value instead of entering profile every time ?

Yes, you can default this Profile name by use of PIDs
Not at a system right now - can anyone help with the PID name??

Additional User Defined field in Maintenance Task List

I wan to add an additional field user field in Maintenance Task List.
I know It is possible in User Fields.
But I an not able added user field to Operations that are already there in the maintenance plan.
The system is allowing me to Add field in New Operations that I am adding the the Task List.

Hi,
If I am correct, It is not possible to add user fileds to the operations in the maintenance plan which was copied from the tasklist which is there in the maintenance plan.
if you required these user fileds goto to change mode in maintenance plan and remove the task list in plan and do necessary changes in the task list and add to plan again. After that you can get userfileds in the opeations as u required with was generated now onwards. It is not possible for the past ones.

Make a field Unchangeble in Task List

Hi Friends,
Can anybody help in making the field RIHSTPX-MEINS (which is basiccaly the component Unit of Measure field ) in the Component page of a Task List.The Issue here is that the users are able to change the UOM value and can be modified.My clinet wants to make these unchangeble once created.
Please help with your suggestions

your requirement is when use enters say 8 it will be hours only H
suppose the work is 4 days
currently if he puts 4 days system will conver into H as 96 H & entry will be made without any error
your Agenda is he should not select days at all if he want to enter work for 4 days
he will conver as 96 H
is the requirment is like this or something other please let us know
