I want to use retro pay setup how I can prevent not include the old change of date tracked in retropay now retro pay work start from today

Hi,
RetroPay by Element will not pick all the changes. First you check whether your Localization can avail this process.
Refer : What Localizations support RetroPay by Element and RetroPay Enhanced (Article 1118267.1)
If you have this process available then go and setup Retropay by Element, refer : Retropay By Element (Article ID:232571.1).

Fellow boarders,
1. I am trying to run "Retro Pay by Element" for saudi localisation.
2. While trying to define reto-pay elements, the button "retro components" is greyed out (Elements>Processing>Recalculation Tab)
3. As per metalink note 743215.1, i try to run conc program "Generic Upgrade Mechanism" to enable the Retro Components Button In Recalculation Tab
however this program does not pick up any parameters from the list.
4, when I run the query
select * from pay_legislation_rules where
rule_type like '%RETRO%';
it shows me the data for Us, Canada & mexico only.
Does that mean that retro-Pay is not enabled for any other legislation other than these 3 countries ...?
If no, then how do I configure retro-pay for saudi localisation.
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The "Retro Components" button on the Element screen would be enabled only if the "Enhanced Retropay" is enabled. Considering the fact that the Recalculation Tab is enabled (As you can go to the Tab where Retro Components button is present), you can use the Retropay by Element solution by attaching the Retro Element to the element.

How much would you pay for Elements 9?

Knowing all the issues/bugs with the latest release, how much would you willing to pay for Adobe Premiere Elements, version 9? In other words, what is the FAIR market value of this release?

I don't think it's worth $100...unless it came with your book in a bundle and some raw stock footage .
I recentlyy tried PowerDirector 8 ultra and the only thing that stopped me from buying a full version was the time I invested in learning Adobe software. If I was to start video editing today, I would probably go with PowerDirector. That thing was flying on my machine and had .mkv file support...fully optimized for Intel Core i7, NVIDIA CUDA, and ATI Stream technology!
After trying version 9, I felt that Elements 9 was left forgotten in the shadow of its big brother - Premiere CS5, which is fully optimized for 64 bit OS! The version 9 is stack in times...of 2008/2009 years, and definitely not 2010/2011!

Hide Zero pay value elements in payslip

I thought this was standard feature under Business Group Information, but cant find it now.
How do you hide the zero pay value (payment/deduction) elements in standadr UK Payslip?

Do you mean online payslip ? (that is the only one supported :) )
As far as I'm aware, there is no such default behavior.
The only thing which is seeded for a legislation is RR_SPARSE in pay_legislation_rules, which supresses all null/zero values in run_results.
Other than that, the only way I see is have a condition on the RTF template not to pick up zero values.
We've built a custom payslip report based on the seeded function -

Retro Pay

Assume an employee gets paid 1,500 for August.
Now payroll comes to know that his salary is actually 2,000 and not 1,500.
The following are the steps required to be performed.
1. Define a new element which can be used to pay the Retro amount
2. Make sure that this element is Non-recurring and Multiple Entries allowed.
3. Attach this Element to the retro tab of the Salary element
4. Define the Assignment Set - An assignment set needs to be defined with the affected Employees
5. Element Set - define with the Salary element (Don't include the Retro Element. Error while submitting the Concurrent Request) .
6. Now run the Process Retro Pay by Element with the following parameters
a. Effective Start Date: This is the date from which we want to compute the difference
b. Effective End Date: A date in the latest Pay Period. The retro entries get created in this period.
c. Assignment Set: The Assignment Set we created
d. Element Set: The element set we created
e. Submit the request.
Question that where we have to define the changed amount on retro element or the main salary element and what amount only difference or complete 2000 have to put into input value of retro.. ?

Hi,
The steps you have given are the setup steps needed for Retropay process to work. Once the setup is done it will process the previous pay periods based on the input parameters to the process and generate the retro element entries for the assignments.
The change in amount should be updated for the employee in the element entry screen with a correct effective start date before running the retropay process.

Adobe photoshop element and premier element 12

Hello, I did pay online element 12, photo editor and film editor, started the dowloading through akamai, supposed to be done but finally nothing. my computer is a OSX version 10.9.1 2.8 GHz intel core i7, 4gb 1333 mhz ddr3.
Also i bought first the programs in France, but lost the license number, didn t knoz that i needed one... lost while traveling. I used the program as trial for 24 days and then I decided to purchase element a second time.... I have put myself twice in trouble.
Any one can help me?

Whether on my iphone or my ipad, my settings panel looks nothing like the photos posted here. There is no option to upgrade. What do I do?

Users who were paying for Elements Plus or Photoshop.com paid storage were issued a refund for the rest of the year and given a free year of Revel. (Elements Plus members also got a free upgrade to Elements 11).
Don't worry about your photos. If you do not renew and your premium subscription runs out, you just default to the free scheme, which leaves everything that you have in place alone, but just limites the uploads to 50 a month moving forward.
So, go enjoy your free subscription and make user of your unlimited uploads!

Elements does not process in the Payroll run

We are trying to process 3 elements that have been defined in an Element Set for the employees that are present in the Assignment Set with Amendment set to 'INCLUDE'.
If i manually attach the elements to the employee and run a Quick pay then system computes the figures using the fast formula.
But strange enough when i run a Payroll Run process using following navigation :
View >Requests > Submit a New Request >Single Request >Ok> Payroll Run
With selecting my parameters for:
Payroll
Consolidation Set
Pay Period
Element Set
Assignment Set
Run Type
I am getting values as 0.00
i am totally shocked what is happening???
pls assist

I know why it is so...
its because i was using ASG_RUN balance to compute the Allowance.

Elements don't appear after running Retropay

Hi friends,
I have an issue regarding the Retro pay( in 11.5.9). When i run the retro pay the element entries are not getting created in the current payroll period.
Here are the steps i did
1> Created a new non-recurring element "Spl Allowance Retro"
2> Created the input values Start Date, End Date, Pay Value and checked the indirect result, multiple entries
3> Created the element link for this element "Spl Allowance Retro"
4> Now added this element "Spl Allowance Retro" to the original element("Spl Allowance") in the Recalculation tab.
5> Created a Retro element set. Added the original element ("Spl Allowance") to that element set.
6> Created a new elment entry with the original element in the previous month (in march) for employee 9999.
7> Ran the retro pay with the assignment set(this assignment set contains the employee for whom the element entry is created in step 6,9999), element set(created in step 5), start date 01-mar-2010, end-date 30-apr-2010.
8> checked the entries for the employee in april. this does not appear.
I assume when we run the retro pay the element entries should be created in the april month for the ones which are not processed in march. Please note a new element entry is created in march and not updated.
can you please tell me if i am missing any step here.

The Retro element should not have "Indirect result" flag checked. If an element is marked as Indirect result, element entry can not be created using that element. When Retropay is run, the process creates Element entries using the Retro elements. Since the retro element is marked as Indirect result, Retro entries were not created.

Need some guidance and confirmation on retro pay steps
I have tried to run retro pay.
I followed setting up Retro Pay notifications Report document first as it was given in user guide. After that i setup retro pay by element.
here are the steps.
1. I introduced and employee on 1 jan 2009 and gave him cola allowance (Rs 100) with rest of the allowances and salary.
2. I run payroll for Jan 2009.
3. I run payroll for Feb 2009.
4. In March i decided to change the amount of Cola allowance from Rs. 100 to 200. so started to setup retropay.
5. I created an element for cola_allow_arrears.
6. I linked the element with employee to whom i require to give arrears.
7. I created balance for this element name MJ_cola_arrears_balance with its dimension and Feed. (Add).
8. I defined Retropay Set.
9. I defined Assignment set including employee who is being given the arrears.
10. I date tracked from Mar to 01-jan-2009 and change Cola allowance value from Rs. 100 to 200 in element entry form of that employee and saved the record.
11. I run Retropay request with date parameters stared from 01-jan-2009 to 31-mar-2009. and request run successfully.
12. I tried to look out put but it did not give any out put to me
13. I looked Log file and showed successfull request and counts.
14. Now I run the payroll for the month of March. It run the payroll successfully but did not show any arrears as i did not selected arrears element of Cola allowance.
First are my steps correct..?
How and where can we confirm the changes of arrears..?

I have checked the Income tax balance that adds up the earnings elements in the feeds now in that i came to see the Earnings called COLA that shows the equivalent figure. But this Earning was only eligible up to June 09 and the retro has ran for Jan 09 to June which means in July09 there should be no COLA allowance...i am a bit confused.
Please help.

Routing data to multiple business services in ALSB

Hi,
I have a jms based proxy which receives xml type message.This proxy subscribes to a topic and based on jms header,control is transferred to appropriate branch in conditional branch.
One of the branches receive this message and contents are given to 2 different xquery transformations.Output of these transformations are required to be given to 2 different wsdl based business service.
The entire configuration is inside a pipeline pair.Since its not possible to have 2 route nodes,I have configured a stage and used 2 publish actions.Inside each of these publish actions,I have configured replace action.
This configuration doesn't seem to invoke either of the service. I am not able to use Routing Table as both services have to be invoked everytime and there is no condition to specify.
How do I invoke 2 different business services with data passed to these 2 services being different?

Form personalization requirement

Hi All,
I have a requirement where we need to throw error (or disable delete option) message if a user tries to delete a particular element (loan) which has been processed once either in regular payroll run or quick pay. (in element entries screen: Assignment window --> Entries)
This might be possible through user hook but at the moment we are looking to achieve this through from personalization. Any help in this regard will be much appreciated.

In Actions it should be DELETE_ALLOWED and not UPDATE_ALLOWED property.
Type : property
Object type: Block
Target Object : ENTRY
Property Name : DELETE_ALLOWED
Value : FALSE
And Also once it worked, You need to create one more sequence to Reset DELETE_ALLOWED Property to TRUE, As once disabled it will remain like that.

Value : TRUE
PS: Also close the Element entry form and re open before testing the issue.
