I no longer have access to my rescue email and cannot remember my security question answers. How on earth do I access my account?

Not without correctly guessing them. If you make too many incorrect guesses for the security answers, you'll get locked out.

Unfortunately at this moment you can't. Apple emplyee(s) inadvertantly assisted someone to hack the Apple ID accounts of others and Apple has placed a moritorium on resetting accounts until Apple has security in place to prevent this occurring again.
Write iTunes/Mac App Store Support and perhaps they can tell you when to axpect help to reset your account.

We are fellow users here on thee public forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
If you don't know your security questions nor your rescue email address (you won't be view/change it add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

You might be able to re-enable your account via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it
For your security questions, if you don't have a rescue email address, or you don't have access to the email account, then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

The reset link will only send reset info to your rescue email address, an alternate email address is not used for account security. If you don't know what your rescue email address is (you won't be able to view/change it until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.
