Rescue mode for zen nano pl

Is there a rescue/recovery mode for the zen nano plus?

I doubt it, as it's basically a revised MuVo N200. Some of the MuVo's have a special mode you can put them in for updating the firmware, but as there is no firmware available for the Zen Nano yet there's no point in using it.

Perfect Headphones for Zen Nano P

I love my new Zen Nano Plus. The only thing I did not about it were the headphones they came with. The sound was tinny and they are very uncomfortable to wear. I just bought the perfect headphones for this player. The company is called Koss the they headphones are called Sparkplugs. They go in the ear and the cushion custom molds to your ear shape. They are very comfortable and the sound is amazing. They are only around $20.
I recommend them highly!

Sony also makes some great headphones too! Got my girlfriend some for her 52mb Zneno Nano Plus. When I went to Fry's Electronics, they literally had 75-00 different headphones ranging from $5 to $200. I sure was overwhelmed, but she got what she liked and is very pleased. I heard Sony was one of the btter ones, but it can really be hard to tell!

Headphones for Zen Nano P

Hello,?As it is not specified in its description page, I was wandering if normal headphones could be used for the Zen Nano Plus Mp3 Player, rather than the normal earphones. I'm talking of any headphones or earphones rather than those sold with the Mp3. The answer is probably quite obvious but as nothing was really specified, I keep wandering and I really don't want to end up having to use only earphones... ^^?Thank you for your help !

You can use any headphones with a 3.5mm stereo plug on the end, ideally ones with an impedance of 32 Ohms which is the same as the originals. 6 Ohm impedance 'phones/plugs will work but may sound quieter. There are a lot of threads where different 'phones are recommended. PB

PlaysForSure Firmware upgrade for Zen Nano/Nano P

i think that it would be absolutely awesome if us nano/nano plus owners could listen to the suscription service music like Yahoo Music Unlimited and Napster to go. I want creative to come out with a firmware upgrade for the nano to make this possible. If you want this firmware upgrade, please sign.

Sleep mode for Zen Mi

It will be great if in the next firmware update for the Zen Micro player a sleep mode function is implemented, so we can use it with the radio and also in the recording mode, and specify the recording time in 30 min interval, for example.

All I really want is a firmware upgrade that allows you to have your player completely shutoff when you turn it off. Even with the 4 hour sleep mode my battery still needs to be recharged quite often.

Quality of line-in recording for zen nano p

how good is the line-in rec for ZenNP? is there any background disturbance? most of my songs are on tapes. so if i encode them, will it sound the same as playing it in my walkman?

Put the audio CD into your PC and rip the CD to wma or mp3 files using Windows Media Player. PB

Broken battery cover for Zen Nano P

Riding in the car, playing w Nano Plus, the thing slipped and swung maybe 3 inches, and cracked off the little appendage of the battery cover that slips inside and keeps the battery cover from sliding off. Can I buy a new one someplace, or am I relegated tothe world of Duct Tape?

I happen to agree with abh5. The design of this mp3 player is a JOKE!!!
The battery cover breaks off when you least expect it, and it's so small, you don't feel it, so there's no telling where the cover lands. Going thru Creative is a JOKE! I already got a free battery cover replacement, but within a month, THAT?broke as well! I contacted Creative, and they said it's going to cost this time. Now, I'm expected to pay approximately $20 to get another cover (with shipping)! I told them that this is NOT an uncommon problem, and directed them to several different sites that discuss this problem (with still no solution), and that's where the conversation ended. I REALLY wish I hadn't bought this one. I guess I should have done my research, but I purchased it when it first came out, so it wouldn't have done any good. What a joke! Stay away from this product, unless you want to lose battery covers and batteries over and over. That becomes expensi've, especially if you are taking the economical way and using rechargable batteries! STAY AWAY! AVOID!

Zen NANO Plus doesn't switch more than 2 songs

Hi i have a problem with my new Zen nano plus mp3-player...
I can only switch 2 songs. If i switch to the thrid song the player automaticly shut down.
In the config menue i can switch as long as i want and the player doesn't shut down.
I formated the player in FAT32 and in FAT - System but it doesn't work acctually (Fastformatation).
And: If i wanna call the German Service hotline (+353 4380000) i only reach an private guy. I tipped in my telephon: 353 4380000 <-- is it right? Or are there any numbers before the "+" ?

Creative Zen Nano 1GB - Firmw

I am using creative zen nano GB player. In downloads sections i can't abt to find the firmware for "zen nano GB". Can any one tell where we can get firmware for "Zen Nano GB" firmware. Thanks in advance. Bala

The Nano Plus works fine with AAA nimh rechargeable batteries. The great thing about a player that uses a AAA battery is that AAA nimh rechargeables are inexpensi've, and most chargers will charge up to 4 batteries at a time. A charger and 4 AAA nimh batteries is only around $20. When a battery runs out of power just replace it with a charged one. If someone has a player with a built in battery, then when the battery power is exhausted, they can't listen to music until the player is recharged.

Zen Nano Plus showing Probl

I am using Zen Nano plus. Somedays back I found it is not showing any of the mp3 files in it addtioanally some picture files also not able see.
But when I try to see the memory consumed it is showing as if those files are still there. I can't play any music as it is saying a error no music file found. But memory is consumed by those file.
Then I tried to re-install the firmware to get rid of all this issue, but I found the following error.
"Sorry, no Creative updates are available for ZenNanoPlus_PCFW_LF__2_03.exe."
1.Can anyone tell me the link where I can find latest
Firmware for Zen Nano plus.
2. And how to get rid of above problem?
Please let me know if you need more information regarding the problem.

The firmware ZenNanoPlus_PCFW_LF__2_03.exe isn't available at the download site anymore as it's being replaced with a newer version.
You should go to the download page and choose the player you have from the category list and get the firmware there.
What's the website URL that you have mention there's no Zen Nano Plus listing in the category?

Cannot exit rescue mode vl.13 on zen xtra

when i turn it on it goes to rescue mode and when i click cleanup it does nothing, when i push format all it says hardisk problem and it does the same for reload OS. Did you read the?BEFORE you post, READ THIS FIRST (FAQ) post? If so you would have seen the link here to the Zen FAQ at Nomadness.net.
You can try the advice there at your OWN RISK. If this doesn't help, or you don't want to try this advice are you under warranty? If so, contact Creative Support and get the player repaired.
If you're not under warranty you can try repairing the player yourself, assuming the hard disk is faulty. There's?Rudi Cheow's excellent guide on how to replace the hard disk (albeit for the earlier Zen, but the Xtra is very similar) and a thread?here on compatible replacement hard dri'ves.

Zen Micro hangs up both in rescue mode and normal m

I've had my Zen Micro for about 2 months now but all of a sudden it just didn't want to start up at all (It came to the CREATIVE screen and then just stopped). Not knowing about any rescue mode, I decided to send it back to where I bought it. I got it back a few weeks later, with the message that I had to manually update firmware again but I didn't really know how I could since it wouldn't even be recognized in windows. I then came here and saw that there was this cool Rescue Mode thing. I started it up and just decided to format it all. I looked at it after 0 minutes but it was still saying "Formating all". Waited a few hours, same thing. Then I went to bed. When I woke up, the screen was blank and I thought it was done but it had just ran out of batteries. So I plugged it in and tried to start it up, but same thing with the creative screen. Then I decided to go into the rescue mode (again) and try to do the reload firmware. It have been standing at "Erasing firmware" for about 3 hours now and nothing has happened.
Should I just return it's

upgrade.
Once you had plugged in the player, execute the firmware. Click on the
'upgrade' button to proceed with the process.
Once the process is done, the Zen Micro screen will prompt that it is
going to restart the player. Do not close the dialog or disconnect the
player form your system!
Upon player start-up, the dialog on the monitor screen will prompt you
that 'Firmware upgrade completed'. Select the close button.
Disconnect the player from your PC system and start up the player and

unfortunately, i was not able to try the solution they suggested cause i decided to return my unit to the shop, and it was replaced after diagnosing that it was a factory defect.

Zen Micro is frozen, Rescue mode not availa

Aurgh. I've had my Zen Micro since October, and it's worked well up until today. I went to power it on and it would boot up just to the Zen Micro splash screen, where it stayed. I couldn't power it off using the power button so I took the battery out several times. Each time I put it back the Micro would boot to the Zen Micro screen, but wouldn't go any further. Finally, I read how to put the player in Rescue Mode. When I boot up after taking the battery out and with the power button held, it does the exact same thing. No Rescue Mode is available, no other menu comes up.
Any ideas on how to resolve? I really don't want to send this back to Creative for repair.

Not sure if this is even possible (if it won't start up under any circumstance), but have you tried updating to the newest firmware?

Creative Zen Nano Plus Media Explorer only works for administra

Creative Zen Nano Plus Media Explorer only works for the administrator account; for other users the message "The Zen Nano Plus is not connected. Please connect your Zen Nano Plus to the computer." is displayed, but it *is* connected and works under other programs.
Version is .0.03.

How exactly do you do this? I checked this out tonight - when I logged onto my PC using my son's Limited User account (XP Home, BTW) I could connect his N200 and see it in Device Manager and Windows Explorer but both Creative pieces of software (CMS and N200 Media Explorer) did not see that it was there!
I tried setting the Run As... properties for the CTMS.exe file to run as one of the Admin user accounts but kept getting an error about being unable to find a specific file (which is in the Media Explorer folder!). When I went back to using the current user the error stopped. Perhaps I need to set the Run As.. options on that file as well?
As we don't use DRM'd music this isn't going to be a problem but it would be good to find out the cause of this once and for all.
I'm going to see if WMP0 has problems as well or if it's just the Creative ap
