Reservation issue

Dear all,
When I create reservation using T. code MB21 & Mov. Type: 202 we use to enter input parameter Material, Quantity in , UnE, plant , SLoc & Batch number.
But here I have have been facing one problem which is created due to acceptance of any Batch Number (not available in system) entered at Batch field. Due to this new Batch number gets generated. Neither system restricts entry of new Batch.
So can i restrict the Batch number creation by T.Code: MB21 and Mvt type 202.

I already made the below settings but the batch num still accepted.
1) SPRO-LO General-batch managemnt-creation of new batch-Define bacth creation for goods movement for movement type 202 - No Batch Creation.
2) SPRO-LO General-batch managemnt-creation of new batch-Define bacth creation for Material Types.
We have resttict the Manual Batch Creation.
But both above settings doesn't works and new Batch gets created if user inputs the any new Batch no in Batch Field.System doesn't prompt any msg during this Batch Creation.

MRP and Reservation issue

Dear Gurus,
Our scenario for chemical industry is MTS with strategy 10.
After MRP run for material 15 Planned orders are generated. After converting planned orders to Process orders are generated on same day 05/01/2012.
But actual production starts earlier on 25/12/2011 when process order date changed to 25/12/2011 and try to do batch determination error occurs as Material not available on 25/12/2011,though enough stock exists.
After TECO (all other 14 process orders) this allow process order to do Batch determination.
Why this error occurs ?

The issue is in ATP logic. Please check of you have comsidered the reservation in ATP and also the pal orders and production orders as welll.

Cycle Count Reservation Issue in Item Supply/Demand Form

Hi
Few of the inventory items are stuck with Cycle Count Reservation in Item Supply/Demand Form. The Identifier field is empty. It is not tied to any sales order or PO . I checked the On hand quantity(on-hand quantity form) and the current on hand (Item Supply/Demand form) both are same. Could not able to figureout what went wrong and how the cycle count reservations are created. Even after performing the Cycle counting on these items, it did not consumed these reservations and releaved those reservations.
Could anyone suggest me please in what scenrios we get this issue and how to eliminate these records from the Item Supply/Demand Form. we are on 11.5.10.2 INV and WMS RUP4.

CC reservations can be triggered by Curtail (Short) picks on mobile gun. When this happens the ATR qty gets decremented by this Qty by putting a CC reservation.
This can also be deleted from front end by changing the demand source to acc/acc alias, save and then delete.

WRT350N access using telnet, fixing DHCP reservation issue

Got my WRT350N recently and ran into a small bug.
Somehow I could not set a DHCP reservation for a specific machine/address. For other machines it worked perfectly.
I found out that I can telnet to the device:
$ telnet 192.168.1.1 33
# uname -a
Linux 2.6.12-arm1 #1 Thu Dec 13 14:07:15 CET 2007 armv5tejl unknown
That's handy, you know what you are running on the WRT350N!
Then I found with
# nvram show
that the machine failing in DHCP reservation was already listed as first item in variable:
static_dhcp_clients=eljo:280:000874AB0846:1:joel:192.168.1.12:0015F23B916E:1
Using 'nvram set' I removed the 'eljo' entry and I could fill it in again correctly using the web interface!
So I'm a happy user ;-)

I have the same issue on Solaris 8 with a Linksys WRT54G firmware 3.01.3. I can access the internet using the Netscape 4.7 browser but, only by using http://ip.addr. nslookup works in forward lookups e.g. www.google.com. and sometimes by ip.addr.
snoop -d le0 shows
hostname DNS R Error: 3(Name Error)
I removed dhcp configurations and set a static route on the linksys router under advanced routing and plumbed the interface. I still have the same problem.
I am using a Sparc20.
I checked resolv.conf and it is correct. I checked /etc/nsswitch.conf, it uses hosts: files dns.
defaultrouter is the same as yours.

MB21- Hard Reservation Issue.

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario at my client...
We have a stock for the matl A2552A - 200 Qty.
Engineering dept creates HARD reservations for material A2552A for 15th Oct'08 using MB21 with mvt type 201 for a cost center for 100 Qty.
Now a STO for the material A2552A comes in for 150 Qty. When the ATP happens for the order based on the lead time give proposal for delivery some time end of Aug'08.
But what our clients want to do is make the reservation as SOFT reservation where the STO will consume the 150 Qty and the reservation will reduce for 50 and the next MRP will full file the remaining 50 qty for the reservation. They want this to happen outsie or within the time fence.
Right now the planned is manually making the reservation de-active and once the STO is completed again make the reservation active.
How to make the above process through configuration set or user exist or with some enhancement suggestions.
Any help will be appreciated.

Name reservation issue

Hi all,
I want to enforce name reservation in my NWDI (SLD on same system).
I configured a NWDI landscape with the SLD system on it.
I can see from SLD -> name reservation that the name reservation is on (the button label is: disable name reservation).
However from NWDS, in my pre-existing track and dev conf, I can still see that no naming convention is enforced.
What should I do?

Settlement issue for Pooled asset

Hi all,
I created a notification (type MF) for pooled asset in IW21. I was able to view the notification in the planning board (PAM03). I was also able to do the planning of the demand and was able to reserve, issue and return the pool asset.
Now, I am facing an issue during settlement. Which I try to do the settlement, system is giving an error 'Unable to determine the pool category for requirement'. Message No. PAMS145
Below is the detailed message:
Diagnosis
In Customizing for PAM, you define activity types for each pool category for
each controlling area.
When settling a PAM requirement, the system calculates the service performed
for the activity types defined for 'Rental price' and 'Price/unit.'
The pool category is determined using the equipment or message (in this
order) for the requirement
The controlling area is determined from the equipment.
Unable to determine a pool category for the requirement.
System Response
The settlement of the requirement is terminated.
Procedure
Depending on the business process, store a pool category in the equipment or
the message.
I think I am not able to tie up the pool category which is there in the configuration of PAM with the equipment I created. Has someone faced similar issue before? What could be the possible way to resolve this error?

Create an IO Through KO01 with extra Create AUC........
Then post the exp to AUC........
Then assign the settlement rule as Fixed assed and enter the Asset number and give % or amount....
Settle the IO through K088

Namespace Reservation in SLD ??

I have the JDI sp13 and I'm trying to configure it.
I'm arrived at point that the Installation Guide speas about "Registering the Reserved Prefix for the Name Reservation Service"
and I'm dubious about the meaning of this stuff.
It's really necessary ?
I'm not going to use the prefix "sap.com" or my developents so why they should be overvritten ?

Material Serial Number Issue.

Dear Friends,
Material Serial Number Issue.
Its better to explain with the example.
Material Number : ABCD with serial number as 123456
There is a reservation for the Material ABCD from work order, now the warehouse person Goods Issues for the reservation ABCD with serial number 06-123456.(he issued wrong serial number)
Correction action - Reverse Goods Issue for serial number 06-123456, now Goods issue for correct number as 123456. But the systems doesnot allows the serial number, error Material ABCD 123456 is already installed. Thenin IQ09 the material ABCD with SNO 123456 is INSTL Status.
Now question.
1. In 1st place how system allows the Goods issue for particular reservation with different serial number?
2. Without issuing the serial number 123456, how the status changed to INSTL???
3. How to solve this problem, need to change the stauts of Material 123456 as ESTO, then i can do goods issue,. how to change the status??

Hi,
Ask the workcentre to give that materail with 202 or 262 mvt to you. Now with the new reservation issue the required serial number material to site.
System does not have the serial number in reservation slip.Manually u are assigning it diuring the MIGO.

Does Leopard support Font Reserve?

I wasn't sure where to post this question, so hopefully someone reading this can help me out. I'm having a problem with Font Reserve now that I've installed Leopard. When I try to open the browser I get a message that says:
"Font Reserve is off. THe browser cannot be opened until it is turned on by the Font Reserve control panel. Do you want to open the Font Reserve control panel now?"
I click on "Yes" and the control panel appears but I'm unable to click the "On" button. I'm assuming this is yet another outdated program that Leopard doesn't support (sorry if I sound bitter but I just found out Leopard doesn't support iPhoto 2.0, so I just had to purchase iLife 08, in addition to having to buy more memory for my computer just to install Leopard. Ugh!) Anyway, is anyone familiar with the Font Reserve issue?

i'm having the exact same problem. i'll let you know if i find anything out. last v. of font reserve i have is 3.13, and extensis doesn't seem to have any advice. i tried trashing prefs and reinstalling the software. somewhat frustrating as i'm a designer and need access to my typefaces! ugh is right. good luck.

Adobe Acrobat 10.1.3 Mac OS does not inherit the Duplex setting from PPD for HP printers

Adobe Acrobat for the Mac OS does not inherit the setting from the PPD for the printer. Our current settings for the PPD has Duplex enabled as the default for the HP LJ 9050 and it works in all the application with the exception of Acrobat 10.1.3, Acrobat does not inherit this setting from the driver. Our previous installation with Acrobat 10.1.0 duplex worked well with our PPD configuration where Acrobat inherits the setting from the PPD and duplex is default for all our black and white printers.
We found reference to the reserve issue with 10.1.2 in the forum but that solution is global for all printers and it only works with version 10.1.2
Does anyone know how to set the default printing settings in Acrobat version 10.1.3 to allow us to have duplex printing by default on the Mac.

No, you still don't get it...Lightroom is a Cocoa app...it uses Cocoa printing APIs...therefore, print drivers will have to be rev'ed to support those Cocoa APIs...the 3800 (6.10) DOES...the earlier 3.5x drivers won't under Leopard.
What's the driver version of your R800? Something like 3.09? The odds are REAL GOOD (since Epson hasn't released an updated driver for that printer yet) that it's not been updated.
So, you are just gonna have to wait for Epson to rev the drivers, use Tiger instead of Leopard or print out of Photoshop CS3 (which is a Carbon app and uses the Carbon APIs) or not print.
You may not _LIKE IT_ but those are your options...

I just attached the file containing the filtered caps ; taken simultaneously on both dhcp servers. As we are using HSRP ; it looks like the dhcp messages are not doubled, but quadruplet.

DHCP Failover, one DHCP Server Partners Supnet is deactivated, Clients losing network connectivity for 3 sec. after renewing they IP Adress

currently we are using two W2K12R2 DHCP server configured in "load balance Mode". On DHCP1 the IP-scope with failover partnership to DHCP2 is deactivated. DHCP2 is working fine. Now we register that 50 percent of our clients (W2K8R2 application
server) losing the network connectivity for 3 sec. after rereleasing they IP-Address. On DHCP2 servers eventlog we receive a lot of
BINDING ACK reject events 20291 and 20292 for these IP addresses entries.
These 3 sec. of loosing they Network connectivity is our big Problem because the Client application (W2K8R2 application server) cannot handle these timeout. It looks like a
DISCOVER-OFFER-REQUEST-NAK cycle that are described here:

Could you provide more information about your environment. For example, the exact text of any error messages that you received that are associated with this problem?
Screenshots is the best information.
Base on my experience, these warnings are about disk reservation issue. When the cluster nodes try to access the disk, it finds that the disk is already reserved. We need
to check whether these disks are presented to this cluster or not. If they are not present, we can ignore this error. Else, we will have to involve the storage vendor to check why these errors are present.
