Reservation (MB21)

Hi all,
I have reserved a material via MB21 (Movt Type: 301).
But i still can do a transfer posting even i have only left 10 box of material M1 and i have already reserved it .
In MMBE, i can see the stock is under stock type: reserved and receipt reservation.
Is there any configuration to block user to take those stock already been reserved?
How reservation work?

You can use a seperate storage location for collection and the authorization for this storage location can be checked for the users in basis.
So the material available in this storage location can be handled by the authoriosed users in the specified movement type in customizing.

Workflow event for material reservation(mb21),QA02 transaction

Hi,
I created material reservation(mb21), but no event was triggered for the transaction.
I checked for event in swel.(event trace is on).
please let me know how to handle this.

MB21 ==>
1. Create a subtype of BUS2093. (Through SWO1 T.code)
2. Create an event "Created". (Through SWU_EWCD T.code)
QA32 is a report for Inspection Lot. Hence I infer you probably want creation event for a inspection lot.
QA01 ==> Inspection lot
BUS2045 --> Inspection lot
Follow same steps of 1 & 2 above for the "Created" Event

Transaction Variant for Reservations MB21

Hi As far I know there is not release strategy for reservations in order to have a control of it.
We need to give MB21 to users but also wants to have control about it.
Also I know that the nearest we can use is the "movement allowed" indicator.
I can define it via configuration to set as default = blank, but my problem is that the field is still visible in MB21, so the end user could activate that indicator.
SHD0 transaction I know can be used, but in this case how can be applicable?

Alternate Item In case of Creating reservation(MB21)

Can any one help me out from creating reservation with alternate item only Sngle item of Group. ,when we r defining the Alternate item in BOM according to group and afterwords i m creating reservation from (MB21 with reference to BOM)that particular BOM .then out put is taking all item of group. but we want only single Item of particular group and create the reservation.

Reservation MB21 : Need UserExit or BADI to Print

Requirement is:
Once the user clicks SAVE button in the Reservation (Tcode: MB21), the details should be printed out.
Since there is no form for that, I need to find out the solutions in User Exit, BADI, etc.
Available User Exits are not for printing.
Please suggest.

Problem in creating reservation MB21

Hi experts,
When I create resevation thru tcode MB21. Error msg is coming : Field selectn for mvt type / acct 400601 differs from business area ( 033 ). In our case, GL account field is suppressed. whereas the movt type field is mandatory.
Please suggest solution.

You have understood our issue correctly. We have followed your instructions and did the necessary changes in DEV server ( Golden client ) . Thereafter , we tpt the changes to QAS.
We find that in QAS the changes made in DEV were not highlighted in QAS.

Material Reservation Workflow(MB21)

Hi all,
   Have anybody has implemented a workflow for Material Reservation(MB21).
I have a problem in that.I want to know how to develop a item wise approval process for this.
The scenario is whenever a reservation is created the goods movement shld be blocked and should be sent for approval.The approver on executing the workitem will be taken to MB22 transaction where he have to select the items for which goods movement is allowed(enable a check box) which means those items are approved.
The problem is say if there are 5 line items in the reservation and if the approver approves only 3 then he can approve the remaining after two days or one week or he will approve only 3 items remaining he is not interested in approving .
How to control this in workflow how come we can know that the approver is interested in only 2 times and remaning is rejected or the approver will approve the items later..
Any idea Please let me know..

Reserve with tx-mb21 and check stock with tx-md04

Hello people,
Can someone please answer the question below :
After reservation to a sales order, how do you process the
delivery ? I tried the following:
1. Create a sales order.
2. Create a reservation (MB21) with mvt type 231, against sales order created in #1 above
3. Create the delivery. In MD04, I see the reservation as well as the reservation.
4. PGI the delivery. MD04 no longer shows the delivery, but the reservation is still appearing.
5. Question: shouldnt the reservation automatically disappear after either #3 or #4 above? What the point of creating a reservation agains a sales order if it doesnt disappaear once the sales order has been delivered , and goods issued?. Are there any steps I am missing?

Manual Reservation for Movement type 261

Dear Friends,
I want to create a manual reservation (MB21) for production order i.e. movement type 261. But system is not allowing and giving error message order category 10 (prodn order) not allowed for manual reservation.
Can some one help to know how the setting which allows manual reservation for MVt type 261

Hi,
After my long analyzation, I came know that, this is SAP standard setting.We cann't make any changes in order category 10. As per SAP standard procedure , the below order categories do not allow manual reservation.
10 PP production order
20 network
30 maintenance order
40 batch order (process manufacturing)
50 inspection lot
So please make goods issue through MB1A , if you want tracking this issue seperatly please put your production order number in text filed.

TEXT IN MB21

HI ALL,
IS THERE ANY PROVISION IN CREATING RESERVATIONS- MB21 WITH LONG TEXT. MY USERS ARE SAYING THAT THERE IS SOME REQUIREMENT FOR THEM TO WRITE THE LONG TEXT IN THEIR RESERVATIONS. PLEASE HELP ME IN THIS REGARD.

I am sure you cannot do it the standard way and there ain't any method to add your own subscreen I know of!!

Object link to a reservation

Hi,
Is it somehow possible to attach documents to a reservation (MB21) ? Can't seem to find an object for this.

Hi Erik,
in the standard object link behavior there is unfortunatly no object for linking reservations to documetn info records.
But you can link document info records to the relevant material master.

Manual reservation creation for Network order

Hi ,
I am trying to create manual reservation (MB21) for network (movement type 281), I am getting error message "Manual reservation for order category 20 is not allowed". Whether it is possible to create manual reservation for network order by any other way or by config change?

Reservation not appearing in MD04

Reservations are stocks that are reserved for a usage example production Issue when you release the production order reservationa are created for components, manual reservations also can be created if you want to allocate some stock for a particular use. Tcode for reservations
Create Reservation MB21
Change Reservation MB22
Display Reservation MB23
List of Reservations MB25
If reservations are more than the UR stock still movements can be posted and in MD04 u can see the actual situation. if you run te MRP for that material if the reservationa are more than the URUS then mrp will create the PR.
In MMBE choose the stock and click --Environment -->reservations you can see all the reservation details ie for which production order this materials reservations are created.

Sales order v/s Reservation

Dear Friends,
Please advise as how to overcome this situaton. All the Reservations done against a Sales order are being consumed by new sales orders.
Eg: Part A has unrestricted stock of 20 Units.
I created Sales order 51230 for 10 units. Then I created a Reservation(MB21) for the same sales order for another 10 units. Now my availale stock is O. When I am creating a new sales order 51331, the Reservation stock of 10 units is being stolen by new sales order. Pleae advise how to avoid this???

Hi sanjay
First of all check wheather , availability check is happening or not.
So check in Material master record for that material, wheather stratergy group , availabilty check and MRP type has been maintained or not .
If they are maintained check in MD04 wheather the order which is getting confirmed must have been showing in the open order only.

i want to make "uploading point" field when creating reservation (MB21) to be mandatory field.
