Storage location in reservation: The storage Location field in a reservation should be a mandatory field u2013 can you throw some light on this issue

Hi,
Reservation should be created by providing the storage location by this ystem will reserves the stocks avl in that storage location and when a new reqt trigger in that storage lcoation it will show a warning message based on your settings. You can default the storage location in the reservation by providing the issue storage location in MRP 2 view of the Material Master.
You can also create the reservation without providing the storage location in this case system will reserve the material in the Plant level.

issue is like this
a component has been deleted from BOM, its CS15 is nothing , its not used any BOMs
Still PRs are getting generated in MRP for that part number
when analysed its understood that there are few Production Orders which are partially confirmed and done TECO.
is it the reason that they are not done final confirmation ....reservations are still existing
when we try to delete these reservations because of which PRs are getting generated , we could not delete.
when we do TECO , the reservations are cleared , is it not ?
what may be the root cause ?
is it required that we should do final confirmation before doing TECO?
i think we can not give 0 quantity and do final confirmation ?
still i think that TECO shall release all reservations

Hi,
1. If you check the PuReqs in MD04 for your material you can check from where those requisitions originate (from where the requirements come).
2. If reservation generated by production orders don't disappear at higher level even if you change the order status to TECO, your system doesn't work properly I think. (Final confirmation and TECO has nothing to do with each other).
After setting the order status to TECO, execute an MRP run, start AGAIN MD04 and check the result. If reservations still existst search for OSS notes (like 512009), if you fail to find contact SAP AG.
(please also check whether from where those resrvation come...)

Issue reg creation of reservation

Hi all,
I am trying to create a reservation.
I have given a plant and storage location for a material by checking in table mard.
for some reason ,its says storage location not supported even though the mard
table has the same plant and storage location for that material.
it sometimes says only 1 quantity available.
what should i do in order to increase the quantity available.

Reg Order reservation not deleting after PGI (VL01N)

Hi All,
ETO scenario, For production, reservation will be create through WBS element. After production , If I do delivery and PGI, production order reservation is not deleting.
Same material If I do delivery(LP) through CNS0, then order reservation is going to delete after PGI. But Sales order price is not copying to Billing If I follow this process.
Is there any copy controls to flow the sales price to billing when delivery happens through CNS0. If not
Which requirement class and movement type I need to determine in Sales order.

Reservation in MD04 -reg

Hi ,
For a material in MD04 , reservation created is being shown but not considered while calculating the available quantity
reservation is craeted for the movement type 201 for the material for tomorrow date (28.04.2010) .
its shown along with other elements in MD04
but at arriving the final available quantity the reservation's qty is not considered
what could be the reasons? are reservations of 201 movemet are not considered ?

if that tick is ticked then you mean to say the reservation quantity also takes part in the calculation of available quantity shown in MD04 ?
In which checking rule i have to check ?
i have to see for that material in the plant which availability check is asssigned and then checking rule and check ?

Automatic created reservation closing reg

Dear All..
Im using Ecc 4.6 I want to close open reservations. here i can able to close manual created reservations.but im not able to close Automatic created reservations at the time of PM order creation and MRP generated reservations i c'ont able to close..
Even i Have tried in MBVR its showing message as "No Document Exists Message number is M7842.
Please Resolve this..

Hi,
If you have the material document for the reservation,Please go to MIGO ,then Select Cancellation and Material document,then try to do the cancellation.Auto reservations created for production order will have to be removed from order assignment.

1. If we are creating reservation for a particular material, do SAP will block the reserved qty. If yes, pls guide me.
Though i have reserved the qty, but it is allowing me to issue the whole qty with out any warning or error msg in MIGO ie issue document.
2. In Reservation concept, how does Movement allowed check box works and what is reservation Management Program.

1)This error comes as you might no have checked the check box for movement allowed indicator in reservation.Please go to Tcode MB22 ,check the box for movement allowed indicator and save it.Now if you try to do GI aganist this reservation system will allow it.
A resrvation is the requirement of the warehouse to have materials for a goods movement readyat the later date and for particular purpose.It is important that reservations are considered in materials planning so that required material can be produced at the right time.
2)When posting goods movement,you can refer only reservation items for which the movement allowed indicator is set.With this indicator,you can also prevent goods movement from being posted toa reservation item.This is useful if the requirement date for the material lies far in future.
RESERVATION MANAGEMENT
With reservation management report ,you can set the movement allowed indicator for several reservations items witha mass change,and delete reservations.When creating reservations,you can decide whether the movement allowed indicator is to be set for the items.If you want to book the goods movements for a reservation item,you must set the indicator.With this report,you can automatically set the Movement allowed indicator for all reservation items whose requirement lies in near future(within next 10 days).
To prevent the reservation file from becoming too large,make sure you regularly delete finished,old, or extra reservations.This takes two steps
>The management program marks the reservation items for deletion
>If all the items of a reservation are marked for deletion,the reservation is physically removed from the file.
For this function you also need to specify the base date for the selection.Selece Set deletion indicator/delete reservation and then execute the report.For selected reservations,the system checks whether the requirement date of the induvaidual reservation item is before the date calculated by the system.The system calculates this date from the base date minus a fixed number of days that is defined in customizing (standard = 30 days)

Create separate reservation for supplement to a CS-order

Hey
We have a system where by the formation of CS orders automatically generated a reservation (Using IWxx). Attributed to several components of the order, will supplement get same reservation number as the original warrant. This is inappropriate because of date management - observation fields and subsequent follow-up. There is a strong desire to create a separate reservation on the order for each additional supplement/order - this will make follow-up - Questions on the order and printing of various documents much more simple and uncluttered.
Is it possible to make different reservations for the same CS-order?
It must be said, there are a lot of cost and specially created thing that is also linked with the order.

Reg:How can we show non valuated stock in the system for the paid items?

Customer orders 100 boxes and pays to all material.But customers are shipped the required material as and when required.My client requirement is these 100 boxes should show as non valuated stock.
How can we show these paid 100 boxes of material as non valuated stock in the sap? Is this functionality available in sap or it comes under requirement?
Ex:Customer X ordered 100 boxes and he paid to all quantity.
The customer X does not have space at his premises to keep the stock of 100 boxes.He just requests 20 boxes every monday or required quantity.Then company ships the required quantity to customer X.
Now the requirement is that these 100 boxes should be shown as non valuated stock in the system.This should not used for other customers, should not work ATP functionality for these material quantity.This should show as reserved to this customer X
could you share any ideas or solutions reg this..

Thank you for giving valuable points.
In consignment scenario,the stock is available at customer place not at company place.But ownership is company itself.
But in this scenario,Customer is not having space to keep the total ordered quianty.So cutomer stock should be kept at company itself,customer requests the required quantity(for which he already paid for the total ordered quantity) as and when required.How can it suits in this scenario?Could you plz calirfy the debit memo to realize sales ?How it will be help ful?

Reservations archving

Hello Experts
Our customer is using the 3.1 version . Now we are facing the problem that when we run MD04, for material and plant , system is taking lot of time and it is not giving any results and giving dump error after some time .
We already consulted to SAP and they suggested to archive the open reservations against schedule agreements and all other type documents .
When i tried to open the reservation using MB23 which is showing in RSEB table , system giving error that the document does not exist . Can anybody tell me how to see the reservations and how to archive the open / closed reservations . is there any standard program or object exsist in 3.1 version for archiving the reservation ?
This is very critical situation we are facing . kindly help me in this regard .

we are unable to archive the reservations which are showing in RESB table.
When we are archiving this reservations the system giving error message that set the deletion variant first . all the reservations showing in RESB table are having the requirement type BB or SB. we are not understanding the what is requirement type. Kindly let me know how to archive this data. due to this we are unable to execute the MD04 transaction. Ssytem is taking lot of time to execute
Kindly let me know if you have any procedure , how to archive this data .we wrote the same issue to SAP. they provided the object PP_ORDER to archive , but it seems the all reservations are related to subcontracting PO component reservations .

Manual Reservations

Dear All,
When i am trying to create Manual reservations the system gives the following error:
You entered an order whose category only permits automatic reservations. The following order categories do not allow manual reservations:
10 PP production order
20 network
30 maintenance order
40 batch order (process manufacturing)
50 inspection lot
Kindly tell me how should i make Manual reservations for the following Order Types

Why you want to create Manual Reservations for Networks or some other orders. System will not allow you to create Manual reservations for this.
Its not possible. Just you can give cost center then it will not ask for Order.
Revert back in case not solved.

Stock reservation

When I created reservations manually using mb21
case 1 : Receive Storage location and Movement type as in automatic reservations
RESB is being updated and reservations appearing in CO09
case 2 : Receive storage location is different from automatic reservations
RESB is being updated and reservations appearing in CO09 under StLcSt with +ve
sign.When I checked CO09 next day Reservation disappearing from CO09 and
data in RESB remains as previous
How to I get the reserved stock details as in CO 09.
Can anybody help me?

In Case 2, where is that stock going? Can you please check MMBE with the same material.
