Reset after Reset!

Hello there...
I recently had two problems with my Macbook. First, the battery died (the x in the corner), then, the harddrive.
I just got them fixed and back today.
However, after I started adding things (songs) and customizing it like new, I noticed the man at the store at put the wrong name in for who's computer it was. For example, instead of "Log off My Name" it said "Log Off Not my name".
Not paying attention-I right clicked on the Home icon in the Finder and changed the name myself. What I didn't realize, is that this changed the user.
It gets more confusing.
I restarted the computer and was shocked to see everything back to the way it was. My desktop clean, etc. I then looked in Finder under users, and saw a folder with my REAL Name on it with all the songs and pictures and settings I had uploaded. After goofing witht these I got angry and deleted them, along with some other things in the confusion (the Movies/Music icons in the Finder too!).
I would like to start clean over without bringing this laptop in again. Start it up with a right name, only one user data base, etc.
How do I do this? I know it would include resetting the thing.

Take your OSX re-install discs that came with the laptop and run those by inserting the first disc and holding down alt/option at startup. Then go into Disc utility and erase your drive and proceed with a fresh install of OSX. Then you can even choose the option to customize your install and uncheck any components of the OS you don't use (multiple languages, iWork demo,extra printer drivers. etc.) and really clear out some space.

Apple TV reset after resetting internet

Every time we have to reset our internet from the router we then have to reset the apple TV because ( the only three options on the Apple TV menu are Internet, Computers & Settings). Typically there are 5 menu options. This issue only happens when we reset the internet. It is extremely frustrating because we have to reset it, enter the WEP key again and then it works fine until the internet goes down. Does anyone else have this issue? Does anyone have a work around?? Please help!!

This is happening to mine more and more often to my setup.
i dont know wether its my internet provider BT (UK) or its the apple tv.
Why does the Apple TV not retain your wep and wireless settings, as you computer or iphone or ipad does. if the connection drops they just pick them back up when available.
This is becoming more and more frequent, continually having to reset the the net, the input the wep code and itunes ids etc.

External Display resolution problem after resetting PRAM

Gello, I've got Fujitsu-Siemens P19-2 monitor hooked up to my MbookPro and after resetting PRAM the correct display resolution disappeared from the "Displays" menu in System PReferences.
So did the refresh rate option...
What do I do?
I really need to change the refresh rate and the resolution, but the refresh rate button is grey and unclickable, and the resolution simply isn't there (I need 1280x1024).
REsetting PRAM and SMC didn't help.

After a couple of resets everything went back to normal

I did a reset erase all contents and settings but i'm stuck at activation lock! The iphone is mine and email is correct but even after i reset my password, IT STILL WON'T ACCEPT THE NEW PASSWORD :(( please help! Thank you.

But when i sign in my icloud account on the activation lock, it still won't accept it. Even if i tried resetting my password. I believe that i use the right icloud account but still it won't activate it. 2. Swipe up on the screenshot of the app you want to exit.

I do not remember it because when I bought the my iPhone 4s in 2011 I didn't understand how it works and asked a representative to set it up for me. The representative helped me and gave a piece of paper with login and password but I lost it a long time ago.
Before resetting the settings I turned off "Find my iPhone" function, but it anyway asks me to enter my old Apple ID and password. I have the original box, documents, receipt. So how can I solve this problem?

After reset Mail hangs w/spinning ball on "Reading table of contents"

This problem is on a 17" monitor Power PC G4, 256mb DDR SDRAM.iMac, half ball bottom, with Mail, with Systems 10.3.9
After Reset, Mail is hanging with the spinning beach ball on "Reading table of contents." Quite a few emails are being retrieved and placed in the Dock before the hang, and Mail responds to mouse commands up to the "hang." Then a Force Quit is the only way to proceed. Other programs run OK, with Mail "hung."
The reason for the Reset is that my daughter reads "fan fiction," and can go through a hundred pages in an hour, and the computer gets so plugged up that it takes FIVE MINUTES to retrieve, then display another Safari window. Empty Cache does not help. So, to get things back to normal, a reset is required. Something went wrong on this reset.
This happened once before, possibly with OS-X 10.2, and I was advised to delete a file somewhere deep in Systems, and Mail apparently made a "new" file and all was fine from then on. My "guess" is that Mail then makes a new "table of contents."
Anybody know what file to delete? Or any other advice? At the moment, I am getting Mail with another IMac, with System 10.2

If the problem Inbox mailbox is for a POP type
account, with the Mail.app quit and using the Finder
go to Home > Library > Mail > this account named

server for the account) > INBOX.mbox.
Move the INBOX.mbox to the Desktop.
Launch Mail and if successful, a new (and empty)
INBOX.mbox will be created automatically by Mail
within this account named folder when receiving the

again while working on the old INBOX.mbox move to the
Desktop to recover the existing messages.

I have had the same problem as Jean - did what you advised and now find mail runs find but need to rescue the old mail.

How do I rescue OS X Lion after reseting the hard drive ?

After reseting the hard drive I need now to replace my old OS X Lion. I don't have a copy in any other physical way but the internet by the App store. How do I manage to get back my old version of the OS in order to put my litlle mac-mini back to work?

I did a reset of my phone yesterday and now when I go to purchaed to download my paurchsed tabs there is nothing there.
I see them in my ipad but they are not in my itunes app section either.
I searched for one in the app store and it usually said "open" or had the cloud icon with the little arrow to downlaod again (free). But none of that shows up at all this time. All the apps that I'm missing show up in the pp store for me to buy again like I never purchased them at all!
What's going on?
I'm missing a ton of apps!

I just wanted to add this information to my post:
I have purchaed, free and paid, 618 apps.
In my phone apps to add to my phone when I plug it in my computer only 266 apps show up.
In my itunes "puerchased list" only 266 show up.
Thank God I have not updated my ipad. There I went to my "purchased" under the ALL list in the app store and there I do see my 618 apps!
Where did my other 352 apps go? Which many were paid.
I want my apps back.

We conclude that when we reset the device, the driver is not unloading and that why, its not releasing the resource.
My motto to solve the issue by creating an application that run at every startup after reset and unload the driver. So, that during the time of loading it, it re-loads properly..
I am searching it on google but unable to find any way so far.

NdisMRegisterMiniport sure needs to be called from DriverEntry. Can you check if NdisRegisterAdapter is present. This ideally should be somewhere in your stream interface.
I am taking a wild guess here , perhaps you can may be introduce some delay in DriverEntry , so that the stream driver gets a chance to load?.
e.g. you can use one of NdisWaitEvent functions.

As, per my knowledge, the DriverEntry is the first function that is called by ndis after loading the ndis.dll and it is responsible for registering the driver with NDIS by using
NdisRegsiterMiniportDriver.
Any how in my case, DriverEntry is called but the same function we are getting one error and that's why driver is not registered with NDIS.
We are checking SDIO interface status, either it is uo or not. If it is up then fine and if not then display warning and unload the driver.
So, in my case, the SDIO status is not up after resting the device.
Any suggestion will be appreciated????

After resetting & restoring iPad from iTunes backup, I got A LOT of a problems

But for me, I'm getting sorta mad that Steve Jobs is dead, apple went ⬇️DOWN
I have 2 problems:
Problem 1: after resetting and restoring from iTunes backup, i get all the settings back. But my apps didn't. If I download them, would I have my files back? Like my minecraft worlds? I had VERY important stuff
Problem 2: when I want to download a paid app like minecraft, and I downloaded it from the same apple ID, it doesn't say 'free', nor it has a cloud, But it says $6.99. Please help me. I have IOS 7.1.1.
