Reset AIR-AP1200B-A-K9

I am trying to reset this AP and the MODE button does not seem to be working. What steps do i need to take to reset the AP. It is an AIR-AP1200B-A-K9.

Q1: is it true that AC WiFi will only working in a master slave configuration?
> what do you ran by this?  The AC module works off of the existing 5ghz radio
Q2: Suggestions on getting 3rd unit reset...have tried over telenet, SSH so far.
> you need to make sure the module is connected properly. Remove the module and reset it again.

  • Resetting air-ap1131ag-e-k9 to default configuration.

I am having a small problem resetting the AP to default config.
Off course I have tried the cisco way but the AP still retains some parts of old config.
Can someone tell me how to full (clean) reset the AP?
    Thanks,
    Piotr,
p.s. can option 43 for dhcp help?

    Hi,
I am having the same issue : when resetting the AP1131AG to defaults, it does not restart and does not take into account the defaults settings...
Same thing when I want to change the configuration using HTTP interface - loading a new config.txt file - in the "System Configuration" part of the IOS 12.3(8) software. Nothing happens !
But what is strange is that for some APs I do not have the problem and for some others yes...
    thanks for your answers !

  • How to reset Air

Trying to download Dreamweaver CS6 trial version, Air is trying to download CS6 Design and Web Premium wanting 8 hours on a bad ADSL connexion, I refused this download a week ago because I was on 3G.
Now I would like to download only Dreamweaver in order to gain some downloading time.

Have you tried canceling the download?  If you are facing problems with canceling the download then please implement solution 1 in Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assistant.html#main_Solutio n_1.

  • Slow firefox snowleopard macbook

MacBook 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo 2 has suddenly slowed down since updated snow leopard to 10.6.7 on both FireFox and Safari. My two other computers, iMac 2.16GHz and 2.8GHz both running 10.6.7 are browsing normally. Tried, Repair Permissions, Safe Boot, ran Techtool Pro, Snow Leopard Cache Cleaner, Cocktail, Disk Warrier, reset ISP provided cable modem, reset Air Extreme 802.11n, Created  new user and tried a few 2009 posted remedies related to SL and Macbook slowness. The only way to get the speed to normal on the laptop was to boot up with an external HDD using Leopard and not SL.
In googling the net found many others having the same problem, some even consulted Apple Genius, and others complained to Apple but none of thes guy seem to latch onto a satisfactory solution. I even boot up my old G5 1.8GHz with Tiger and it runs faster than any of the three new Intel based computers.
Does any one know if Apple has published a solution to this problem?
Do I have to revert to Leopard and forget Snow Leopard

You might benefit from some of the advice posted on this thread.  You might also try one of the network speed tests such as this one to determine what throughput that Mac sees.

  • Can not get my ipad air 2 to reset or reboot

I have an ipad air 2 that I believe is running IOS 8.1. I jailbroke it using Pangu. After not finding much need for a jailbroken devise I went to reset the ipad to factory settings. I backed up the devise to my macbook and followed the reset procedure going to settings, general, reset, and erase all content and settings. The ipad then restarted and it appeared to be doing it's thing. The ipad rebooted after a while and the apple logo appeared, then After about 2 hours the apple logo was still there and it seemed to be stuck.
I then plugged the ipad into my computer and opened itunes. itunes recognized the ipad and give me the option to set it up as a new devise or restore from back up. I choose to sset up as a new devise. The ipad then just displayed the apple logo for a few more hours, once again it seemed to be stuck. I preformed a hard reset on the ipad by holding the power and home buttons at the same time and reconected it to itunes. Now itunes does not even recognize the ipad when it is plugged into the computer. I reset the devise several times and it still will not get past the apple logo.
I then powered the ipad off and let it sit overnight while I searched online for a solution to this problem. the next day it appears that the battery had been completely drained because I was getting the low battery symbol when I was trying to turn the ipad back on. I then plugged it into my macbook and let the battery recharge for about an hour. I then tried to put the ipad in rocovery more and reset it from itunes, but now it looks like it is not going into recovery more. I have held down the home and power buttons while powering on in an attempt to put it into recovery mode and that does not seem to be working. I tried to do a recovery fix using redsn0w but that did not work either.
I would really like to be able to fix this thing on my own before sending it to apple. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions on how to fix it I am all ears. At this point I just want to reset it to factory settings. I do not care if I am able to recover any of the data that was on it. If anyone can help me get this things working I would be willing to send you some $$$ via Paypal for your time. Thanks

Jailbreaking violates the Apple warranty and licensing agreement and voids ALL support from Apple.  No one on here can help you as doing so is a violation of the Terms of Use of these Communities.  If you send the iPad to Apple they will just send it back to you as they are not permitted to work on a machine that has been jailbroken.

  • How do I reset my MacBook Air for a new user?

I have an older MacBook Air that I want to pass on to another user.  Since it does not have a CD Drive, how can I reset the OS?

You would use the Recovery Partition to erase, and resintall the Operating System, provided you are using Lion or Mountain Lion.
Boot to it by holding don the OPTION key while booting, then select the Recovery Partition from the list of bootable partitions.

  • Brand New MacBook Air Randomly Resetting (IMO WiFi Issue)

    Good evening,
    My problem is as follows:
I purchased a brand new Macbook Air last week and since the get go have been having issues while transferring large amounts of data over WIFI. The issue is that it seems when there is no activity (I leave the files transferring and have no interaction with the computer) and the files are transferring, some sort of error occurs and creates the system to panic and subsequently reboots.
I have contacted Apple, and they ran me through a few common procedures (Reset SMC, RAM, Disk Repair, etc...). On my own I also ran the Hardware Tool several times and the results was always the same (everything in perfectly working order). I also did a restore in the event that it may be some faulty system file, yet to no avail as the problem persists.
As per my title, I believe it has something to do with WiFi card, as I even disconnected all peripherals (USB Apple Keyboard & My Passport External HDD), yet again and as mentioned above the system continues to reboot without any apparent reason.
Below is a copy of the log, certain information has been changed such as UUID, but everything else is as is.
Could it be a hardware problem? As I am only seeing (as of now) this happen whenever I leave the computer and it is downloading a file.

Hey, I'm trying to install Adobe Flash on my Macbook Air. At a certain point it asks for my password but it doesn't take it. So I cannot continue installment. I have reset my password already. Still the same problem. How can I continue to install when it keeps asking for a password it doesn't recognize over and over again? How many times do I have to reset it then? Advice please

You have to provide your computer's administrator password in order to install Flash Player.

  • How do I reset iChat and Facetime on an Air so I can  basically start fresh?

How do I reset iChat and Facetime on my Air.  When I bought it we had everything on my husbands MacBook put on the Air.  All the iChat and Facetime setting are his so the Air and MacBook won't iChat or Facetime with each other.

Remove their preference files in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Remove any related folder in /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  Relaunch each application and reconfigure.
Check the rest of the computer for other inconsistencies.  For example, the Computer Name in Sharing preferences may need to be changed.  Settings in Accounts preferences for the long name, account name, and password.  Changing the account name is quite complicated.
If you truly wish to start fresh then erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.

  • How to reset my macbook air 2012?

hi,, my name is jovito ,,i have this macbook air 2012,, and i planning to buy the new version,, and my friend want to buy my 2012 air.. but before he buy this air,, he wants me to reset it first.. and i dont kmow how to.. please help.. thank you...

Before you sell or give away your computer, in addition to the steps mentioned in this support article, take these steps:
Run the Apple Hardware Test or Apple Diagnostics. The buyer will do this (or he should), and you don't want to be surprised by the results.
Reset the PRAM and the SMC, which might contain personal information.
If you set a firmware password, remove it by running Firmware Password Utility in Recovery mode.
If you activated FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, turn it off.
If you use Boot Camp, the partition must be deleted
If you created any other data partitions on the internal drive, remove them in Disk Utility.
Erase the data partition(s) with the option to zero out data. An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.
You can't legally or practically transfer any software downloaded from the Mac App Store to the new owner of the machine, even if it was free. That includes OS X, so if you upgraded to OS X 10.7 or later, you must reinstall  the original OS, either from the installation media, if applicable, or by booting into Internet Recovery (option-command-R at the startup chime.) If you installed from discs or a read-only USB key, deliver those to the new owner.
The new owner will have to repurchase the software, if need be, under his or her Apple ID. If you ever updated the bundled iLife applications (Garage Band, iMovie, and iPhoto) through the App Store, you can't transfer them either.
Remove the machine from your list of registered products. If it's still covered by an AppleCare Protection Plan, transfer the coverage to the new owner by following the instructions in the AppleCare Terms and Conditions (under the heading "Transfer of Plan.")

  • Can see and recognize my wireless network and Internet is working, but I can't connect with ANY computers/iPad/iPod/air TV, etc. I have reset the time machine several times, and can see the network, but cannot access it with any device. PLEASE HELP!

I have Comcast Internet and have it connected to a Motorla Surfboard modem and have that running directly to a 2TB Time Capsule. The TC is serving as our time machine as well as our wireless router. We lost power in a storm a week ago and can no longer connect to my wireless network I can see the network and sign into it via password, but cannot connect with any device(iMac, MacBook, iPhones, iPod touches, air tv, etc.). ALL of these devices worked gat before the power went out. I reset both modem and TC and still can't connect. I can connect to the Internet through Ethernet cord directly from the modems dn have confirmation(per Comcast service) that the Internet is working and we have a good connection.
The TC is less than six months old so I'm not sure what is wrong. I have reset settings with TC to no avail. I have reset the TC SEVERAL times and have no idea what could be wrong and what is prohibiting me from connecting. Anyone that has ANY suggestions or ideas as to how to fix this, PLEASE HELP!!!  I'm going crazy using iPad 3G and not being able to connect to our wifi. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AND I LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING BACK TO THE 21ST CENTURY!

Anyone have any ideas or information to help with this?  Any help and consideration is MUCH appreciated.

Do you mean an Airport Extreme Base Station connected to a Comcast Modem?

  • I am trying to do a factory reset on my macbook air, but when I do the command   power button, I am only seeing the macintosh HD option not the recovery hd option previously mentioned.

I am trying to factory restore my macbook air, I tried following a youtube video performing the option + power button and am only getting the macintosh HD option not the recovery HD option. Is there another way to reset the computer?

The proper shortcut is COMMAND-R, not  COMMAND-PowerButton. See the following:
Install or Reinstall Mavericks or Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
OS X Mavericks- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Erase and reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • 13" Air has required SMC reset twice due to weird behavior (fan, backlight)

Note: MacOS version is really 10.6.7 plus Supplemental Update for the 13.3" MacBook Air.
My MacBook Air 13.3" 2.13 GHz/4GB/256GB, purchased in late November 2010, has twice now started acting weirdly after I installed MacOS 10.6.7 Supplemental Update. Resetting the SMC ( http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964 ) solves the problem, but I'm getting worried because it's happened twice now in a few days.
    Symptoms:
Even though I closed the lid with MacOS running, putting the machine to sleep, it either refuses to wake from sleep, forcing me to hold the power button to force it to reset, or it automatically performs a cold start and boot when I open the lid.
When I turn the machine on, the screen backlight is turned to maximum, regardless of previous setting.
When I turn the machine on, the fan(s) start running at full speed, regardless of temperature or load.
When I turn the machine on, it lingers for a long time at the gray screen before the screen turns blue and MacOS loads.
When MacOS has booted, the menu bar displays a battery icon with an X inside it. When I enter System Profiler and click Power, it reports that there is no battery installed. It also reports that the machine is connected to an external power source, even if that's not the case. It does not identify the external power source.
When I connect the external power adapter to the machine, the light on the connector does not come on (no light at all, neither amber nor green).
When I perform a shutdown, the machine will power off. However, handling the machine (with the lid closed the entire time) will repeatedly cause the fan to come on for a few seconds at full speed, then stop.
Resetting the SMC will fix these problems and cause the machine to perform normally after the reset. However, after leaving the machine sleeping for approx. 12 hours after a few hours' use after the first reset, the problem reappeared and the machine cold booted when I opened the lid, forcing me to shut it down and perform another SMC reset.
I'm worried this problem was either caused by the Update to 10.6.7, the Supplemental Update to 10.6.7 for the 13.3" MacBook Air, by an unrelated firmware bug or of course by hardware problems.
Anyone else out there with the same problem/symptoms? Anyone care to venture a guess as to what the problem is?
    Thanks,
    Gunnar

    Hi,
I have an update so I thought I would share in case any other users are experiencing a similar problem.
I made an appointment with the Genius Bar at the Apple Store.
I went in and they ran a thorough diagnostic check on my Macbook Air and determined that the sensors were indeed faulty - several were providing no information "No reading" instead of providing a temperature. Thus, the Air was unaware of the temperature across multiple components.
Despite the laptop being outside the 12 Month Manufacturer Warranty, the Apple Store determined that it was covered under warranty through Australian Consumer Law - the laptop is now in for a complete repair under warranty at no cost to myself.
    I couldn't be happier.
