Reset-Button funktioniert nicht in Acrobat Reader
Hallo liebe Community,
ich habe auf einem relativ komplexen PDF-Formular mit diversen JavaScripts auf der ersten Seite des einen Reset-Button erstellt, welcher über die Funktion "Formular zurücksetzen" eine Anzahl ausgewählter Felder des Formulars leeren soll. Dies funktioniert im Acrobat (XI Pro) wunderbar, im Adobe Reader jedoch bleibt der Klick auf den Button ohne Resultat.
Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn mir jemand hierzu einen Tipp geben könnte.

Have you checked the Acrobat JavaScript documentation?
Reader is not the same as Acrobat and does not have all the features of the paid for Acrobat product.
The JavaScript for the resetForm method has an "F" in the Quck Bar box for Reader. This notation means that for versions of Reader before Adobe Reader XI requires extended form rights if one want to use this code in form.

Manche haben aber nur den Adobe Reader oder den Adobe Prof und den Adobe Reader. Hier funtioniert das Formular nicht. Sie können das Formular ausfüllen, zurücksetzen aber nicht versenden.
(Some users have only Adobe Reader and some users have Adobe Prof. and Adobe Reader. Here the formular doesn't work. They can only fill and reset the formular but they can't send this formular.)
Wenn ich bei diesen Benutzern das Formular mit dem Adobe Prof. erzwinge, funktioniert es auch hier, aber nicht mit dem Adobe Reader. Leider öffnet es sich standardmäßig mit dem Reader.

If you are trying to send you form as pdf, your form has to be Reader extend with save permission. Acrobat reader has this ability while Reader - not, that is why your form works fine under Acrobat and not working under Reader.
To reader extend form you can use Reader Extensions ES .

Can Designer create a submit button that works in Acrobat Reader
Just got Adobe Professional 7.0 for Windows XP. Was able to design a form in Professional that works in Acrobat Reader (the majority of my users do not have the full product). To do this I set the email button to export the data in a .fdf format. I received the full form as an attachment in my email.
I then brought up the form in Designer 7.0 to use its expanded design capability. The button choices for the email submit button did not allow me to select a format and the saved file would not work in Adobe Reader. I then changed the button to a plain button using the submit control type. I found several submit format choices (XML, PDF, etc.). I saved the file in a variety of the choices but could not get Adobe Reader to send the format versions. FDF was not a choice. XML works but I would rather see the full form directly as an email attachment instead of taking the extra step of importing the XML data into the form

Can you be more specific about what is needed and how to do it? I just downloaded the trial version of Designer and Document Server 6. I've created the form with a submit button but it ain't working.
I want the "Submit by email" button to do just that - send the viewable .pdf (not just the data).
To take a step back - I can't even get the darn button to send anything. I have the info entered correctly in Designer but when the buttons clicked, an error msg. reads: "An error occured while sending mail". That tells me a whole lot of nothing. Is it because it's the trial version, or is there something else going on?
Anyway can you explain how to use Reader Extension Server in conjunction with Designer?

Sende Button funktioniert nicht bei jedem

folgendes Problem. Ich habe ein Formular erstellt was über einen "Send Button" an eine feste Mailadresse als pdf versendet werden soll.
Bei mir selbst auf dem PC funktioniert das ganze auch aber bei anderen passiert nichts wenn der send button geklickt wird.
kann mir jemand helfen? Meine Kollegin hat die Reader Version 9 und ich den Reader und den Pro 9

Das ich da einen fetzigen Titel unter meinem Bild stehen habe, ändert da gar nix dran. Klartext: Du suchst einfach an der falschen Stelle nach dem Problem. Das hat weder was mit Adobe zu tun noch damit, dass ich dir irgendwas vorenthalten will. Das sind ganz elementare Grundmechanismen in deinem Betriebssystem und das ist der Punkt, den du hier nicht verstehst. Da kannste noch fünfmal den Support nerven, die erzählen dir auch nix anderes, denn eigentlich steht es ja auch eindeutig in der Hilfe. Aber gut, ich bin weg hier. Kindergarten muss ich nicht haben...

TPT2 nach Reset, Audio funktioniert nicht mehr
Hallo zusammen
Ich besitzte eine Thinkpad Tablet 2 (Win 8.1). Nach dem Reset funktioniert die Audioausgabe nicht mehr. Beim Lautsprechersymbol erscheint ein "X", mit der Maus erscheint die Meldung "Es ist kein Audioausgabegerät installiert".
Mein bisheriger Lösungsversuch war, für die beiden Audiogeräte (Bluetooth für Stereoplayer und Realtek I2S Audio Codec) die alten Treiber zu deinstallieren und die neusten von der Lenovo Seite zu installieren. Leider ohne Erfolg.
Beim Geräte-Manage wird unter "Andere Geräte" ein unbekanntes Gerät angezeigt, welches sich unter Eigenschaften als "acpi\intc33b3\3" identifiziert.
Kann mir jemand helfen?

der Acrobat Reader XI stürzt jedesmal ab, wenn der Vorherige Ansicht Button geklickt wird (nur bei Sprache=Deutsch!).
Es soll hier in ein vorheriges verlinktes Dokument gesprungen werden.
Wird die Tastenkombination alt + nach-links-Taste benutzt, funktioniert es wunderbar.
Die Funktion fehlte übrigens in der Version X (oder sie war sehr gut versteckt), nachdem diese Funktion bis zur Version 9 ohne Probleme funktionierte.
So gesehen sind die Versionen X und XI aus meiner Sicht nicht wirklich Weiterentwicklungen und der Spruch einem geschenkten Gaul schaut man nicht ins Maul stimmt nur bedingt.

Sprachausgabe funktioniert nicht
Hallo,
leider funktioniert in meinem Acrobat Reader die Sprachausgabe nicht.
Ich kann weder die Sprache (Deutsch) bei den Voreinstellungen auswählen
noch kann ich unter dem Punkt Lesen eine Stimme auswählen.
Kann mir jemand helfen bei diesem Problem?

YaseminÜber Windows 7 kann ich es nicht sagen, am Mac funktioniert die deutsche Sprachausgabe nicht. Ich habe den Bug gemeldet, aber für XI wurde es nicht geschafft, das funktionsfähig zu machen.

zunächtsmal möchte ich mich im voraus für mein mittelmässiges Deutsch entschuldigen, falls Ihnen etwas Eigenartiges vorkommt liegt es daran, dass ich seit Jahren immer nur noch am "Versuchen" bin, Deutsch zu sprechen/lesen/schreiben. Die meisten Deutschen finden einen netten Weg, das zu übersehen, vielleicht Sie ja auch!
Könnten Sie mir etwas Näheres über dieses Problem beschildern, und zwar:
- Betriebssystem-Version komplett mit evt. "sp's" (service patches) beschreiben
- sind ältere Versionen von Reader oder Acrobat präsent auf Ihr System?
- wäre es möglich mir "offline" (email o.Ä.) die zwei Dateien zukommenzulassen, woauf dieses Problem sich 100% der Zeit vorkommt
- wäre es ausserdem mögich die genauen Schritten zu Beschreiben, die unmittelbar vor dem Crash kommt? Oben beschreiben Sie ja eine Tastenkombination, die zum Absturz führt, aber es wäre auch interessant - insbesondere wenn das Problem NICHT 100% immer vorkommt - zu wissen, welche andere Werkzeuge, Funktionen, Vorgänge usw vorhergekommen sind.
Können Sie mir ausserdem sagen oder erklären, was dieser Satz bedeutet: "So gesehen sind die Versionen X und XI aus meiner Sicht nicht wirklich Weiterentwicklungen und der Spruch einem geschenkten Gaul schaut man nicht ins Maul stimmt nur bedingt." Meinen Sie, weil Sie ja diesen Absturz erlebt haben, dass dies die vielen neuen Funktionen, neue UI, neue Tools, usw, in Reader X und Reader XI für Sie völlig negiert sind?

Form Reset Button.. works in Pro., Doesn't in Reader
I created a form in MS Word 2007 and converted to Actobat Pro 9.2.0 and included a reset and print button.
When opening the document in Reader 8.1.3, the reset button only resets some of the fields, although all of the fields are checkmarked in the reset dialog. Also, when I click the print button, nothing happens. I've created dozens of Acrobat forms with reset and print buttons and this is the first time I've noticed that they aren't working in Reader.
Both functions work fine in Pro. Yes, I am sure that the button behavior is linked to a specific action such as >File>Print for the Print Button. This happens on more than one computer, so I don't think the problem lies with just my machine.
Any ideas?As a test, what happens if you replace the Reset Form action with the following JavaScript?

USING FORM BUTTONS IN ADOBE ACROBAT/READER
Hello, I am using Adobe Acrobat Std XI to create a form that Adobe Readers will be filling in. Everything works in the form except for the button I inserted to allow the user to reset/clear the form. The button works fine in Acrobat but it is no working in Reader. I have tried saving the file as Reader Extended version, I have tried the file protected and not protected and I cannot get the button to work in Reader. Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong or is this simply because I'm working with Acrobat XI Standard and not Pro?

Hopefully the above link will work for you. I just tested it and it seems to work fine. The reset button is on the second page of the form.

Adobe Reader X funktioniert nicht einwandfrei

Der Adobe Reader zeigt mir schon seit jetzt ungefähr 1-2 Wochen an "Update is ready to install".
Wenn ich das dann aber bestätige, kommt die Meldung "Update failed".
Da auch nach mehreren Neustarts und erneuten Versuchen das Update durchzuführen immer derselbe Fehler auftauchte, habe ich es irgendwann ignoriert.
Leider funktioniert der Adobe Reader jetzt gar nicht mehr. Wenn ich eine PDF öffnen möchte kommt folgende Meldung:
Allerdings kann ich auch nicht einfach den vorhanden Adobe Reader deinstallieren, genau so wenig, wie ich eine neuere Version installieren kann.
Immer kommen die Meldungen:
"Die Datei wurde wahrscheinlich bereits auf andere Weise aktualisiert [...]" Das habe ich, soweit ich weiß, nicht gemacht.
Was kann ich tun, um das Problem zu lösen?
Wie gesagt Neustart, deinstallieren oder eine Neuinstallation habe ich schon probiert.

Kann es sein, dass Du die authplay.dll umbenannt oder gelöscht hast, um potentielle Sicherheitsprobleme mit dem integrierten Flashplayer zu umgehen? Wenn ja, benenn sie wieder um oder besorg Dir eine Kopie von einem anderen Rechner und probier die Deinstallation erneut - evtl. nach einem Reboot.
Sollte das auch nicht helfen, würde ich an Deiner Stelle folgendermaßen (ziemlich rabiat) vorgehen:
1. Den aktuellen Reader von http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ herunterladen.
2. Rechner neu starten, falls der Reader schon einmal im Browser oder separat ausgeführt worden ist und noch irgendwelche Dateien im Systemzugriff sein sollten.
3. Die Registry sichern:
Start - Ausführen - regedit - OK
Zum Schlüssel HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\10.0 navigieren und 10.0 anklicken.
Dann in der Menüleiste Datei - Exportieren... klicken und die Registrierungsdatei sichern
4. Den Schlüssel HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\10.0 löschen
5. Das Verzeichnis C:\Program Files (X86)\Adobe\Reader 10.0 umbenennen, z.B. in "Reader 10.0.OLD"
6. Den Adobe Reader über das Startmenü aufrufen. Danach sollte er sich automatisch neu installieren und anschließend öffnen.
Sollte 6. nicht funktioniert haben, dann ab Punkt 3. von vorne beginnen und 6. weglassen.
Statt dessen den unter 1. heruntergeladenen Reader installieren.
Sollte auch das nicht funktionieren, kannst Du die unter 3. gesicherte .REG-Datei durch Doppelklick wieder in die Registry importieren und dem umbenannten Programmverzeichnis wieder seinen ursprünglichen Namen geben.
Ich habe beide Varianten hier auf einem Windows 7-Test-Rechner ausprobiert, und es hat problemlos funktioniert. Zu Deiner Beruhigung kann ich sagen, dass ich die o.g. Schritte auch auf meinem persönlichen PC ohne zu zögern ausführen würde, wenn mich eine Software dermaßen nervt

The PDF file was created in Acrobat 11, with a submit button. The submit button is actioned to send the form via email. It works perfectly by itself if the form is opened in Acrobat Reader, but once I upload the PDF to my WordPress site the submit button is greyed out, and will not complete the action to send on-click.
How can I fix this please - can anyone offer advice?Yes. They need to download Reader and then disable Google Chrome's internal PDF viewer and enable Adobe Reader.
FireFox should also be configured to use Adobe Reader and not the internal PDF viewer.
The internal viewers are created to process PDF documents by not including the features and code to process PDF forms. -
I have a Verizon-branded Samsung Galaxy S5, which means a lot of Verizon apps were added from the factory install.
Recently I upgraded Adobe Acrobat Reader to its most recent version.
When I clicked on the floating action button to open a PDF, it launched Verizon Cloud instead of showing my file directory.
Unless I disabled Verizon Cloud altogether, every time I did this, I would get the Verizon Cloud app instead of a file listing.
Reader DC is the only app that does such a thing. Is this a defect?Thanks for the information.
To remove the Verizon cloud storage from Adobe Acrobat DC application, you can 'Turn off' the Verizon cloud application from 'Settings'-->'Application Manager'-->'All applications'. After doing this, every time you tap on the Floating Action button, you will be presented the list of all your pdf files on your device.
If you would like to view both the Verizon cloud based files as well as files from your internal memory/SD card, I would request you to download some file manager application from the Google Play Store such as And Explorer, ES File Explorer etc. After doing this, whenever you will tap on the floating action button, you will be provided an option to open the files either from the Verizon cloud or the files on your device.

Indesign CS4 button flashes after exported to PDF and viewed in Acrobat Reader/Professional X

Greetings!
I've encountered this odd problem when preparing my portfolio.
I've created some 40 buttons in InDesign CS4 (all according to the official tutorial) to Show/Hide Fields (specificly images), and navigate through the pages.
The buttons all have their own Normal and Rollover states, but no Click states.
After exporting the file to PDF, I tested the buttons in Acrobat Reader 9 and Acrobat Pro 9, and both the actions and the states worked fine.
BUT that's not the case with Acrobat Reader X or Acrobat Pro X.
The actions are still there, showing the images and navigating, but the states are not!
The buttons' rollover states just flashes when the mouse hover above them, and even in Normal state, they kept *blinking* randomly.
Frustrated for a week.
PS. I suspected and used a Indesign file with only one simple button to rule out the following:
1. Overlapping buttons
2. Slow processing due to large image size
3. Mishandling of transparency

Not sure if this will help anyone, but I changed the button fill color to white and it seemed to fix the flicker. I exported each state from indesign as a PDF and recreated the button from scratch. This still had the flicker. I'm guessing something strange is happening with the transparancy of the states.

i just bought a new iMac and used a firewire at the initial set up to transfer all the information from my last iMac G5 to my new iMac. It had iLife 06', and now I think that my new iMac that is supposed to have iLife 08' is running on the 06' stuff.
