Attempting to reset sync. "Pair a Device" will not allow me to "continue."

I deactivated my computer and am now attempting to reactivate it to use Sync. I followed the instructions: Tools > set up sync > I have an account. The "Pair a Device" screen comes up with the code. However, the "continue" button is greyed out and will not function.

Both devices need to be online at the same time if you want to pair a device with the (3x4) 12-character code.
Sync needs to be set up and working on at least one (desktop) computer, so you can enter the 12-character code, provided by the device (computer) that you want to pair, in three fields to pair a device on the computer that has a working Sync setup.
Enter all details like the account name (email address) and password and the 26-character Sync key manually to connect to an existing sync account instead of using the 12-character code to pair a device if pairing isn't possible.
# open "Tools > Options > Sync" or "Firefox > Set Up Sync"
# click "Set Up Firefox Sync" to go to "Firefox Sync Setup"
# click "I Have an Account" : Connect
# click "I don't have the device with me" at the bottom to enter the account settings (email, password, sync key)

In order to download to your phone over the air, you need to be connected to WiFi.
It's possible the Internet connection through Verizon is not stable enough for the downlaod to begin (it is a very large download).
You might want to head over to Starbucks with your laptop for the afternoon and see if you can download it over their WiFi.

Hi All, I reluctantly upgraded to IOS 7.1.1 on my IPAD last night , reluctant as every upgrade which promises fixes which dont impact me causes problems that do , which I fix via this community. Today I can no longer access my WIFI at home, my non Apple devices all work fine.I have tried all the online suggestions I can find for this, reset facgtory settings, it will not allow me to 'forget this network', I try to reconnect and it asks for my password which I know is correct and it says it cannot access my network. It can access an unsecured one I believe, but that is not ideal. Any fresh suggestions would be really welcome, please. Many thanks

It will not charge properly, it has to be in a exact position to charge and even then go's off and on. I thought this my be my charger but the charger works fine on another phone. it will not allow texts to come through properly and sometimes will not not let me ring people it just freezes and i have to turn it off and on a couple of times in order for it to work. it will not let me update apps and the silent button is not silent it still go's of on ringer.The keyboard will freeze up not allowing me to type anything. It wants me to pay £126.44 for it to be repaire when i have nothing to do with why its not working!

At my work I have attempted to install the update to Creative Cloud but it will not allow me to. After it attempts to install, it will bring up the message: "Administrator privileges are required to continue with installation. (Error code: 3)" Obviously I need administrator approval to install, but the problem is at no point in the install process does it bring a prompt to enter admin credentials so it won't allow the install. The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos. Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (Although the procedure is for Vista and 7 and you've got XP, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

Read the HT5312 page that you posted from, it has instructions for how to reset them i.e. if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then steps 1 to 5 half-way down that page should give you a reset link.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use
