Reset exchange password
Hi.. I really need some help. I am trying to reset or recover my password to "Exchange" on my Ipad. Can someone please tell me how to get this done.
You can't reset or recover a password to unlock the device.
If you have forgotten the password and need to unlock the device, You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.
Instructions can be found here.
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
You may have to use recovery mode if that didn't work.

How do you reset the exchange password?
If this is a work email account, most likely your using an Active Directory Account that is associated with your mail account. Try logging onto a PC and changing your password on your account. It is likely tied in to your mail password. Otherwise, the simple (and unhelpful) answer is login to your exchange server and change your accounts password.

I reset my exchange password and now I am getting an error message saying the password is incorrect on my ipad. I can't cancel the message to get to settings to change it.
Try pressing the sleep and home buttons both together for about 5 seconds and reboot the device. Once the iPad reboots you should be able to go into the mail settings for that account and update the credentials.

+91 9566958700You would have to assign Admin role permission to users in EAC.
To understand this concept in more depth, I would refer you at this well described article : http://www.mustbegeek.com/reset-user-password-in-exchange-2013/
Or, you may use any third party like, (http://www.selfservicepasswordreset.org/) that seems to be an appropriate approach in your environment. This tool allows end-users to perform self password reset
and self account unlock from any computer in the network through a web-browser or directly from the login screen without any assistance from the administrator. Administrator can configure strong policy for automatic account unlock and automatic reset
password at a specified time for any particular domain OU's. -
HT2480 How can I reset my exchange password?
I just had my iPhone 4S replaced. Came home and restored backup via iCloud. My gmail will not connect and keep getting and " enter your exchange password" message. I enter what should be the password and it doesn't allow. I have deleted my gmail account on my phone and then added. Using my correct gmail information.
Turning off 2 step verification and instantly worked!

HT201412 how can you reset your password to simple 4 digit format?
How can your reset your password to simple format without reseting the whole phone?
Turn off passcode, then re-enable such. Note: if you have an Exchange account, the requirement to use a non-simple passcode can be enforced by a profile installed on your phone when setting up the Exchange account.

How can I get into settings if I don't have the exchange password for my iPod Touch
I can't update my iPod Touch, 4th gen. through iTunes because it says it can't connect. I can't get into my settings because it keeps asking for an exchange password that I don't remember. Is there some way I can reset the iPod without having access to either of these means?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
Restoreing from backup will not change the need for the forgotton password if the backup was made with password on the iPod
To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -
IOS 5.1 Exchange Password Issue
I have searched and read serveral forums lately about this issues however I've been unable to figure out a soultion. It seems every morning the iOS 5 will get a password prompt saying the exchange password is incorrect. When I go to work and connect to the wireless at work my email will start to work, at the end of the day when I go home the email still works on the iPad 2, it's only the next day it won't work. Now, I have another iPad running iOS 4.3.5 that is also configured with my Exchange account and always works at home (I never take it too work), no issues. I have compared the settings (domain, email server, etc) and they are both correct. The only difference that I can see is one is running iOS5 and the other is running iOS 4.
I have also tried the following:
- disabled iCloud account
- created the Exchange account serveral times <- When I do this evern at home, it will always work afterwards, it's not till the next day that I get an error message the password is incorrect.
- Reset the iPad 2, didn't setup iCloud during the setup, setup Exchange - email will work until the next day.
Does anyone have any other suggestions on what I can do for this to work correctly on iOS 5?
JamesI solved my the problem by creating another account in Exchange, then open up iCloud change the default email address to this new email address and everything started to work fine on the iPad.
Since we don't use iCloud and I can't delete the account, this was the simpliest solution. -
Cannot get past a exchange password issue
Help! Once I log into my Ipad I cannot go past a password sign-in for my exchange email. I have reset the password at work and tried logging in with the new password but no change.
I'm having the same issue. I have to change my exchange password every 3 months at work and I have to do it on the work computer. If I could get to Settings on my iPad I could enter the new password, but I can't get past the error message; hitting cancel only works for a second. How do you get around this?

My ipad2 makes me reset my password almost every week. I don't get it!

I can't reset the password to be able to use my ipad2.
Are you able to get into the iPad but can't change the passcode, or can't you get into the iPad because you can't remember the passcode ?
If the former then have you got an Exchange email account on the iPad ?
If the latter then you will need to connect the iPad to the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the iPad and re-sync your content to it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) - you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 -
Am unable to access anything on iPad because it tells me my exchange password is incorrect
I couldn't get past the dialog box in order to delete since it seemed to be stuck in some sort of loop.. I found the answer under "More like this". Had to do a reset (hold power and home buttons for 10 seconds). When iPad eventually came back to life, the dialog box was gone and I was able to get into Settings and reset the password. All fixed now!

Why do I have to keep resetting my password?
Just two weeks ago I had to reset my password for unknown reasons. Tonight, I get on my desktop and my messages app is up and telling to put in my password. I entered my password and it told me it was incorrect. After checking my email, I found a message that said I changed my password; I had not changed my password. At that point I did change it. I then logged onto my iCloud on the desktop without a problem. Next, I go to my iPhone to change the password on it, and it won't accept it. What is the deal? This has happened at least several times just within the last six months. It's really getting old. Of course Apple support is useless because it is out of 30 days or whatever cheap help they give.
Apple will never require you to change your password. However, if you have a corporate MS Exchange email account on the phone your IT administrator can require you to change your password.
Since you say your credit card information is gone also, it is likely that someone has hacked your account. -

Can anyone explain to me how to transfer emails from my iphone to a PC.
The only catch is that the email account exchange password and account has been cancelled.
However as some of you may know your emails still remain on the iphone.
It means you can acces them and seach through your emails.
I want to be able to place these emails on to a PC.
Thanks all for your help.Everytime I open my email the password Incorrect screen appears. It says "Enter the password for the Exchange account "Exchange"". I have a second email address that was being transferred to my Iphone, but when I lost my original phone and replaced it this July, I hav'nt been able to retrieve this old password. The Apple store rep said to contact Microsoft for this info, but that's next to impossible!! I had a very old hotmail account but that's been closed for over two years, and my other email adress has nothing to do with them. So I'm at a loss on how to change this password??
