Hi. I am having difficulty deleting photos from icloud - which in turn affects my 3rd generation ipad. Photos were added to icloud from my pc and then automatically added to ipad. I deleted photos from pc (not successful), attempted to reset icloud photo stream on ipad (not successful) and would appreciate any guidance as to how to remove these photos from an ipad that does not give me the option to do so. Well, I created a new Apple ID and I put money on it, I wanted to sign into ICloud and it wouldn't let me sign in due to the usage of too many Apple IDs created. The point for logging into the ICloud was to save my photos before I reset my phone.

Bad idea.
Content bought with an Apple ID is forever associated with that Apple ID. Apple will not transfer content from one Apple ID to another and Apple will not merge Apple IDs. Unless you are prepared to forfeit all the previously purchased content and buy it all again with the new Apple ID, you will need to maintain the old ID to update and redownload your content.

not at all, to be sure though sync photos to itunes or icloud so you can always get them back.

It is peculiar, that Chrome, Safari, and Skype can access FB, but not the iPhoto uploader.
Do you see any error messages/ diagnostics in the Console Window, when you try to connect to Facebook?
Launch a Console window from Applications > Utilities and clear the Console Window. Then try to upload. Are there any new messages?
And also launch a Terminal and have a look, if "facebook.com" is properly resolved:

Photo File Names Reset After Every Synch with iPhoto

I have iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.0.1
This only started happening in the last couple weeks: every time I synch-and-delete my photos with iPhoto (6.0.6), it resets the "file name" counter on the photos I take on the phone. I've been using this version of iPhoto and synch-and-delete as my photo saving method since I got the phone and before it would always remember the last photo number taken. Now I am ending up with dozens of photos in my library called "IMG_0001" etc, which is very frustrating when I want to move photos anywhere as a batch.
Is this a new "feature" for iOS4? I can't find any settings that could be causing it on the phone.

I noticed the same problem today when I tried to export my iphone pictures from iphoto into a folder with other iphone pictures from last week.

it seemed to have backed up everything just before the software update 6.1.4. so after the full restore i restored from backup and its all still there (mostly)

Restoring Photos after iPod reset

I had to reset my iPod (to the same user).
Almost everything came back or was saved in iTunes -- so I was able to restore my iPod, almost completely. *Except for Photos.* Only the "Saved Photos" came back.
Is there *any way to restore the images* I had in "Photos" *before the reset???*

How can i Restore Photo's from my previous Iphone 4s icloud back up!!!

Hello guys i am new to apple discussion but here goes...
last month i had to get my iphone 4s replaced but before i did i made a back up on icloud, when i go on icloud on my new iphone, then go to manage storage it says i have 2 back ups, 1 from this iphone & 1 for my first iphone the thing is i would like my photos from my 1st iphone 4s backup either on my computer or my phone any ideas... nothing else just the things from photo roll i can quite clearly see the back up is there just carnt access it :s
All in all i really would like my photos from my previous icloud back up restored some how,

You can't just restore the photos, you would have to restore the entire backup, then import the photos to your computer, then restore to your current backup to get your current data back. This will be a somewhat lenghty process.
If you want to do this, first back up your phone to iCloud as it is now (Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Back Up Now). When done, go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. Next go through the setup screens on your phone and when given the option choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below), choosing your old backup to restore from.
After restoring, import the photos to your computer as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Then Erase All Content and Settings again, go back through the setup screens again choosing Restore from iCloud Backup, and this time choose your current backup to restore from. This will return the phone to its current state. Finally, if you want the photos you recovered back on your phone, put them in a folder on your computer, then select the folder to sync to your phone on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and sync your phone.

Would doing the "Reset" under General settings do that? When I returned from Europe I reset my ipad to get it in the right time zone etc.

Reboot. Press and hold the home and sleep buttons until the apple logo appears. Ignore the red slider.

Why won't iCloud load my photos

I have an ipad, iphone, and mac. All are signed on with the same icloud address. However it takes days for photos to update. I have wifi enabled and devices set to update over wifi. Used to work fine. I didn't change anything but it works poorly now.

If the photos aren't appearing in your my photo stream album shortly after you take a new photo, you might try unplugging your wifi router for 15 seconds and plugging it back in, then going to Settings>General>Reset on your devices and tapping Reset Network Settings. This erases passwords for previously joined networks so you will have to rejoin your wifi again. Then take a new photos and see if it uploads more quickly now.
If that doesn't help, try saving your photo stream photos to your camera roll (unless already there), then going to Settings>iCloud>Photos and turn off My Photo Stream and turn it back on.

If you backed up your phone, restoring the backup will restore the photos that were in your camera roll. If you didn't, all you can do is sign back into your iCloud account and enable photo stream. That will allow you to access photo stream photos from the last 30 days.

Well, typically one of the fixes that I would suggest is to try to delete the waiting icons. WIFi in a public places like McDonalds, Starbucks, B&N, etc. is not the greatest and I would avoid those places for downloading and updating apps. But I do realize that not everybody has access to Wifi in their homes.
These are all things that have worked at one time or another for other users. Hopefull one of them will work for you. Just ignore whatever does not apply or anything that you have already tried.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

Can a family member use my iCloud storage for photos?

Hope I'm not being obtuse, but the answer to this isn't clear to me from the various "help" menus.
The situation is complicated by my living 50 miles from my elderly father.
I need about 50 GB for my photos, but have to pay for 200, of course.
So, is there a way for my Dad, who is a member of my iCloud/App/Whatever family to move HIS photo library from HIS computer to MY iCloud account without having to purchase more iCloud space for his personal account? (His photo library also - barely - exceeds the limit of the next increment of storage available so that i'll have to buy him 200GB if there isn't a way to share the storage from my iC account.
Hope this question is understandable - I don't know how else to frame it.
