Reset printer config back to default, want to reuse ePrint email address

Hello,
I have an HP LaserJet 200 ColorMFP 276nw that I had associated to an ePrint email address.  I forgot what I set the Admin password to, so I had to reset the printer to default settings (turned printer off, pressed and held on the lower-left part of the touch screen, turned printer on until it read "Permanent storage init.").
Once that was done, I re-installed web services and added ePrint back to the printer.  Now I'm trying to use the same ePrint address that the printer had before, and I keep getting told that the address is already taken.
Is there a way to keep that address, or do I have to use a new one?
Thanks,
Michael

Hello Michael,
Thank you for joining the HP Support community.  I understand that you had to reset your Laserjet 200 and during the process lost your ePrint email address.
That ePrint email address will not become available again, you will need to use/create a new one. I'm sorry if this has caused any inconvenience.

How can I change it when I cannot view it on my account. I am not even sure how this got setup.

If you mean your rescue email address, it's in the Passwords and Security section, after you answer the two security questions.

I believe part of the recovery process is you get an e-mail allowing you to reset questions.  If that e-mail isn't correct either because your son set it up then you really have no option but to ask Apple again.  They are getting strict abotu security and given the number of "My iTunes account got hacked" posts here I can guess why.  They have no way of knowing you really are the owner of the account.  It's like me going to a policeman and saying, "See that car over there?  That is mine, can you open the door for me?" and the police opening it on that basis alone.

  • I'm trying to update my apps but itunes is defaulting to an old deleted email address, how can I change it?

I'm trying to update my apps on my ipad, but when I go to updates itunes has suddenly defaulted to an old deleted email address, how can I fix this? When I go into settings on my ipad the email address is correct, it's just itunes thats causing a problem. Can someone please help, I cant access the deleted email address and when I try to answer the security questions Apple is telling me that I have entered the incorrect date of birth.....I haven't forgotten my date of birth.... this is so frustrating. What can I do?????

Is it a different account e.g. did you update your account with a new email address or did you create a new account ? If you updated your existing account then try logging out of the account by tapping on the id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app and then log back in and see if the updated id then shows in the Purchased tab.
If you created a new account then all apps (and any other content) downloaded by the old account will remain tied to the old account, and only that old account can download updates to its apps (and/or redownload its purchases). If you can't remember its password, and can't get the security questions reset (you don't have a rescue email address on the account ?), then you have need to contact Support in your country to get the questions and password reset.

  • Lost ePrint email address -- how to get it back?

I registered my printer in ePrint service the other day. I picked my own email address (like [email protected]). Then had some issues with my printer after which its configuration was reset. When I restored my configuration and opened ePrint Center site it turned out that.... my printer is not registered in ePrint Center any longer!! I added my printer again but then I learned that I could not use my old ePrint email address I had before It informed me that it is already used by someone else (most likely it is locked as it belonged to myself before I my printer was reset).
Is there a way to get my old email address back? I really need it as it has been already distributed among my clients etc. I tried to contact HP support, but when provided my printer number and serial it yelled at me that my warranty expired on Oct 2012 (it bought it in a store on Aug 2012). I provided my proof of purchase on their site 6 days ago -- but they have not responded until now. Please advise!

Hello, once this happens the email address will be locked for 6 months. Generally eprint is designed for consumers, and not to be used in a business as this type of thing can happen. A better option may be to have the emails go to a normal email account, and see if you can set up autoforwarding to the printer. This way you will also have a saved copy of any email on file as well.
Forwarding can sometimes cause issues with eprint however, so i would test the settings first to ensure it will work properly.

  • I have had to semi-reset and reinstall my hp6500a plus. How do I keep the same eprint email address?

I have had a network blowup and a new computer and was told to do a semi-reset and full install on my Inkjet hp6500a plus. How do I keep the same eprint email address which I have given out to a number of people? When I did the install I seem to have been re-assigned a new @hpprint address and can't find how to change it back.

    Hi,
I affraid you will not be able to use the same address.
Due to security reasons any removed ePrint address (due to Web Services removal, product reset or product replacement) is blocked for any user for 6 months period.
You may select a difference customized address by following the steps below:

  • I want to change the email address for iTunes Store

I want to change my email address for the iTunes Store

You can update the primary email address on your account by tapping on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store on your phone and tapping 'view apple id' on the popup and logging into it, or by logging into it via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes or via http://appleid.apple.com
If you do change it you may then need to log out on your other devices (tap on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store) and computers (Store > Sign Out menu option) and then log back in with the updated version

  • How can I re-use my ePrint email address after deleting and re-adding ENVY 110 print services?

I recently had to delete and re-add my ENVY 110 series printer (D411c) to ePrint in an attempt  to solve a Web Services connectivity problem, and now I cannot re-use my original ePrint email address.  Is there a way to reset the address or am I stuck with a new one?

You are stuck with the new one.  The old one will be released for use after 6 months.

Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I want to change the email address used as rescue email for my security questions. But I can't remember the answers to the security questions and I dont have access to the rescue email anymore. Please help.

-If you established a rescue email address, there will be a link on the "Passwords & Security" page of id.apple.com.  Clicking the link will send the reset to your rescue email address (NOTE:  This is not the same address as your Apple ID email)
-If there is no link on the page, then you didn't establish a rescue email address.  Contact AppleCare at 800.694.7466 (If you are in the US), and ask for account security.  You will need to answer some questions to verify your identity, AND you will need access to a computer to generate a temporary support pin.

  • Want to change the email address I used to setup Icloud initiatally.  Can I do that? If I change apple ID do I lose all information in Icloud now?

want to change the email address I used to setup Icloud initiatally.  Can I do that? If I change apple ID do I lose all information in Icloud now?

You can change the login ID address, provided that it is not an @icloud.com, @me.com or @mac.com address. You will need to sign out on all your computers/devices and sign back in again with the new ID.
However, once you have created an iCloud account and chosen an @icloud.com address to go with it you can't change the address (short of creating an entirely new account).
All is not lost, though. You can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.) (New aliases can only be @icloud.com ones; @me.com addresses cannot now be created.)
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account, move it to another account, or reactivate it if you delete it.

  • My iPad cannot back up to iCloud without a verified email address. I can't press anything. Is it a technical problem?

It shows my iPad cannot back up to iCloud without a verified email address. I touched Later and Settings but it's not working and I can't even switch it off or anything. What should I do?

If your iPad is unresponsive, reset it by holding the power and home buttons until you see the Apple logo, then release.

  • HT1918 I want to update my email address but it says that "This email cannot be the same as your Rescue Email".

I already removed it as my Rescue Email but still don't accept it. I don't wanna make new email address and I also don't want to make a new Apple ID because I have purchases in that account. I just want to change my email address because I'm no longer using the email address of my Apple Id so i would like to change it to my present email address. What to do?

After removing it as your rescue email address did you try logging out and then back into your account to see if that then allows you to use it as your main address ?

  • How do I delete stored email addresses in my iphone? When sending photos, I don't want to have certain email addresses  "popping up" from the internal memory, I've deleted my entire "Contact" list but they still appear.  Help please!

How do I delete stored email addresses in my iphone? When sending photos, I don't want to have certain email addresses  "popping up" from the internal memory, I've deleted my entire "Contact" list but they still appear.  Help please!

As with the Mail app on a Mac, the iPhone's Mail app stores all email recipients in a list of previous recipients which is separate from the address book or contacts. The email address autofill feature when addressing an message pulls from Contacts and from the list of previous recipients.
Different from the Mail app on a Mac, there is no access to the list of previous recipients with iOS on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to remove a previous recipient from the list, or to add a previous recipient to the address book or contacts that is not already entered - not at the present time anyway.
The only way to purge the list of previous recipients at the present time is by restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, which will start being re-populated again with every sent message.

  • I want to delete my icloud-account from my iphone 5 and then register again, because I want to change my email-address/account name. What would be the steps to follow? How do I make sure I do not lose any information stored on/in my iphone 5?

I want to delete my icloud-account from my iphone 5 and then register again, because I want to change my email-address/account name. What would be the steps to follow? How do I make sure I do not lose any information stored on/in my iphone 5?

You would have to delete the existing iCloud account and create a wholly new one - you cannot change the @icloud.com email address of the one you already have.  To make a new one, you will also need an new AppleID as any AppleID can only have one iCloud account associated with it.
Deleting the account will not delete anything off your device (if prompted for things like contacts, choose to keep them).  You will have to sync everything anew with the new account as you cannot move your sync'd content, your old backups or anything else from one iCloud account to another.  You will have to set up sync again and let it sync to the new account, and then make new backups to the new account as well.
