Reset timer for FF on a kiosk computer
I have public computer with FireFox. People can use it for free and as long as thy like. Normely this is not a big problem but some times people stay for ever on the PC. So I like to put a reset timer on mij forefox that it close al the tabs and goes back to the home page, it may close as well. I looks in the about:config and ad-ons but I can't realy find a reset function wen the computer is active.

Thank you for your question. I understand that you would like to sync all of your devices. Please make sure that all of the devices are updated at least to version 29.
If you were on a version before this, you will have to set up a new email and password with the new sync.

After I changed time from winter to summer on my desktop, information about the time when I sent or receive e-mail using Firefox Internet browser and Google mail client is one hour off:
When I check my SENT box, there is information about my immediate recent message that suggests that it has been sent out an hour ago.
I tried to find relevant Google mail client's and Firefox Internet browser settings, but couldn't.
What should I do?

If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

You can use iChat to Video to PCs that are using the AIM for PC app or have the Trillian App with the Pro Add-on (which costs).
As you list OS 10.7.4 you may find you can find a copy of the Messages Beta (technically it was withdrawn before the release date for Mountain Lion that has the Full version)

iPad constantly glitching/freezing/crashing/parts of screen unresponsive - time for a factory reset OR a trip to the Apple store???
My son has nothing but problems with his iPad Mini. It is less than a year old and it constantly freezes/crashes/glitches and parts of the screen are unresponsive. This happens while playing games, watching movies, surfing the net etc etc
The iPad has been in a heavy duty Survivor case from day 1 and has been very well taken care of - so I don't think it's a damage issue
I have tried numerous resets (just holding the 2 buttons) and have disabled every feature on the iPad that might be causing memory/RAM issues (?) all to no avail.
I haven't tried resetting to factory settings as I don't want to lose all the data on the iPad (mostly his game achievements and Minecraft maps that he has worked so hard on!!!)
SO - any suggestions:
1) Take it in to the Apple Store - I have never gone to Apple over an issue, is this possibly covered by warranty???
2) Factory Reset - If I do this can I save all his game achievements/data???

ToddTry this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Resetting CMOS Each Time for Boot
Not sure where to begin. This is my second or third build. I never had problems until now. They were always smooth sailing till now. I have my computer specs listed below. Just going to explain what is going on. I just received my new RMA from newegg for this board. MSI 990FXA-GD80 V2 AM3+. When I first boot it up, works perfectly fine. But once I restart the computer it will not display anything on the monitor. Just a black screen. I have to clear the CMOS each time for it to finally boot up in the bios. I've tried manually setting some of the voltages but I'm no expert in this. I'm really hoping I'm just a complete retard and I'm missing something very important. I haven't been able to work on this computer that much because I've been so busy and I'm cutting it close at this point for a 30 Day RMA through Amazon for certain parts. Than I have some from newegg cutting it close. Ill be staying up till about 3am tonight so hopefully I can get something done or in the right direction.
I have tested the board outside of the case it does the same thing.
I haven't tested the PSU because I don't have the tools or an extra PSU unfortunately.
I'm hoping its something simple, but... I know it probably won't be.

I would love to have your babies now... I tried that earlier but I was doing 1.35v. I was going to do the 1.5V but I was afraid to. Because I wasn't sure if I could really pump that much into it. Its now coming up trying to start my previous OS now. Keeps saying start up normally than that doesn't work. But I'm pretty sure I just need to delete the partition again and start over for that. I already have a flash drive ready for this. But ill need to set up RAID now lol. I've booted it several times now without having to reset the CMOS. It also has both sticks in there now. -
My Time Capsule won't allow my computer to back up. It says it is already in use but that is what it is being used for. It has been working fine for years. All of a sudden I keep getting a message that TC (time capsule) cannot complete back up as it is already in use. I am doing the backups automatically through Time Capsule.
Restart the Time Capsule by disconnecting and reconnecting the power adapter. When it's back online, open the AirPort Utility application and check to see whether there's a firmware update for it.

I recently updated to Yosemite and never had this issue before.I'm not 100% sure of the ins and outs, but it's some sort of known issue between Yosemite, Airport and wifi. All you can do is wait for a fix and keep restarting your equipment as and when needed, unless you have the ability to connect your Mac via ethernet.

Opinions - time for a new computer? need more RAM, Time Machine back up full - get new computer?
I am in a quandary. My early 2008 iMac needs more Ram. I could upgrade from 2gb to 4gb for around $60. My 1T external hard drive for Time Machine is full and I do not relish the idea of it erasing old data if I continue to use it this way, but then I am shelling out more money for a new hard drive. Can get new 3T hd for about $200. Is it worth it to shore up my computer? I have recently upgraded OS to ML and it is really starting to act sluggish. I hate the idea of having to transfer everything over to a new Mac and therefore new OS. I need a working computer every day for business for my husband, so it would be impossible to go without a computer while things are being transferred over - and how long would it take for me to do that. Plus, will files and photos be transferred over exactly as I have organized them? I have spent a lot of time organizing bookmark folders in Safari, mailboxes in Mail and albums and folders in iPhoto. Don't want to start from scratch again. Also don't like the idea that the new iMacs don't have a slot for dvds and cds, playing and burning. I do a lot of this kind of thing. So then I would need to buy a separate thing for doing this as well as the computer itself. Have wondered how many things have changed from ML to Maverick. Another big learning curve???
Would really appreciate any thoughts and opinions. I am a senior citizen and don't know how to sort through this. One thing I think about is that I don't know how much longer I will be living and able to do computer work. I know everything is a risk, but would like some advice even if it is only an opinion.It's probably time for a new machine. You won't have to start from scratch. Migration Assistant will bring over all of your data and apps (some may need to be re-activated using product keys). Depending on how much you actually have, a few hours should be all it takes over Ethernet.
Time Machine should continually erase the oldest backups when it needs space for new ones.
You might want to do both. Upgrade the RAM in the old machine to the max it will take, and buy a new machine as well. If your husband really needs a machine available all the time for business, having a 'spare' is a good thing.
Check out what's available in the refurb store. They are virtually indistinguishable from new retail stock and come with a full warranty. You can save hundreds.

my computer has been seen at Genius bar 6 times for freezing up, reloaded all original settings, all of their diagnostics, and they even sent it to the apple shop where they replaced the battery and logic board. Still freezes after I try to reload iTunes stuff and app stuff from apple, especially iPhoto which is seems to refuse to load and then begins freezing up all over again. Anyone else have this problem. Other than this, I have had absolutely no problems with this computer. Now, it's a file of junk.

Have you checked lately to see how much free space there is on the disk? Especially since iPhoto freezes at launch ...
Click your Apple menu icon top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage
Make sure there's at least 15% free disk space.
And make sure the OS X software is up to date.
Click the Apple top left in your screen.
From the drop down menu click: Software Update
If you have anti virus software installed or are using third party Mac cleaning utiliites, that may be part and parcel of the your problems. -
My iPad won't charge after plugging into my computer and after holding down the power and home button at same time for 10 seconds… Can anybody help? Has IOS7.0 but not the most up-to-date version
It's just the battery sign - nothing else. I've tried to reboot by holding down both power and home key for 10+ seconds, waiting for the apple logo - but nothing happens. It's plugged into the imac at the moment. I tried to recharge it overnight using the normal charger - but no luck. It went dead during a Skype call with a friend - even though it was powered into the mains - albeit at a low battery level at the time
