Reset to the default windows in Sun Studio 10

I have messed around with the window layout in sun studio and I cannot find an option to restore the layout to the default. Can anyone help me?

Yes I had thought of that, but that will delete all the projects I have set up. I was hoping there was less sledgehammery approach.

Did you mean change the Lync: Change the Default Font and Color of Instant Messages just as Edwin said above?
If not, as I know, there is no natural way to change it.
If yes, on the latest version of Lync 2013 client, there is a new option “IM” on Lync client “Options” list. And you need to change the default Font and Color of IM in the interface of “IM”.

I'd like to know if there a way to put this component into library so that others can directly inherit this menu in other FORMS and how to implement it.

Hi,
I found the solution and the post was not properly phrased. There is no need to add menu into library. All we need is to put the compiled menu into Oracle AS and add the menu name the menu module of the given form.

greetings!
every time i start illustrator i encounter a new error.
"the preferences file is corrupt and has been reset to the default settings."
"the corrupt file will be backed up as Adobe illustrator Prefs.err"
this problem manifested after i added some more .ai and .ase files to my swatches directory. i do not believe anything else changed.
not sure how to diagnose the problem. is there a debug mode or something? perhaps an offending file.
an option would be to try remove each added swatch file or folder individually, but this would be a very very time consuming process for me.
i use cs4 on a Macbook pro running Snow Leopard - 10.6.2 and would appreciate your advice.

Every time you close down Illy, the current preferences (which may have been changed while you worked on files) are saved, and every time you start up Illy, those preferences will be used.
Usually, preference corruption probably occurs randomly, caused by the OS, but if something in your files change the preferences to something that is not viable you will get an error like that.
You may press Cmd+Option+Shift during startup, which will replace the current preferences with the defaults, and probably you will get rid of the error message. It is probably not a cure, though.
If the error is persistent, the cure would be to get rid of the offending things in the files you work with.

How do I change the default window color?

Having white screens is too bright for my eyes!! I always change the default window color in Windows (hiss hiss) to a light shade of gray and that setting carries thru to all windows (i.e. Word, Excel, notepad....). Is it possible to do a similar thing with Tiger? I see that I can choose between a couple of "schemes" from a "Desktop and Dashboard Settings" area (or similar - i don't have my mac here now so can't look to see the proper name) but I see no way to alter colors within those schemes. If you can tell me how to change the default color for my windows I will be awfully happy. thanks.

Personally, I wouldn't trust it, and I don't hesitate to try these things most of the time even though they sometimes cause problems. But I've used Unsanity products before and they all require installing a preference pane called APE; Application Enhancement module, and that thing caused me lots of problems for my system, lots of crashes and flakiness. I won't use it again.
But I'm sure there are lots of people using it happily, but if you don't feel confident in dealing with system problems stay away from anything that adds a system preference pane or goes up in the top menu bar at the top (Apple icons excepted) or has to start up with the system.

When I open an existing document it always open too small, I resize it but next time I open it it's small again! Please help! I used to be able to resize them then they stayed that size until I resized it no matter how many times I opened and closed it before upgrading to 3.0!!!!

How to reset the default window size

Hi!
I played around with the different layouts of Adobe Connect Pro and somehow got a real chaos of window sizes and window positions when changing the resolution as well. How can I reset the layout to the default layout settings (window size, window position, which window should appear)? At this moment I cannot move a windows because it's too big to move or resize it.
Is there a possibility to undo these changes?

After I have Firefox loaded it goes to my homepage which is great. When i click on the "plus" sign to open a new tab in my window it defaults to some stupid search engine called "delta search" which I hate and cannot get rid of. I have had issues like this in the past where I just removed the add on and it was fixed. This time I removed the add on and it still shows up. How do I make it so it always opens my home page every new tab I open?

How can I change the default window size of a new message permanently?

The mail window opens up very small and every time I must increase the size manually. I want to be able to set it so it opens larger or at least opens to the saem size as a previous mail window, which is what Mail used to do.
Also, can anyone tell me how to stop that new mail window from opening on the bottom left of my screen? I need to move it in orde to increase the window size. So, 2 default actions that are a psin to constantly deal with.
Is there any guru out there who has had this problem and solved it? Thanks!

How to hide the default windows inherit menu bar

Dear All,
I am using oracle Application server 10g with windows server 2003. with oracle 11g database.
When ever I am accessing the application from client machine through browser i am getting the windows inherit menu bar at the top of the working space of the form.
I want to hide that default menu bar from viewing the application users.
Please help.

Don't think so, short of zapping the preferences file:
But this will take all your settings with it, so be sure it's really what you want. Or just move it temporarily and put it back later.

How do I change the default windows when starting indesign

The default when I start up Indesign is “only the applications bar is showing”. I would like to be able to change the default to having the Tools and Control showing as well as a few windows like pages, styles, swatches, hyperlinks – not ALL of the windows. I’ve tried setting this up when I first open up Indesign and no documents open. But it still changes back to the default whrn I reopen Indesign. Is there anyway to change this?

Help: How to get rid off the default Window menu from FORM screen?

Hi,
I am working on a FORM application. On the very top left of the FORM screen, there is a default Window menu with:
Cascade
Tile Horizontally
Tile Vertically
etc.
The end user will never use it for this application. To make the screen look nicer, is there a way to hid or get rid off it?
Also if possible, I want to hid or get rid off very top "Oracle Developer Forms Runtime - Web"

Set_Window_Property(Forms_MDI_Window, Title, "xyz" );
to change the window title.

Oracle parameter - how to reset to the default value ?

I saw once how to reset the init.ora parameter to the default value with "ALTER SYSTEM" clause. I've read the manual but I couldn't find it.
Do you know how to do it?

ALTER SYSTEM set <parameter> = <value>; - if not using SP file. and also change in int file.
ALTER SYSTEM set <parameter> = <value> scope=<memory or spfile or both> ; - if using SP file.
Only some parameters can be changed this way not all.
