Reseting or cancelling downloads

Does somebody knows how to cancel or reset downloads on Ovi Store? I have a download that is giving me some problems and I can't cancel it.

I saw this somewhere. (sorry cant remember the site) they asked to remove the OVI store from the phone and reinstall it. then the queue get cleared.
I went to Application Manager > Installed Apps > and removed OVI Store and then restarted the phone and went to phone SW update and reinstalled it and went to the store and the queue was empty.
not sure if it will be same for yours i did this on N8
Suggest they give an easy way to do this than going through all of these

I have tried to download it at different times of the day but with the same results. I have been in contact with Apple support and have tried different options with the same result. I cannot download a new Version because in my Purchased List the applicaiton (FaceTime) is still there, and because I have halted it it tells me to resume. I can’t, because the same thing is going to happen. I have tried all the various troubleshooting tips supplied by my ISP and also Apple Support with no luck. I am currently working on a IMac OS 10.6.7. Has anybody got any ideas? Any suggestion would help. Thanks

Not much consolation but even new products can have issues and might need a trip to a store to return/replace.
The reason i asked about the LED on the AppleTV is that occasionally it thinks it's paired with a specific remote and ignores others - the unpair keypress I described is quick and free.

Possible reset safari and downloads window bug

I have noticed, at different times on different macs...
Reset safari, open the downloads window and the items in there do not clear out. In fact, it takes two reset Safari's to clear them out. Now, I have them set to download to desktop and not the downloads folder. I can reproduce 1 out of 3 times.

I have checked on multiple computers and even the Apple Retail store, the issue continues to happen, but there is no rhyme or reason what the trigger is:
I have noticed with Safari 3.2 and 3.2.1 that when resetting Safari, the downloads window does not always clear out. Upon an additional reset, the window does clear out.
If the downloads window was open, then you close it, reset safari, and then reopen the downloads window, whatever was there is still there (until you reset again).

What technologies are you using and where have you put the staging area?

Ask to downloada pdf: download progress zero, close, cancel download, re-open ff download finishes!

This was happening before FF 36.01 and also displayed garbaged fonts etc. in viewed pdfs
Now have set all pdf's to use Adobe Reader 9.5 and display is OK.
But the download progress bar does not move from 0.
When I quit FF it says that this will stop download: OK this. No file in directory
Immediately re-start FF and look at download progress: rapidly moves to finish
File now in folder !!!

Although Vista is SP2, I'm way behind on updates (I know !!, but I prefer not to upset a working PC having had bad problems in the past).
Neither of these KB's is installed and the problem only appeared a few weeks ago, not sure when, since I rarely download pdf's.
Since switching all application options named 'Adobe Acrobat...' to 'Use Adobe Reader 9.5' the font problem has disappeared, but the odd download behaviour remains.
I find it puzzling that the download continues on reopening Firefox despite having clicked OK on 'This will cancel download' when exiting the previous session.

For which downloads we pay - folio downloads, or including erros and canceled downloads?

My question is quite simple - for which folios we pay to Adobe (or which folios are deducted from our credit) - just Folio downloads, or for all downloads, including errors and canceled downloads?

Received the error 4960 whilst download was extracting - now am unable to cancel download

My trial took three days to download. Am now eventually at the extracting stage, and I have received the error 4960 message. It has been suggested in other threads that when this happens you should cancel the download and start again, but I am unable to cancel as it says it's still extracting. How can I start again? And how do I make sure it downloads properly this time?

Are you trying to download a trial? If so you can complete solution 1 in Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assistant.html#main_Solutio n_1 to reset the download experience. I would recommend choosing the default location of your User folder when reinitiating the download.
Alternately you can follow the steps listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369 to initiate a direct download.

I tried to write a java ftp client to transfer files within our network. One of very usefully function I want to add is to cancel the transfer while files
are downloading or uploading. I can do this on file uploading by closing "ftpclient.put(filename) methods at anytime, but have trouble on closing "ftpClient.get(remoteFilename)". When I tried to close it by using "in.close()", the program stucked. I even tried to kill the thread, but no luck. Can any one give me a hint? Here is the code:

How does the ftpClient.get("fileName") work? Also, are you running everything in the EventDispatchThread? If your running everything in the EventDispatchThread then ftpClient.get() will need to finish before an event can be handled.
If thats the case, you could use a SwingWorker to do the downloading so that the Event Thread is available to handle the cancel event.

How To Cancel Download of Podcast

I recently tried downloading previous episodes of a Fringe Podcast through Itunes on my computer unsuccessfully so I then tried to do the downloads on my Iphone through Itunes. Again it was unsuccessful this time because the files were too big if I remember correctly..........anyways heres my problem......when I go to the download screen on my Iphone the 3 Fringe Podcats still remain there, 2 are stuck on processing and the other says waiting. I want to remove them all from that download screen but do not know how. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try resetting the iPad and see if the podcasts will finish downloading, then delete them if you don't want them.

On your syncing cmputer go to iTunesStore>Check for available downloads. They shoud go there if problems dowloading them to yur iPod.
