Resetting a processer

resetting a processer on a logicboard for a pwrmacg5 1.6 anything im supposed to feel or hear to know its on correctly thanx guys/gals

HI-
It should feel like it sits in place without interference, and the hold down screws should enter the respective holes easily.
Tightening screws should be done in two or three steps, first two screws diagonally from each other.
Turn them a bit at a time, alternating, until almost tight.
Insert the other two screws and repeat.
Finally, tighten one, tighten the other diagonally from it, move to a third, tighten, and move diagonally to the fourth.

  • Mixing of interactive report and classic report fails the RESET PAGINATION process.

I have a tab page where i got 3 different reports REPORT_A (classic), REPORT_B(interactive)  and REPORT_C (CLASSIC) in the same alphabetic order. I have a reset pagination page process which will always fire (without any condition) when you visit the page via tab.
The reset pagination process which exists in the before header stage is firing but not resetting the interactive report. It does affect the subsequent classic report REPORT_C as well. The REPORT_A would reset pagination fine since it exists before the interactive report. Is this a know bug in apex?
I created a test demo application with exact steps to reproduce the problem. The steps are in the demo website itself.
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=56638
    U: testuser
    P: password
    Apex Version: 4.2.4.00.08
In my real application i would have a dropdownlist in the page based on which I would filter the data. The dropdownlist will have a corresponding after-submit branch which will handle the reset pagination & RIR absolutely fine. But when we visit the website through tab the above problem would crash the page.
I tried solutions like gReport.search('SEARCH') but that will fix only the interactive report, not the classic REPORT_C. That is just a hack anyway.
    Any ideas.?

This makes very little sense to me. Please explain this in detail. Are you advocating making changes to APEX metadata by executing DML on tables in the APEX_040200 schema? Doing so will leave your APEX instance in an unsupported an possibly inoperable state.

  • Can't include a reset button/process that cleans a search text field

    Hi all
Using apex 3.0.1 on a XE edition
In my app there's a report that displays a lot of records.
I included an text field item, where user can type a search criteria, then i added a button called "search" which, when submitted, display the records where search criteria is included.
Now, my problem is that i can't put a "reset" button, which, when submmitted, is supposed to clear the search text field, so the report display all records.
I tried adding a branch that triggers when reset buttos is pressed, clearing cache of search text field. It didn't worked, search string keeps on showing on text field.
Then i changed the process, instead of clearing cache, setting search text field item with a value of null. Didnt work either...
Does anyone have a good example of thjis type of reset button???
    tnks in advance....
    Fernando

yes Earl, i know it's pretty standard...but i got some trouble... anyway, i think it was just a "lapsus brutus" o' mine... It's solved now and here's what i did:
I created a text field button (where search string will be typed), a "submit as Go" button, and a "submit as reset" button. Then i created an uncondicional branch to same page, then i created a Clear Cache for Item process, where the text field cache is cleared, conditioned when "submit as reset" button is pressed.
That solved the problem, thnx very much for your help

  • Reset pagination process V2

This may be my environment having gone a little corrupt but in V2 (upgraded from v1.6) i don't seem to be able to find the option to create a process of type 'Reset Pagination For Page(s) (PageID,PageID,PageID)' which was available in V1.6
and those 'Reset Pagination for Page(s)' processes that were created in V1.6 seem to now only reset the pagination for the page the process is defined even though the page ids of the pages to be reset are specified
is this reset option still available in V2 or do i need to reinstall my environment??

A workaround for what? The previous posts explain the
workaround for the original problem.Scott: Your earlier post in this thread says
"Farhan - We took those out by mistake. They will most likely become available again in a patch. Thanks for pointing it out"
Yes, the version on htmldb.oracle.com does not have this problem, but the generally available HTML DB 2.0, which is what most customers would have on their site, would have this problem.
Update: htmldb.oracle.com seems to have been changed, my earlier statement "Click on Add Process. Choose PL/SQL. On the next page, in the drop-down list for Process Type, you can see the "Reset Pagination for pages (pageid,pageid,....)" is no longer true. I can no longer do this.
And there is no workaround for it, as you mentioned earlier.
    Thanks

    Hi!
I need a ABAP like a report or an function module for scheduling a job which restart or reset my workprocesses/batch processes.
Every night we have to logoff all users, delete all lock entries and clear all work processes.
For the steps users and lock entries have i found solutions, but for the step of processes i can´t find anything.
I know that there are transactions like SM37..., but i only need to do this in a job.
Does anyone have experience in this case or can help me?

  • Reset password process not working-how do I startup from disc

My teenager has a Mac mini and I set up her computer with the original logon/password. She logged on/off for many months without problems & then went for a long period without shutting it down & when she finally did, the password I setup no longer worked (she's not saavy enough to have changed it herself & I'm obviously not saavy enough to fix it). We both remember the original password (caps aren't on) and it just won't work. I've searched the discussion boards and none of the solutions work for resetting the administrator password. I have the original install discs but can't get to the password reset window. I have tried inserting disc 1 & pressing 'C' upon startup & I have tried the 'command-option-O-F' combination also. The regualar password screen comes up each time.
Please help - my own computer has been taken over by my teen!!

Try holding down on the option key while restarting the computer.

  • Planning Process Mgmt/Workflow function - Reset Planning Units

We are rolling forward our Planning application for a new budget year. I changed the Budget scenario start and end years, but I cannot recall how to reset the Planning units for Process Mgmt/Workflow. BTW: All the units are currently designated "Under Review", but they were actually finalized last summer. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
You can reset them by taking the same route you did to start them.
    Log in as an admin
Select File, then Process Management, then Manage Process.
    select a scenario.
    select a version.
select the top entity > and choose cycle exclude.
This will reset all process management for the scenario/version combination
    Ok?
    Cheers

  • Without Automatic Row Processing (DML)

    Hi All
I try to make one page to show use DML statements without standard Automatic Row Process.
    What I have:
    One page with:
    region: Report - select empno, ename, sal, deptno from emp;
    region: Form with items: p6_empn, p6_ename, p6_sal, p6_deptno
addictionaly in that moment I have:
    process CreateProcess:
    begin
insert into emp (empno, ename, sal, deptno)
    values (emp_seq.nextval, :P6_ENAME, :P6_SAL, :P6_DEPTNO);
    commit;
    end;
    and button CREATE.
Create Process is fired when I push CREATE button and Insert statement works corecctly. Branch is on the same page. (I use request).
Now I would like to show update and delete statements.
In Report I have in column EMPNO standard button Edit (each row)
    (<img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#edit.gif" alt="Edit">)
    I have process SelectProcess:
    begin
    select ename,sal,deptno
    into :p6_ename, :p6_sal, :p6_deptno

    where empno = :p6_empno;
    end;
It is fired In Load _ Before Header
When I push Edit in one row I would like to see details of employee in Form, but I see nothing. In session state all is correct - I see :p6.... with name, sal and ...
I dont know how to connect this process with buton and branch.
    could you help me?

    Hi,
I have done a quick test for this - [http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=25946:1]
On the Edit page, I have a process called P2_LOAD_DATA that runs "On Load - Before Header", is conditional on P2_EMPNO being NOT NULL and using the following code:
    BEGIN
    SELECT EMPNO, ENAME, JOB
    INTO :P2_EMPNO, :P2_ENAME, :P2_JOB
    FROM EMP
    WHERE EMPNO = :P2_EMPNO;
END;I have a button with a Button Name setting of "UPDATE" (user sees this as Apply Changes)
I then have a process that runs "On Submit - After Computations and Validations" and is conditional on REQUEST = UPDATE. The code is:
    BEGIN
    UPDATE EMP
    SET ENAME = :P2_ENAME,
    JOB = :P2_JOB
    WHERE EMPNO = :P2_EMPNO;
END;The source settings on P2_EMPNO, P2_ENAME and P2_JOB are as I described in my previous post.
One thing to check - do you have a "reset page" process? If so, remove it.

  • View access denied to Reset on task definition

    Hi,
We are facing a weird issue. We have an end user task which we trigger directly from a web page of a different application. The URL for task launch is something like this : https://mycomany.com/idmcs/user/processLaunch.jsp?id=Self+Service+Password+Reset+Registration&op_appid=csi.
If we open a new browser window and copy paste this URL and hit enter, it takes to /user/login.jsp. We input the user credentials and submit, it triggers the task.
But the behavior is different if we do the following:
    1. Open a browser window, access anonmain.jsp (https://mycomany.com/idmcs/user/anonmain.jsp)
    2. It routes to anonlogin.jsp (https://mycomany.com/idmcs/user/anonlogin.jsp) and asks for anononymous user name
    3. We input some junk user name submit. It takes to anonmain.jsp.
    4. Now in the same browser window if we copy past the processLaunch URL (https://mycomany.com/idmcs/user/processLaunch.jsp?id=Self+Service+Password+Reset+Registration&op_appid=csi) and click submit, it ideally should route to login.jsp.
Instead it throws the view access denied error : "View access denied to Reset on process Self Service Password Reset Registration"
Any idea what the issue might be?
    Thanks,
    kIDMan.

    Hi
Normally when this happens you need to add the process "Self Service Password Reset Registration" to the End User Tasks list and Anonymous User Tasks list configuration objects.
I dont know if this will help in your situation.

  • Files/Folders Sticking to Mouse Pointer - Not Releasing (Reset PRAM & Apple Hardware Test Fail to Run)

I've been having two issues with my Late 2008 MacBook Pro 15-inch - Running OS X 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion).  Unable to Reset the PRAM and Run Apple Hardware Test (AHT).
On a random basis - File/Folder icons are Sticking to the Mouse Pointer - Not Releasing.  I've done everything from trashing finder preferences, making sure Universal Access preferences are off, Restoring Defaults in the Energy Saver System Preferences, Resetting the System SMC.  Another post mentioned that this is being caused by the Graphics Driver not working correctly - and mentioned to put the MBP to sleep, then wake it up, and the files/folders are no longer sticking to the mouse pointer.  This works for me and released the sticking items in the Finder.
OK, Good this is a simple fix, BUT, what is really causing this issue, and how may it be fixed or repaired?
I also tried to Reset the PRAM and Run the Apple Hardware test (AHT), and these both fail to run on my MacBook Pro with OS X 10.8.5.
    1) Resetting the PRAM:
Shut down the MBP, press the power button, and hold down at the same time <option><command>-P-R.  The Reset PRAM process never starts up, but rather I receive the Padlock/Password Login which logs me into the Restore System Utilities.  I'm unable to Reset the PRAM.
    2) Apple Hardware Test (AHT):
Shut down the MBP, press the power button, and hold down the "D" key, the system boots up as normal and does not enter the AHT.
The File/Folder Finder sticking to the mouse pointer issue is very annoying.  Does anyone have a solution to resolve this issue?

    HI Barbara,
It sounds like the hard drive is failing or has failed. Boot from your Mac install disc and if you can run Disk Utility in case the startup disk needs repairs.
Insert your install disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
*(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel. It should say: Verified)*
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
When you are finished with DU, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Manager.
Select your start up disk and click Restart
While you have the Disk Utility window open, look at the bottom of the window. Where you see Capacity and Available. *Make sure there is always 10% to 15% free disk space*
If you cannot boot from your install disc, try booting in Safe Mode
    What is Safe Mode

  • Inserts using Automatic Row Processing (DML)  should not clear cache

    Hi,
    I am using APEX 4.0.1.00.03.
I created a form on a table for inserts and updates.
After I do an insert, the Automatic Row Processing (DML) clears cache for all items on the page.
But the user wants to see the data he inserted without having to query. How can I achieve this?
    Thanks
    Chandra

There isn't any "reset page" process on my page.

  • Pagination and Reset Pagination

I do not understand what pagination means
    and what "reset pagination" does.
I think I need an example where I can observe
the difference between using or omitting
    a pagination reset.
I created a page with a report and a search tool.
Apex created automatically a Reset Pagination Process.
However, I was not able to observe the behavior
    of this process.
The following explanation of the manual did not help me either:
"In Report regions, resets pagination back to the first result set.
The Application Express engine keeps track of where the user is
within a given result set. This process category returns the user
to the beginning result set. In other words, this category resets
the counters associated with the report region to return the first
part of the result set the next time the result set displays."
    Any better explanation/example?
    Thank you very much,
    Marios

Pagination gives you "pages" of your result set.
For example if you have a report that queries from the EMP table, and there are 100 rows in the emp table. If your report is set to display 20 records, then you have 5 "pages" of your report. The pagination allows the user to move from page to page of the result set, ie. rows 1-20, then rows 21-40 and so on.
If the user has moved to say the 3rd "page" of the result set (rows 31-40) and you they somehow navigate back to this report but the parameters change and the query only returns 25 rows, if the pagination is not reset, then the report will attempt to look at the 3rd page of your result set ,which now does not exist. So this will cause an error.
So when you navigate to a report, if there is a chance that the parameters have changed which will result in a different number of rows being returned by the query, then you should reset the pagination. Or always reset the pagination when the user changes parameters and queries the report again.

  • Using a customised Reset Password workflow and notification in OIM

    Hi all,
I am using Oracle11.1.1.5 OIM. I am trying to figure out how to create my own customised "Reset Password" process and replace (but not overwrite) the out-of-the-box "Reset password" process in OIM. Does anyone know how to do this? I have checked the documentation, but not sure that writing new java-coded event handlers is the way to go.
    regards,
    Evangelo

    >
With regards to creating a new (customised) "Reset Password" notification template via the OIM Administration console, how is it possible to change the OOTB(Out-Of-The-Box) "Reset Password" process so that it uses the new (customised) "Reset Password" notification template instead of the OOTB "Reset Password" notification template?
You can modify existing ResetPassword notification by adding new attributes to the body of the notification. Follow this link http://fusionsecurity.blogspot.in/2011/07/oim-11g-notifications.html to write your custom resolver class and using this class substitute the values of notification attributes with actual values obtained from resolver class. Register this resolver class as plugin to OIM.
Export the OOTB ResetPassword.xml from metadata/iam-features-request/notification and change the resolver class name to your custom resolver and import it back to MDS.
Also, the "From:" email attribute does not appear in the OOTB "Reset Password" notification template....where is this set (it is currently set to [email protected])?
With the OOTB Reset Password Trigger event, NotificationEvent.setSender value is set to XELSYSADM. So the from address will be the email address of xelsysadm.

  • Error :-reset pagination

    Dear Friend,
i am facing one problem in Report
Invalid set of rows requested, the source data of the report has been modified.
reset paginationHow to remove it ?
    Thanks
Edited by: Vedant on Oct 17, 2011 3:18 AM

    Hi,
I assume you have a where clause in your report where you restrict the records to values of page items. Are you getting the errors in the following scenario?
The user paginates in the report result, then changes some values of your page items and submits the page again. And now he is getting the error. What happens is that with the new filter criteria, APEX is not able to view for example page 3 of the result set, because it has changed an you haven't told APEX to start again from the beginning. In that case just use a "Reset Pagination" process which fires when your page gets submitted.

  • MySql BPEL process stale data while updating

    Hi all,
I have a application in mysql. There is a BPEL process tht polls the mysql database and polling strategy is delete the row after reading. (Since there is no MySQL adapter available i have created offline tables and toplink without using the adapter wizard). When a record is updated in mysql it gets reflected in the database. But when the BPEL process polls the table for the updated record, the message takes the stale values (values before updation).
    Thanks in advance,
    Anant.

    Hi Anant,
there is no caching issue here.
The delete polling strategy only allows you to poll for inserts. It does not allow you to poll for updates, for as soon as you insert a row a message is created and the row is deleted. To trigger a new message for that row reflecting updated values, you need to re-insert it into the table being polled.
Regardless to poll for updates please use the LogicalDeletePollingStrategy, where a row is updated after being read, instead of deleted. This way you can trigger a new message on update (by resetting the 'processed' field to false), and control when the row is first picked up (by inserting rows with 'processed' equal to true).
Also if there is any kind of counter field (like a timestamp) that gets updated on writes, then I would suggest the LastReadId/LastUpdated strategies, which are less intrusive.
    Thanks
    Steve
