Resetting Machine Authorization Count

I've installed iTunes on three machines, yet it says my authotization limit has been reached. I think it's because I'm using a dual boot system with the same copy of iTunes and everytime I swap between the two it asks me for my authorization again. Whatever the reason, PLEASE RESET MY AUTHORIZATION COUNT. There is more than one email address that needs to be reset. The following accounts need to be reset.

Go into your account settings and do it yourself. Note that you can only do it once, so I really suggest figuring out a way to stop losing your authorization every time.

I agree with Jack that when we configure account lockout policy, both security and user experience should be considered and balanced.
If we set the value of Reset account lockout counter after for too long,
Users may make excessive Help Desk calls, in the meanwhile, if this value is set too short, the attacker would have more chances to crack the system.
Therefore, administrators should take cautious when configuring policies, protecting organization’s network, and avoiding that un-related person having physical access to machines within organization.

When I sync my IPod it remembers the plays and doesn't count them from 1 even though I reset the play count, any fix?

     The problem is I like to track my play counts and like it to be correct, and it was having some errors so I reset my plays on all my songs however when I sync my iPod it will remember the amount of plays for example, if I play a song once on my iPod and then sync it it will have 1 play, then if I reset the play count back to 0 and play it on my iPod again when I sync it again it will give it a play count of 2 and so forth as many times as it gets played.
     I have an iPod touch 5, the most recent iTunes update and the most recent iPod software (iOS 8.1) and am using windows 7, but I think the problem comes from the iPod because if i reset the plays and play a song through iTunes it will go to 1, but if i listened to it 3 times on my iPod when i sync it, it will then go to 4.
     I have tried restoring the iPod and syncing it so there is no music on it and then putting it all back on but the problem persists. The only other thing i can think to do is uninstall/re-install iTunes but I'm worried if I do that it will delete my music. That is not a big deal as I have back up files elsewhere on my computer but I also have album art, lyrics etc. for all my 1077 songs and id rather avoid having to get it all back.
     Anyone know how to correct this or is perhaps having a similar problem?

How to reset the Terminal Count indicator on the PXI-6608

Dear Community,
Is there any way to reset the terminal count indicator on the PXI-6608? When I Use Get Attribute.vi I get the correct value the first time, but unfortunately (unlike DAQmx) reading the value doesn't reset it...
I'd like to keep track of how many times it has rolled over. And I don't want to use another counter to do that because I'd like to keep them free for other things.

Traditional daq does not have a means to reset the terminal count indicator, as far as I know. One thing you might be able to do is change the "output mode" to "toggle" and then read the "output state" to determine rollovers by determining when the output state has changed during your application.

How to Reset Application Badge Count AS3

Hi,
I have successfully sent an apple push notification using a native extension for adobe air by anders-tbl. The notification simply sets the badge count to 1 and has a little message.
What confuses me is how do I reset this badge count once a user reopens my application or opens the application by clicking on the notification? The badge count always stays at 1 even if I delete the application and reinstall it, it’s still there!!??
I know I can reset the badge count by sending a notification with badge = 0, but I can't dynamically do this by sending an empty APN with badge set to 0 as you only get the device token on first application load? Surely you set this via some kind of AS3 function? I can’t seem to find any help searching google at all.
If anyone knows or can nudge me in the right direction on how you are suposed to do this that would be great.

Machine Authorization

I have authorized a number of computers under my name. This is because of switching to a new computer, hard drive crashes, etc. I only have 1 machine authorization left. If I have to use it again, what options do I have as far as machine authorization beyond the 5.

That's reassuring to know! When the logic board failed on my iMac G5, I was unable to deauthorise it before sending it out for repair (obviously!). However, this time, when the VRAM started to go, I made sure to deauthorise the computer before taking it in for repair.
So you can imagine that I was a tad annoyed to discover a few moments ago that the previous deauthorisation hadn't been applied and that I was now using three of my five "slots"...
Knowing that I'll be able to wipe the slate clean (should I need to) is very calming. Thanks!

For your Adobe ID you probably need to log in again, if you don't have your password fill in your mail and choose forgot my password. if your mail address is known they send you a new password, if the mail is not known simply create a new Adobe ID, it's free.
But you should really contact Overdrive itself or look at the help pages on their site

Why has the new iTunes reset the play counts on all my purchased music?

I installed iTunes 11 and discovered that it had reset the play counts on all my iTunes-Store-purchased music. What gives? Here's another thing, perhaps for a separate question here on the forum: play counts and "last played" do not update after a song is played unless I had specifically double-clicked it. Weird.

Reset waste ink counter on Epson730 on Mac10.7.5?

Using my Mac 10.7.5, does anyone know of a download that will reset the waste ink counter on my Epson Artisan 730 printer. I have changed the waste ink pads, but my 730 printer has locked me out until I change the waste ink counter back to 0. The printer screen message is:" A printer's ink pad is at the end of its life.Please contact Epson Support. Turn Off." Epson support says go to an Epson Service Center and have the machine serviced. The Service Center charges over $100 to do a reset. I found a reset program online but it was only used on PCs not Macs. Any help would be greatly appreciated, to get my printer back in service.

First, just to declare an interest in this as I sell a related product and solution...
That out of the way, to answer your question there are Windows only utilities that will work to reset the printers waste ink counter and just need to be used to complete the reset. Once reset the printer can then be returned to the MacOS machine and not need the windows machine again (well, not until the waste counter hit maximum again).
Alternatively there's a MacOS compatible pay-per-reset option in the form of a utility called iWIC. This requires the purchase of a one-time digital key to complete the reset itself but the utility can be used without a key to read the waste counters and get some other information from the printer.

One critical thing to note though is that resetting and then ignoring the waste ink is a bit of a daft thing to do so if you do decide to reset, then consider replacing the waste pads or fitting something like a Printer Potty to you don't later discover you need a new carpet, etc...
