I have reset nvram, performed a safe boot, pulled the cache to desktop, replaced .globalpreference.plist, & tested all other keys with "keyboard viewer" (all other keys work except for the arrow).
In addition, I have gone thru all the recommended checks with universal access and have booted from snow leopard dvd and the left arrow still does not work.
I have tried using the left arrow key in all of applications I use such as: excel, ms word, address book, calendar, iphoto, terminal, & highlighting an icon and using the arrows to move to another selected icon.
Here is the kicker! In addition, I purchased a logitech solar bluetooth keyboard and the arrows work fine with my ipad but do not work when paired with the macbook pro. All other keys work fine on the macbook pro using the bluetooth keyboard.
I believe this says that the problem is not in my macbook pro keyboard. So where can it be?
Can anyone think of any other rabbit holes I can search?

I would also like to add that I've reverted the two cd drive and hard drive mods I did and the laptop is back to factory hardware and there is 0 corrosion or mold visible.

Problem with page cache clearing

I have a button that exits HTML DB and returns to our portal main page. That is done through a URL, and not a page number. There is no way to reset page cache with a URL branch. So I made a page that has a branch that calls the URL, and then I changed the button on the page to branch to this page and do the proper page cache resets before calling the other page that branches to the URL. However, the page cache is not being reset when I do this.
Here is the page flow
page 10 - Select a record for update
page 20 - Display data using an ID that is on page 10
If Return to Menu is clicked branch to page 1 and reset page 10 and page 20
Page 1 - Branches to URL
When I go back to page 10 from the application server page page 10 & 20 are still populated.
If I change page 20's return to menu to branch to page 10, then the reset does occur. What am I doing wrong? How do I reset the pages when leaving HTML DB?

Validations, like other components, can have conditions that observe the current request value. This value is set to the button name when a button submits the page. So you could have a condition on a validation like 'When request != Expression 1' and in the Expression 1 field type the button name (check the button attributes to confirm the case-sensitive name and submit the page in debug mode to see the value of request when you click the button).
About clearing page cache when branching to URL -- not sure what you're after: Cache can be cleared if an HTML DB page is invoked via URL. You specify clear-cache options in the branch definition which you can observe in the URL that invokes the target page. If you mean that you want the cache of one or more HTML DB pages to be cleared "when" a branch to a non-HTML DB page is taken, that doesn't really make sense because nothing much happens during a branch except to call the HTML DB engine's accept procedure or to do a URL redirect. So all you can do is specify some action to happen "before" a branch is taken, e.g., clear cache on pages x,y,z using a page process, or specify that the clear cache action is to occur "after" the branch is taken as manifested in the resulting URL to an HTML DB page. For something to happen "when" a branch is being done presumably would be after page processing but before a redirect, which we already support in the form of page processes.

I have a new Macbook Pro running Mavericks and safari consistently freezes. It takes several 'return/enter' presses to get to the page I requested. I have seen other comments and replies on how to fix (clear cache, clear extensions/plug-ins), to no avail.

I have a new macbook pro running mavericks and only using Safari as my browser. 75% of my url requests are 'hung up' and freeze. I have seen other posts and have tried to clear cache, reset safari, remove extensions, but to no avail.
Any recommendations?

If it works in a new user account, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

System Lock Error while reset & reversing the cleared document - FBRA

Hi Experts,
Currently using t-code FBRA, when user trying to reset & reverse the cleared document , they are facing "System Lock Error". We have analyzed on this issue and found SAP note no. u201C487347 u2013FBRA: Overflow of the lock table in production systemu201D . After implementation of this note, SAP has created one new transaction code, FBRA_LOAC.
However, when we tried to reset & reverse the cleared document using t-code FBRA_LOAC, we face the same error.
Can you help me to resolve this issue ?

We once faced these issue and got it resolved by extending parameter after extending the profile-parameter "enque/table_size", as per note note 13907. Do not forget the restart the server after extension.

Cannot reset NVRAM, Powermac will not boot

This happened just after I edited the NVRAM content using the 'nvram' command. I have a Universal binary plugin that won't run on PowerPC, figured it might have something to do with endianness, so I tried changing the boolean value for "little-endian?" in NVRAM from false to true.
At the time I though, no matter what, I'd be able to revert back to the original state by resetting NVRAM. But no!
I get the startup chime, but the display is blank. I've tried resetting PRAM and NVRAM (cmd-alt-p-r/-n-v), but holding down those keys after the first startup chime, the computer doesn't seem to reboot (i.e. no second chime).
Is there any other way of resetting the NVRAM? I can't access open firmware either.

So, now I have read the manual, and resetting PMU (note that the manual claims the PRAM-battery should remain in its socket for the procedure) should reset the PRAM.
I am suspecting my PRAM battery has lost so much charge it can no longer provide the required voltage of 3.3 - 3.7 Volts. Thus, there's not enough juice in there to do the actual reset.
I'll try replacing the battery and see what happens.

Select all the valid documents(Company code, Document Number and Fiscal Year, and You may need to call the function modules with Company code, Document Number and Fiscal Year in a loop.
for example
u_mode = 'N'.
Loop at IT_BELNR into WA_BELNR.
u_bukrs = wa_belnr-bukrs.
u_belnr = wa_belnr-belnr.
u_gjahr = wa_belnr-gjahr.
clear: wa_belnr, u_bukrs, u_belnr, u_gjahr.
Endloop.
Capture the error messages in a log and display it an ALV report.

Reset previous year cleared item

Dear experts,
i am trying to reset previous year vendor cleared document in transaction FBRA.
while doing system is giving message "Archiving has not finished"
message no:F5682.
is there any transaction code is there to reset previous year cleared item?
we are using ECC 5.0 version.

Dear Babu,
           The error message F5 682 is raised due to the check described
in note 210134. Due to program design this check is also done for a
'planned' archiving job, not only for actual 'running' archiving job,
as a 'planned' archiving job could be running the next month, and then
cause inconsistencies if for a document that is selected in this archive
run, the clearing is reversed on the same time.
As assuring data consistency in archiving has a very high priority this
check on 'planed' archiving jobs is done and is not planed to be
changed in future.
Solution:
Follow recommendations of note 210134, and check your live Customizing
in table T070 and T071 via Transaction OBR7/OBR8.
Only with regard to the life do potentially archivable documents
cause problems for the resetting of cleared items.
Also, as you may known, please check that there are no invalid /
incomplete archiving sessions within your system via SARA -> Management.
Within transaction SARA (archiving object FI_DOCUMNT) you have to press
the 'Managment' button to see the status of the different archiving runs
. Making a click on the incomplete archiving session you get a popup,
where you can mark the flag 'Invalid session'.
By marking this field you are declaring the contents of this archive
file as invalid. Therefore the archive can no longer be interpreted. The
archiving session can no longer be chosen for subsequent processes such
as Read, Delete etc.
OR
Delete the archive jobs that are scheduled to run.

"Work offline" button went away from taskbar and cannot recovered after performing CSC cache clear

Some Windows 7 Pro users reported DFS folder mapping issue, CSC cache was cleared by following below KB article.
- On a Windows Vista-based or Windows 7-based client computer, you can still access offline files even though the file server is removed from the network

After CSC cache clear, I am not able to see "Work offline" button from file explorer taskbar.
I was recommended to look for "always available offline" by right mouse click, but the item is not available for my platform.
- "Always available offline" option and Offline Files tab disappeared in folder options

- Next try the manual install method of:

- Then try on another computer

How can I make MUSE upload one png that it overlooks? Cache cleared & shows in Preview

MUSE uploads everything to BC except an inport png. I cleared the cache, it shows inPreview, no conflicts noted in Assets and the Browser reflects any other changes I make to the page. The space for the image is missing online and the entire page moves up to fill the space

Thanks for getting back. I had a deadline so I gave-up trying to make that (great) extracted image work and deleted it from my system -frustration. For what its worth, MUSE displayed the png in Design/ Preview/ Plan & provided an empty space for it when published. Besides this quirk, MUSE has been a great.

Posting type 9 reset and reverse clear

Dear Expert,
In case of bank statement has information that the transaction is cancelled, how can we handle this kind of transaction?
I see in posting rule, there is posting type '9' reset and reverse clear. However when I setup and run it foreground, system will calll tcode FBRA in which we have to fill in FI document number. This FI document can't be identified in the bank statement anyway. The business case may be check bounced, for example.
So how can we setup the posting rule with posting type '9' to cancel the FI document originally posted from the previous transaction?
Please kindly suggest.

Cache.clear()

Hi,
     I have a question about the behaviour of cache.clear().
     I have a cache that is read very heavily and inserted into at a much lower rate. There is an event that occurs periodically which means that all the keys (& values) in the cache become useless. We will never lookup the old values again.
     I would like to get rid of the "useless" values at the point that this event occurs. Is it wise to use cache.clear() in this context? I understand that clearing means that all the keys in the cache must be locked while the clearing occurs, but I'm not 100% clear on the details of this.
     Given that this cache is read so heavily, I am concerned that clear() might be "stopping the cluster" while the keys are deleted.
     But then again our application will never try to lookup an "old" key after the "clear" event occurs. So if Coherence is clever enough to be locking only the "old" keys then there wouldn't be a problem anyway.
     Any thoughts or light you can shed on this would be much appreciated.

     You can certainly use cache.clear(), but, you are right - on a very large caches it may be slow. If this event is periodic you can configure expiry-delay (see local-scheme).
