Resetting of Parked Fi Doc number posted to closed period.

Hi,
Can anyone please  assist  how can I reset parked F1 doc number xxxxx  posted to closed period in January?
Thanks
Ravi

Hi
u say , u parked a docuement in Feb month , but the user want that document  parked in the month of january.(which is already closed)
Ok but suppose  if u reset the document, then docuement date or posting date cannot be reset,. only amount or reference field u can reset.
So u reverse the parked document in the month of Feb,from t.code FB08  and if u parked that document in the month of jan , u can open the period from OB52 transaction.
If any query fee free ask me

  • Changing PO details when posted in closed period

    Hi,
    We are on SBO2007A PL42.
When we attempt to change details on a purchase order that was posted in a period that is now closed, we are unable to do so.
There shouldn't be a problem modifying these PO's as they don't affect the general ledger in any way.
The only way we have found around it is to modify the posting date of the PO and then change the details we want to change.
Is there any other way to allow us to change the details without changing the posting date?
    Thanks,
    Michael

This is a problem with authorisations, which is fixed in PL46 of 2007A.
Try giving authorisation to "update posted AR documents", or to allow to "post to Closing Periods".
I have found I needed to give both of these to get this to work.
The other option is to change the date on the PO to a date in an open period.
These should be able to be updated by superusers?

  • Outgoing Excise invoice posting in closed period

    Dear Expert,
My client did not make any Outgoing excise invoices till date from 01.08.10.
Because of this RG1 register also not updated.
Now they want to update this registers in SAP.
Now when they are preparing outgoing  excise invoice by giving posting and document as that date in billing document it is showing error to check the period.
FI periods are open  but MM periods are closed for this period that is "5(august)"
Is there any other option to post Outgoing excise invoice without opening period in MMPI.
As the implication is too high.
If we have to go for MMPI what are precautions we have to take.

    Hi,
Take the opening balance till date and update the opening balances through table and start the transaction now onwards. Closed posting periods not possible.

  • Parking Accrual doc

    Frnds
i am trying to post one Accrual doc, which i need to reverse at the end of the month, which i am able to do but before posting accrual document, i want to park it
as soon as i go to document, i can see the Park tag but it is not getting activated.
i am trying to post the accrual doc in FBS1, so please tell me how cani park the doc before posting it??
    thanks
    Manish

    HI Mathew Adman,
It is by system design that indeed the options for Park or Hold are not available
(greyed out) for accrual documents (FBS1).
The apparent reason is because an accural document requires a reversal date and a held document cannot handle a reversal posting.
You may want to consider using the "post with reference" feature to simplify the tasks of reentering accrual/deferral documents which occur every month.
In adition,  please read note 492006:
'Special transactions such as FBB1, FBS1, FB41 cannot and must not be parked since subsequent processing using FBV0 is not possible.'
Please assign points if it useful.

  • Allow posting to previous period (Backposting) in MM period close

    Hi,
Does anyone know the implications/consequences of allowing posting to previous period (Backposting) when doing MM period closing?
    Thanks.

    Hi Irene,
We need to close posting period in MM module to allow posting in new posting period. However, if there are still some transactions need to be posted for the just closed period, we allow posting for closed period as well.
However, we can allow postings only for one previous period in MM. We can't post to earlier posting periods.
After all the transactions get posted in initial days of new posting period, we can close previous posting period in FI. Automatically system will not allow posting for MM transactions that has financial implication.
    Hope this helps

  • Documents manually posted within dep.doc.number range

    Hi All,
I am running the AFAB and this error message is displayed.
"Documents manually posted within dep.doc.number range"
I am using the document type AF with the external number range
    AF     2008     1120000000     1129999999
Do you have any idea what is happening?
    Thanks in advance,
    Miguel.

    Hi,
I experience the same thing and I'm using ver 4.6C. I've tried to insert the additional number range in FBN1 but I have to remove the extenal number indicator first before I can enter the number.
But when I want to run the depreciation, I've got another error i.e. please create number range as external number. So i believe there is no effect.
When I check in TABA, the number range still maintain the same.
Please help coz my user need to view their asset balance urgently.

  • Impact of just parking invoice doc, but not posting???

I would like to know the risk/constrain involved with the below process, which may not be a standard practice.
    1. Service Provider maintains Classic SRM/ECC. Customer maintains own ECC.
    2. Shopping cart created in SRM and PO generated in ECC of Service provider.
    3. PO transferred to Customer ECC. Invoice posting, Payment and FI activities are carried out in customer ECC.
    4. Basic Invoice Information is transferred back to Service provider ECC, so this invoice will be shown as follow on document in the shopping cart. It will show only the invoice number and it is only for the informational purpose. There is neither finance activity nor any reporting are made out that system.
Service provider just want to Park the document and not to post it, so it won't hit the GL account. This eliminates considerable work FI configuration settings.
Question is whether this unorthodox method of just parking, but not posting will cause any impact/risk, even though no FI activities is carried on that system.

It is not a normal practice and does not fulfill the intent of the park process but as long as you have controls around preventing those parked documents from being posted this should probably work.
Consider them to be a little akin to delivery accruals that are never matched to an invoice, my thoughts are you might want to HOLD rather than PARK these documents.
You will also need to consider what your long term housekeeping and archiving strategy will be for these essentially orphaned documents.

  • Extracting doc number information from dox saved in DMS

    Hello,
I'm wanting to have a macro written that will put a document id into the
footer of saved documents when the appropriate button is pushed.
    I know I can use the standard Word "Insert | Autotext | Header/Footer |
Filename or Filename and path but when I do that, I get something like
    this:
    ::ODMAGRPWISEDOMAIN_AUS_DOM.POSTOFFICE_AUS_PO.Offi ce Administration:9055.1
whereas the powers-that-be want something like this:
    OA:9055.1
and nothing else. (The "OA" bit is the short version of Office
    Administration)
I have a developer who thinks he may be able to pull this together, but he
    has posed this question:
Is there a way to retrieve the profile information from Groupwise for a
document that is currently open on screen?
    Using GW7, SP2 on NetWare 6.5, SP6.
    TIA,
    Catherine

I think if you insert the filename with the option to include the path name,
you will get the ODMA string with the doc number at the end (assuming the
document has been saved and already has been assigned a doc number). Can
you parse that somehow? I did this a long time ago in WP but not Word.
Seems to me you should be able to record a macro to do that.

  • GL Line Items and PO Doc Number

Hi, I'm caught in a world unknown to me, i.e. R/3 world.
We are using 0FI_GL_4 and have a report called GL Detail.
I have been asked to enhance the reports functionality to include a PO doc Number.
I guess thats coming from MM side?
We also have 2LIS_02_ITM in BW.
My question, could I extend 0FI_GL_4 to include PO Doc Number? Or could I just have an InfoSet in BW to combine the Purhcasing Data ODS and GL ODS? I mean would it make functional and logical sense?
    Any guidance would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Frank

    Frank,
I understand from your post that you want to have both Fi_Gl and PO combined information ? Am i right.
I have recently implemented the same recently which is working fine.
    1. Enhance the Fi_Gl for Purchase doc , item and required.Since they originate from BSEG just add the fields to CI_BSIS structure.you will get the PO data.
    2. Now pull the purchase order item level data using 2lis_02_itm extractor.
    3.Pull FI_Gl_4 into one ODS say Fi_Gl_4
    4. Pull Purchasing data into PUR_t01
5.Now enhance the communication structure of FI_Gl_4 with the purchasing order fields. i.e /BIC/CS8FI_GL_4 in the below code.
6.Create an ODS with combined fields from purchasing and FI_Gl into another ODS.
7.Create an Update rule from Fi_Gl_4 to the new ODS and in the update rule lookup the activate table of purchase order ODS and read the values into new ODS.
8.For your reference i am attaching the start routine that i have written

  • Document number and reference doc number

    Hi All,
    When i post a invoice through F-22 i get a document number.
1: Is this doc. number also called invoice number
2: What is reference document number (XBLNR field). From where does it get its value
What's the use of this reference doc. number and how different it is from doc. number
    Thanks in advance,
    Prashanth

    hey,
    1. It is the invoice no.
    2. The reference document number is used as a search criterion when displaying or changing documents. In correspondence, the reference document number is sometimes printed in place of the document number.
Ex; Vendor send the invoice and it has a no. on it. You can use that no as document no and/or reference no when posting in the system. So when you do a search it is easy to pull the invoice based in this no.
    Hope this helps.

  • Config Setup for mapping Material Slip number to Ref Doc Number in FI Doc

    Hi,
We have a scenario where, when a GI/GR is done a Material Document gets generated and the Accounting Document will get generated from the Material Document Number. The Reference Doc number is being populated with the Delivery Number ( which is the same as the Material Slip Number) when it is the case with a Goods Issue. I would like to know where can we configure the setup for the populating the Reference document number in FI when a material document is posted.
    Thanks!!

    Dear Bill Hooper,
