See if going to Window>Workspace>Reset Workspace works.
Also, you can press the Green Maximize button after resetting the workspace to fit the photoshop window to the desktop.
That button on the bottom you pressed is to change screen modes:

There's nothing radically different about Photoshop CC.
Don't speak for others. Many serious Photoshop users have upgraded through every version. The changes have all been evolutionary.
That said, for more specific help, maybe you could supply a little more info? How about describing specifics, such as what you're seeing that's different, how you'd like it to look.
For all you've written, it's possible that you may just want to disable the Application Frame in the Window menu. We can't really tell.

basically it is immovable, i cant drag the window if i want to, the upper panel is simply gone
and all that happened so mysteriously

How much data is being backed-up from each Mac? (see what's shown for Estimated size of full backup under the exclusions box in Time Machine Prefs > Options).
Is there any other data on your Time Capsule, besides the backups?
Most likely, there just isn't room. Time Machine may be trying to do a very large (or full) backup of one or both Macs, and can't. Since it won't ever delete the most recent backup, there has to be enough room for one full backup plus whatever it's trying to back up now, plus 20% (for workspace).

For Premiere Elements 11 and 12, you cannot change its default project preset from NTSC AVCHD Full HD1080i30 or its PAL counterpart PAL AVCHD Full HD1080i25 to something else.
For each project, you can set the project preset manually if you do not want the program to take over setting the project preset based
on the properties of the first drag to the Timeline.
To set the project preset manually, open the project to the Expert workspace, go to File Menu/New/Project and Change Settings.
In the Change Settings area, change the project preset. Before you exit that area, be sure to have a check mark next to "Force Selected Project Setting on This Project" in the new project dialog.
Then you import your source media, using the appropriate Add Media choice.

How do I customize the workspace in Captivate 8?

I've just installed Captivate 8. I want to customize the workspace but I can't save my settings. The option that the Help file describes (Window>>Workspace>>New Workspace) isn't in my version of the software. All I see is Workspace>>Reset "Classic"

Rick points to Expert mode, but you have to be aware that there are no workspaces provided anymore in CP8. In expert mode you can create custom workspaces besides the Classic which is the only one left. Still, some possibilities are gone (hoping not for ever ): you cannot reduce a panel to an icon, you cannot move the BBB toolbar (that replaced the vertical toolbox), nor the Align toolbar, both are fixed and take up valuable space at the top of the screen. Other panels can be moved to different docking stations or made floatable.

DW CC: What happened to the workspace called Design?

I am taking a webdesign course and the book we are using is for CS6. In it there is a reference to resetting the Workplace Layout to "Design". In DW CC I don't see it as a choice. I ony have two choices: Expanded or Compact.
Has the Design workspace layout deleted?
Is either Compact or Expanded a new name for it?

The workspaces in Dreamweaver CC have been changed. But that doesn't stop you from creating your own workspace. Just drag and drop the panels to suit your own workflow, and select New Workspace from the menu. Save the workspace with your own name.
That's the way it's always worked. The default workspaces have always been meant to be just starting points. The new ones are simpler, and include the most frequently used panels.

I would like to dock the Actions panel on the workspace. Is there a way to do this?

I am new to Flash, and I saw where the actions panel can be docked or placed as a tab on the workspace. Could someone answer this for me?

You can doc ,Undoc and place actions panel as a tab on workspace .since it is not part of any workspace if you reset worksapce it will close .

How do I keep my preferences in the metadata panel? Saving the workspace does not help.

I have been searching for a way to keep preferences once I choose them in Bridge. Every time I open the program, I have to reset the interface under "IPTC Core." I do not need most of the fields and it is an irritant to have to do this each time. I have set up the workspace and saved it a number of times. All other items are saved except the metadata preferences. It is the Metadata Panel which is problematic.
I am using Windows 7 and this issue is the same on any computer I use. I am using Bridge in CS5 and 5.5.

Your template is messed up. <script> & <style> tags need to be inside your <head> </head> tags. Also, you require an editable region for the <head> or you can't edit styles from your child pages.
Replace this :

Don't forget to remove the CSS styles from your <body> tag. Save Template and populate changes to your child pages.
When things go south, use the W3C validation tools to check your code for errors.

Why do I have to always reset my workspace?

When I bring up bridge I always have to reset my workspace. It is close, but not right and always comes up at the same file folder - one I have not used in a while

ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error occurred
Cause:
Oracle classify this as a 'generic protocol adapter error'. In my experience it indicates that Oracle client does not know what instance to connect to or what TNS alias to use.
Possible Remedies:
If running on the server (or workstation) that is running the database (i.e. if the database is local to the machine) then try explicitly setting 'ORACLE_SID'. e.g.
set ORACLE_SID=<sid>
and then try again. If this works then consider whether to make the change permanent by specifying it as a system variable.
FOR RUN PARTICULAR SID:
NOTE: Please check the services for particular database instance is running or not before trying this!
Use services.msc to check the services of database.
Go to command prompt
C:\apex> set oracle_sid=<DB name>e.g C:\apex> set oracle_sid=orcl
C:\apex> sqlplus /nolog

You can get a shutdown like that if the computer gets too hot. Make sure the air intakes on the bottom and the exhaust vent on the top are clean and are not blocked by something in your workspace like papers or the back of the computer being too close to part of the furniture. You need a good six inches (15cm) of clearance between the exhaust slot and other objects or surfaces.
Anti-virus/internet security software, especially the "pay for" kinds, can increase operating temps. So can third-party backup software furnished with many "name-brand" external hard drives.
Fan motors and/or temperature sensors can fail. If you have the original grey disks that shipped with your iMac, find the on that has Apple Hardware Test (AHT) and run it. If you have a failed heat sensor or fan motor, it will detect it with an error code containing "SNS" if it's a bad sensor or "MOT" if its a bad fan motor.

Error while running the financial report in the workspace.

Hi,
Im getting the below error while running the financial report in the workspace in HTML mode.
*"Required application module reporting.HRRunDlg is not configured. Please contact your administrator".*
And im not able to login to the Hyperion Financial Reporting as well.. i get the below error
*"You are not authorized to use this functionality. Contact your administrator"*
Can someone let me know how to resolve this error.

You don't mention the version, what app server or web server you are using, etc.. That information might be helpful, but in general, you can try the following:
1. Make sure you have gone through the FR Web App deployment steps and verify the settings entered in the Config Tool.
2. For version 11.1.1.x and 9.3.1.x, try opening the report in FR Studio and running it via the FR Studio Print Preview (*bold*not*bold* Web Preview.) If the report runs/processes, then the back-end FR Services are functioning and the issue is confined to the web interface. Verify the FR Web App is up and listening on the designated port (8200, by default), check the FR Web App logs and the App Server (WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, OAS) logs for errors/issues.
If the report fails to process in FR Studio Print Preview, then there is a problem with the FR Reporting Server Service. Check to make sure the service is up/functioning and check the FR Report Server logs for errors.
3. Test access to other FR functionality in workspace (ex: Files->Preferences->Financial Reporting or Explore->Tools->Database Connection Manager?) If these don't work, then try to connect to the following URLs:
http://workspaceServer:19000/hr/status.jsp
http://frWebAppServer:8200/hr/status.jsp
Note: The URLs above assume standard/default ports. You may need to adjust them for your environment.
If the first URL fails, but the second URL works, there is a problem with the HTTP redirect settings on the Web Server (Apache, IIS, etc.) Run through the Workspace deployment and make sure the Web Server Config settings point to the right ports/servers.
