Resize a picture?

Is there any way to resize a picture conrol during run time such that everything rescales accordingly. Kind of like a zoom, not even. Say there is a picture control on my display, then the user streches the display out to twice the size, is there any way for the picture control to do the same with all the images getting larger accordingly. I highly doubt it but any ideas are welcome.

I believe your suspicions are correct. Check out Bruce Ammons answers. He has addressed this question recently on this exchange.

How do I resize a picture in my iPhoto library to 100 pixels?

You do this on export from iPhoto.
File -> export and note the Size option. You can decide the pixel dimensions there.

  • HELP!!! Can anyone else resize there picture for wallpaper?

    Hi
I have updated my iPad to the ISO 7.0.2
All great but the thing I have found is I can't resize my picture to fit on the main screen wallpaper like we could before?
We use to show the picture click on it box comes up at the bottom and says set as home screen or both ...
Now we have to click the icon bottom left then 2 more sets of icons come up and click the one to set as wallpaper then is says "move to scale" it won't let me have the full picture like it did before
Has anyone else had this problem or is it just me ??
    Thanks

  • How to resize a picture to letterhead sized

How do i resize a picture to letter head size in cs4?

    Image>Image size.
Then in the image size dialog box type in the document size.
The quality of the print will be dependant of the original pixel dimentions. The lower the pixel dimentions are the lower the quality will be when resizing. It is prefered to have the original image be larger than the final print size when you first open the image. But upscaling can work and has but only if there is enough detail that will be satisfactory to you after you scale the image.

To illustrate my problem, I have a picture & this picture consist of one face. So, this face covers the whole screen. But what I want to do is still to have the whole face but NOT covering the whole screen as I need some other spaces to put in text (I do not want to overlay the text across the face).
    Ay ideas ?

  • Locally resize a picture

These characters are not of equal size. They were not evenlly space, but can be cut and paste to move. My question is: how will you locally resize a picture?

I tried it. But there are two problems.:
    1. The resize has to be done with mouse, which is imprecise.
Is it possible to enter the resize ration by hand, i.e. some pop up window to enter the value?
    2. Is it possible to keep the width/height ration fixed?
    Thanks.

  • When resizing a picture in photo shop elements ?

When resizing a picture in photo shop elements 7,
can somebody explain the difference between bi-cubic and bi-cubic smoother?

    Hello,
The way I understand it is this:
When you resize an image for sending to someone or viewing on the web or a monitor the size should be 640x480 pixels. You are actually making your image smaller and Adobe recommends using 'bicubic sharper'.
When you resize an image for printing you want to check your ppi or pixels per inch. Ideally it should be 300ppi with 200ppi being the lowest density for an acceptable print. A point to remember is that Canon cameras usually come in at 180ppi so check your camera and set it for the highest quality in the camera menu. Adobe recommends choosing 'bicubic smoother'.
The choice is actually yours to make in either case. If you don't like what you see choose one of the other resampling choices to get what you want.

  • How resize a picture?

How can I resize a picture? All my pictures have more than 1.8MB and I want to resize some of them to a smaller size (200KB or less).

    Jose Frank:
You can resize the pictures via the Export process. In the File->Export->File Export menu option there is a section to set the pixel dimensions to a given size and quality level (jpeg compression). The exported file will be reduced in size considerably.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

    Gérard,
I couldnt help myself, so I created a small example that reduces the size of in image by a given factor (see the attached ResizeImage.vi).
    Have fun!

  • Resizing a picture including textboxes

    Hello
I tried to resize a picture composed of a group of shapes including text box. When I try to resize, all the other shapes have no problem but the font size does not change automatically. Do I have to always ungroup-resize font-regroup the object whenever I want to resize??
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
I can offer one solution that I'm pretty sure will function as you want, but there may be more elegant ones. Export or Print the page containing the 'Picture' to PDF. Open the PDF file in Preview and crop it as you like. Then save the cropped PDF image and bring it back into your Pages document. Now everything will scale together, but the text will no longer be editable.
One other comment; you wouldn't have to un-group to change font size, but you would probably want to reposition the text after sizing, so you would end up un-grouping anyway.
    Hope this gets you going.

  • How do I resize a picture on my ipod 4g before emailing it?

The manual says it asks you if you want to resize the picture when you go to email it, but mine's not giving me that option? Help!

I noticed that too. Everyone I've talked to that has the Itouch all say that when they go to email a picture, it asks them if they want to resize it, but mine doesn't. I've looked in all the control settings on mine and can't find anything related to resizing before sending. So I didn't know why mine wasn't working and asking me.

    Hi Miron,
You are best off taking the image into Preview or Photoshop and resizing it to match your framesize. You could use a button and resize that but it is not economical or pretty.

  • How to Resize a picture

    hi
I am using web cam acquiring image using lab view. i want to reduce the size of the picture before saving it .currently the size of the iamge is 300*200. i want to save it in smaller size becaz iwill be displaying this image on mobile and that require small pictures.any idea how to do it in labview.

Attached is a VI which resizes a 2D array (7.0) . It was designed to resize pictures and for pictures of your size it should be fast enough. I don't think webcams use 24 bit color, so you may have to make some modifications. Also, it doesn't do any "clever" stuff like averaging color values. It just takes some of the elements from the original, which seems to be good enough.
From what I saw, this VI gets slow when handling large arrays (I saw about a second for a 2800x1500). Does anyone have any optimizations ideas? I know that when windows creates thumbnails it also takes time, so I'm not too optimistic.
