Resize jpgs and other graphic files using iPhoto

I have iPhoto 5.
I'd like to create an avatar graphic file to upload into another forum. It cannot be any bigger than 100 x 80 pixels and 6 KB.
I have alot of files to choose from but, of course, they're all too big. Can I resize these with iPhoto?
I've heard you can do this with Adobe Photoshop (don't have it-though there's an OS 9 copy of Pagemaker kicking around here somewhere) & other 3rd party apps but I'd like to use my included software if I can.
Please excuse the question if there is an obvious answer but I'm fairly new to iLife software.

After all that, you still might not get a file size small enough (under 6k)
You might have to use program to make the quality less for a smaller file size.
A small contextual menu item can convert the jpeg to a lesser quality

Once the photo is exported from iPhoto following the directions in the above link, then you would control click on the image and scroll to Quickimage>convert to>jpeg>choose quality

Saving as a PDF file for some users have been a problem. If you boot into Safe Mode and run iPhoto you can create undamaged PDF files. We don't know why the problem but this is a workaround.
This problem prevents many from ordering books, calendars and cards since iPhoto creates PDF file of them for uploading and printing. Booting into Safe Mode lets them successfully order those items.

For your addressbook, export the files to vCard on the PowerMac, then bring them over to your Mac Pro. For your iPhoto, copy the Users -> yourname -> Pictures folder to your Desktop on the Mac Pro, and open iPhoto on the Mac Pro holding the command and option keys. Select the library file from that Pictures folder and open it. It should import all the pictures into iPhoto as part of the rebuild process. The "square" symbol that you are referring to is probably a CRLF (Carriage Return - Life Feed) Control Character.
This is more commonly known as a "Enter" at the end of a line / sentence.
To clean this character from strings in Java, please use:
String patternStr = "(?m)$^|[\\r\\n]+\\z";
String replaceStr = " ";
Pattern pattern = Pattern.compile(patternStr);
Matcher matcher = pattern.matcher(inputStr);
return matcher.replaceAll(replaceStr);

Well my acquisition code runs perfect. The problem is reading it. I can't seem to read my data no matter what I do. My data gets saved as a string using the array to string vi but I've read that the string to array vi (which I need to convert back to array to read my data) does not work on the pda. I'm using version 8.0. So I was trying to modify the program posted in this discussion so that it would save data from my DAQ. I did that but I still can't read the data after its saved. I really don't know what else to do. All I need to do is read the data on the pda itself. I can't understand why I'm having such a hard time doing that. I found a possible solution on another discussion that talks about parsing the strings because of the bug in the "string to array" vi. However, that lead me to another problem because for some reason, the array indicators or graphs don't function on the pda. When i build the program to the pda or emulator, the array indicators are faded out on the front panel as if the function is not valid. Does this kind of help give a better picture of what I'm trying to do. Simply read data back. Thanks.

We have several computers that receive email via Thunderbird. Two individuals received that exact same email. On one of the emails, the attachments are shown correctly (PDF file and a ZIP file). On the other computer, the attachments are also shown but any company logos (.png or .jpg) and other objects in the email (body_part_0.html or body_part_1.vcf) do not appear correctly in the body of the email but appear at the bottom of the email as attachments. I can send PDF files of these (2) different emails if it would be helpful.

Matt: Thanks for the quick reply... both computers have the identical antivirus software package. I'm thinking that there has to be something in the configuration of Thunderbird that is slightly different that is giving the different results.

Animating .psd or other graphic files

i have noticed that animation "behaviors" from the library do not work on .psd files or other bitmap graphic file formats. It seems that the Motion 5 behaviors only work with vector based shape tool in Motion. Is there a way to have the llibrary of behaviors work with .psd or other graphic file formats?

Seems that only the behaviors from the "shape" library will not work on the .psd graphics. Most of the general motion behaviors appear to be working with my graphics. Hmmmmm...
