Resize Multiple Images Simultaneously?

Someone told me that in an Adobe product (not sure if its PS) there is a way to resize several image files simultaneously to the same size. I cannot find a way to do this. Has anyone done this before or does anyone know how to?
Thanks

  • How to resize multiple images?

I am newbie to RH and would like to know if there is a method /shortcut by which I can resize multiple images?
Specifically to my project: I have close to 50 tables containing various images and their descriptions. When I insert these images into RH, the original image size is inserted and these images are of various sizes.
I know how to resize multiple images in Word but not in RH and hence, reaching to higher powers
    I am using RH 9
    Appreciate all your help!

Hi There, Well the best option is to resize each image individually but if you feel that you can select all images together and the  resize them all at once I am sure that you would like to give a read to this post from forums which talks about this job

  • Can I search for multiple images simultaneously in Aperture?

Can I search for multiple images simultaneously in Aperture?  For example, search for 'Image2.jpg, Image3.jpg, Image5.jpg' by image name, out of different folders?

dusan -- your best procedure is likely to be to type the first file name (without extension) in the search field of the Photos View, and then mark that file either with a Flag or a color label.  (You might clear all Flags prior.)  If you have a lot of images or a slow computer (or both ) you may have to wait a few seconds.  Aperture will show "Loading ... " on the left side of the tool strip while it churns through your images.
Then hit backspace twice, and type "60".  Mark the file found.
    Repeat with variations.
Then go to Flagged view, or filter the whole Photos view for the color-label you used.

  • Show file size in Cell Extras? (Either Compact or Expanded, or anywhere in Grid for multiple images simultaneously)

I've searched and seen several suggestions saying to change Metadata to Exif & IPTC to see the file size, but that's for only one image at a time. Under Cell Extras (both Compact and Expanded) I see options for Megapixeps, Cropped Dimensions, File Name, Extention, and a bunch of other options, but no file size. I suspect this is because file size isn't a metadata field and simply a file attribute (that may be incorrect, but regardless...) is there really no way to have file size visible in the thumbnail cells in Grid view in the Library? I'm trying to reduce redundancy and viewing file size of multiple images at a glance based on my Library Filter criteria would be a huge help. Thanks to anyone who can help sort me out!

Sure. I have a catalog with 22,000 images indiscriminately imported from hundreds of folders and multiple drives from this year alone (partially lost a RAID array to a corrupt index and recovered a dump of the files so I'm terribly disorganized juggling emergency redundancy backups wherever I had 50 gigs here, 100 gigs there, and working to clean up and organize my photos one year at a time ), including raw, jpg, websized jpg, png, tiff and psd (flattened and with layers/adjustments) and am now trying to identify my keepers and delete unnecessary files. I have 22 terabytes of personal files and photography spread chaotically and while I now have proper discipline when saving variants, I didn't always and want to remove unneeded, rejected, and duplicate images. I don't expect to be caught up for months or longer depending on my free time and sanity. Unfortunately, it's not as simple as keep the raw delete the rest. Sometimes I have multiple PSD documents with different version names and edits, sometimes with multiple layers, and I have to use a variety of information to identify which one is indeed the correct one to keep...or open them all/both.
Often, file size can be an indicator for me and aids in making the decision more quickly. For instance between 2 psd files with the same Megapixles I'm often able to identify the flattened version vs the layers intact version by file size if it wasn't properly noted in the filename, which unfortunately due to a combination of bad or evolving practices and being tired or rushed happens more often than I'd like to admit. One I just came across that brought me here searching was 3 similarly named and appearing PSD files of a panorama, all with the same MP/dimensions. One was flattened, one was the original stitch, and one was flattened with a few masks, adjustments, and an extra layer, and being the one I'd want to keep. Filesize helped me quickly identify which was which. Also sometimes dimensions are misleading, like when a panorama is first created and uncropped, its dimensions are larger, but a tighter cropped image with multiple layers and a larger file size indicates to me that it is newer and more finished, even though smaller dimensions typically indicates a crop and may not be a 'master' copy. Additionally, 2 images with different names but the exact same file size are very likely duplicates (at least in my workflow) but 2 similarly looking images with the same dimensions could be retouched/not, sharpened/not, have noise reduction/not, and I'd have to view them in detail to determine if they were in fact identical. For my purposes (since these are my personal fine art images & I have the raw files incase I occasionally mess up) I'm often willing to trade an educated guess for my time. Seeing identical file sizes on 2 apparently similar images is good enough for me to delete one.
I can select them individually and check...it's not a horrific problem. But it would save me time so I was hoping I had simply missed how to view that. My reasoning is 'why not' have the option available with all the others? Me personally, I don't care about megapixels when I already have the dimensions, that's just redundant and honestly much less helpful than LxW. File size would be an additional tool I would use, though. There are other examples but the main thing is that I do spend time checking filesize, and specifically when comparing multiple images, so having it displayed in the cell would be a time saver for me.

  • [REQ] resizing multiple images for same height or width

I often insert a lot of images in my indesign documents on a single page. I need to make them of the same height and then resize the image accordingly. I'm using cs6
For example to align all the images horizontally in a neat way, I change the height manually [for e.g. 60mm] in its dimensions box. Is there a way to do it quickly? Eg. I select all the images and put their height 60mm and their height becomes as specified and they get resized accordingly?
Same is the requirement of images for width.

  • Resize multiple images?

Hi everyone, I'm new here and to adobes photo programs.
I tried Lightroom3 but it's above my price range so I'm considering Elements instead.
I have several photos  that I need to resize. There's at any time 100+ photos of diferent people/things that I need to
make smaller to fit onto a A4 with space for text beside each. In LR I did so by importing the photos, selecting "all" then exporting and picking size to say "2cm /1cm" then just pasting from the folder into my document.  (the originals were not affected as far as I can tell)
    I can't find a try-it version for Elements so I'll ask here.
Can I do this in elements too or do I have to live on water for a month or two and get the LR?

The export function in lightroom gives you a choice of resizing the
long edge, short edge, width and height, etc.
The process multiple files dialog in elements doesn't have those choices,
so the procedure is a little different. You have to run the process multiple files twice
once for the landscape photos and once for the portrait photos.
    1. Copy your landscape photos to one folder and your portrait photos to another.
    2. For the portrait photos, in the process multiple files dialog, under image size
check the constrain proportions box and enter 2cm for the height (long edge)
(leave the width blank) resolution 300.
    3. For the landscape photos under image size check the constrain proportions box
and enter 2 cm for the width, leaving the height blank, resolution 300.

  • I need help trying to print ,move and resize multiple images on a page to print!help!

can anyone give me to some advice. I was using an older version of photoshop elements where i could position the image i wanted to print on the page. I could resize it, move it around and add more photo's. I print small images that I cut out for jewelry making and need to be able to add 12 small images to a 4x6 print size page. My new elements is not allowing me to do that! I'm frustrated and need help!! thanks!

It should work just the same as before: create a blank document, place your images on it, then print it. The only difference is that you can't change the position of the image in the print window anymore.

  • How do I resize multiple images in Photoshop CC?

I have upgraded to Photoshop CC. I am attempting to resize large quantites of images using the image processor. I need both the width and height set to an exact number for web use. When I enter the pixel size into the "resize" boxes and click run, the sizes i get are correct on one dimension but slightly off on the other dimension. When I just do one image at a time to these same dimensions it resizes correctly? It appears it only does when selecting large qunatites. Any suggestions?die

    Than you for the help!

  • Resizing multiple images in photoshop cs5

Hi all I am new to the forum and looking for some advice. I need to resize about 500 images down to fit inside in a square of 600px X 600px. The images are all different sizes just now plus they are all a different shape ie. some are more square and some are more rectangle. If picture was square it would need to resize to 600px by 600px but if it was retangle it would have to resize to something like 400px by 600px so it would fit inside the 600px by 600px square.
I am running Windows 7 64bit and using Photoshop CS5. I have had a search on the net but could only find info on how to do this when all the images are the same shape to start with.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

You can use File->Scripts->Image Processor for that
Convert files with the Image Processor:

  • How to resize multiple images if large enough?

    Hello there!
I asked a question in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5424733#5424733, and was redirected here.
My problem is that i need a way to resize a bunch of images in two different sizes.
One of the sizes is 1500px wide and that is no problem, since all of the images is wider then that.
The other size is 4000px wide, but not all of the images is that wide.
Therefore I only need to resize the ones that is more than 4000px wide, but i can't seem to dot that.
Does anybody know a script that I could use or have another solution to my problem?
    I'm running Design Premium 5.5
    Kind regards,
    Tommy Frost

    Thank you for your answer.
I figured it out, or rather, JJMack figured it out for me: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5424733#5424733
    But thanks anyway

  • How to make "adjustments" to multiple images simultaneously?

    Hi,
I have several images from a shoot with the incorrect while balance setting. Since these images were all taken under similar lighting conditions, I would like to adjust the white balance for all the shots simultaneously....how do i do this?

The Lift & Stamp tool will let you do this. Make the adjustments to one, then lift the adjustments from there and stamp the rest. Check out pages 13 & 14 in the "Performing Adjustments" PDF (found in the help menu) for details on how to do this.

  • Resizing Multiple Images to a lower quality of image in photoshop CS3

    Hi there,
I want to re size a lot of images to a lower quality. Is there a way of doing this process without having to open each individual file time after time. All the images are different sizes. I just want to lower the size of the file for putting in a pdf catalogue.
I'm sure there is a way of doing this and I probably have been shown before but I have completely forgotten.
I would appreciate any help or advice please. I'm using CS3.
    Thanks a million
    Ben

    Hi Ben,
I usualy crate an Action. This is what you do:
Place all your files into one directory, and create another directory inside that directory called for example. resized.
1.) Open Photoshop. Create an Action. New Action
2.) Than open one image from the directory
    3.) resize it.
    4.) Save it into resized
    5.) Close it
6.) Switch Recording OFF for the Action.
And than you just play it over and over again. Worked for me all the time.

  • Resize Multiple Images at once in Light Table??

I'm wondering if there is a way to resize more than one image white working inside a Light Table? I seem to recall being able to do this, but perhaps I just imagined it.
Does anyone know of a way to do this? If I have a lot of images in my Light Table it becomes a real pain if I want to make, say, 10 of them bigger (and/or the same size) at the same time.

Zak... Selecting one thumbnail > Select all > Delete worked just as you said; it leaves one image behind. I never would have tried that method because logically I would have thought that it would delete all the images since I chose 'Select all'. Thanks for the quick response and saving me a lot of work... Bill

Select all the versions that you want to auto enhance. Then on the Photos menu: Add Adjustment Preset>Quick Fixes>Auto Enhance.

  • Can't display multiple images simultaneously in PSE 9

In PSE 8 I could drag two images from the tray onto the main display for side by side comparison. And when I went into "Quick" edit mode, I'd see before and after images of the same photo side by side. Now in PSE 9 I can't do either of those things. Is there a way?

In Full Edit go to the preferences>General and turn on Allow Floating windows, then you can use it as you did in PSE 8.
In Quick Fix there's a pulldown menu below the preview area where you can set it to display Before/after.
